I heard of the HiFi Hospital through a friend. I've a beautiful old Pioneer Hifi (attic 10 years) 6 stack system, have it since '89.The Twin CD player & Turn table weren't working.. Brought it up to Daniel in Kells. He completely reconditioned Twin table, twin cassette desk, fixed the remote Volume Dial on the Amp, & fixed the Twin CD player, cleaned the Remote "after I'd left leaky batteries in it".. In Daniel.. I instantly knew, my Hifi was in expert hands. Always obliging, regular updates on how things were going.. After sales service, Superb.. Amazing repair done on my Marantz SR-6006 , very profession and intelligent staff . I had very little hope of my amp to be ever fixed but these guys got it done and the result is unbelievable . It performs as new , the front left channel was fixed by highest standards . I got very good tips from Daniel on how to treat the amp so it lasts for many years to come (and yes I was doing things wrong before that lead to 1 of the channels to stop working) . It was a pleasure to talk with someone who knows so much about amp's and is passionate about music and sound quality . I would highly recommend Hi-Fi Hospital to anyone who has need for a repair of their sound equipment .

The team at HiFi Hospital did an absolutely fantastic job on an old amp and turntable that had been in my attic since probably the early 1980s. Daniel was really responsive, enthusiastic, and generous with his expertise - he even advised me on the best speakers to complement the system, and held my hand throughout the repairs process. Despite the challenges of lockdown, they were efficient, helpful, good value, and the repairs were to the highest possible standard. I couldn't recommend the HiFi Hospital enough - any time I need any repairs on any kit in the future, they'll be my first call.

Cannot recommend The Hifi Hospital's service enough. Professional and knowledgeable, and they love what they do - and that's what makes the difference here. I had inherited a 1960s Tellux Solid State record player which had no maintenance or TLC for YEARS, and thanks to Daniel (and his patient cleaning, greasing, refitting, stripping, tightening, and most importantly, helpful advice) it will live to see another 60 years. Fantastic service. Daniel is an absolute genius and has an amazing and comprehensive knowledge of systems. He completely refurbished a 30 year old hifi system a couple years ago. I had an old 1983 Rega Planar 2 turntable in my attic for about 20 years that was in poor condition and kept promising to get it repaired. My family surprised me for Xmas by getting it repaired by Daniel in the Hi-Fi Hospital. He did a fantastic job and his after Sales Service was top-notch. He was very patient explaining how to balance the arm correctly. He even sent me a very easy to follow video. I ran in to an issue with the stylus which he also helped me to solve. In short, I would recommend the Hi-Fi Hospital to anyone. It is unusual to get such great customer service these days. He is also very good at explaining the system to those like me that are not experts. I am looking forward to the weekend and to listening to all of my old albums.

The Hi Fi Hospital in Kells is a little gem of a centre for the very best in advice or servicing of anything Hi fi related. Daniel is a wizard at his craft and his enthusiasm at achiving the best sound possible is infectious. Along with Joanne they make the complex simple. Highly recommended.

I wasn't sure if my Grundig 1957 cabinet radio could be repaired so I was delighted when Daniel took it in for assessment. In no time he identified the parts that needed replacement. He went to great lengths to source these from the US and had it repaired within a very short time frame. It sounds absolutely wonderful again. It is obvious he has a great passion for his work and enjoys explaining the technical elements which are so interesting. Joanne was very professional and kept in touch at regular intervals. If you’re precious about your Hi-Fi and want to leave it in good hands then you need to choose The Hi-Fi hospital in Kells . We dealt with Joanne on the phone who is so helpful and absolutely lovely and Daniel who is an absolute hi-fi enthusiast and an excellent technician And a Gentleman. This is not just a business for Daniel it’s also a passion. We left our Puccini integrated amplifier with him for the first time many years ago and he repaired it, it was working perfectly. Over the years with getting work done in the home and moving it around and while decorating we damaged it and blew something in it. So we were delighted Daniel was still in business so we took A drive out to Kells from Dublin and left our amplifier in safe hands. There was also a broken knob which Daniel worked tirelessly and put hours into sourcing the correct part and getting it back functioning again. He sent us a recording of it working and sounding magnificently and we were so excited to go and pick our Puccini up from the “hospital”. Unfortunately when we got it home, WE wired it up incorrectly and blew the component again that very day. Daniel asked us to bring it back despite being so close to Xmas and he was up to his eyes. He looked after us and went above and beyond and showed great patience with us. He also taught us the value of taking care of our amp and appreciating it for the beautiful amp it is. That was Dec 2018, we should have posted this review back then. Although the advantage of procrastinating is that we can confirm our amp is still sounding magnificent and we appreciate it more and use it every day.

I cannot recommend the HIFI hospital enough, for the fantastic friendly fast and efficient service they provided for me. I had an accident with my Vintage Mitsubishi turntable which I thought was a write off, and Daniel the engineer done an Excellent job in repairing it for me, and now it sounds as good as new, Awesome. I went to The Hifi Hospital hoping to revive my well worn Cyrus One first generation amplifier which has served me well for 30 plus years. Incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, I knew it was in good hands. The amp was repaired quickly and, in spite of a hiccup caused by a faulty connection at my end of things and a rapid and gratis resolution, sits in pride of place, sounding as good as it ever has. I must fully recommend the hi fi hospital as they completely refurbished my 35 year old Bose speakers and receiver, they organised a free collection from my Dublin home. Daniel was a pleasure to listen to with his advice on resetting up the system, their after service was excellent as their response to calls and emails in order to get the best sound. I have a Mark Levinson Amp which broke down recently. I decided to send it to the importers in The Netherlands for repair and service,it came back in the same condition as it went { not working}. A friend of mine suggested that i get in touch with the Hi-Fi Hospital so i rang them and they sounded very confident on the phone,so up i went to Kells. They called me back after a few days and they explained the faults, so i told them to carry on with the repairs, they called me a few days later and said that my Amp was now repaired and i didn't even have to go back up to Kells as Daniel met me half way{ i live in Wexford}. I have been using my Amp every day since,it sounds great and i could not be happier. I have since brought a couple of other items for repair and all came back working perfect. A great service to have on your doorstep,i could not recommend Daniel and his team enough.{ costly mistake sending it to The Netherlands AND NO REFUND FOR A BOTCHED JOB} The grass is not always greener on the other side. Chose not to avail of free pick up and delivery as I live in Kerry and was in Dublin for mams 97th birthday so dropped off in Kells and picked up on return. My experience with this company has been great. Daniel’s knowledge and clarity of information was exactly the assurance I needed given the distance I am from Kells. He emailed the following day with the cost which I agreed and went ahead with. Joanne was a breath of fresh air clear directions and a smiling face opening the door on my arrival, then a call to give me a collection time. Back in Kerry the unit works perfectly thanks. Hello Hi-fi buffs. I have had some repairs done to some of my stereo gear in the last couple of weeks at Hi-Fi Hospital in Kells. It's refreshing to find a place where you realise quite soon that the fixer knows what he's talking about. Daniel is very knowledgeable, and , willing to share his knowledge with you. The latest fix involved 3-D printing a part of a CD drawer opening mechanism which was out of production, pretty impressive , and it worked a treat. I can thoroughly recommend Hi-Fi Hospital. I've had two vintage early 80's amplifiers repaired with the Hifi hospital in Kells and have found both Joanne and Daniel very professional and helpful when it came to explaining what work was required and done... I've even had Daniel talk me out of some upgrades for other equipment I own as in his opinion the outcome of the upgrades would be purely visual and wouldn't enhance the audio quality, essentially you get what you pay for... Plenty of people will take a piece of audio equipment in to have a look but you'll find Daniel will be fairly well versed on what he is looking at... I found that they will strive to fix something even if its a very annoying intermittent problem and that's why I would highly recommend their service...

Just received back my 23yr old cassette deck. Had a major problem with bias circuitry amongst other things. Made a test recording, everything like new. Engineer I spoke really knew his stuff,diagnosed fault over the phone.
