D. N.One thing I know and know well, are chippers. This is one of the best I’ve eaten at, not only in Tipperary but across Ireland. Very nice and friendly staff and cracking food. Great quality burger meat also. Highly recommend a visit when in Fethard.

P. B.For the most part, The Lantern serves good food; has an excellent variety of meals and quick service. The staff and the proprietor are friendly and efficient. The best times are when the place is busy; you will get gorgeous chips that stay hot until the last one. Chicken fillet burgers, beef burgers, battered sausages, fish, and the pizza are all of excellent quality. The Lantern is a great place to stop if you happen to be doing the Grand Fethard Pub Crawl; especially being close to the middle.
