Just had my first Online Language Exchange and thoroughly enjoyed my time! I was a bit nervous, not knowing exactly what to expect, but it is well-organized and well-run, and Brian is a friendly and professional host. First of all..sorry for my English! I am still learning :) Hi! I am Silvia, I am from Spain and I discovered Online Language Exchange a few months ago. Since then, it has been a great experience where I have been improving my English day by day and step by step. This community is amazing, because you are learning while you are making a lot of friends! I feel the difference when I started and now (even I know I have to keep working on it!), not only due to the vocabulary or the grammar, moreover my confidence has increased because it is wonderful when you are speaking with a native and he or she understand you and you understand him or her!!! In addiction to that, you always make friends around the world, that is one of the best feelings! In my case, that I am leaning English, thanks to Online Language Exchange I have friends from Ireland, England, USA, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Argentina, Indonesia, etc... and it is amazing to share things about culture, languages etc.. in other language, it feels great! The Online Language Exchange is an awesome and enjoyable way to improve on your language skills! I've been participating in these events for a few months now and every zoom evening is great fun, educational and really sociable. I meet new people each time and have also got to know some of the other regulars, while building on my skills in French and Italian. There's absolutely no pressure and everyone is really friendly and supportive. You can talk and contribute as much or as little as you wish. I highly recommend it!

What a brilliant concept! You break off into small groups to practice the languages you're learning and provide support to people learning your native language, then change groups after 20 minutes and meet more people. It was friendly, and festive thanks partly to the European evening time slot. I had to get up very early to join in, but it was certainly worth it. Can't wait for the next session.

I have been joining in Language exchange online for a couple of months. I wanted to practice my French (which I have been speaking for many years). I met many friendly people and had many interesting chats in small groups. Since May 2020 I have been learning Italian and in the last few weeks I had the courage to try speaking with the Italian speakers who want to learn English and I find my Italian improving with the help of the native speakers. I attend twice a week and it has been a really good social activity during Lockdown. The sessions are well organised and the hosting has improved as the organisers develop this exchange.
