Reviews of The Wall Climbing Gym
Amazing experience, would definitely recommend it. So much fun. Takes all the adrenaline out of you, worth every penny.
My husband and I had a wonderful begineer training session with Luke at the weekend, he was very patient, knowledgeable, encouraging and chatty. He gave us great pointers on the best routes to climb and put us at ease as we hadn't climbed in years. We really enjoyed the time we spent there and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you 5*. Jennifer Byrne & David Heney.
Friendly staff, good climbing for beginners and intermediate climbers, kinda cool you could tell the difference in style here compared to other bouldering gyms in Dublin.
Really love this place. Loads of space, great layout and interesting problems. Staff and music are great too. All round good vibes to the place
Really great place for climbing and have loads of obstacles to climb you won't be tired at all.
Really like and enjoy this place. A bit hard to climb with the mask on, but this is the world we live in. Place was really crowded on Friday night, so if you want to avoid crowd go other times.
Great gym, would go back, nice fast booking/induction process
Lovely vibe, great atmosphere and most importantly lovely staff
Super fun, laid back place to get some exercise that doesn't even feel like exercise! Definitely worth a visit if you're anti-gym but looking for somewhere to get moving. I went at midday on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy but I've heard it can get extremely busy apres work as it's located in the industrial estate.
It's nice to go with some friends but there were definitely people climbing solo. All ages welcome so it could be cool for families. There was a birthday party happening when I was there which I'm sure you'd need to book in advance.
Wear clothes you can move freely in. Don't wear black because you'll have chalk hand prints all over yourself. If you're going in a group you only really need one chalk bag between 3 or 4 people.
You can grab a pretty decent coffee while you're there too :)
First time there for my son. He absolutely loved it. What a great way to destress before an exam. He was totally chilled out and enjoying it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Seem Passionate about what they do. Amazing selection of different walls for every skill level. Clean, colourful, safe and surprisingly good value. You can get a great cup of coffee there too.
Great place to enjoy a relaxing climbing session with friends or to focus on your next big project. The wall has it all! From training area to great atmosphere! And did I mention the coffee?! One of the best in the area! Bring a friend too :)
Excellently located just seconds away from a Luas stop, a wide variety of routes and everything you would expect from a good bouldering centre. Prices are fair with student discounts too although the price for chalk rental is a tiny bit excessive, still a five star place and as good as any London bouldering centre.
Went to this bouldering wall when I visited Dublin. It is compact with various bouldering puzzles for all abilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can hire climbing shoes here. There are also drinks available. But if you are like me, you will climb until they kick you out at closing time.
Great, in that you can climb anywhere on your own without needing a belay partner thanks to the crash mats. The routes are changed regularly and you can buy equipment as well as coffee and snacks etc. However it's a bit expensive, especially when compared to the university climbing gyms.
€9 for a normal ticket (€8 students) and €2,50 to rent climbing shoes (which are mandatory).
Nice bouldering hall with many routes of different difficulty. They don't offer lessons but they have a trainer walking around on Tuesday and Thursday evenings if you need tips. Even on other days most people around are willing to help.
Great gym with a nice variety of styles and holds. Setting is creative and seems fair to the grade compared to other gyms.
Very friendly and welcoming seeing as I was visiting from Wales.
Great gym! Really friendly! Not just the owners and employees but also the rest of the climbers! Great atmosphere!
The newest of the three climbing gyms options offered in Dublin. It is a bouldering only gym with very frequently reset coloured circuits. The grades range from 3 to 7c, with a good concentration around the 6-7 transition level. The style of the problems is usually very technical and not so much based on strength as in other gyms. A personal favourite!
Amazing facility to have back open. I love the variety of climbs
A Busy spot. Call ahead to ensure an instructor is available if booking in kids.
A bit cool in winter if your not climbing, but decent coffee available to warm you up :)
The staff are very friendly. There are all sorts of climbing events from time to time. The different levels of paths are well set and they get changed from time to time so you don't get bored. Could be slightly crowded during peak time.
I enjoy the colourful growths from these walls
It's a great form of exercise that works the whole body. Staff are friendly and it's a great place to hang out and meet new people. Easy to get there if you live anywhere near the green line Luas as it's situated 2 minute walk from the stillorgan stop.
Fantastic bouldering gym. The owners and all the employees are lovely. Highly recommend coming here if it's your first time or if you're experienced.
Great place, great staff, great atmosphere. Always welcoming, great climbing and always clean and tidy.
Always a great place to climb!
Easily the best climbing centre in Dublin. Very friendle staff and routes change fairly often, all at a competitive price too. Well worth a visit!
Great experience every time. Price is fair, the crowd is great, routes are updated frequently and they still have a good practice area with weights and some other things to exercise.
Brilliant fun, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great place to meet friends of all fitness levels for a climb and a coffee.
Spacious gym, affordable prices and routes are changed regularly. It gets rather crowded towards the evening so I suggest going early if possible
I didn't know what to expect. Disclairlmer was a bit worrying (signing you life away). Started easy finished on the blue. Arms still killing. Really chillout crowd. Will certainly go again.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and there is a good variety of routes for all skill levels!
Great staff, loads of different difficulty climbing routes, cafe and chill out area and reasonably priced. Excellent
Decent routes bit crowded tho
Very nice gym, good problems with various difficulty levels. Great for beginners and they do also free beginner classes on some days.
Ohh yes i like to climby very good so very very high i fell and hurt my arm though now its very sore ouch it hurts so bad very good climby though mm yess i like the green circles so very very fun
I really recommend Mari's silk classes. Great for all levels and ages. A fun way to get stronger and get motivated to build up strength.
They lent us socks! Excellent service. Great music. And of course - excellent bouldering walls!
walls lack texture, they need some fans to lower humidity, but otherwise it's great.
[edit] they got fans for the humidity. good work.
Great friendly atmosphere. Designed by climbers for all. Fun to train and also just hang out.
Excellent climbing gym with table tennis and coffee and snacks available. Easily would spend 3-4 hours here without realizing
Absolutely fantastic spot for climbing. Very accessible by Luas. Really good vibe in the place.
Great climbing gym, suitable for all levels- from begginers to professionals and staff very nice and attentive
Great atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff.I always have good fun there
Great atmosphere, coaches to relax on as well as table tennis for when you are not climbing.
Great facility, constantly changing routes and a very friendly welcoming and helpful gym
Excellent! Great fun, decent prices and the staff are sound. Will be going back again.
Great place for beginners and the more advanced. Do great kids parties as well.
Great way to spend a day. But can't climb with kids without a pre booked instructor
Great spot for bouldering. Friendly staff and the coffee is nice
Great facility...hard work for a beginner like me. Lovely helpful staff.
Nice venue but a little cold and restrict some areas for changing colours
The Wall is an excellent bouldering gym with really helpful staff and amazing coffee.
Great staff, great atmosphere. Nice area to relax and everything
Best bouldering gym in Ireland.....great staff, great coffee!
Great place for bouldering of all experience levels
Good place for bouldering, really new and really cool stuff
Really good place for kids when it is raining outside. Really nice staff people.
Try to go here as often as I can! Affordable and a lot of fun!

Fun for kids, pretty low walls though
Great place, friendly people, got atmosphere
Something for everyone. Great problems, great staff

6* would be more appropriate

Best climbing gym in Dublin!
Excellent climbing gym
Amazing
Bouldering paradise ;)
Love this place.
Great routes, great coffee, friendly staff; Emily is the best
No need for description.
great fun!
Brilliant day out
Great spot
Large climbing room on blocks, with increasingly ingenious levels, the prices are reasonable. Fitness equipment and a table tennis table are available free of charge. There is also a sofa area for chatting and resting and glasses of water are offered to refresh yourself. Great to go with friends, the general atmosphere is pleasant
We had a great time) it’s bad that there is no locker room. All muscle groups will be involved.
This place was awesome, the climbs were super challenging but the holds were very wet for some reason.
The facilities were a bit run down, like the bathrooms weren't very nice, there was no changing room/shower and aesthetically everything was a bit "run down". But saying that, it made it really charming at the same time like the true focus was on the climbing and training, I can understand and appreciate that. The actual hold quality was very good and the upper level of climbs were very good, I had a great coffee and the staff were brilliant and very helpful. It's nice when the staff are enjoying themselves and are personable.
I knocked a star off because the holds were quite wet and negative delta holds were impossible to use as a result, but I got a great workout and had fun. It was nice as a once-off visit, I'm sure I'd be a permanent member if I lived in Dublin but it's also very very expensive membership wise.
Amazing community here, just this everything could look a bit nicer and it wouldn't hurt!
Great climbing gym located close to a Luas stop. I like that they have their own numerical grading system. There's an interesting variety of holds and problems across the different grades, even for beginners.
Great employees, very knowledgeable and experienced. Safety wise, the place is amazing, everyone is courteous and friendly. Me, being the amateur, I felt really confident trying different levels within my capacity, I keep going there and it’s the best way to relax after work. There is place to warm up and have sweet treat after session
I visit this place regularly when I’m in Ireland for work. They have many subscription options if a yearly subscription doesn’t fit. Especially the 30 days for 30 euros (including shoe rent) is perfect if you’re new to climbing. Staff is helpful. Coffee is great, so is the music. During week day peak hours, it is sometimes unpleasantly crowded.
My favourite bouldering gym in Dublin. The routesetters are doing a great job of setting fun and creative problems at all difficulty levels and the atmosphere is great
Doesn't have a proper locker room (or a shower) though, so keep that in mind
It's not often I give climbing gyms 5 stars. And I've been to some 100+ gyms in various countries over the years. The setting here is just amazing at just the right distances for dynamic moves to actually work (so you feel encouraged to try), the problems are readable to the point where it even got me, a sworn hater of slab, on some slab. It reminded me of the old school gyms from before climbing became popular. I had FUN climbing again, for the first time in ages, where I usually am walking around gyms struggling to find enjoyable problems. Here there were dozens to try.
Very approachable problems, friendly people around that'll talk to you and join you as you project, good vibes. And I'm saying this without them having a tunnel or kilter board... although there is a moon board. (But maybe the gym needs a few more complete overhanging problems on their arches to really make things perfect ^^👌). Having fun is the most important thing in a sport like this, and this gym remembers how to set that way, even on comp style problems. Definitely try this gym if you come by Dublin, even if you're a beginner. It'll remind you how to climb for fun again, the problems just Inspire movement that somehow unlocks that.
I hope this review helps some climber like me stopping by Dublin looking at which climbing gym they should visit :)
It’s a really good place to have fun with friend or by yourself is a perfect plan to do at the weekend and to see how much far you can go.
The people how work over there is so kind and lovely I can recommend this 100%.
Great climbing gym with lots of route sets which get constantly changed over the year..Friendly staff and the place is kept clean..
Fantastic facility!
Similar to Hong Kong bouldering gyms, it's Challenging, Neat and the space is very efficiently used!
Hats off to the route setters and the helpful staff... with their great taste in music 🎶
Looking forward to returning, when my injury recovers.
Lovely staff and great atmosphere from the Patrons. Also a great deal for the first 30 days for €30 so you can properly try it out.
Unfortunately it’s can be quite busy but that’s because there aren’t many of these around
Great bouldering spot. If it’s your first time they make you do an introduction course
Great place for a climb, the routes are great and varied and the weekly rotation keeps it fresh and interesting. The staff is also amazing.
Been going for 4 years. Great place for bouldering whether you’re a total beginner or looking for a challenge. They reset sections weekly on Wednesdays so there’s always fresh routes.
It was great fun! It's just a bit pricey. But they have the €30 for a month deal, and you can go as many times as you want.
Uhm wow, just finished my first class today and had to say how much fun it was!! Our coach and teacher Yamina was amazing! 🥹 So encouraging and patient, made such a difference in giving me the confidence to climb as a beginner 💪🏻
This place is amazing for bouldering! Fun and challenging problems and the staff are very lovely. Great and supportive atmosphere as well!
Good problems, relaxed welcoming environment, everyone helps each other. On more than one occasion I've been struggling with a problem and people come over and give me some tips. I go every week now because it's such a nice place to be.
Great staff. Great gym for bouldering. Great coffee. I really like the place. Good pastry. Friendly atmosphere
The variety in wall shape is a little disappointing, majority are just flat walls going straight up or with a slight incline/overhang...the centre block is great but it looks like they've stopped route setting on the main arch which was a big appeal for me, the walls seem a little shorter too compared to other gyms I've been too and the grading system isn't as well done in my opinion
So because of those drawbacks it feels a little more expensive than it should be when compared to "gravity" or "awesome walls"
But the staff are great, great atmosphere, I really like the training room and electric practice board
If it was a little cheaper I'd give it 4* but the walls themselves and the grading system would have to change to reflect their current price or get a higher rating
Still fun bouldering problems though
Nice and large bouldering gym. Great route setting for all levels.
Just went back and enjoyed it as much as during my last Dublin visit
Surprisingly, great coffee ☕
Not to mention staff knows how to handle kids and keep them entertained.
Excellent facility. Very good routes and friendly staff.
Really fun and challenging. Very friendly staff too.
Great place with great music. First time I ever went bouldering.
Good place for climbing. Easier access for beginners than some other options.
Amazing experience, I went there a weekday at 6pm and it wasn’t busy at all.
Had a wonderful time with my son.
So much fun, music is great and the staff are very friendly
Brilliantly run facility great staff and lovely experience.
Simply the best indoor bouldering in Dublin.
Friendly staff. Coffee, tea and snacks available
Very clean
Shoes available to rent
They keep on the heating unlike other places
Nice people, nice environment, nice routes - I love it😄
Great little climbing gym
Very fun for people of all skill levels
Cool spot. Very relaxed
Good problems of all grades
It was a great experience
It's great to get into and practice climbing. €18.5 for the first time including shoes
