While the menu isn't very big, the food is delicious. Only burger on the menu because its what they're good at.... You have the choice of rare, medium rare etc and they're delicious. A bit pricey but very affordable for an employed person. Chips are great too. Got a medium burger and very juicy

Bunsen was recommended to me and the reviews suggested it offered something special. However, it does not. The menu is small and the burgers are basic and unspectacular. I was pleased when the server asked how I'd like my burger cooked as this is a rarity in Ireland. I asked for medium but it was overcooked. The burger meat was a little bit chewy and slightly dry. It was far from tender. Overall the burger did taste good but you can get the same taste from a chipper and for less. It was also on the small side. If you're looking for a great burger experience don't come here. I wouldn't bother with it again. Chips were good though.

I ordered 5 cheese burgers and all medium well. I was very disappointed after spending all that money to find not one burger was cooked to what I've ordered. The flavour was there but unfortunately the patties were just very dry and over cooked. It has been very inconsistent the few times I have ordered here, I really hope you can fix this as you do the best burgers in Dublin.

Great burger as always. Unfortunately the service staff was quite inexperienced. Not only did she take the order wrong (orded double cheeseburger and got a single) but also didn't have a clue about the beers: I ordered a Whiplash Rollover as advertised but got a Whiplash Body Riddle. When I gave her feedback about this she first of all didn't understand the difference (one is an IPA the other one a Pale Ale) and excused herself with 'I am new and just serve customers; I cannot change the board, the restaurant would have to'... Yes, seriously? You are part of the restaurant so at least pass on my feedback... Bunsen - please train your staff in basic customer service

I have been a fan of Bunsen for years and has always advocated for your burgers. However, recently I've realized a big inconsistency with the quality of your burgers. The recipe and taste is still top notch, but the paddies are often overcooked, rendering them dry despite me ordering them to be cooked medium well. Sorely disappointed.

By far the best burger in Dublin. If you're having a crappy day and you're looking for comfort food, Bunsen is the place to go. If you're visiting Dublin and looking for a quick, good and affordable place to eat, Bunsen is the place to go. I've been to Bunsen several times and to their different branches, and so far, it has never disappoint. I order a medium cooked double pattie cheeseburger and it is the juiciest, most delicious, most flavourful burger I've ever had. Their sweet potato fries are really good as well. They only serve burgers but they make it really well! Bunsen burgers became the standard of how good a burger is for us - everytime we travel and try a burger from a different country or city, Bunsen has become the baseline and so far, it hasn't been beaten yet! My only complaint is that at busy times, waiting times can be long, which can be over an hour. They don't take reservations. Although they've opened a few branches around Dublin which is accommodating to the demand. Thank you for opening an amazing burger restaurant in Dublin.

Burgers - only a few ways but each way is perfect. Hamburger or Cheeseburger - double or single. Those are your options ! 3 types of fries - shoe string are my favourites. The burgers have the perfect balance of meat patty and all ingredients and sauces. So good! Not vegan friendly - but will do a burger without the patty - basically a cheese toastie for vegetarians!

Really wanted to like this place and have had highhopes for it.. but this is the third time I've been back in a couple of years and I'm not a fan. Bunsen is sometimes rated as the best burgers in Dublin by a few different sources, but difficult to see why, the menu is limited (although being printed on a business card is supposed to be cool). The burgers taste okay at best, and choosing how it should be cooked is a little strange with a minced burger, I've tried the chefs preferred option, I found this easy to pink and soggy. Tried medium well done and this was burnt all over with the edges gone hard and tried medium too but also found this overcooked. As for the sides the sweet potato and skinny fries are great.. milkshakes are also hit & miss, the chocolate is a little watery or weak and strawberry is far to sweet for me. The service was great though. Staff were very quick to get us sitting last time we went and when there was a delay in getting our drinks out to us the knocked it off the bill without asking which is why this place gets 3 stars instead of 2... If you want a good burger in Ranelagh theres a Wowburger at the end of the same street, and although the place looks a little less funky the food is a lot better

Have been going here for several years now. One of my favourite burger spots in Dublin. Definitely try it if you haven’t before. Staff are friendly, menu is small and fits on a business card so there’s no pressure in choosing. The meat itself is very tasty and the burgers are very worth the price. I had a gluten-free free bun last time I was in Ranelagh. I have Coeliac disease, and the gluten-free bun available is really dry and tasteless. Have you tried the “Promise Gluten-free” brand? It’s amazing, taste as good as your regular bun. I’m just saying because your current gf bun was a downer, and your meat is so good! Hope you take this into consideration!

I think the appeal of Bunsen has waned a little over the years. It's still a great product, the staff are generally nice and I enjoy going there, but it's pricier than Wowburger and I question the need to pay more for a burger of the same quality. When both products are so simple and so similar, I'm only going to go for the cheaper one. I appreciate that the menu at Bunsen is simple and I'm sure they have their reasons for that but I'm kind of bored. Still good though, as I said before. I'd still recommend it

Bunsen is unique in that it keeps its menu simple. Burger or Cheeseburger, that's it. You can get double the beef and a limited account of toppings. The burgers are so good though and worth a visit. You can get skinny or chunky fries which are tasty. One small issue is that they don't have bacon but it's only trivial. Like most burger joints the prices are around the same but I think it's worth it. Highly recommended.

Really disappointing compared to the other Bunsens which are all 5 star. Burgers aren't quite as good and the staff are a bit rude doing things like dropping the bill to your table while you're still eating, or leaving you waiting to be seated when they're not doing anything else. Been to the other locations dozens of times and never had that happen but seems to be the norm here.

This Bunsen was brand new when I visited and I was not overly impressed. It felt unfinished and I didn't feel well the day after. The Bunsen on Wexford street has always been consistently good serving what is defiantly the best burger in the city if you consider only the meat pattie the burger. Choices are very limited. Unfortunately, we felt this newly opened branch missed out on the little details and these make all the difference in star quality. On indication from the website, Myself and husband didn't book ahead and didn't call ahead for collection) as their didn't seem to be the option!). When we arrived the place seemed very dark, little lighting and full but not many people sitting. We asked if there was a takeaway option which we were told there was but we'd have to wait 20 mins and there was no where to wait so we stood outside for 20 mins cause inside had minimal room for standing too. We arrived home with the food and cutting the long story short we had our first bite of the Burger we'd waited for which was OK. I ate mine as I was starving but my husband pointed out he wasn't feeling well which lead him to only eating have the Burger. We both felt the amount of greese in our burger wrappers was not healthy, that both of our meat in the bun fell apart and didn't look like much care had been put into appearance. The bag has the address of the bunsen in St Anne's Street, no indication was given as to which burger was cooked which way or which one had no mayo. This lead to me eating one I hadn't ordered! We agreed that the little details made a big impression and we wont be rushing to run back.

Probably the best burger chain in dublin. Great quality of meat, good fries and a nice athmosphere. Delivery service is great as well! 10/10 definitely worth a visit.

Definitely the best burger in the country. Been here so many times and never disappoints. Thick and juicy patties cooked to your suit with cheese on a brioche bun. Sweet potato fries are also cooked to perfection.
