Reviews of MTU Arena
Fantastic arena.Went to see Ballincollig v UCC Blue Demons basketball game.First time visiting & phoned the day before to get a heads up from the very helpful staff.Plenty of parking especially for a big game plus lots of other activities going on around the campus.Staff to help guide first timers like us,quickly through ticket desk.Impressive arena with two stands on one side of the court.Seats are comfortable but not great legroom which you feel after the game.Very skillful & exciting game, definitely coming back for more basketball.Quick exit from the carpark as well.
Thank you MTU Arena for a great experience.
Friendly staff lovely waiting area.
Great grounds around to have a walk. Lots of parking spots
Modern, spacious. Good sound and airy. Friendly staff. Cafe small and not much choice not like SETU which has a fab resteraunt and cafe.
You couldn't help but be impressed by MTU's relatively new Arena. The seating felt almost like it had not been sat on and the facilities all had that "just out of the packet" feel. This €22 million state-of-the-art multi-purpose building opened only in 2023. It includes a 1,340m2 hall, two studios, a café and a 600 m2 gym. The arena is open seven days a week, and membership of the gym is open to all.
I attended as part of a dance competition and tye floor space was evident. However the facility caters for a multitude of other events during the year such as sports, societies, conferring ceremonies, careers fairs, and examinations. The venue is also be available for hire and the main hall of the Arena can accommodate 1,200 people seated, which is pretty impressive. The sound is poor and tends to reverberate a lot off the box like concrete structure. Enjoyable place to visit with parking close by.
The indoor courts are well maintained and spacious to play Basketball & Volleyball. The gym is spacious.
Great parking, facilities and track.
