James is a very good instructor and is always on time for appointments., His communication was clear, precise and polite. He was very patient with me as a learner driver, making corrections in a manner that built my confidence on the road. Am so glad I chose him. Am proud he helped me pass my test on first attempt. Six EDT lessons with James. That's all it took for me to pass in the first attempt, in Ireland's hardest testing centre of 2021. Brilliant instructor. The car have a rearview camera, which great improve your chances in the reversal maneuver during the test. Say the secret phrase "Mickey is a fad, Hickey a nice lad" for instant 5% discount :)

I cannot recommend James enough for anyone looking to start their journey on the roads. I had completed 12 EDT's with a different company but still felt I had a lot more to learn before tackling the test. This is where James came in and was absolutely brilliant with his patience, delivery and eye for spotting any bad habits I had. I also loved that he made himself available at any times requested. In 5 short lessons and pretests he was able to help me prepare for the test more than my official 12 EDT lessons did and help me pass first time. I cannot fault his service!

Cannot recommend James Hickey enough. I have been driving a number of years but just couldn't pass the test over minor things or some bad habits I'd picked up which started to really affect my confidence. Once I got my new test date, I contacted James to organise some pre-tests as he was also familiar with the particular route for my test centre. I found James very open and honest on areas that needed work and didn't sugar coat any aspects that needed attention. Today I passed my test having done a pre-test this morning and I am beyond thrilled and grateful. I truly believe James helped me through it as he is very approachable too. Thank you!

I done my first pre test with James 10 days ago and I had about 27 grade 2’s and he explained everything in a excellent way on how to improve and avoid the mistakes. After taking his notes on, I done another pre test yesterday and my grade 2 faults went down to 16. I then took his notes on board again and I just passed my driving test today. After just one pretest, he was able to pick up all my bad habits and the next few lessons were spent fixing them. When it came to the theory part of the test, James gave me all the material to ensure that I was prepared. He made sure to go over everything more than once whenever I didn’t understand anything, until I understood. Another key thing I liked about him is that he made himself available as much as possible regardless of how late some of my requests were. I did two pre-tests with James and without them I would not have had a successful first attempt at the test. He really knows what he is talking about. He identified and taught me how to use the clutch properly, something two other instructors couldn’t do. I would recommend James to anyone.
