r. q.This place is an absolute diamond. In a town where music has taken a back seat in recent years, Ailbhe (the owner) has made it her business to render this issue. Situated above the busiest bar in Greystones - (The Beach House & Dann's bar),The Hot Spot plays home to a heartwarming stage that any musician would give their metaphorical left arm to play.
As soon as you enter through a 1950's looking awning you are greeted by an old, rustic, out of tune upright piano, giving you the sense that you have just taken a step back in time and arrived into the 1950s New York jazz club scene. This then paves the path of pure musical bliss.
Ailbhe tends to have the best of the best play who happen to be passing through town so I would highly recommend you to do yourself the biggest favour and get yourself up that stairway to heaven and check the place out. My prediction... it Will be on par with @Whelans @spiritstore etc. Unfortunately live music in Greystones is limited but it is this place that keeps the dream and spirit alive. Keep up the amazing work!!!
