The Feast of Cavan Folk has been a series of magical evenings in Ballyconnell. The super team facilitated food, crafts, theatre and music, that was refreshing and brilliantly entertaining. Fingers crossed that more of these gatherings can happen in the future.

What a fabulous market, and what a great way to meet fellow local artists, makers, bakers, and more! This market has helped me reach local customers that would otherwise be impossible as an online business. I had a really excellent weekend which has set my small shop up nicely for the end of the year and I will definitely be back when the market is here again! Well done to all who organized.

Had such a great weekend at this market. The atmosphere was just lovely with the live music, kids activities and the quality of stalls! I had a stall at The Cottage Christmas Market in the The Conaty Centre Cavan. This was my first time at such an event. The overall experience was brilliant. The interaction with customers was very positive and also very encouraging. Imelda, Tirlock and everyone else involved in the setting up and running if the event were very professional and obliging.

It was the first time the Syrian refugee ladies were able to sell their Baklava and Maamoul desserts in a Christmas Market, so this was a really great opportunity for them to integrate in the community, It was Imelda Mullen of Cottage Market and Mary McCabe of Social Enterprise along with Zeinab El Mustafa who had this brilliant idea of training the ladies and letting them cook and sell their products. The Syrians are very delighted and are very grateful to be one of the Market vendors because not only were they able to sell all their traditional dishes and letting people appreciate their culture but they also interacted with the Irish, practiced their English, and earned some money.

Pre-ordered some beef tacos at a local event by a lake. Day was class but only made better by the delish food! Perfectly slow cooked and tender, picked carrots were a class addition and worked really well. Would eat again!

We attended Dineyard by the Cottage Market Cavan on Sunday April 10th. It was a wonderful first event for our veggie, vegan and gluten free food trailer 'Into the Wild' to be a part of. Imelda and Co have created something very special in Cavan where food producers, growers and customers can get together in a lovely relaxed, family friendly atmosphere with lots of interesting things going on. A really great day out. Looking forward to the next event already 😍
