My family and I have been attending Dr Brian Higgins for a few years now. his entire team are so welcoming and accommodating. He is such a nice doctor and really cares for each and every one of his patients. He puts you at ease the minute you walk in the door, asking about your day and general chit chat. would highly recommend going to this practice. very friendly and professional.

Everyone at Galway Primary Care has always gone out of their way to accommodate me and my family's needs, particularly in relation to my children and during my pregnancies. A real human touch - empathetic with follow up calls to check how things are. This week however they have really demonstrated their dedication to their profession, delivering the highest standard of care to my children. The reception staff are so lovely when you phone worried about your kids and try their best to help you get seen or at least speaking to a doctor. They fitted us in at very short notice on Tuesday in order to assess my three year old when they were already extremely stretched. When my seven month old baby became ill on Friday, Dr. Higgins phoned me after the surgery had closed. When he sensed I was worried, he kept the surgery open after hours so he could see him. As he wasn't happy with his temperature we gave him medication and he waited a further half an hour to assess him again. So on a Friday night after a very long and busy day (and week) he and his receptionist stayed behind for hour after the surgery had closed to help me and my baby son. Cannot speak highly enough about them and would recommend them to anyone. Proper professional care, always with a smile.

Excellent service from all the staff in Galway primary care, from the moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome. My family and I have been patients here for a few years now, and Dr. Higgins and his team always go above and beyond to care for their patients. I always walk away from an appointment more knowledgeable than when I went in which shows how well the doctors in primary care explain whatever issue you may have with you and how best to treat it.

I have had an excellent service from both Dr Brian Higgins and the nurses who took blood. I have recently changed doctors to this practice where I have felt I have been looked after to the highest standard your paying for a service and you really feel you have received it after each appointment. Brian has a lovely manner and explained everything so I understood and he wants to give you the best solution that will help. Lovely clean practice and you really get a great service from start to finish. Highly recommend. Brian is a gentleman and really knows his stuff.

Really fantastic clinic. They were able to book me in for an appointment on Christmas Eve after my previous GP had sent me into the hospital and the hospital had told me they couldn't help and to find a GP. My knee was ballooned out and I was barely able to walk meaning I was certainly struggling to muster any enjoyment from Christmas 2020. Dr Higgins was exceptionally friendly with a fantastic bedside manner and managed to perform a procedure painlessly which can be quite painful in other hands. I'll certainly be going back again.

I have been attending Galway Primary Care on the Tuam Rd, for a number of years under Dr. Brian Higgins. I can honestly say having been at many different consultancies over the years, this is by far the best in my experience. From a clean well maintained up to date facility to understanding and helpful staff with a wide variety of services and expertise I can only recommend them very highly on a personal level. I will add that I have Google reviewed many establishment's and services and definitely feel the need to give Dr. Brian Higgins and all the staff my utmost gratitude and respect. 10 / 10 would recommend

Decided to have a full all over health check and what a great service.My first visit and one appointment does all tests. I got private personal attention from the in house nurse for all tests and a very thorough check and medical assessment from Dr Brian. He explained all the results in an easy to understand friendly manner and advised on health, foods and much more. From blood tests to body scans , heart, hearing , eye test and more this was great value and a vital part of an annual checkup. All in one visit and thanks to the polite receptionist for an early appointment. Thank you.

I've been going to Galway Primary Care for a number of years, and every time the service has been great. The receptionists have always been able to squeeze me in, the doctors are friendly, and seems no question is beneath them to answer. I've had doctors in the past who just want to churn through as many patients in the day - get you in and out as fast as possible, but I've never felt that here. I think a lot of the negative reviews here are stemming from people who didn't get what they wanted. So they are lashing out here. All I can say is, the staff are all great, the building is clean and comfortable, and they offer a number of services that would take weeks/months/years to get through HSE. Great work to all the team there, and all the best for 2020.

Excellent Doctors practice!! I visited Dr Brian Higgins following a sports injury. He was quickly able to diagnose the root cause of my pain, which had been previously missed by physiotherapist and also by another Doctor at a different practice. He gave great advice and offered thorough explanation on my recovery/treatment plan. The practice also offers parking facilities, very accessible opening hours and a short waiting time for drop-ins. I really couldn’t recommend Primary Care Tuam Road highly enough!

I brought my daughter (15 months) to the walk in clinic last night. She was treated by her own doctor during the week and she seemed to be getting worse not better. I was seen to within a half hour which is fantastic for late night service of an unregistered patient. We finally got to the bottom of why my daughter was so unwell (quite a simple diagnosis in the end) without the need for yet more antibiotics and she got amazing treatment. She has slept for the first night in over a week. I am so delighted with the service and so relieved my daughter is finally doing better. I thoroughly recommend this surgery. Thank you again Dr Higgins :)

Brian looked after my daughters eye after being turned away from my own GP as he said it was nothing to worry about. Brian prescribed antihistamine and a cream for her eye and it was 90% improved within 24 hours. Also saw my parents when they moved over from the UK and left all their medication behind. Highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a Doctor. Lovely clean premises and friendly staff. 5*

I work in a large Company in Galway city. We wanted to raise awareness on men's health in conjunction with the Movember fundraising initiative. Dr. Brian Higgins kindly agreed to come on site for a Q&A and information session, we had between 30-40 participants. Dr.Higgins centered this talk around Men's health but also covered a lot of other topics. All participants found this very interactive, extremely informative, and everyone would highly recommend this service. Massive thank you for your engagement Dr.Higgins, we hope to do this again in 6-12 months!

I came for weekend to Galway it was freezing no where was open on Saturday . The only GP was open , the receptionist she was so polite even she was pregnant but came exactly at the time . I personally had to change doctors due to I wasn't getting the advice I need , a friend recommended this practice, and they were right from the minute I walk in to the building I was greeted by a friendly receptionist Laura I believe was her name , she seem to me to be a person that enjoyed her job , she ask me to wait in the waiting room , which I have to admit was spotless the whole layout of the practice is very quirky and up to date , I booked my appointment at 7:30 and bang on time doctor brain Higgins called me in greeted me with a smile and a hand shake , first he proceed to tell me about the history of the practice and himself which I thought was very professional, through my appointment I couldn't of felt more comfortable and relaxed , everything was explain to me , medication and the illness I had , also was not rushed which I was very surprised, most practices want you in and out ...all and all I will be returning to this practice and happy to have brain Higgins as my local gp.... highly recommended
