Amazing vegan dishes! We had Thai curry, Irish breakfast and a delicious pasta (oh, and a lovely chocolate cake) — all vegan. We were so happy that we found this restaurant because it's definitely a gem! Staff is super friendly and prices are fair.

This almost tiny cafe/restaurant punches way above its weight. Its supposedly a café, but - between the talents, knowledge & aesthetic of its three owners the absolutely SUPERB menu (brunch or standard 3 course) and the expertly curated wine list - it leaves most standard restaurants knocked-out. These folks know their food and are deeply warm sincere people who make your time here most pleasant indeed. They are observing the Covid necessities (certs, etc). You can book ahead & they can accommodate even a party of 12 with advance notice. I loved the passion of the owners and heartily wish them to be regularly swamped with custom.

Lovely lunch, freshly cooked steak & a superb beef & Guinness stew. Dessert tea & coffe fir just over €40. A most welcoming owner . I would highlyrecommend this small bistro . All covid regulations are strictly adhered to .

Excellent food, excellent service. A great variety of vegan options including weekly specials. Had the gourmet vegan burger, which was fantastic. Will be back to try out the rest of their menu, highly recommended.

Recently Order: Scrambled Eggs w/ bacon & Avocado, Latte, Toast, Peppermint tea (organic) Portion size: Huge Price/ Portion Ratio: Amazing! Cleanliness: Great Service: Super Friendly! Also not the fastest as only 1 person dealing with the people outside, we didn't mind and had told him we are in no rush. Covid Measures: Mask, anti-bacterial dispensers Comments: Caring staff member (or owner?) George was very friendly and forthcoming. I had an upset tummy that day and he was happy to serve me just dry toast whilst my company had a full meal. George went as far as giving me tips on what to do eat for the rest of the day and was really sympathetic Opinion: Will be back for more when back in Westport!

Unreal! Caters fantastically for meat eaters and veggies/vegans alike. Separate vegan section on the menu and even a vegan dessert option (hallelujah)! We all decided on the vegan burger (even the meat eater) as it looked so amazing - it was! Huge, stuffed full of all sorts, impossible to fit in your mouth but sooo tasty! The chips were great too! Dessert was a HUGE vegan apple slice - once again, delicious! Very friendly service too! Definitely will come back!

This place is really well decorated with a good atmosphere as well as lots of cute sayings about friendship everywhere! The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are really big, this is really good value for money! I highly recommend trying the hot chocolate! I do however feel their Covid-19 preventative measures could have been better.

Amazing little restaurant hidden away in Westport town. Food was fantastic we had a fabulous fish dish with cod, hake and calamari, this food is definitely made with love. We were a group travelling and visited Friends Bistro on Sunday morning for breakfast and had some vegans in the group. The man in charge was very accommodating from start to finish. Cute bistro, amazing food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend this bistro. Hope to return sometime soon.

We had lunch at this really good bistro yesterday and I have to say it was excellent. Three of us had the slow cooked Moroccan Chicken tagine which was superbe. Another friend who is coeliac had a medley of fish with rice and the verdict on this too was a 'big' thumbs up. To follow, two of us had the toblerone cheesecake and one had a fruit medley served with two ice creams which again were really great. George the waiter was so helpful and also very funny (he's a great sense of humour !) and we also met the chef who assured us that all the food is freshly made daily on the premises. The decor is simple and the layout is roomy and ideal for operating under the current Covid 19 restrictions. All this made for a memorable lunch. I can't recommend this place more highly and will be definitely returning when we next visit Westport.
