g. g.The bed was large and comfy, good shower, set in nice grounds and the reception staff were really lovely. Dropping stars as the air conditioning was disabled (room was way too hot) and the hot breakfast was terrible (the other items from the buffet looked fine).

N. -.Very nice and spacious rooms, tea & coffee+kettle in room which is good. Iron, hairdryer, ironing board, TV, with usb (in case you forgot charger) pleasant helpful staff throughout, great walks around the grounds, parking for even the largest vehicles. Breakfast, buffet type is comprehensive and great selection. Do not disturb, and continental room service for added privacy. Yep, I would recommend and return here again.
E. J.Lovely well kept hotel. Very clean and staff where very pleasant. The room was very hot and the air conditioning didn't work so we had to open a window. There was a wedding on so was very nosy. The room was still too hot even with the window open. Only downfall of this lovely hotel.

Food was amazing, atmosphere was romantic and fun, rooms were spacious and unique and the staff were perfect! Orla helped us plan our big day and helped me feel stress free the entire time. The rest of the staff were very professional and made us feel like royalty. I highly recommend this venue!
C. C.Stayed here with the family for a few days - had a great time. The accommodation was roomy - could have done with a lick of paint, but other than this - spot on. The food in the restaurant was excellent! We ate out a few nights and tried it as the stay went on - if we knew it was as good..we would have eaten there much more. There is a kids playground - but it is a bit tired. Not a lot to do in the hotel itself...but it does have some nice grounds for a walk, Golf - if anyone is into this...we used it as a base to explore the surrounding area. Was a good value stay.
J. O.Very nice hotel, but restaurants are mostly open only towards the weekend. While it seems isolated, you need to keep your window shut if you are in the even 200s as traffic noise from the nearby motorway is very evident. It is however a fifteen minute drive to access this motorway. Rooms are decent, but A/C is noisy and ineffective. Good value usually though. The bar food is poor, but the restaurant is somewhat better.

Breakfast was good, but you'll find better for 12.50, and the continental selection really wasn't great - I'd imagine at weekends it's better

F.I was in moyvalley for a 1 night getaway.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with great rooms and a really comfy bed. The restaurant bar is nice for a drink.
The negatives would be a poor breakfast and the restaurant food isn't great value.
The problem with my stay though was down to having to move rooms twice as the Aircon in the room was broken and the room was very warm as the lovely big windows make the balcony rooms a sun trap. We arrived at about 4pm and it wasn't until after 10pm when we got our third room with working aircon. We contacted reception 5 times and were given a desk fan and then moved to another room without Aircon. Finally the restaurant manager sorted it out and got is a room with Aircon.
It would have been a 4 or maybe 5 star review if the Aircon issue was sorted quickly. And I would try moyvalley again for a night away as I'm sure their Aircon issues can be sorted.

A. S.We got married here in November 2024 and the entire process was so made so easy by all the staff, particularly Niamh Reilly who was extremely helpful throughout with the planning of the wedding. The big day went so smoothly and all our guests raved about the food and Balyna House as a location.

R. B.I stayed here for a few nights for a business trip. The whole experience from check in to departure was incredible. I ate here for breakfast and dinner in the evening. Breakfast was a bit busier than the evening meal but had a wide choice of food on the buffet and it was all quite tasty. The evening meal was also very good but there service here is what stood out for me. I got served by the same waitress both evenings and she remembered my room number for billing, looked after me when it was needed and left me to enjoy meal.
I was lucky enough to have some nice weather during my stay so decided to go for a walk around the grounds which had some pleasent views in some wooded land and around the golf course.
Overall an incredibly pleasant stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

T. O.Experienced a really lovely afternoon tea here for my niece a couple of weeks ago. Very young staff were so pleasant. They couldn't do enough for us. The food and hospitality was really good. We stayed longer than we should have but no one rushed us or asked us to leave which was so nice as we felt so relaxed. Can't wait to go back to sample the dinner menu as it looked delicious.

Unfortunately there was a strong musty damp smell in the room 209 which must be obvious to every staff member who enters the room to clean it. No mattress protector on one of the beds, just a flat sheet which was very disappointing.

N. S. o. M.What a beautiful setting for a wedding the Chapel, house, hotel and grounds are fantastic . The rooms were lovely and were spotless . I think the staff needs direction when serving the dinner at the wedding some tables were served before the top table never seen this done
before , next day the bar food menu was poor I asked for a sandwich at 5:50 pm only to be told they were finished , with the place secluded they should have a big menu and should be able to order food at any time, I think if they get the food right it would be a top class venue.
Shout out to Aoife who works in the bar she couldn't do enough for you lovely lovely girl.

K. K.We got married here on the 3rd of July. When viewing Moyvalley for our potential wedding venue we fell in love. The grounds, the stone house and most importantly the Balyna house. Its beautiful. We had two amazing wedding coordinators Ciara and Niamh. They have always been very helpful from the start. Answering any questions and giving there own suggestions. Couldnt recommend them enough! On the big day everything felt so relaxed and ran smoothly. We could not praise the staff enough. Everyone was very helpful and attentive throughout the whole day and the day two.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Brendan who was the manger in charge for our two days there. He was extremely helpful, always running around to make sure everything was going to plan. Anything we wanted or needed he made sure we had. He made both days run incredibly well. The amount of things he did without us even knowing. I couldn't find my bouquet the next morning and he without me knowing stored it away for me In the fridge to keep it fresh for me to take home. If you have Brendan on your day you don't need to worry about a thing!
Another thing we loved was that everyone of our guests could stay onsite with us. They have a hotel, cottages and of course the Balyna house. Even with all the accommodation the Balyna house still felt private and hidden away. The grounds at night are beautiful.
We couldn't recommend Moyvalley enough. Our day turned out better then we ever expected. We cannot wait to look back at all our beautiful photos of such a magical day.

For the meal I had a Caesar salad, the orchard pie with mashed potatoes with small vegetables and a caramel and vanilla ice cream oudding with a little green tea. It was perfect.
I.We stayed in the fairly new, modern hotel for 1 night, the rooms and food were pleasant, the staff were very friendly, and the golf course was beautiful to experience as the first players in the morning. Behind the hotel there are apartment buildings for families and in the middle of a beautiful park there is a noble manorhouse with 30 rooms and reception rooms for weddings and other celebrations. There is a small chapel behind the terrace, everything is very stylish.

The toilets are poorly positioned in the bathroom.||The painting also needs to be reviewed.||otherwise in terms of sound insulation, it needs to be reviewed.||The night was rough. There was music in the hallways and noisy guests.
A. M. H.This hotel is very modern with a large entrance hall and stairwell. Beautiful rooms with all amenities and a spacious bed. A great bar/restaurant with friendly staff. Behind the hotel are a number of old outbuildings that are rented out as cottages around an old courtyard. Tip for smokers: behind the bar there is an outdoor terrace where smoking is allowed. This hotel is very remote, close to a golf resort.
l.We had an overnight stay here on the way from Dublin to Galway, to avoid the high prices of hotels in Dublin. This hotel is good value for what you get and has friendly staff. The restaurant is also recommended. Generous breakfast with various standard options and a Full Irish
g. v.To end our Irish journey we ended up, as planned, in the pampas, on a golf course or at least in the immediate vicinity. ||The hotel is a priori located in a rather quiet area with comfortable rooms and we were not disturbed by the noise.||The evening meal was no different from the previous ones, it was say acceptable.||On the other hand we were disappointed by the breakfast, because the previous ones were better. If there were eggs and mango - a surprise - there were no others fruit or cheese or pastries. This is not worthy of an establishment that aims to be of a high standard.||Moreover we wanted to have aperitifs. Whatever the choice made, no one (and there were many of us) was satisfied.The drinks served were tasteless and without any pleasure.It seemed to us that the attendant, a very young girl, absolutely did not know how to make even the simplest cocktail.||Too bad our stay ended so.||I don't recommend the "Moy....etc...resort" (well, it's missing swimming pool,....spa....?.)

S. N.Spacious conference hotel in the countryside with a reasonable price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, there is no public internet terminal and hardly any leisure activities other than a bar and a golf course (until 5 p.m.). Not a single one of 6 bicycles was usable. The written route information was not comprehensible when we arrived from Cork and our telephone question about the geographical coordinates to be entered directly into the navigation system was unfortunately not answered. Reception was not available at around 10 p.m. available/occupied. With the window open you can clearly hear the motorway. In the morning, a tasty Irish breakfast with friendly staff makes up for it.
