J. O.Great location at the Glenroe Heights hotel for that special occasion. From the removable Christmas trees to the secret whiskey bar in the parking area, the facilities at the hotel are second to none. The staff also do a great job, responding to any cleaning needs as quickly as possible, especially in the lobby area.

Breakfast in the morning up stairs restaurant, again beautiful views, helpful staff and a well served breakfast.

R. E.Overall great hotel with lovely views. Staff was really friendly and professional. But in cleanliness the room was not hoovered the bathroom was not clean. I was reminded repeatedly that someone was in the room before. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, room service was unavailable and so this was a better reason to clean the room really well before anyone else comes in. We had breakfast there and it was lovely. The waiters and staff were very helpful and just brilliant. The food was tasty as well. I really enjoyed my stay.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views, room was basic but clean and comfortable, staff at reception were an absolute pleasure (offered to pop medical supplies into the fridges for us if needed/ordering taxis/general chit chat) and staff in the restaurant were lovely too, couldn't do more for us. We won't hesitate to book again.

v. O.Stayed here for 3 nights recently. Lovely family run 3 star hotel but feels much more like a good 4 star hotel, mainly because if the staff, who were all fantastic. Soooo efficient, helpful and friendly. Food was really good...would highly recommend the slow braised shoulder if lamb...it just melts in your mouth! Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and again have to mention the serving staff who were super.
The views from the patios at the front of the hotel are amazing. It is an ideal location for touring the Dingle peninsula and the ring of Kerry.
I will be back and would recommend this hotel and expect much higher standards than 3 star.
J. M.Brilliant views if your room is at the front of the hotel, but rather pokey if you are at the back. Our double bed plus single bed room had a really nice view out the front, our daughter's her partner's and their two daughter's room was out the back and had a double and one single bed and a 'slatted' single bed and had very little daylight. The staff however were very helpful and the food was good, the full Irish breakfast was massive and would keep me full for most of the day, even the scrambled eggs on toast contained about 4 or 5 eggs and there were lots of breakfast options!!!
The dinner was equally substantial, and well cooked.

J. N.Had a really lovely stay at this hotel. We came for our 10yr wedding anniversary. There was initially an issue with the booking I made through the website but working with the manager Michelle, were fixed it and even upgraded our room and tried to do a few things to make it special. She even offered us the offer from the pigs back deal they had going directly without needing to purchase it. The reception stay were super nice and friendly. They were so welcoming and it gave a great first impression.
Our upgraded room was number 25, which they said was one of the bridal suites. It was pretty spacious room and the bathroom was big. The TV was pretty small and the reception of channels was pretty spotty and the bed was maybe a little hard for us. We still slept fine though and didn't wake up sore.
We had dinner in the restaurant and both got the 10oz Ribeye which we though was very tasty. The wait staff were also very friendly and attentive. They also had a number of little booths so that you had both privacy and felt more protected with covid. This was our first time eating inside since the pandemic started. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty also. We were stuffed. It was in the upstairs restaurant so had an amazing view over the valley. Would come back here again.

D.I would only advise staying for a day or two as there is no service and little to do near by but nice view and comfy beds. The breakfast is not very good though really greasy. Would probably go hike in the near by mountains and head to dingle and inch beach.
M. C.Nice enough hotel, all the staff were consistently brillant. Great views out to the front. No iron in the rooms, got one sent up but theres no ironing board. Food wasn't great in the bar our first night, the fish and chips were only edible due to a lot of beer being taken on board. My wife sent hers back mostly uneaten.
We were there for a wedding and the first two courses in the wedding meal were lovely but the main course was very poorly done. Chunky roast veg was undercooked and mashed potato looked grey and greasy. A decent place to stay with clean rooms etc but don't expect too much from the food.

P. B.Just home from a three night stay at Ballyroe Heights Hotel. We booked in with Geraldine over the phone and she couldn't have been nicer. It was our first time staying there and we'd love to return. We had fantastic views of mountains and Tralee from our room. The grounds were impeccably maintained. The staff were friendly and professional. We're both vegan and had the vegetable pad thai in the restaurant which was delicious. Thanks all at Ballyroe 👏👏👏
K. K.Stayed here on a 3 night package in August 2021. It was overall very good value for money. The hotel is in a quiet location 4km outside of Tralee Town, the grounds have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Our room was basic and could do with updating of the decor but it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. We ate dinner in the restaurant each night as food was delicious and lots of options for me (being a Celiac). Breakfast was served upstairs in a room with panoramic views of the mountains (if the weather is sunny you can even have breakfast on the balcony). All the staff we dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly an absolute credit to the hotel. The Covid-19 protections were all in place as per current guidelines along with hand sanitisers all over the hotel. The only negative I have applies to Kerry in general not just the hotel and that is pricing of food and drink is a little on the high side but the hotel make up for this in portion size and sheer deliciousness!!

Without a doubt the standout part of the stay was the staff, the staff were the best in any hotel i ever stayed in. Joey upstairs in the summit room is just the nicest man one could hope to meet .He made sure to give us a table with a nice view.
Chatted to us about the mountains and kerry and made us laugh and feel comfortable.

Then there was Anne from the breakfast section who was just the loveliest woman you could have serve you.
She went above and beyond to make sure my son had what he wanted aswell and getting off the menu items and extras for us as we had an awkward order.she kept returning to the table to ensure we were ok and happy and even had a little chat with us
The staff at this hotel are great ambassadors to what proper irish hospitality is and I hope all the tourists that visit here really get this vibe as I did.
An absolute cracker of a spot, I will 100% be returning to this hotel when i visit kerry on fishing trips and day trips

b. f.I enjoyed visiting the hotel but on inspection, our room was not up to the standard that you would have been used to. Our bed was made perfect but the lovely views were hidden because of a large tree outside the veranda. The second night I came back to my room and found wood lice crawling on the floor. Now I'm very particular about hygiene and I would definitely not have left any doors opened for them to come in , the were even in the bathroom. Now this is not only the problem of the hotel itself, it the guests leave the veranda doors open all night so it something for the hotel to address. The staff were really nice and welcoming us , so that cancelled out any other little bit that cropped up. The shower was very poor flow of water even to say I hardly got to wash myself in. All said please show the balcony of the bedroom, especially while putting them up on your website and make sure that you have a menu for people who don't eat red meat but not a vegetarian.

J. H.The room itself was good , and in fact exceeded what we expected, lovely. Bathroom could do with a bit of TLC but functional and nice.
We decided to go for dinner in the restaurant as there is nothing much near by and we had been driving all day. This was disappointing, the vegetables for instance were what I can only describe as boiled mush with butter. Everything else was OK, but I'd expect far better.
The bar was understocked and didn't have the liquor it said on the menu.
All that said the staff were very understanding, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was far better than dinner and was very tasty. Though I'd mention they seemed to not bring out any of the pastries, bread, nice fruit etc until the tours had left which meant although we weren't part of a tour we didn't get any pastries. That said, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to get my daughter some dairy free milk.
Overall it was good and the staff were friendly, but I'd expect a little better quality for the price.

Was few kids messing about but other than that I'm satisfied with my stay.

Lots of comfy couches and really lovely lounges to relax and admire the beautiful views of the local countryside. The dining area is well laid out, overlooking the lovely views.
Food here is of a very high standard with lots of choice for breakfast and other meals. Breakfast is cooked to order

Gluten free breakfast is pretty much egg and GF toast, very much lacking in this department in comparison to even the most basic of other hotels. In their favour though, they did have gluten free peroni which was a major plus.

A. L.Lovely staff and in a very scenic location. However, the last few times we ate here we found the food rather lacking. The portion sizes have been reduced and not in a good way. Ballyroe was always renowned for its high quality food. We had our wedding here back in 2012, had a fantastic day there and everyone still talks about the fabulous meal there. However, lately the food has been disappointing. We will give it a try again because it is a nice place with very friendly staff but let's hope they get a new chef.

G. R.Went to a wedding, expected the usual service you get with every wedding. Easily the best food and staff of any large event I've been to. A very in unassuming place to arrive to but they put on a great show, couldn't fault them. Don't know what it's like to stay there, just there for the evening.
M. B.The accommodations were middle of the road. The shower was impossible between terrible pressure and difficulty with getting any hot water. On the upside the location was wonderful. The staff were delightful, professional, and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant was also very good.
H.Went there for lunch and it was fabulous, I often go there and love it. It also has the most amazing views of Tralee and Blennerville windmill. The facilities toilet facilities are a very clean and very classy. There are two huge car parks. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There's not one bad thing I can say about this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone for lunch, dinner or to stay a night or two.

We stayed here for a Wedding and everything from the arrival to the food to the comfort of the beds etc was fantastic.I have stayed in a lot of Hotels in my life and I have attended many weddings,but this has to be the best experience when it comes to value for money that I personally have experienced.
Would strongly recommend to all looking for a Hotel in Tralee and I hope to stay here the next time I visit Tralee.

a. r. g. m.Brought my dad to Kerry for the first time last week from Offaly ,He’s 68 and obviously we are all very unsure and worried with Covid but our stay was fantastic from the minute we checked in,the lady spoke clear and very polite as to the hotels policy’s and that put dads mind, and mine at ease straight away and we had no worries after that.Food was excellent,staff very friendly and atmosphere was excellent although it was very different times to what we are all use to.Top class hotel and will be back again this year.

B. S.We had a wonderful stay here over the bank holiday weekend. The family room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had stunning views over Tralee Bay and the Slieve Mish mountains. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, so much so we quickly made up our minds to stay an extra night.
The food was good and very reasonably priced. The deal we had included breakfast and an evening meal so it made it a very affordable weekend. Would definately recommend and go back again.

A. P.Stayed for one night, we asked if there is anything that could be done with the bathroom fan. They assured us they will switch it off and they didn't. Breakfast was ok, full Irish as you can get anywhere. Dinner in the restaurant was just amazing! Corridor didn't give us nice impression while walking to our room for the first time...a lot of cobwebs... however the room and bathroom were really clean! We would go back

J. H.This hotel is located about 4 miles outside Tralee. It situated in Ballyroe and looks over the majestic Tralee Bay. I was here for a meal in the bar area. The food was lovely and I couldn't fault it. A reasonable price also. The only thing that docks a mark for me was the service. Staff were kinda disinterested and seemed unfriendly. Probably because it was a busy time but a small bit of conversation is always a nice way to set the mood of a place. Overall great food and at a good price!

The has no air conditioning no heat no fan. You stuck in a dead air room. Wasn't to impressed with breakfast either. Weak choices on the buffet. Almost better to skip it. All that same it is good for value. We were only in the room for a few hours on top of sleeping.

Mangels technischer Nachrüstung seitens des Hauses waren kein Internet-WLAN-Empfang im Zimmer, im Foyer nur immer wieder zusammenbrechende Verbindungen gegeben.
Die aufgrund der verschiedenen Gebäudetrakte vorhandenen langen Hausflure sind mit allerlei Dekor-Artikel sowie Sitzgruppen gefüllt; dabei sollte die Polsterung von etlichen Sesseln und Mehrsitzern erneuert werden - ein Sitzkomfort ist derzeit nicht gegeben.
Der Restaurantbetrieb ist straff organisiert; jedoch sehr kostenorientiert ausgerichtet.
Das (Tafel)Wasser ist aus dem Wasserhahn in Zimmer wohlschmeckender als das, das in einer Karaffe im Restaurant zum Abendessen gereicht wird. Selbst ergänzend erbetene Zitronenscheiben haben den Chlorgeschmack nicht überlagern können.
Beim Frühstück konnte nur zwischen der irischen Variante und einer mit 2 Scheiben Käse plus einer Schinken-Scheibe gewählt werden (ohne Ei). Erst nach einer Beschwerde aus der Runde der Reisegruppe erfolgte eine Anpassung in Form (plus gekochtem Hühnerei).
