Reviews of Slievenamon Golf Club and The Sand Trap Coffee House
Can I just say besides the food being absolutely gorgeous. The staff I can't say enough about. Just made you feel like you were at home with family. Will recommend slievenamon to all my family and friends.
Played here today after a layoff of over 10 months due mainly to covid-19. The course has improved immensely over the period with new paths, new tee boxes, new bunkers placed in strategic positions which make for great golf. All the drains have been cleaned out and at present you must drop out of them under penalty but shortly the water pipes in the drains will be covered. So good luck to those golfers who venture into the drains!! Congratulations go to Paul Kenny and his green keeping staff on doing a great job on the course. Well worth a visit, but at present you must be a member to play, but those restrictions will be lifted at some point in the future, so make sure to book your game in advance. It will be busy.
This golf course left me speechless the greens as well as the whole golf course were amazing. The past few days were filled with rain and wind and even with the terrible weather the course was outstanding from scenery to the people running the golf course. Some features that you would have never seen before were on this were course. The staff were amazing and there were non problematic. Even the rough and fairway were kept in amazing condition as well as the greens. I will most definitely come back here next time I am in the area!!!!!
Short but tricky course. Really enjoyed my first round there. Will definitely be back
This is a brilliant club. Short by the standard of most clubs, but you have to be very accurate with you tee shots. Wayward and trees come into play. They have improved the course recently by doing major work, this has increased the par to 70. Two new finishing holes at 17 and 18 will, if not played properly, destroy the best of cards. 17 is now a par 4, fairway bunker just in front of cross drain which in turn is short of pot bunker to left of green. Accuracy will be the order of the day. 18 has reduced in length, but don't let that fool you. The green is surrounded by a massive horseshoe bunker. End up in this and we may never see you again! The staff here are always very obliging and will go out of their way to help in any way possible. And to top it all, the famed mountain, Slievenamon, is the backdrop to the whole course. Worth a visit.
A really great round of golf and the staff in the were really nice and professional .i am a new member and today was my first time to play the course .simply fantastic
Course in very good condition under the circumstances. Greens excellent. Restaurant not open yet.
