Reviews of Nore Valley Park
Wonderful campsite, owners n staff super helpful n friendly, grandson had great time with animals, feeding, petting n tractor rides, daughter n family stayed in one of the new lodges n was delighted with it. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a calm, family holiday.
The surrounding area is beautiful and looks like a nice, quiet area which is also a camping /motorhome park. However, it is not totally wheelchair accessible. Most areas of the park, like to see all of the animals, are not accessible by wheelchair. For children, other than the animals, there is a very small outside play area. It's fine for older children, but dangerous for young children due to a 'drop' at certain parts of the play area. I am a wheelchair user and, although most animals were inaccessible for me to see, I enjoyed the 'petting' area by the picnic area near the shop , and as I said it is a lovely quiet area in beautiful surroundings. My daughter and her children were able to walk around to see the animals and enjoyed most of it. I say most, because as they came upon the goats my grandson saw blood pouring down their faces... this was because they had just been de-horned, while we know this is necessary so they don't harm themselves, it should have been done when the park was closed so as not to upset children. My review may seem negative, but it's not really. If you like animals, camping, caravaning and beautiful, quiet surroundings, you will enjoy a visit here.
Really nice with great staff and friendly animals. Given a packet of feed when you enter so kids can feed the animals. Great value for money with nice walks, playground, loads of animals and plenty to do
Very family friendly. Beautiful scenic location and well maintained site. Highly recommended.
Myself and family had a brilliant long weekend stay, lots todo on site and staff all were helpful and friendly, will definitely be back 😊
Great place , lots of animals to see and facilities are clean and well kept
Lovely experience for little ones. Plenty to see and we’ll laid out. Staff very friendly
The place could do with an upgrade of some housing for the animals (pre pandemic issue) but the animals are still well looked after
We went with a small group of children and chloe couldn't have been a ymore helpful all the staff were lovely even finishing thier lunch early to accommodate us definitely recommend.
Really great place. Our family really enjoyed our trip. Homemade treats were amazing!
Beautiful views, pet farm is lovely the kids enjoyed the animals. Lots of activities. The kids favourite was the hay barn and crazy golf. Facilities were very clean. The only thing is you need lots of spends as some activities are not free and although the shop has coffee and scones it would be better if it also sold croissants and breakfast foods, made up sandwhiches and rolls. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.
Would give 3.5 if I could as think this would be a fairer reflection. Camped here for a few days in our camper van last week. The main shower/toilet block was closed so had to use the shower and toilets near reception which were not heated and water temperature was very low. The sites themselves are level and well maintained. I imagine if we went back in the high season we’d have a much better experience. Farm is great and animals well cared for.
Very nice place, clean ,loads of activities for kids. Staff very friendly. Nice feature - you can buy fresh baked bread in the morning and home made jam mmm. You even can order take away. Dogs allowed. Nice walk by the river, we discovered fairies living in woods near buy :D. Very happy , would definitely come back.
We spent the August bank holiday at Nore Valley for the first time ever camping and it was a great experience and the kids loved it. From the farm animals to the play areas for the kids it was just wonderful. However my main issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom areas. They were very dirty and with such a large volume of people there on this weekend i was very disappointed that there was no thorough cleaning carried out. When i did witness cleaning in the evening the cleaner sprayed some sort of cleaner on the floor and used a dry mob to clean it. This i feel is a big health and safety issue and a deep clean of these areas is a must through out the day to ensure maximum health and safety. Apart from this i really enjoyed the full park and its facilities.
We were in Nore Valley two years ago and had a ball. Our then 9 year old loved it. From bottle feeding lambs to looking at the hens and the lovely riverside walk. It was so peaceful and a real retreat. We have had to cancel this year, due to unforseen circumstances but I would recommend this family run campsite based on what we experienced two years ago.
We spend two nights here, it was first time camping with kids that is why we prefer stay in camp side rather then camping wild.....and we love it! Owner was very kind and helpful. Kids loved so much, playground, feeding animals, staying up until dark :-).
Just back from camping there for two nights, it’s was a great experience. The camp site was clean and tidy, and everything was easily accessible. There was loads to keep our 4 kids (aged between 5 and 10) amused. The staff that were interacting with the children were excellent, very patient and friendly. A well run park that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Lovely site and very clean. Great amenities for children and lovely walks with beautiful scenery
Nice location and on site shop. Shower facilities are adequate. It can get quite busy when tour buses show up on site. And toilets are very busy during these times as no separate ones for residents. Be prepared to pay for extras.
Loved Nore Valley kids had a great time lots to do playground mini farm, tractor rides and mini farm. Only bad point was they charge to go on the pedal go karts which i didnt mind it was only €1.50 but they only got five mins and then the track was closed again
I will be returning here for the 4th year in a row next week. Can't recommend Nore Valley highly enough, there is something new every year we've been. My children are 7, 6 and 2 and every year it's been a great experience for them. They love feeding the animals and the adults in our group love it too! The baked goods and pizzas in the shop are a real treat, as is the home made jam. The children are already looking forward to the hay jump, and the adults to the archery. There's no problem getting them out of bed in the morning because they won't miss feeding the animals at 9am each day. We look forward to continuing to come here for many years to come.
Great place. Very central for exploring the kilkenny region. Very friendly staff.
Lovely little pet farm and pumpkin patch 🤗
After paying €40 we were then asked to pay €2 a head for a 20 minute tractor ride 🙈 3 adults and 2 children oldest child 5 years
Excellent campsite. Arrived to be greeted by a welcoming lad who went through all the campsite had to offer. Beautiful, scenic and quiet. Toilets and showers spotless too. Highly recommend.
Plenty acctivitys for the small kids.also a lot of small and large animals on view.plenty of space for campers.owners are very friendly and helpful.close proximity to kilkenny city and all it has to offer for tourists.
Nore Valley is the most friendliest happiest and child friendly site we have ever camped in. We have been coming here for 17 years. Facilities are the best in Ireland and they really WANT campers. Thanks so much. Maeve
Great value for money. Kids loved it. Staff were very friendly. Had all the facilities you'd need on site.
Having a fantastic easter weekend in nore valley. Kids loving everything, especially the egg hunt and feeding the animals. All the lads working here are great to deal with and brilliant with the kids. Would recommend this caravan park for everyone, especially families with young kids.
My family really like this place, we have returned time and time again. There are lots for the kids to do, exploring the farm, feeding the little animals, and my son loves the 3d maze. There is also a lovley river walk which myself and my wife love.
1st time camping, me & the kids & this campsite fit the bill perfectly for us... Very kid friendly, petting & feeding farm & good variety of animals (all well cared for I must add), prices reasonable, facilities decent & clean.... Would highly recommend for families.... If your planning on fishing the river though keep in mind permits needed four hour permit was reasonably priced also it's fly fishing only which was disappointing as we intended on lure fishing.... Kids loved it, we will be back.... Thanks!
Great place for the kids great place for camping with tents and campervans or caravans lots of animals to see feed and pet Only drawback was the animals could have done with a bit more cleaning out and more staff on site to help.
But that wasn't a deterrent for us we were happy to be left to our own devices and wander around.
Our 2023 visit to noir Valley was just lovely, the park was very busy, weather was great too .the toilet and shower blocks were spotless and lots of hot water, as always George and gang are so friendly and helpful
It's a fabulous family farm. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. All of the animals are very well cared for and there is enough to entertain the kids to make a fun afternoon.
I'd compare this site to parsons green in tipperary, but I'd consider parsons green much more value for money.
Site is very dark could do with more lighting around the communal and playground areas. For a caravan 2 adults 3 kids with electricity no awning was €38 for the night.
The huts that you can rent are good. The place has an old fashion slide from ~1970s. The organisation of the maze wasent very good as they had no clear price or chart for these "levels" , Thus I have deducted one star. There is an on-site shop in case you are stuck in the evening for food, there is a farm with deer,chicken/hen and much more.
Very crowded and some of the animal pens definitely needs to be cleaned more often.
Amazing wee farm and campsite for kids and couples. All cooking facilities in with your price of camping. Have been twice over the summer and def would recommend
Really nice camping site with lots to do for kids. Good facilities for washing etc.
Very strict "no socialising after midnight" policy which is enforced each night.
I found Nore Valley Park to be a great place. Plenty for children to do ,staff helpful and friendly. It was very well maintained , very family oriantated. A must for a family vacaction and a must visit. Looking forward to coming back again.
Just been there for the Easter weekend with our two boys ,it was brilliant really well run site spotlessly clean and plenty to keep the lads amused. Well done to owners and staff.
We spend a night or two camping here every summer. Kids really love Nore Valley Park - great location with plenty to do - very rustic which adds to it's charm.
Great time seeing lots of cute animals, and had fun feeding them. Perfect for toddlers!
Excellent place. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Lots of things to keep children occupied relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Fantastic family day out over the Saint Patrick's Day weekend, with an added bonus of a snake hunt around the grounds to keep the kids and adults entertained.
Excellent facilities for campers and day trippers alike plenty for kids to do A very enjoyable day out staff very helpful & friendly
Really good value for money, kids really enjoyed it. Was lucky enough to be there at feeding time for the lambs which was fun!
This is a great place to get away with the kids for a weekend. We had a fantastic time, and the kids loved the animals and the playground.
Very good for children (playground, lots of different animals) but rather basic amenities & campsite.
Go to the Easter egg hunt most years. It's nice a little homemade if you get my drift. One thing they really know how to do is charge though.
Nice place for a day out, lots to do.
It's nice to see all the animals and you're also given food to feed them so you can get closer to them. They have a diversity of animals from deer to owls
Lovely place for a family holiday. Lots for kids to do. Very close to Kilkenny city. Quite 'rustic' but that adds to character.
fantastic campsite .very nice staff very friendly chattie.even though they were up to there eyes .still time for a chat place is spotless
Amazing campsite, the facilities are very clean, little BBQ area and picnic benches which we loved!
Stayed in a mobile had a great time. So much to do. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Definitely we will be back
Good pitches. Loads to do on site and only a few minutes outside Kilkenny city. Ideal for kids.

Great place to stay the kids loved it we will be back next week year
Beautiful place, helpful staff, ideal for families with children but also for those who want to visit Kilkenny city.
Great fun place for kids, also beautiful scenery for camping.
Was good. In particular for kids. But less activities if you want to spend whole day.
A lovely quite place. Nice for a bike and walking.
Super Halloween weekend best entertainment for the kids ever. The Maize was pure amazing

Eenvoudige camping, prima plaatsen en een prachtig uitzicht.
Had a really fun day at the farm, the kids especially loved the baby animals, holding and feeding them. They bought the pumpkin and carved it. We got some beautiful photos. We had been before but always good to return.
Visited the animal park of this business.
It has a lot going for it. Location, activities, animal interaction, and what looks like an ideal campsite. And don't forget the cookies we had that were obviously homemade, they were a real highlight.
It would have got a 4⭐ if it was a bit more polished. Straighten some fences, power wash the buildings etc, maintenance of the mini golf,....
Great location, great idea and lots going for it that could be a real head turner.
Had a wonderful time at Nore Valley Park picking our pumpkin and carving it on site was extremely helpful. Amazing views from the pumpkin patch great set up. We had a wonderful family day out getting to see all the animals.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a warm smile at reception. This was my daughters first time at a pet farm and my god its the best iv been too. The animals are so well taken care of. At certain times of the day you can see some animals being fed and get to hold a baby rabbit or chicken. Loved every minute! ♥️
Went camping with the family, it's a great spot, lots for the kids to do to keep them entertained. Just a few minutes drive outside Bennettsbridge.
My wife was obsessed with the home made chocolate chip cookies, jams and honeys that were on sale in the shop there.
Nore Valley Park is a lovely family campsite in a real farm. The green pits are perfect for a tent and they are kept in excellent state. The campsite itself is big enough that you can find your comfortable space but not too big so the kids can play on their own without risks. The facilities were always very clean (e.g. toilet, kitchen, showers) and cleaned many times per day. Some amenities could be updated but they still do the trick! The pet farm is lovely and your kids cAn also participate in feeding the animals. Overall an absolute amazing experience and it won't surely be our last!
Stayed here last week in our van and my only big complaint is organising of the site, tents, vans, motorhomes and caravans are all bundled in together with minimal separation. Everyone has their own bay but they are tight and the noise at night time when you are trying to get a toddler to sleep is fun to say the least, we did bring the layout up with a member of staff on the last night and its just the way it is and the way its always been.
All other sites we'd been to had areas designated to what you were coming with accommodation wise and it could be something we've got used to.
The main playground could be fenced in as its right next to the main car park where cars, vans and tractors are on the move all the time.
The shop with the fresh baked goods is a gem, the coffee from the machine was surprisingly nice (not normally a fan of machine coffee) and all the staff seemed to be on point.
All small things, it would stop us from returning but it wouldn't be the highest on our list.
Lovely day out with the children, who adored the animals, especially the little pony’s and the baby donkeys ❤️, they played some crazy golf and drove the go-karts, loved every minute 😁. The only downside to my trip was the rather rude and condescending elderly person in reception, who doesn’t seem to have time for young folk and rather abrupt in her manner 😔
Camped here with my husband and 2 kids 4 and 6. What an excellent campsite. My kids enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely the best campsite we've been too in a long time.
Great place, just don’t expect bathrooms to be clean. We stayed on a BH weekend and the bathrooms were only cleaned MONDAY! It was a disgrace!
But apart from that awful fact, the place it nice for kids. Good playground and lovely animals.
We had a fantastic experience staying in Norw Valley over the Easter holidays. Our toddler had the time of his life being able to toddle about and see the animals at his leisure as the shed was open morning to evening. The playground was lovely. Great to have facilities for campers such as kitchen, cookers and showers for free. Activities were really affordable most around €2 or free. Multiple times for activities which was great. Staff were amazing with our little guy during activities. Homemade cookies were delicious and again affordable. Can't wait to go again soon.
We were camping it was fabulous but my guys were just that bit old at 12yrs and 10yrs (although the 10yr old keeps asking when we're going back) smaller kids would adore all the farm animals and there's the feeding of the baby animals at certain times of the day that went down well with both young and old alike.
This is a campsite based around a farm so it is a farm first, campsite second. We were unlucky enough to pick a terrible caravan pitch (LV07) through their website map and ended up on the smallest pitch we've ever been on at a campsite. There was just enough room to put up the awning and were just feet way from the caravan next to us. There was no room to park the car beside us. The pitch also backed onto a high wall embankment above which were log cabins for rent. These cabins were full of scumbags for the 4 nights we were there and they kept throwing rocks down onto our caravan and awning. Never going back there again. These are the pro's and cons:||||Pro's||Petting farm with animal feeding for the kids||Good wi-fi around reception area||Extra activities laid on some days (face painting, balloons, etc)||Tractor ride (but fairly uninteresting)||Pizza available||||Cons||Showers running cold and piss poor pressure||No lights working in rear shower portacabin (despite telling staff this)||Chemical toilet blocked everyday (yes)||Crap pool table and cues (with a €20 deposit!!!)||No restaurant or cafe on site (none nearby either)||Young clueless staff with no discretion (not their fault they're not trained properly)
Great experience
Stayed in mobile for a week
Plenty to do on site
Or nearby villages, town or kilkenny City.
Great value for money.
Great friendly staff
Kids loved it
Great spot. We camped with 2 other families and every facility was in good condition, there was plenty to keep the kids busy.
Went down to Nore Valley park with the kiddos today and they absolutely loved it! Beautiful view, lovely place with sitting area for lunch or picnic little play area for kids to run around and little pet farm ! 100% recommend to go down for the day with family !
Took grandchildren to camp, hardly saw them all weekend. Easter egg hunt was a massive success with them. Activities are plentiful and very reasonably priced. Facilities are great, free showers, TV room, pool room... only flaw is almost the entire camping ground is sloped, child and I kept sliding down our mats while we slept 😆 Definitely returning!!!
Just back from a brilliant weekend at Nore valley. Have to say I was anxious going reading mixed reviews on social media this place seemed to be a bit like marmite people loved it or hated it. I couldn't fault it, it's a great spot.
We arrived Friday and were greeted by a nice fella on reception that showed us down to our pitch. The pitch was fabulous very spacious and enough room on the side for the kids to play safely, the pitch was very clean. They do amazing home made pizza on site (best ever according to the kids)and delicious scones and jam you can order the day before very reasonable priced! Lots to do for the family, go karts tractor rides, crazy golf, they can hold bunny's chick's and bottle feed baby goats. They have a nice little tuck shop. The toilets and showers are basic but fine, shower floors a little grubby but hey it's a working farm it gets muddy and dusty what do people expect bring flip-flops for the showers it's fine! Staff lovely, location lovely, lots to do. Thanks for a lovely trip and great memories 😊 We will be back!
Santa was exceptional, my kids said he was definitely the real Santa!!!!! My children were very impressed.
No fuss before or afterwards, very friendly Elfs, in the waiting room where the children can colour.
Very well organised.
Highly recommend.
A great campsite for families. Farm, playground and activities on-site. The staff are lovely, friendly and patient with the kids. It is Rustic as it's a farm, but that's what we like. Being able to light a fire would have been nice on the cold evenings and to roast Marshmallows, but we'll defo be back when it's warmer
Place is lovely, well layed out, great facilities, lots for the kids to do, staff are exceptionally good, service with a smile and a natter, would definitely recommend to those with young families. I should also mention the chocolate chip cookies available for purchase in the tuck shop, they are lovely, they are a disc shape, about 8mm thick, possibly a radius of 26mm and they dissolve with the touch of human saliva, yummy.
Had a wonderful time. Clean amenities. The per farm is a real bonus.
Didn’t have a booking and the lady at the desk went out of her way to get us a nice spot , the setting was lovely the farm was amazing and the pizza they make on site was a big hit with the kids , only suggestion is maybe something more for teenagers will definitely return here. Didn’t get to do river walk as weather went against us .
Just back from 2 nights camping in Nore Valley Park. Had a lovely stay. Lovely site, very good facilities, plenty of activities for my son to keep him busy, very friendly and helpful staff, especially George, and lovely brown bread for breakfast. We also enjoyed pizza freshly made on site one of the evenings. Very well run park and farm, and it felt very safe. We will be back.
Santa Paws 2023 - fantastic experience. All of us and the dog really enjoyed it and the photo was fab. Santa and all the elves did a great job, a really positive and enjoyable experience.
We attended the Halloween event in 2023. Wasn't too crowded, lovely atmosphere, the scare maze was fantastic although I don't think my nerves could handle it a second time!
Amazing place been a few times now and kids never get tired of it. lovely friendly staff, great facilities. Kids kept themselves entertained all day the animals are so lovey and kids enjoyed feeding them and holding chicks and rabbits. Could not recommend this place enough. We will be back again and again.
Spent Halloween weekend there. Amazing campsite, lots to do for the kids. Petting farm was a major hit with kids of all ages, getting to hold baby chicks rabbits and bottle feed the goats. Kids had a ball and we will be back
Went there with a hen and had a great time. Lovely staff and such a lovely farm, all the animals were so sweet and clearly treated very well, they just loved coming up to us! I think my favourites were the llamas , so cute 😂
Stayed here in our campervan for 3 nights, with two young kids - really well run, facilities well maintained, kids disappeared and not seen for hours on end playing with their friends around the site, a lovely park worth visiting.
Amazing family stay .Nore Valley.Pet farm was brilliant with a great variety of animals .feeding the lamb was a great experience for kids.we stayed in a clean and spacious mobile home.fresh baking and jams available in onsite shop.highly recommend. Friendly ,helpful staff.Play ground, tractor rides and go carts for kids.lovely scenic location with swimming pool and supermarket near by.
The Easter egg hunt and petting farm were very good day out for kids. Some of the adults had great fun hunting too. Easter bunny was happy to see everyone.
Visited the place for the day. We had a great time. Kids loved it. The farm was great. We had a go on the tractor bringing us around we loved the go carts.
Kids had a great time playing mini golf today
We had a wonderful time . The children loved it and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Very lovely place. Young staff handling da morn and afternoon pet feeds very gentle and good natured both with pets and kids. Loved it all and such country beautiful walks and surroundings. Thank you for relaxing, countryside holiday....
Just popped in for a day visit, definitely worth the trip! So much to do on site, campsites, farm animals, crazy golf, playgrounds! You can feed and interact with the animals aswell as getting to hold baby bunnies and chicks! 10/10
Back form a brilliant weekend camping. Brilliant value for money, friendly staff loads to do for the family. Try the home baking it's fab.
Always have an amazing stay in Nore Valley, loads for the kids to do, nice and relaxing for the parents. Not far from kilkenny city, highly recommend.
Always a great experience for families. The park is great. Loads of fun .
Kids loved it. Very kind and friendly staff.
Very nice campsite for children with playground and petting zoo. Nice staff! Clean sanitary facilities.
We spent 1 night here. In advance (3-4 hours before arrival we called to see if they were free), on the website they went to reserve min. 2 nights. The lady at the reception warmly welcomed us, explained everything and gave tips for a visit to nearby Kilkenny (approx. 20 min drive by campervan). Toilets and showers clean. Great place for families with children. 1 night (campervan, 2 adults, electricity) = €33. Shame we couldn't stay longer! :)
On our tour in Ireland I used the Campercontact app. This campsite was located there. It really is a campsite for children, where they can enjoy themselves to their heart's content. I think the campsite was an old farm. The children can also spend plenty of time with the animals
We only spent one night (the last of our trip) but it was the best camping we did during our trip! Friendly welcome, numerous amenities (kitchen with hobs, fridge and freezer, free hot showers, small shop with delicious homemade products) and very pleasant view of the countryside (not to mention the rather attractive price compared to some campsites). We can walk around the farm and see many animals! We absolutely recommend this campsite!!!
I was there on Sundays, they don't offer any facilities, but I visited the farm, saw the animals and had a pleasant walk. The staff is very friendly. The place is suitable for families with children. There is a lot of content for children, a playground, you can see various animals. They also have a mobile farm, I think with small animals, I'm not 100% sure, you should check, it's suitable for birthdays and the like. They also have the option of camping. Beautiful nature.
A very nice campsite with a very nice reception who is happy to help you with any kind of problems. There are offers that are intended for children, but can also be a lot of fun for older teenagers!
A perfect place to spend the night in nature. It has all the necessary services for camping
