J. H.Nice hotel in the suburbs of Galway. We enjoyed the health club access using the pool, jacuzzi, and saunas. It was a nice grocery store nearby and it was easy access to a bus stop to take into Galway. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a great location to take day trips into Northern Ireland and other areas. Parking was on property and easy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and also dinner.
A. L.Our Cherry suite was fantastic, spacious and very clean, looks like it has been refurbished recently. The only drawback is too much noise from the other guests, feels like they are sitting in your room, talking and walking were so loud that we could barely hear TV. They stopped noise only after midnight. Of course it's not hotel's fault that some guests have lack of respect and adequate behavior in public places but honestly the room isn't soundproof also. It's upsetting and ruins the feeling of privacy. The water pressure in the bathroom was not great, constantly changing from little to high and releasing air with splashes. But overall hotel left a good impression, maybe one day we'll be back.

On the second night of our stay,we had gathered in a lounge area with other guests, all staying within our own groups. Everyone was in a happy mood. A sing song started, one gentleman sang a song, he had a great voice, then he called on a lady to sing, she sang a song and before she finished the general manager walked over and tapped her on the shoulder and said in a loud voice and very abrupt manner that no singing was allowed, no music of any sort unless the hotel provided it. We were all very embarrassed and felt very sorry for the lady he had spoken to so rudely. Everyone was shocked at how he had behaved. The lady left the room and went outside for a while. When she returned we were just starting a sing song again. No sign of the General Manager anymore . We did eventually have a great night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Why he did this to this lady,, puzzles us all. He upset a lot of guests and made no attempt to apologise for his behaviour before we all retired to bed after a most enjoyable evening, without him. He should look at his staff and learn a few things about how to look after his guests.

What they need to improve is the driveway into the hotel. It's kinda narrow.

The 3-course meal was superb, with a wide range of options for meat eaters and vegans alike, and we had lovely tea and scones before the meal. The venue was lovely and all went very smoothly. P. J.Hotel was nice in a quiet setting. What warrants the 3 stars for me was the reception. The woman behind the counter was nice, but quickly overruled it seemed by the man who was there also. He was quite rude I have to say. Tainted the experience for me.
W. O. B.Great food but bar service is questionable. Beds really nice as is room being serviced was unexpected. Rules made up as the evening progressed which is not what you want as a guest. When asked earlier and informed of closing time it was changed on the whim of senior management. Very unfair.

A. U.Very nice hotel tucked away from the nearby busy road. The building itself is quiet old and corridors narrow but it has its charming character. The staff is very nice and helpful. The same in the leisure centre. We loved the beer garden just at the front of the building

H.I loved it there it is a little old worldy but it has old school service and a delicious breakfast .....the evening food is lovely too and they are very accommodating I have allergies and they made me a sauce like I just said I couldn't have the other one I am so used to it but the lady in charge of the dining room just got me some so the chef must be sound too...oh yeah and the veg is a little crisp I can't spell the other word but it had a bite. So yep tottally going back 😀💖 oh yeah beside Tescos is a coffee shop calls Thomas I think so worth a visit.....a
b. F.we had a pleasant stay except the leisure centre did not look like the picture.it was very small and their changing rooms were poor.no locks for the lockers.food was lovely.bedrooms were clean but the mattresses on the beds were in need of replacing.

J. A. w.After the last 15 months, my wife and I and our best friends treated ourselves to a midweek break at thr Oranmote Lodge to celebrate my Wife Pauline's 60th birthday.
We had our evening meals in the Lodge, and the food was excellent, top class, fantastic breakfast as well. The staff made us all feel very welcome, and both the staff and management went our of their way, to help pull off a surprise birthday party (small) for us, cake, candles balloons etc. Overall an a fantastic experience. Will definitely be staying at the Orenmore Lodge Hotel.

M. O.We have just been to Oranmore Lodge for a 2 day stay (friend and myself). We had a really lovely time. The hotel is indeed a quaint hidden away gem. Rooms are airy spacious and very clean. Beds comfy.
Staff are excellent! Right across the board they made us feel so welcome. A huge thank you all for helping to make this a lovely stay. A shout out to Thomas who served some wonderful drinks with such welcome cheeriness, to Bernie who served dinner with a friendly chat and Cian at breakfast, that's just to mention a few. Ye are all doing a stellar job in these trying times. Well done! Oh and did I mention Thomas -he just kept appearing with our drinks 🤣.

The food is great, the only criticism (if you can call it that) is the potions are large - so if you want dessert, you have to be disciplined earlier!

Mats in leisure centre a bit grubby and bags of dirty sheets and towels in the narrow halls as the cleaners work are not ideal. Bed was very comfy , rooms were clean , shower pressure was excellent and the full irish was tasty.

M. J. S. M.I stayed at the Oranmore Lodge for 2 weeks in 2020 and had a superb stay. The accommodation is very peaceful and excellently located. My room was huge and there were big windows with lots of fresh air. The building itself is beautiful. The management and staff could not be nicer - first class hospitality. The WiFi was very strong which was important to me as I was working from my room and had no issues streaming or participating in video conferences. The hotel has a great leisure center and Oranmore village is a short stroll away. There are some beautiful sunsets over Galway Bay, with Oranmore Castle in the foreground -again, a short walk away. The hotel is located near several grocery stores, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. The food and beverage service at the hotel is also wonderful. And there is great parking too! A hidden gem in Galway!

D.No fans!! Was told they only have 4 cooling fans for the whole hotel.. I have more in my house, just doesn’t make sense. No complimentary water in the rooms and pretty harsh bathroom toiletries. Other than this beds were comfortable and staff were very pleasant and did try to accommodate, especially the older lady with light coloured hair who served us with food, she was exemplary. Would have been easier for waiting on staff if there was more butter on the tables, condements available without needing to ask, bigger plates (side plates only provided) and self service tea / coffee.

Upon arriving the blonde lady at reception was absolutely lovely and so engaged with the guests. The layout and structure of the hotel was also very beautiful.
We booked a superior room with the bed and pillows being unbelievably comfortable. Coffee and tea also in the room as well as a mini fridge.
We went downstairs to Barneys Bar to see if we could grab a drink and bite to eat. One of the gentlemen (I didnt get his name) seated us immediately and was so accommodating and friendly. I ordered the Bacon Cutlet and it was served in a matter of 15-20 minutes and so extremely delicious!! Our waiter then gave me a glass of white wine on the house as it was made by accident which was very thoughtful of him.
The next morning we down for breakfast and although it was very busy we were given a table straight away by who I believe was the Food and Beverage manager. He was really friendly also. The breakfast was gorgeous and so many options to choose from.
The only negative things I could say about the hotel was our view from our room which was the car parking area and we were roomed beside the fire door which seemed to open and close all night. Although there was a storm outside so I cannot fault the hotel staff for this.
Oranmore Lodge was the perfect place to stay for me and my partners city break and got us away from the chaotic scenes of Dublin City for a while.

E. B.Beautiful house in excellent order. Mixing the elegance of yester year with the modern requirements of a hotel. Lovely little bar, very tasty food, outside seating area and a sun room. Bedroom was great and staff could not be more accomodating. Also has a great looking pool with steam room and jacuzzi. I will try the leisure facilities next time I am in as I will definitely be back. Did I mention...great price too and only minutes from the centre of Oranmore and few miles outside Galway city.

N. I.A nice little hotel, just not well suited for those of us who are vision-impaired. Random short flights of stairs dotted everywhere, including up to the bathroom door in both of our rooms, in the middle of the poorly lit breakfast room and on the halls, and in most cases the floor covering on these stairs is not hight contrast. Both rooms had a weird layout whereby the bedside reading lamps are obscured from the bed by a wooden panel, rendering them useless.
On the plus side, Friendly reception staff, convenient parking, very nice meals in the bar, pleasant and spacious rooms that don't feel like soul-less boxes (although one room had a saggy part in the floor) and a short walk to the rooms.

The hotel imteriors would use some improvements, when you enter the lobby you can smell a bit of dampness.
Nice staff, plenty of space in the bar/restaurant. During the week it's not very busy there so it takes a while to get your order.
Last time I have ordered Atlantic seafood chowder - it wasn't bad. I would recommend to try their 8oz. Hamburger - I really enjoyed it.

R. E. C.Service was good but the decor serious sucked. Lots of irritating snags in the bedroom. The entire hotel including all bedrooms were non smoking which was NOT nice. Reduced my comfort having to walk out the front door for a smoke and made it look like guests were loitering around. WiFi was irritating being bit buzz with a rubbish connection speed compared to my 100mb home connection. It's 2012, a throttled 2mb connection does not cut it these days. Tv in the bedroom was rubbish with very few stations one which the a/v was constantly out of sync and the other playing a loud hiss.
