The staff are lovely, helpful and pleasant the place is very clean and comfortable, however I ordered a Seafood Pie and what I got was albeit lovely looking had very little if no seafood in it. This was very disappointing considering the price. Would have stayed for dessert and coffee but was so disappointed with the main course I left. The three stars are for the staff.

Went there yesterday for afternoon tea with family. My gran niece was 9 and I was 60. From the time we arrived we were treated like royalty. The food was fantastic. The staff were a pleasure to deal with. What a wonderful experience. Can not praise it enough. So worth a visit. Will be back

Absolutely fab visit here today. This was our Christmas office lunch so we booked and preordered. We were seated on arrival and food was in front of us in a flash. The Goats Cheese salad was delish. Chips on the side fab too. Had a plain scone for dessert. Also lovely. Staff were brilliant. It was a busy lunchtime and they coped well. Looking after everyone. Relaxed, homely atmosphere! Nothing but good things to say! 😊

I normally love the Thatch and know because of Covid-19 they are doing this but every window was open, every door so it was freezing and had baby with me. Its a wet day too so not as if warm enough for that. Food lovely but couldn't enjoy as so cold sitting there.

First time visit for me... Busy place at lunchtime. I didn't realise that it would have been advisable to make a reservation but luckily I got a table. Staff were well trained and presented and knowledgeable about menu. No problem in rejigging a dish for me. Not bored whilst waiting as they have an interesting decor and dressers displaying locallly produced food and even a recent book published by a local author. My dish was tasty and filling. Looking around people were happily scoffing down panninis and open sandwiches. I was only sorry I had to leave promptly. Did a quick perusal of desert display I didn't see any warm puddings though which would have been a minus for me though. Must check next time!
