T. C.Only stayed for one night but very Happy. Beds nice. Shower flooded as drain didn't drain well. Great food/coffees. Lovely grounds. Staff VERY HELPFUL!!!! Can't wait to go back to use spa and take long walks.
R. B.Great place to stay. Rooms were very clean, big and bright with a door out to the patio area. Evening meal was excellent and healthy choices for breakfast or a good fry up. We did prebook an hours treatment but got a call 4 hours beforehand to cancel same as a staff member couldn't make it in because of the weather, but they managed to let us have a half hour treatment. Pool was very cold so couldn't use it the first day but it was sorted the next day after a few complaints. Overall the experience was lovely and I would highly recommend same.

The staff are amazing, especially John our waiter in Maxwells Restaurant! He looked after us so well and couldn't do enough for us! He really made us feel welcome! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The only faults I could find (and this is nitpicking) there was a small tea/coffee stain on the carpet in our room, the tv could do with an upgrade, the bathroom door lock stuck a little and our key card was a little finicky in the door, it's still a 5/5 from me. We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back!

M. O. B.Great setting with amazing forest trails. Great food, and staff couldnt do much more. I thought food was a little pricey. Cellar bar did not open til 6pm. There was a bar/grill in the reception area open most of the day but could be chilly due to its proximity to the reception door which was very busy. The main restaurant was very nice, as I said food was very good. Service could be quite slow at times. They have only 1 EV point which was constantly engaged. Over a 48 hour period I could not get into it. Time to get another 1 or 2 points considering the times and the changes coming. Would still stay again.
T.Enjoyed the stay here, nice room, spa, ambience. The bar staff and waiting staff are polite but generally seem to lack supervision so be prepared to wait a bit longer or have to ask for things that would be basic/obvious in other hotels. It didn't put me off though and hope to return soon.

j. j.Room very comfortable. The reason I gave it a 3 is the parking. It was raining very heavily when we arrived and the parking is to far from main building. They do have a courtesy bus but you have to go looking for one. Staff very helpful.

I would advise to go only to the boat house and back we did the full 7 km, and I would advise the hotel to break the long walk by some kind of fun games or activities, as there is no much to see.

D. B.We stayed over my 30th birthday and the hotel made it very special. We done the afternoon tea- which tasted amazing and then they brought out two free glasses of prosecco. The rooms are good sized and the bed comfy. The hotel itself is stunning and well worth the price. The spa has everything you could want including an outdoor infinity pool which was strange in Ireland!
That night we got food in maxwells and we were stuffed. They also brought over two glasses of prosecco for free for my birthday . My partner was as shocked as I was as she had said it when she booked it but didn't think they would make such an effort. Makes the difference though.
J. S.Such a beautiful place for a wedding. I attended a wedding and the place was beautiful. The staff were really helpful and everyone involved had a fantastic time. The next day we had some really nice food in the bar and had a lodge booked which was great for the wedding party to be together the next evening.
I would highly recommend this place. Unfortunately the spa was booked out due to volume of events.
The swimming pool is amazing and I would definitely check me back for a nice relaxing Spa weekend
N. W.We had a wonderful stay at Farnham Estate. We booked 2 nights as our honeymoon was cancelled due to the pandemic. The staff were wonderful and attentive! We were upgraded for our honeymoon and prosecco was brought to our room to celebrate.

However was left disappointed by our room we spoiled ourselfs with....the cleanliness wasnt the best as we found yourself's finding decoration hearts and potatoe chips on the floor.....not ideal at this time with virus and quite confusing as staff are giving longer time to clean as we cant check in until 4pm now. One of my favourite places too.

A. C.This hotel is fab. The hotel staff were so friendly and go over and beyond to ensure your stay is everything you would expect a hotel of the calibre to be. The pool area was very busy being a bank holiday weekend. Once we went back down later in the evening the pool area was like a different place much more relaxing. The dinner was gorgeous as was the breakfast. There was so much choice food wise. We both had treatments in the spa and this was heaven def a favourite part of the trip. The only downside to our visit was our room being on the ground floor. Everyone had to pass it on the way back to their room and unfortunately none of them were very considerate of the guests in the rooms they passed. Next visit we will definitely know to request a quieter room.

S. B.Absolutely loved our stay here yesterday. We stayed one night in a 2nd floor room with a great view over the spa and surrounding countryside. The spa itself has everything to spend a few hours relaxing and we were lucky enough with the good weather to use the outdoor swimming pool too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the dinner and breakfast were both delicious with great service. There is nothing I can fault about this place, can't wait to come back

Fish selection for the fish eaters. As for the meat roasts they went down really well. Staff all very friendly and efficient. Very helpful with gluten options for dessert. We love coming here when any of our family home
K. C.Lovely hotel. Check in is not before 15.30 which can be a nuisance if you need to freshen up before an event. The spa and pool facilities are excellent. Outdoor tub also available
Car park is too far away from hotel and shuttle bus is operation which is an inconvenience if you have small children buggies ect... it is about a 7 min walk. Wheelchair parking available outside the main door though.
Rooms are lovely,the beds are a tad too soft for my liking however that's just a personal choice. Bars are nice and food is good. Gluten free options available not sure about vegan. All in all I would recommend farnham estate.
J. J. M.Enjoyable two night stay. Used the spa and pool while there. Food in the Cellar was good but not so much in the Maxwell grill where my sea bass was very overcooked. Comfortable rooms and most of the staff were smiling and welcoming. Nice grounds for walks.
D. B.Stayed here on a golf weekend with friends. The staff were lovely from reception to the bar and restaurant. The facilities were superb. Lovely Health Spa and Pool. Played golf on Saturday the course was lovely but heavy rainfall meant the fairways were very wet and soft in places. I'll be back.

d. k.Just arrived home from overnight stay at this hotel. Break included a round of golf on the hotel owned golf course. Hotel was super. We were upgraded on arrival to a 4 bedroom resort house due to the hotel overbooking the rooms. A complementary meal was also thrown in. Hotel was modern, yet had loads of character from the tasteful integration of the new build part alongside the original Farnham estate mansion house. The spa was excellent with indoor outdoor heated pool and several saunas and steam rooms. Accomodation was clean, modern, with the 4 bedroom resort houses being substantial in size and a well equipped home from home. We had steaks in the Maxwell restaurant and I have to admit 1 of the nicest steaks I have had to date. The restaurant was spacious, again tastefully decorated and service was effective and efficient with all staff, attentive and pleasant. Overall a great hotel for just chilling with loads of walks in the grounds, a round of golf or just chilling in the spa.

C.Came here for afternoon tea with my family, thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive, ny aunt had broken her ankle so she was in a cast and the staff were very helpful in getting her cushions to red her leg on.
The tea room was so cute, the food was delicious, the curry egg salad sandwiches were very nice, and the green tea I ordered was so nice. We were very happy with our Afternoon Tea, woulf really recommend.

Only had food in the bar restaurant and was gorgeous. But the cherry on the cake is the spa, heated indoor and outdoor pool, yes I said heated to a beautiful temp. Thermal suite is out of this world..best value for money, for an amazing weekend, so far for us. 😀

The room was spacious, with great amenities. There are 3 restaurants to choose from depending on your mood and budget.
Make sure you visit the old manor house, entrance is juste across from the reception desks.
The spa is an out of this world experience : huge heated pool, going from inside to the outside, with integrated jacuzzi beds. There are 3 stream rooms (classic/salted/scented), 1 sauna, foot spas, showers with different options.
It can be busy at times depending on the day
We were lucky to be there on a clear day and enjoy the sight of stars while swimming on the outdoor heated pool, felt like we in another country for a while 😎😁

Spa and leisure centre facilities are amazing, clean, comfortable and well staffed.
Hotel rooms are very luxurious and comfortable with all amenities you would expect.
The greatest flaw unfortunately was the food.
We ate in Maxwell's grill, a nice setting to be fair but the food was at best average.
Chicken wings for starters were most definitely pre cooked and the rib eye steak was tough and chewy. The menu was very limited selection wise so you would assume cook to order was possible, I think not.
Great place to visit, lower your expectations for the food.
R.Booked this for my wife for a birthday present and I'm delighted i did. A few friends in work recommended it. And I have to do the same. This place is amazing. Although we didnt get to do all the nature trails, the short one we did was beautiful. If you're not into the nature walks then there's plenty of seating inside to relax and unwind. Also the pool and facilities are amazing. Salt rooms, steam rooms and saunas and they're all part of the stay at no extra cost. So many options. Theres also massages available but didn't go for them. The king patio room was so nice. Although sadly cause of the weather we didn't get to use the patio but if you're lucky enough to get the little bit of sunshine Ireland does give then use it and relax right outside your door. The shower in the room is lovely aswell. The bed is huge. Got such a good nights sleep. I'll be returning without a doubt. I'd highly recommend you check it out for yourself.

However this time I noticed black mould in the shower in my room and also in areas of the spa. Not good when you're going away to look after yourself.
The wine goose cellar never fails to disappoint me in terms of service and choice. But despite these things I'd go back again. If you're vegan you'll want to tell them before you go. They had no soya milk at breakfast on the first day of my stay and the menu options are very limited for plant based.

The room, a double, a little on the small side compared to what we would usually have on our visits to Druids Glenn. Noticable was the fact that high level dusting needed a addressed.
Dinner
Food was exceptionally good, no complaints at all. The only hiccup being the waitress removed my wife's plate while I was still eating and then attempted to take mine. Has etticate changed? Or is it just me. It's an absolute no no, take remove any plate until everyone has finished.
Lobby
For a hotel with over 100 rooms, seating in the lobby is limited.

Ps flip flops men have larger feet, the slipper type flip flop did not fit nor did they come close.

J. C.Staff are lovely, did a chocolate covered strawberries plate for my boyfriend's birthday and even upgraded the room which was a lovely surprise! Food is always unreal on the Maxwell room and the wine cellar does fab cocktails. Second year here and would be back in a heart beat. One of our favourite spa locations in Ireland. Beautiful walking trails and just outside Cavan town.

P. M.Love Farnham. Rooms are spacious & beds are some of the most comfortable we've ever stayed in. The gym is decent for a quick session. Has treadmills, cross trainers, a bench, free weights and a versitile cable machine. Spa is fantastic & one of the main reasons we stay. The room service menu is quite limited. The biggest drawback is the lack of food in the downstairs bar midweek. They have moved the barfood to Maxwell's restaurant, (the breakfast area) which is fine, but lacking in atmosphere in comparison to the intimate Goose cellar bar. We stay here frequently & that's the only thing we would change.

Gary and colm made the day run smoothly with no hiccups at all and had everything organised in the reception exactly as we had envisaged. We really couldn't ask for better but to be fair every staff member were amazing. Fantastic work by all and couldn't thank them enough.

S.This place is ideal for any age...from hens parties , groups of mums or couples it can be enjoyed by all...our group took a package deal which included lunch...the choice on menu wasnt too bad and the food was lovely but recommend giving yourself plenty of time to eat if you have treatments booked later as service is chronically slow...40 minutes from time of order to actually getting the food !!!....the treatments were amazing and the staff very professional....lots of water available throughout with various fresh fruit flavourings...swimming pool is warm like a bath and leads to outdoor infinity pool with submerged seats and jets available at the push of a button...sauna, foot spas, ice plunge to name a few of the facilities available to you...robes towels and slippers supplied...a day of total pampering In beautiful surroundings...highly recommend a visit

Beautiful place to stay , amazing drive up to it from the road , very easy to get to from Cavan town , the use of the old original estate house and the more modern hotel is perfect , the staff are top class and very friendly , a special thank you to Tristen who waited on us for dinner , a credit to your establishment , very professional , friendly guy , the food was exquisite , my wife had steak and I had salmon , followed by beautiful desserts , breakfast was perfect and while I availed of the well equipped gym my wife used the pool and other facilities around the excellent spa area , she had nothing but praise for it all , our room was perfect with beautiful views of the rolling hills of Meadows and woods , thank you all so much for marking our wedding anniversary too , my wife lived it so much she's off back up there for a tea with her mother , thank you all again
