S. W.Hotel over all was nice. Gloria in the treatment room was the nicest. Lunch took nearly 40mins to come out for 2 sandwiches and a coffee. Dinner was nice but not blown away. Service was quick. Their was an issue with the bill as we were on a package but it took 4 staff to finally bring us the correct bill. Swimming pool was crowded with no life guard. Sides of the pool needed a clean. Rooms were nice and big. Breakfast was okay. Scrambled egg was gray and clumped together.

The plates at breakfast would be better if they where heated as the food gets cold very quick.With me being Coeliac I found that some of the breakfast staff although aware off gluten free did not understand what it meant.A little training in this area especially in the handling of food would be beneficial.
d. h.We had a great day golfing here recently. Eventhough the weather outlook was poor for the day, being avid golfers we battled on. The course was in excellent condition despite rain earlier on the week. One small problem on the day was that no buggies were allowed on the course because of the rain in previous days, and the course didn't supply electric bag carriers. We had to pull our bags but that didn't interfere with our group's enjoyment on the day. Food after golf was served by very helpful and courteous staff. Excellent day out and we will be back.

J. B.Decent hotel if your into Golf or Horse racing but otherwise Iβd give it a miss. Waiting Staff were quite disorganised. Food was average to good. Room good but poor range of TV channels, beds comfortable. We had booked a junior suite but it was simply an average room with no additional luxuries that you would expect in fact my in-laws standard room was nicer. Be wary of booking a βjunior suiteβ. Pool was great just remember to book your slot - thanks Covid π‘. Outdoor space for dining or a drink is very good with lovely views of the golf course. My personal rating is 3 stars.

l. o.Stunning view of golf course from room which had disabled bathroom not easy to brush teeth or wash face in sink knee height not suitable for able bodied persons. Food was mediocre waiting staff were lovely but some needed more training i.e. trying to remove plates and glasses before the whole table were finished. Covid arrangements good until the sat night when there was a free for all in the lounge, no masks no distancing and a lot of hugging Very frightening behaviour, a manager did sort things out but it was too little too late. I don't think I would go back to this hotel again.

A. K.Just back from a stay in Ballykisteen, I would have to say it is a 3 star hotel and the only thing making it a 4 star is the incredible Golf Course. The pool was not the cleanest or the best looking and it does not look like the pictures. The restaurant and bar food for me also missed the mark. My cocktail was served in a tumbler glass which made it look rather disappointing and the next night my daughters ice cream was served the same glass! It was bit weird service, serving things like this. It's just the simple wee details itthewasla8ng 8which would have made all the difference

c. l.Lovely hotel. Friendly staff, relaxed environment, great food ,very clean and quiet. Unfortunately our stay wasn't great. The phone in our room started ringing at 3am and woke everybody up. It rang again 3 more times during the night. We were able to disconnect it but the phone in the bathroom started ringing. The radiator in the room was very hot ,you couldn't put your hand on it.. It made the room too hot snd stuffy. We tried turning it down or off but the valve was broken and it wouldn't turn off. We ended up having to keep the window open for the night. But between the heat which was nauseating and the phone ringing nobody slept well.

K. B.This is an interesting hotel. On first glance it seems quite similar to a lot of other hotels but it actually has a number of points of difference that are worth mentioning . The entrance is marked by a four pillar facade, which is reminiscent of the old country estates dotted throughout the country. As you enter, the lobby is impressive with a wide open space and the staff were really helpful. Everything is spotless. The hotel is situated beside a gold course which is of course a major selling point. It looks like club members and hotel residents share the same car park. Across the road from the entrance are the familiar white railings synonymous with horse training and more familiar with the curragh racecourse. The meeting rooms are large and spacious and incorporate large balconies, which over look the golf course and provide a nice seating area when its warm enough. I think the hotel also incorporates a gymnasium, and although I didn't get to see it, it's also another selling point. The only quibble is the toilets downstairs seemed a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel. I'd definitely consider for a weekend break, particularly if you are a keen golfer I didn't have time to sample the food unfortunately.

C. G.Beautiful hotel with great facilities. We had 2 lovely dinners in the bar and in the restaurant. The breakfast was great too. Lovely golf course and views from our room onto the greens. Swimming pool is small but it wasn't very busy so unnoticeable really. Steam room and suana were amazing. Plus we had treatments in the spa which we loved. Room was great too and had all things most people would need. Reception was really helpful with everything we needed too ! Overall, great weekend in a lovely hotel. Thank you

O. G.Near Tipperary, can't comment on the golf as staying in the area for other reasons, looks a well maintained course though! Its a nice hotel though, would highly recommend the food, very good quality and well cooked. Rooms spacious. Worrh a stay if here for the surroundings, golf or the racecourse.
P. M.Nice hotel to stay for a few nights. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Facilities are quite good. Rooms are modern and well maintained. Wifi is fairly good. Food in the bar is quite nice, breakfast could be better but not bad. Golf course on the grounds too and it's about a ten minute drive to the town and shops. Overall it's good value for your money and would stay here again if I'm in the area.

J. D.My family only stayed here a day yet it was a very quiet hotel, almost completely modern and up to date facilities other than the old TV which occasionally buzzed. The golf coarse out back was a nice experience too. In the restaurant below I got fish in chips, which I admit was not the best for to poor breading. Despite this, the staffing seemed fine and the complementary breakfast was good and well displayed.

Breakfast high quality, lots to choose from. On a Coach tour Evening meals, given same veg each day, but plenty to eat & choose from. Breakfast staff very accomadating. Wouldn't mind returning.
A. S.Overall good but I would not recommend this hotel to families with small kids, as pool is too small and way too cold. In changing rooms no hooks to hang towels when taking shower and very cold there.
Hotel room clean, breakfast good, nice staff. Pancakes lovely, made to order, same as you need to ask for breakfast beans but staff really nice, made you feel welcome. It's a pity I wouldn't go back as pool is really important to us to keep two small children entertain..
J. F. Q.Great place to spend a couple of days golfing. Staying in the lodges gives all The Comforts of Home and and you can also get the hotel breakfast. Very nice golf course with water and out of bounds in play quite a lot off the tee. 4 or 5 holes at least wear just getting in position off the tee is the primary goal. 11 200 yard shot maximum. A couple of the par fives where just playing as a 3 shotter makes best sense.
J. O.The staff are the main thing the hotel has going for it, everyone of them we met were great. However, whatever IT system they run is a bit chaotic. Lost our dinner order, only charged us for one night rather than two. Had stayed in the GN in Nenagh previously, this is not quite to the same standard but a pleasant, laid back hotel.
e.My wife and I stayed recently and found the rooms spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and polite. We opted against having dinner at the hotel, but immediately regretted it - the food looked delicious and judging by the number of customers in the restaurant for dinner it probably tasted as good. The hotel is attached to a golf course, and lessons are available for 30 euro. There is also a pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and beauty therapist rooms. All in all, a good place, reasonably priced, handy for the local racecourse (across the road) and for Limerick Junction railway station. But is about 5km from Tipperary town itself and there is not much else around the hotel for an evening out unless you venture to Tipperary. Only other regret (apart from not having dinner) is that we only stayed the one night.

Rooms are really big and nicely decorated, our room over looked the golf course and we sat and watched the golfer's play while we drank coffee. The swimming pool was a real treat, coming back after a day of trekking around castle's around nd relaxing in the pool was lovely.

D. H.Have been here occasionally for family events. Caters to parties of all sizes, decently good carvery, good bar, lovely grounds and golf course. High stool and tables in the bar/restaurant area are not good for meals, but may be the only option on certain days as it can be very busy.
J. C.My daughter has attended swimming lessons here for a few years, I have attended several functions here and also stayed over once or twice...even though I only live 2 minutes up the road! I have never had a bad experience, the staff there are amazing, it has a wonderful feel to the place, great value for money also! I love this place!

M. A.A comfortable relaxed place to have a meal or a drink. A varied menu to suit all tastes and ages. Children welcome . The Tuesday curry night is good value and the curry very tasty. However the accompanying samosas and nan bread were a little disappointing. The samosas were tiny and content poor whilst the nan were cold and not soft. Also the poppadoms and the starter were served at the same time as the main course. The accompanying wine or lager were very pleasant. As a party consisting of three generations we all enjoyed a relaxing and good meal after a very hectic and stressful day and will certainly return again.

Would probably try elsewhere if I was staying in Tipperary again.
