Made it to both breakfast and lunch service while in the area. Both were wonderful Had the omelette which was delish and a bunch of tapas style lunch options. Wonderful environment to sit out in when its sunny. Great local gardens and restaurant.

Love this place. Second time in Waterford in a month and I had to come back here for breakfast and explore the gardens. Went for Blaa breakfast sandwich with the egg and it didn’t disappoint. Everything grown from gardens outside and seasonal. Great place to explore afterwards as their gardens are huge and full of various plants and vegetables 👍🏻

Vegan breakfast for me , duck egg and Irish breakfast for him. DELICIOUS and your looking all around at the veg that’s grown and harvested and then put from garden to your plate.

Great ethical business with outstanding educational power. I have participated in GROWCircle ambassador programme + received the GROWBox. Tomatoes, rocket and oriental greens are beautifully growing. Fully recommended for everyone who wants to learn about sustainability and try growing own food.

Really good food but service was awful. After brunch we tried to order a second round of coffees. Had to repeatedly ask if they were coming, in the end they took 30 mins and the staff gave us them in take away cups as they said we were waiting so long we should just take them away! Management either need more staff or a manager on the ground to ensure things are running smoothly.

The food was really nice, the service needs support. Lovely staff but they seem to be under pressure and under staffed. We waited over 50 mins for food which was beautiful. Our teas came a good 20 mins after our breakfast when we were finished breakfast. Lovely place and lovely staff but the waiting times are far too long

Cant say enough good things about this place. They grow all their own vegetables on site, you can actually walk around and see them. Its not some token effort either its really where the food comes from, the outside part feels part of the garden too and you can watch bees come and go from the lavander as you eat.
Speaking of which, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, everything has a unique spin to it and you know its all fresh and original and not just thrown in from the freezer like so many places.
I love also that there is a little bit of forest they saved out the back that you can go for a brief walk in. Its small sure but its a million times more forest then most places have and if every company did this we would be laughing.
Well worth a visit, these guys deserve all the praise for what they are doing here and I will 100% be back with whoever else I can drag out with me.

Amazing cafe with veggies they grew on premises! Their commitment to reducing waste is really incredible and something I’d love to see in more restaurants.

Exceptional experience at Grow HQ! I've lived in Ireland for a while, but I had never had as good as a salad as the one at Grow HQ. They have the freshest ingredients, most of them growing in their own gardens and greenhouses. Their menu changes quite regularly according to season. My salad had the perfect balance of dressing and vegetables. They embody the true concept of farm-to-table and sustainable eating. Located just across from the University Hospital Waterford, Grow HQ is easily accessible by foot or by car. They have the most original and delicious recipes: who knew vegetables could be consumed in so many ways? The menu also has non-vegetarian options, all locally farmed and sourced: salads, soups, sourdough toasts, and more... The staff is friendly, and the food reasonably priced. Additionally, there is a small cooking store available on site and a coffee shop. One can also go to visit their greenhouses and orchards. I highly recommend anyone going to Waterford to drop by Grow HQ!

Fantastic lunch today! Lovely staff and amazing food. Everything was just so tasty and caters for everyone. I had the Mezze which was incredibly tasty. Others in our party had the hake, lamb burger, sausage and chips (for one of the children), we left nothing behind us!!! We had also very yummy desserts!!!

Only tried the food truck, but that was pretty nice. The salads and the sandwiches as well.

Went for breakfast here today, first time for me. Great concept, staff is friendly as well. Poached eggs overdone a bit, but still decent.
What did bother me was the kitchen staff dipping his finger into a bowl and then putting that finger in his mouth. The same person did NOT wash his hands and continued to handle bread. This is disgusting pre-pandemic, but in the midst of one... kitchen staff should be wearing gloves.

Ordered seeds from their website. Quick delivery! We planted then straight away and they have already sprouted. Delighted!

Loved the food and really quick service. I had the HQ Soup with bread and an amazing tea. The bread and soup was light and warming. Thank you and keep up what you are doing!! My sister did comment that her soup was slightly under seasoned.

enjoyed a delicious lunch with my wife here a few days ago, and i am sure we will be returning for more. the dining area is spacious and open, it blends really well with the surrounding landscape. the staff are cheerful and genuine, you can tell they care about this business. food was fresh, colorful, and tasty. basically everything on our plates was sourced less than 200 paces away! beetroot ice cream was a refreshing palate cleanser :)
the one criticism we had was that there are several giant potholes forming in the driveway, right off of the ring road. a bit bumpy, but well worth it!

Nice concept but breakfast portion could be bigger for the price

Super spot, have been here a few times for food and also attended one of the evening cooking classes. Staff are great and always lovely. The evening class with JB was brilliant, will definitely be trying to get back for another one. Keep up the great work!

The breakfast and building are absolutely fantastic, however I’m giving 3 stars based on the service. Took about 5-10 mins to be seated even though there was multiple tables available. Once we were seated we had to get our own menus and then had to call a waitress after 15 minutes to order. (Was close to walking out this point) Food took an additional 20 mins to arrive and the drinks arrived after that.
Hopefully next time I visit (which I will because the food is very high quality) I’ll be able to give 5 stars.

Simple food cooked well. Love how the menu changes depending on what has been picked in the garden.
Staff are great. Can't help you enough.
Food is so so so tasty. Ideal for a snack or lunch or even dinner.
I love it here

My absolute favourite place to eat in Waterford. Best scones on the planet. Great coffee.
Recent highlights: belgian style beef stew with kale, mezze platter, HQ hero veg served 5 ways, carrot cake.
Last weekend we had slow cooked lamb with carrots, potato and kale mash, and lamb jus. It was one of the most beautifully presented, flavorsome dishes I've eaten all summer. Incredible value at 16.50!
Their home brewed hq kombucha is mind blowing. Seriously. Try the beetroot, or the spicy rhubarb.
Update 2 Jan 2021
Grow hq is still an absolute delight. The most beautiful food in Ireland using veggies grown on the premises. We just ordered click and collect: falafel salad, toasted seagul sourdough sandwich with crowes ham and knockanore cheese, root veg soup. Oh lordy all just divine. And seeded scone plus homemade strawberry jam to finish it off. When it comes to covid, they take the safety measures very seriously. And they are all such a sound bunch of people!

Visited just for coffee but can't wait to go back to try the food. Lovely bright building with genuinely friendly staff and a great vibe in there. Took home a cookie for my housemate who said it was amazing! 10/10 Grow HQ!

One of the nicest breakfasts you will get. Everything is fresh and sourced locally. Setup inside is great with lots to buy. Staff are very helpful and make it a great all round experience

Absolutely love Grow HQ in Waterford and will plan to call in when visiting this part of the country at any point in the future! The place is dripping with the GIY ethos - had really tasty local food in the cafe, got great advice and encouragement from Ciaran when us newbies bought seeds at the shop. Can’t wait to check out one of their grow/cook courses next...

Healthy food grown by the company right beside the caffe. Lovely soups, coffees, sandwiches. Will definitely come back soon.

This restaurant has been my saviour on my regular visits to WRH from Dublin recently, being coeliac they are always able to cater for me and both food and service are first class. I love the GIY and healthy eating ethos.

This place is brilliant. The food is fantastic and the staff were very friendly. If they could supply the food at the hospital, patients would get better quicker ha ha
V. M.
Friendly staff. Lovely food with great fresh seasonal home grown ingredients prepared with that added flare.
Nice clean and tidy environment. Shall be back 👍

Nice and cozy, little bit pricy especially for the couple of vegan options considering that they grow their own veggies, five stars when they will add more vegan options
C. O.
A great example of how you can grow some of your own food at home, along with being a lovely place for lunch - they provide as much of the food from their own small farm as possible.
