A. S.Nice place. One of a few pet friendly hotels.book pet in advance. Clean,very friendly staff. Parking on -2 floor,entering at the back,from seaside. Lovely views. Food is great. Prices very reasonable for 3 star. Rooms clean and fully complete with bits and pieces. Hope to come again.

Shall I go on,I will, my good friend had booked us in to another pub/ restaurant but they got it wrong, so long story short would not let us in,and we ended up with Ocean Sands Hotel. Thank good ,they were very busy ,but had a table. We had a beautiful time there,what a cosy place and Thank You.

c. g.Stayed here for our best friends wedding. Great location, stunning views and seemingly nice place. However, there was a wedding the night before and when we got to our (family) room the following day there was hair grips in the "spare bed" and loads of hairs in the bath. The room was at a 'discounted' rate for the wedding. Yet the following night our friend decided to get a room last minute, costing €30 less than the rooms we stayed in for the wedding. The card machine was broken on check out, meaning we had to pay cash - taken from the atm in the reception which charged to take money out, and meant our room cost £145 for the €139 room.. Few issues that bride and groom were disappointed in during the two days we all stayed with them but I don't feel its my place to say. Overall the stay okay, the food on the day of the wedding was gorgeous and the staff around the day of the wedding were so lovely but the events on the night of the wedding and following 'day after gathering' really put a downer on the whole experience for the couple on their big day. Wedding was amazing and I hope the bride and groom saw that we all had an amazing time, regardless of the issues. Majority of the staff were so lovely and friendly- 2 men on night management should take a few pointers from their fellow colleagues in costumer service.
C. C.Great location with parking. Staff were friendly and Covid rules were being followed. The dinner menu for the deal we were on was unexciting pub grub and not particularly well executed. We had a comedy of errors with the wine but at least we got it on the house when it finally arrived. I would stay here again but eat somewhere else.
A. O.We had our wedding reception at the Ocean Sands about a week after COVID restrictions lifted in Ireland. Olivia was beyond helpful, helping take the stress out of all of the planning, as well as running around on the day making everything perfect, which I'm sure wasn't easy for her as we were planning it internationally from the UK and the US. When I told her I was a little nervous about giving the speech she even let me practice on the microphone and gave me a quick brandy. The venue was beautifully coordinated and decorated, with everything we wanted taken care of. There was a brief hiccup with the bar service, but this shouldn't detract from the overall amazing experience had by all. Special mention should also be made to the food, which was a multiple course meal with several options - all of our guests commented on how nice the food was, many saying it was the best meal they'd had in a while, never-mind at a wedding. We also stayed in the Presidential Suite, which we would highly recommend to any couple who want to make their stay feel extra special.
R. D.We truly enjoyed our stay at The Ocean Sands Hotel. Management and staff were very helpful and friendly. Our Turkey and Ham dinner was delicious and great value for money with large portions. Breakfast was very tasty especially the Fried Mushrooms and we filled our plates. The breakfast staff could have been a little more friendly. But I won't hold this against them. Our Room was spotless clean, Cumfy and Cosy. We had a breathtaking view from our window overlooking the Massive Golden Sandy Beach 50yds below us. The Garden area also was well kept and had a Romantic/Exotic feel to it. The Reception staff were very helpful in arranging our stay. A visit to this hotel is a must. h. o.Beautiful hotel , firstly the most friendly receptionist ever, when you consider the fact the receptionist is the first and last person you speak to in a hotel this is a big plus to have people so genuinely friendly and helpful.🤗. The bar staff where just as friendly and helpful sound bunch of lads/lady's . As for the food 😋 top notch hats off to the kitchen it was fabulous . Our Room was spotless and comfortable. 👌We will be back .

B.I've visited the ocean sands hotel for a number of years and loved each and every visit (BUT) since new management took over I find the ambiance has changed ALSO the party a accompanied with was going there since it opened and had maid a slight comment on his food at dinner time witch the manager dismissed with a smart comment anyway I give it for stars as it's still the best hotel,location and value u can get.

Alot of young new staff employed here they were very courteous and polite.. the barman with the bun could be a little more patient with them he was quite rude a few times to a young bar man.really enjoyed will be back

S. M.The Ocean Sands Hotel has an atmosphere that not many hotels manage to achieve. Any hotel can have beautiful decor, perfect surroundings, comfy rooms and delicious food, which ocean sands does, but it's the people that make it something special. Every staff member I met was courteous, friendly and warm. You could tell that they were 'people' people and they got along with each other. They had great rapport with the locals that came in and this left a light happy atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

It was clean, comfortable, we enjoyed our meals, food excellently cooked, and a good selection to choose from. First breakfast in dining room, second morning enjoyed the luxury of excellent breakfast in our room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable cost. Would go again, perhaps for three nights as there are so many places to go sight-seeing within a reasonable driving distance.

Had a lovely 3 night break with kids and puppy. Would definitely recommend hotel right on the beach. Food was fabulous and great staff. All very relaxing.

The food was typical hotel food, found the kids buffet a bit cold however a good selection all round for adults and kids.The kids playroom is a lovely idea and well equipped however the air circulation in the actual playroom is not good.I found it very heavy and musky in there for the half an hour we spent there.With current situations I would say invest in some proper ventilation. Staff were very nice and friendly and the bar is gorgeous with a seriously good variety of drinks to choose from.Also the music in the evening was a very nice treat.

R. O.Stayed here for results night and dined in the hotel’s restaurant. The apartment we stayed in was great - very clean and well equipped. The food was lovely and the service was nothing but exceptional. My main course was a few moments later which wasn’t a problem at all because I ordered a side of onion rings which came on time and the staff were nothing but apologetic and went above and beyond with offering free dessert/drinks to make up for it. The names of the staff who served us were John & Saoirse I believe. 11/10

I realise it's probably so you don't have to cut it but it just seems unnecessary and certainly not environmentally friendly or even healthy for anybody or for any living thing (think biodiversity). Pretty startling to come on it in a hotel garden. As for the plastic/fabric flower baskets 🙄🙄. Just as well everything about the hotel inside is good.

D.Went here for food in the bar as an adult family, extremely helpful and friendly staff however staff in the bar seemed some what unorganized (we were half way through our mains when the wine we had ordered before ordering food arrived to the table). Also they have a dish that comes with 'homemade curry sauce' but the sauce is clearly McDonnells powder sauce and not homemade as described on the menu. Other than them quirks the food was good quality, place was clean and staff were lovely.
J. M. K.I was very disappointed with my stay. cost of €102.50 for a bed for one night in September. Breakfast extra. The bathroom walls were dirty and used soap left on the bath. Bin not emptied. only four channels on the TV. sea view was a gable wall with very restricted view of the sea. Genuinely felt ripped off. certainly would not recommend to others.

Thank you to all the staff from the housekeeping to reception and waiters to bar staff the hospitality shown by all was just excellent A special mention to Olivia and the girls in reception for all their care and concern after a slight mishap at the start of our holiday. Also a big thank you to Alma in reception for giving us the extra nights accommodation at such short notice. We had such a good time and we were so well looked after by all the staff at the oceansands that we will be back again soon.

L. G.The location was fantastic, and the food delicious. We stayed in the duplex and although it was spotlessly clean, the sofas could do with an update and the bathroom has a constant damp smell , however it would not stop me from staying here again.
C. R.Front desk staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful with guiding us in the right direction on local or at least nearby sights to see. Room was clean with an ocean view, but very hot. Thankfully windows opened partially to let in fresh air and the sounds of the ocean. Breakfast Buffet was nothing special with less offerings than most places we stayed at on this trip. We also ate dinner at their restaurant and it was very tasty. We had a limited St Patrick's Day menu but there was still enough to choose from. Best thing by far was the STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING! It was amazing. Came back the next night just for dessert.

This is a warm, cosy elegant Hotel with the people who work their to match. All staff are friendly and helpful ..My Dad raved about the young girl serving him dinner at the top table that she had a smile from ear to ear when she came out to serve each course.
The sea view as you look out the window from your top table is beautiful as the sun starts to set over Enniscrone beach.
Olivia is a true lady an extremely hard worker her attention to detail is unreal ,this made our day run so smooth .. from the first day we met her she never forced her pitch to sell the Hotel she just talked to us about our options and what she could do for us and we knew she was the women for the job.
Everything was perfect from start to finish we had so many people tell us it was the nicest food they have had at wedding ..
Feehilys florist decorated the ballroom for us and wow,it blew us away ! This was never an issue with Olivia ,actually she was probably just as excited as us to see the end result .

R. H.Have no hesitation in recommending the Ocean Sands Hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments and the views, from the upstairs living area, were breath-taking. Although six of us shared the apartment, there was plenty of space with a huge, open plan living/dining area and three double bedrooms (one of which had bunk beds) downstairs. No problems experienced at all and very reasonably priced. Thank you.

c. w.This beachside hotel is very popular for weddings. Book at least 2 years before your big day.
The best stay overs are the self catering flats with all the amenities you would be expect.
The flats are big enough to be classed as houses with enough space to host a party.
They are minimally decorated, bright, airy and offer breathtaking views of the beach and sea.
There is no swimming pool at this hotel, but there is an indoor pool, water slide, jacuzzi and steam room just a short stroll away.
Try dining in the restaurant. The food is nice for both day and evening meals and there is a wide selection of drinks on offer.
There is a kids playroom to give parents a break, even if it does need upgrading. Sadly things are broken here.
The Ocean Sands has an enclosed carpark by the beach. The spaces are small, but at least the cameras offer security, which is a blessing when Enniscrone becomes busy in the summer.
