Dublin’s best burger, served with a lovely non alcoholic beer and sweet potato fries! Bunsen is so consistently reliable whenever a burger is on the cards!
C. D.
Just like most places in that part od Dublin, the food is bit iverprices, the beer comes in smal cans and it all tastes ok. Nothing mind blowing, it still take the taste of 5guys over their burger. However I recommend to pop in and taste that Pale Ale from Whiplash brewery. So smooth, delicate and refreshing 👌🏻. Place as outside bit, ground floor and 1st floor seating areas, just another l gentrified eatery perfect for hipsters and tourists.

Great food, it was delicious!
Fries were hot and fresh, burger was juicy (the beef patty was medium rare).
Good service.
I recommend.

Loved the sweet potato fries- a must try for sure! Burger was delicious, but not the best I've had. Service was outstanding. Overall, good experience.
K. G.
Absolutely the best hamburger in town hands down. Not for vegetatarians, as they only have cheeseburgers and hamburgers. The meat is amazing and good choice of potatoes as well. If you order to go, I suggest ordering during the week and avoid weekends. The price is good, maybe the beer is a little expensive.

Pretty tasty, fast-food style burgers. I wouldn’t quite call it a “craft-burger” but admittedly they are satisfyingly tasty. I tried the sweet potato chips but was disappointed. Expect queues during peak times. Would I go again - yes. But I’d like to try out some other burger joints to see what else is available in Dublin.

Delicious burgers! My fiance and I had a few different burgers while in Dublin. We're from America and didn't have the greatest experiences elsewhere but Bunsens are very good. Those fries too are perfect.
C. Z.
The best burger in Dublin. Order medium or even less cooked to get all the juice flowing. Shoestring fries and sweet potato fries are really good. The restaurants are mostly busy so expect waiting times. “Hip” staff and fast service. They also bring the bill ASAP without being asked, fast food for sure.
E. S.
So this is what a real hamburger tastes like... AMAZING. Great quality meat, good fries, and nice drink selection. Wish they had one near me. Best burger.
D. C.
Two lost souls wandered in here on a frigid Wednesday night. We were delighted to encounter the most excellent service in both of our memories. The whole experience was as fun(sen)😉 as anything in Dublin. Special shout out to our delightful server Kate. You go girl!

Probably the best hamburger chain in Ireland. The beef patties are big, juicy and cooked to order. The buns are amazing and an underrated part of the meal. The skinny fries are the best of the three kinds although sweet potato are close and hand cut are not far behind. Chilled bottled beer is the perfect pairing for a big double burger.
P. O.
This place is great, reasonably priced food that tastes delicious, which always come in a good portion size, milkshakes are very tasty and would recommend. The staff are friendly and know when to come over to help. The only thing that I would like is that they had barbecue sauce available, it doesn't really matter but if they did get it, that would be cool!
K. M.
Very good burgers of the fast food variety. In particular I think the beef and the bun are very nice (I'm guessing the bun is somthered in butter). I also like that the portions aren't overly huge. I feel like a lot of places are trying to show off with huge burgers stacked up super high, which in my case usually ends up in the bin. The regular burger with chips was a big feed for a regular person and for someone with a bigger appetite there is always the double burger. All that being said - no burger can be "the best burger in town" if it has no bacon. Period. Would have to vote for Five Guys as best on that basis.
N. N.
They never brought my milkshake although we reminded them twice which was very disappointing and overall it was hard to catch their attention to get bill/pay. Burgers are decent (finally nicely salted meat, although I'd love more veggies) and sweet potato fries were good.
Q.
The best burger you’ll ever have period.
Ok so there’s one thing and one thing only on this menu and it’s this steak grade quality burger sandwiched in between two perfect buns and covered with a limited list of classical toppings.
You seriously can’t go wrong with it they have one thing in the menu and they perfected it.
I can’t recommend it enough.
If an alien race were to visit earth and ask what a burger is I’d give them this
Fried are ok but of a let down
Chocolate milkshake on point
H. A.
Highly recommended if you are around this location!
I had a cheese burger and a strawberry smoothies. Both were excellent! The cook on the meat patty was perfect and the burger wasn't dry.
Service was also on point and my order was taken very rapidly (but I was there around 3pm for a late lunch). There was no wait for a table that day.
A. M.
Possibly the best 🍔🍟 ever!! The menu is so simple yet deliciously satisfying!! If I am ever in a mood for a burger, I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Bunsen! Soft fluffy Amish dinner roll 😍, super juicy patty (I like it medium well), gooey cheese, and fresh toppings (pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato). It’s the perfect combo really!!!! I love their shoestring fries. I prefer these over hand cut because they are crunchier 😄 Sometimes I go for the sweet potato fries....really yummy too!
It’s always pretty busy during peak meal times. Service is very efficient. Your burger will be served on your table 10-15 mins after you order.

If you're looking for an honest to goodness burger with no complications, Bunsen is the place to go. The simplicity of their menu is the major draw. For burger enthusiasts, or even for someone who feels they've never truly had a good burger I highly recommend Bunsen. Whichever burger you choose, definitely get it only done medium! And their shoestring fries are some of the best around too. Also the staff are absolutely lovely, always welcoming and helpful!
S. G.
Tasty! The fries are excellent and the price is just right. It would be 5 stars if they'd actually cook medium as medium. They grind their own beef in the back so it's super high quality -- but generally err on the side of overcooking the patties. Despite a my last burger being a bit overdone... I'll be back!
C. T.
I can't argue about the quality of the food but the place they made us sit was next to cashier and near to the kitchen. The calm nice music in the place was combined with some unnervingly loud music and the constant alarm noises. In ten minutes, it caused a headache.
b. d.
The hamburger was superb. The interiors are not too special but if u are looking for a quick lunch great place
A. M. R.
Really good! The menu is short, but everything was awesome. My sweet potatoes were the best side for my cheeseburger 😋😋. Yummy, and the waitress very kind with us.
They have a queue where they add you, and text you once your table is ready, so you can go somewhere to continue shopping in the meantime without any problem, very good idea!
A. W.
Great place to go with your kids! Really nice service. Put your mobile number down to get a text when your table is ready. Super yummy burgers, and you can opt out of the bun. Strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla milkshakes are available. Sodas are also available plus wine and bottles beer (none on tap). Fries are cooked in veg oil and frylite oil.
A. M.
We saw a few Bunsen Burger places in Dublin, but chose this one as it was still near a few pubs, but not in the busy Temple Bar area.
Menu was fairly simple, they had it printed on one side of a business card! I must point out that there is no bacon option, just burger or cheeseburger. While this was disappointing to learn when ordering, the actual burger wasn't left wanting due to lack of bacon.
Burger was fantastic, cooked really well and with enough added ingredients and a quality bun to give a wonderful flavour. Fries were good and selection of beer was good too.
R. P.
Personally, I believe Bunsen do the best burgers in Ireland. Hands down.
Their menu may be limited, but I love that they do one thing - and they do it well. 💪🏻 🍔
Unreal value for money too. You’d have your lunch/dinner all sorted for a mere tenner with a cheeseburger and shoestring fries without a bother! Big love for Bunsen.
R. B. O.
It’s a very nice place with a cool concept: the whole menu fits in a business card! It’s basically a burger place but they are quite happy to accommodate for any food restrictions you might have. Asking for Gluten Free bread was super easy and they even warned for other ingredients which have Gluten, in case I would eat them by mistake.
A meal will cost around €12 which is lower than the average in Dublin. It’s also quite easy to get a table for lunch on a Saturday, which was great. I recommend it for a quick bite!
S. U.
I'm not much of a burger lover, but Bunsen has changed me for life! They have a limited menu and the burgers are just beautiful 😍 Do try the shoestring fries!
N. M.
If you are not familiar with bunsen franchise, they rely on very simple menu presented on a card. I went to this newly opened branch for lunch on a weekday. Ordered the cheese burger (medium) with side of sweet potato fries. They are pretty quick and burger was cooked well, although bit over prized for their size. Staff are friendly. It is a good spot for a quick burger.
P. K.
Great staff, great location and can accommodate to most picky eaters. Delicious burgers.
D. M.
Hands down the best burger/Beef I have ever had. Staff are all friendly and on the ball aswell. Favourite place to eat.
J. T.
The only place I went to twice in my week trip!
The beef is amazing here and the fries/chips are amazing as well.
Definitely worth 5 stars!
M. H.
Delicious, thick burger. Nothing overly fancy, but good value and tasty food. Also, they actually cooked it medium (pink in the middle) like I asked.
S. H.
Amazing burgers. Simple menu. Rivals any other burger place - anywhere. So tasty. They keep it simple. Perfect.
L. C.
Absolutely tasty hamburgers, a simple and easy way to enjoy a burger, and the waiter was super nice, I really really recommend it.
d.
Possibly the best burgers in town? Minus one star because 9 euros for a cheeseburger is a bit overpriced
W. C.
Bunsen it's definitely a must visit restaurant in Dublin, staff is really friendly and helpful, food comes really fast and most importantly taste amazing. Other things I liked was the menu it's simple so won't take much time to decide and even though there's usually a wait time it takes less time than estimate so I recommend to call in advance and ask for the wait time
A. L.
Beautiful Burger as always. Top marks 👍🙂
G. B. (.
Staff were nice, food was outstanding. Only complaint I have is the lack of space to eat your food. Those tables are tiny
J. S.
Really tasty burger.
Meat was excellent and well cooked.
Burger was put together well and didn't fall apart through eating.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
B. R.
Great place to eat. By far the best burger I have ever had in my life. Friendly staff and cool environment.
P. S.
Excellent as always. Simple food made delicious.
There is always a wait time so if you have something to do sign up at the door go off and do what you need to do and you will get a text when your table is ready.
J. S.
Amazing burgers, but much too long of a wait after ordering
C. G.
Pretty delicious burger, however the bun was way to big for the burger and they didn't offer grilled onions. Shoestring fries are the way to go! :)
E. O.
Well is a ok burger. No way was the best one. Could be better for the price and the milkshake very small as well.
D. M.
Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Fries really tasty too.
S. B.
No question that this is the best burger I've ever had!! I got the double cheeseburger and fries. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. The menu had limited options... i.e burger chips and a drink. Thats what this place is, a great burger restaurant. I would highly recommend it. Servers were friendly and service was really fast.
J. D.
Quite greasy and surprisingly big burgers that are a bit silly when stacked. Chips too salty but I am typically not as into salty chips so take that with a grain of ... salt.
L. M.
Enjoyed the burger but the patty was slightly dry . Expectations of this being the best burger in Dublin unfortunately not met.
R. B.
Good burgers but I can't understand the hype about Bensen. Also the staff didn't care about our order.
E. T.
Quite good hamburgers with delicious sweet potato fries. The choice is very limited but with a superb quality.
The service is fast.
The restaurant is very cozy and warming however is it necessary a better staff training. Not really well organized in the welcoming and not so friendly.
T. Z.
Service could be improved. Very good burgers and fries.
K. M.
This is the best burger place I town!!!! There are only a burger and cheeseburger and 3 types of fries on the menu but the burgers are great quality and very tasty. The handcut and shoestring fries are great too. This place is always very busy and you usually have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for a table but it's well worth the wait and service is usually quick. They have their own brewed beer too which is nice!
P. J.
Great burgers. Had a double cheeseburger with fries and was really full.
B. O.
Delish, as always. And the staff so friendly when they can only have 4 tables outside with the new restrictions.
B. D. C.
According to my boyfriend the burger itself was great and tasteful, although the portion itself wasn't too big. I didn't eat, although they had Gluten-free bun, there was no option for veggie. The staff was a bit careless, weren't bothered to give a smile at least. The music is so loud, that you can't even have a conversation whilst you wait to your food to arrive. Def not my favourite place, not too much difference between them and a McDonald's, only their prices are high compared to the service that you get.
G. V.
Best burger ever! The meat is so juicy really enjoyed it! Great staff, very friendly had to return a couple o times more just to enjoy the great burger again and again, the price is usually around 10€-13€ per meal witch is kinda great for the top quality. In regards to the service it’s usually very fast. The menu comes in shape of a business card again great for sharing with friends and family. If you enjoy burgers this is really a must try.
N. N.
Good burger, friendly staff, liked the simplicity of the menu. Small and cosy place.
K. O.
It is the best burger I've ever had in my life. Not exaggerating in any heat I swear. Just be weary that there are a couple of Bunsen burgers around this area in case you are meeting up with friends or family. I learned that the hard way.
S. D.
Great burgers, although could be a little bit bigger. When ordered with fries, the whole meal size if fine.
One time waitress forgot about drinks we ordered - when we reminded her, we were told that they will be on the house (and they arrived very quickly after)!
d. m.
Very well priced for what you get. Menu is a small business card - simple, down to basics ingredients and toppings burgers. A choice in the meat cook time available nevertheless, indicating good quality beef.
D. E. F.
My family and I are visiting in Ireland for vacation, and we chose this joint by place. BEST BURGER EVER. I’ve always been a fan of burgers and I eat a lot of them, but nothing will ever compare to this. I ate it in a minute & I want another one. 100% worth the wait. I’ll miss this in America!
A. B.
Absolutely the best burger in Dublin. However, hard to get a table. It often happens you have to wait for a 30+ minutes. In case you are not too hungry, definitely worth waiting.
Tip - try their sweet potato fries and also one of the milkshakes. It's really amazing.
A. F.
Just be aware that around dinner time there will be a wait and the larger the group the longer the wait. There is beautiful seating outside and if you're worried about it being cold don't worry there's heaters which make it feel nice and toasty! I got an enourmous burger- which was delicious- and shoestring fries plus a milkshake for around 14 euro. The service was friendly and they seated people very quickly. All around an excellent experience!
P. R.
The nicest burgers I have ever had and likely ever will have.
Their chips are terrible though. No idea how they can make something as plain as a burger taste so unbelievable but somehow manage to make chips, probably one of the easiest things to cook in a restaurant, taste so bad.
I still keep coming back for the burger though as it is really that good, so they're getting 5 stars.
j. w.
Delicious burgers and a simple, basic menu. Definitely a must do while visiting Dublin.
P. G.
Excellent burger, super simple menu. Best sweet potatoes ever
K. C.
Best Burgers I have tasted yet!
A. M.
Service is decent, a bit slow sometimes, and be aware that wait for a seat is the norm. But still they deserve 5 stars simply because they do the best burger, it's the gold standard for burgers, no bloody stick or fancy conditions that are good only to try to excuse the higher price or to make it fancier just for the sake of it. It's a simple burger, and it's the best.
R. L. R.
One of the best Burgers in Dublin. The menu is simple, properly made Burgers.
J. D.
The best burgers in Dublin in my view. They have such a simple menu but it is delicious. Good value and the burgers are not like the skyscrapers you find in other gourmet burger joints where the add ons mask the burger. The burger is the star here. Must go place if you like beef burgers
Q. K.
This used to be undoubtedly the best burger in Dublin. Unfortunately as they have grown the quality control has taken a nose dive. This is still a good burger but a far cry from its former glory.
If you go at a busy time you are going to be waiting for hours and sadly they don’t take reservations.
C. C.
Arguably, the best burger in Dublin. Not denying there other contenders, not denying that these are now (recent price-jumps) so over-priced as to be verging on offensive, not even denying the staff lean more hipster and cold than warm and professional.
But, these burgers do all I ask of a burger. The brioche is perfect; the toppings, curated beautifully. The meat, when medium (rarest they do these days) is juicy and tender. I simply cannot fault these burgers. Even the chips are great (sweet potato fries usually served far too salty btw)
The dilemma remains. A single double, or two singles?
J. M.
Delicious and simple food. Best burger in Dublin served by nice and friendly staff.
M. C.
It had been a while since I'd been to a Bunsen and my visit Friday did not disappoint. A group of 6 of us were lucky to get a table without a wait. We sat outside, which was warm enough with the heater. Only downside was half your face gets hot.
I got my go to of a cheeseburger with everything but mayo, skinny fries and a Coke. You can get your burger to order, ie medium, well done. Definitely my favorite burger place in Dublin. Simple, well executed, and delicious.
L. A.
These are the best burger ever ever tried
R. C.
Bunsen is simply the best burger you can get today in Dublin. Juicy meat, soft buns, and crisp vegetables combine to provide an exceptional taste experience. Pair this burger with some of their fabulous shoestring chips and their discerning beer selection , and you have a truly astounding experience for your taste buds.
R. S. (.
Still havnt found a better burger. Tried but failed so far but will keep trying. Until then this will be my number 1 choice doesn't really matter which branch tried them all and left extremely satisfied from each one. Perfectly cooked juicy burgers every time. Love the business card menu. Staff all friendly and very busy places sometimes you get lucky and get a seat straight away but expect a wait during busy times. But well worth the wait
M. A.
This is definitely the best burger place in Dublin. The menu is so simple it fits into a card. Don't let the sandwich size fool you. It's small, but quite filling. The fries come in decent amount as well.
M. O. S.
Bunsen is a fantastic place for burger lovers, they have it down to a science. There's a small menu but that's a good thing, you wouldn't want anything other than the massive burger they present you with. It's a small place with a great atmosphere, and you have the option to eat outside if you wish. You will not be hungry in the slightest after visiting
R. M.
Top 5 burger anywhere in the world. Small menu, good lager. Don’t miss it.
S. W.
My favorite burger place!
S. M.
My favourite burger in Dublin**. Straight and to the point. The shoestring fries are great, nice selection of booze.
Always good whether you eat in the restaurant or take out.
**not as suitable for a hangover as some burgers
P. W.
Best burger in Dublin, and I've tried pretty much all of them. Perfectly cooked beef, the right amount of toppings, and no pointless OTT additions. Simple, classic American style burgers. The chocolate milkshake is also delicious.
J. K.
Simple menu. Far from simple tastes. Exceedingly fantastic tasting cheeseburger. Balsamic fries also great. What really sets this place apart is the great food at a totally reasonable price. It gets busy and quite noisy at peak times and inside there isn't much room...you may also need to wait, but it is well worth it.
M. B.
Simple and efficient, choose between 2 burgers, and 3 kind of chips, quick and easy, very tasty. Last time I ate there I thought it was quite fat though.. But well, its a burger :)
J. C.
I loved the fact that people were laughing and having fun...I LOVED my cheeseburger and I had two milkshakes.... So so so good
E. D.
Dublin's best burger.
L. M.
The best burger I've ever had, without a doubt.
R. M.
Excellent queuing system, letting you come back when your table is ready rather than hanging around at the door. Service is quick and friendly. Best burgers I've ever had with gluten free options unlike most burger restaurants for those that need it. All at a very affordable price. Would highly recommend everyone check it out.
b. s.
Amazing food! Very simple menu, but extraordinarily well done! Burgers are cooked to how you ask (I like medium or medium-rare, and the burgers had just the right amount of pink). Service was very friendly and helpful.
G. S. B.
There has been a lot of grease coming out of the burger but that's probably because of the cheese. The burger has been pretty good and solid (except from the bun). So 4/5 because the grease has been a major factor. Service WA on point, well done lads!!
✌️
L. S.
Best burger in town. If you are visiting Dublin definitely try it out! There is usually a wait so do accommodate for that. In peak hours the wait can be up to an hour. But it's definitely worth it.
M. C.
After going on holidays to New York and having the "best burger in NYC for 4 years running" I couldn't help but consider how spoiled we are to have Bunsen in Ireland. This is my go to Bunsen and my favourite burger spot going. Couldn't recommend it any more highly.
A. N.
Excellent burger, the best in Dublin and I have returned many times. 4* due service issue; a take away burger being forgotten after I was repeatedly told it would be along in 5 / 10 mins when I guess the waitress never checked. I was then assured that I would not have to be re queued and not offered redress for the wait
j. p.
Probably the best burgers in Dublin
M. S.
Best Burger in town. What can I say, it's Bunsen. Fantastic Burgers. As a Bonus try the sweet potato fries, unreal.
A. B.
Best burger ever. And I loved the simplicity and the card size menu...
E. A. G.
Just great burgers! Menu is limited to beef burgers and sides but all about quality...and the quality is amazing! There is also table service and beers and wine avaialble too😍💗there is sometimes a little wait but they have a great set up and you can also do a bit of shopping around grafton st or got to Kehoe for a drink while you wait. Definitely worth the wait!
T. R.
The menu is nice and simplistic, and the restaurant gives off a minimalist vibe. I just wish that the money they save on extravagant furniture and fancy fixtures could be passed down to the menu price, considering a nearby restaurant offers a cheaper alternative with a side of fries. I was left waiting 45 minutes to order once, and the staff did not seem too fussed about us. I'd go back for the fact that the burgers are nice, but I wouldn't return simply for the atmosphere.
p. m.
Burger was okay.. the meat was nice and juicy but lack of choice in relation to toppings etc was a bit unexpected. Chips were okay. Could do with a wider choice but was okay for the price.. lots of people rave about this place but personally it is average due to the lack of choice.. a simple change would push it to 4 or 5 * easily.
J. F.
Great burgers. Well worth a visit
A. M.
The menu at Bunsen fits on a business card so you can always carry it around in your wallet as a memoire or to check the prices to see if you have enough for it. The food here is top notch. They have basically perfected their burgers and the ability to choose how you want your steak done puts this place above the rest.
R. K.
VERY minimalistic menu. Hope you like burgers :) The wait time was quite long and the seating (upstairs) wasn't very comfortable. However these guys do a good burger, and for a very competitive price by Dublin standards. Any of their alcohol offerings are almost on par with the cost of a burger.
C. C.
This is one of my favourite places to get a burger. I think the word simplicity is a good fit for Bunsen. The menu is super simple, they offer a good variety of burgers and potatoes. The time you have to wait for a table worth it.
A. K.
The fact there is nearly always a wait time speaks volumes for Bunsen's popularity. Staff are friendly and efficient and deal with a place that is constantly heaving.
Burgers themselves are excellent takes on the classic that use high quality meat and are cooked to your liking. Excellent after a few pints in neighboring pubs.
C. P.
The best burgers in Dublin....
The staff is very nice and the place is great. You need to be earlier than planned to eat in case there is a queue. They will send you a text when your table is about to be ready.
N.
Bunsen are undoubtedly the best burgers in Dublin! They have several locations around the city and there's usually a line (the wait is usually quick, they take your phone number and SMS when the table is free, so you can go for a walk while you wait). The menu is super simple - burger, double burger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, the types of fries - but super tasty! They recently added wines and beer to the menu too. Cheeseburger and fries are my fav combo, as double cheeseburger is already too big for me.
Service friendly and competent too :)
C. M.
Without a doubt some of the greatest burgers in Dublin. Their small menu fits on a business card but the food is perfect. Simple food done really well.
D. H.
Delicious burgers that are made fresh. You get quite a bit of meat with each burger. You also never have to think too hard about what to get since there's only 4 things on the menu. The meat is cooked the way you like it (rare, medium, etc.), which is great. It wasn't a flawless experience though: the wait was too long (although you can't blame the restaurant for having such high demand), and you can't customize your burgers much. It's 2018, and I expect to have choices at a celebrated burger joint. I'm not sure I could switch to pepperjack cheese, add advocado, mushroom, or jalepeno. I'm not even sure I can get extra onion...
D. S.
Simple but tasty menu, you can pick from a beef burger, double beef burger, cheese burger or double cheese burger with a variety of toppings. Fries options are hand cut, skinny or sweet potato. That's pretty much it. If you're ordering any double burger and fries, I hope you're hungry 😊 Definitely worth a visit but expect a short wait as its nearly always busy . Worth the wait though.
M. W.
Hipsters beware! This place is quite popular with other hipsters. For those of you who believe you're totally original and unique, you may in for a bit of a surprise eating here. Maybe consider bringing that OBEY t-shirt back before it looks more worn in than when you bought it. Nice burgers.
M. A.
Bunsen was amazing the burgers are real savory Irish beef really cool way to serve just water. Our server was Amy and the customer service was A-H-maaazing she was so nice and brought us food and made sure we were in and out of there and at the same time as letting us talk and relax. The shoestring fries as well as hand cut are crunchy and soft at the same time making them delicious. The customer service again was amazing and everywhere we looked we saw employers working to get people in and out and get their food to them on time. Even our greeter was kind and very quick to get us in as fast as possible. I love Bunsen and will probably see myself going in the future.
P.S. its located in a very large mall which is great because that gives you time to walk around if theres a long wait.
H. S.
Excellent burger, chips and milkshake. SOOOO much better than any other burger in Dublin.
Makes 5 Guys seem like salt poisoning and McD's seem like, ehm, McD's.
E. C.
I love this place, it is the perfect burger. The menu fits on a business card ; hamburger or cheeseburger single/double with pickle/onions/ketchup/mayo/mustard, side of skinny/home/sweet potato fries. The end!
No messing, no trendy bells and whistles. If I want a burger, I want a real one and this is where to get it
C. B.
great burgers. Meat is very good. They dont cook it rare so medium is fine. large portions. A double really is a double (with 2 steaks). Hand cut fries are very good. nice sweet potatoe fries also. soda cans are expensive.
V. M.
Visited here after being in the wexford street location a fee times previously. The food was the same but the experience very different. This place lacks the atmosphere that the other restaurant has.
The lighting is too bright. Bad music. Staff in no way as personable or friendly.
We had just finished our food, then the waitress brought the bill immediately without asking if we wanted anything else, more drinks etc. Bearing in mind it was still early in the evening and there were plenty of free tables for any new customers that may have come in. Bizarre. Super disappointing! Can't recommend this place as for us it is all about the whole experience. Not just the food.
o.
Amazing food. Very quick attending us. Tasha was amazing hostess
P. D.
Double cheeseburger was a little more then I could handle but it all tasted amazing. Would recommend getting the shoe string fries over the sweet potato. Also the chocolate milkshake is really tasty.
j. k.
Best burger I have ever had, seriously unbeatable, juicy and tasty cooked exactly how you like, a selection of craft beers, yummy milkshakes and amazing sweet potato fries, definitely the top burger place in all of Dublin
c. k.
Best burger in dublin! Not a lot of choice.. You get to choose between a hamburger, cheese burger or a double burger with selected toppings and fries. You can also get a milkshake if u want and that is it.
M. T.
Excellent value for money! If you're a student definitely go for the 11 euro deal. Delicious burgers and quite sizeable portions for the price.
E. M.
Super simple menu, burger was pretty amazing. Practically melts in your mouth. Pretty busy place though due to its small size and popularity. Pricing is Ok too
M. M.
Best burgers I have ever tried. They have a small menu (just few options and drinks) but it really worth it. Super recommended!
S. T.
Very tasty burger. Simple menu akin to places in the US like In-N-Out and Shake Shack however burger of a thicker restaurant style cooked to temp. Nice option for fries (chips) with three types - handcut, shoestring (most like fries in US joints) and sweet potatoe fries.
s.
One of the best cooked, simple cheese burgers I've had. Probably the best I've had in Ireland. If you want a quality burger cooked well make some time for a Bunsen
K. F.
Nice location and good environment, also reasonable prices. You can have a burger or cheeseburger (both can be simple or double). As toppings there is pickle, lettuce, tomato, mayo and ketchup. They have sweet potato fries, handcut or shoestring fries. As beverage you can have soda or milkshake. I had the chocolate shake and it is good. Nice option near Grafton Street.
S. P.
The taste of burgers are too good. Real Irish. They have only ham and beef. If they serve chicken burgers , it will be very nice.
T. C.
Awesome burgers. Great table notification system. Did gluten free buns. Had 2 double cheese burgers. Need to encourage people to keep the door shut when taking details.
I. S.
I kid you not, one of the best burgers we had in our whole UK/Ireland tour. Cheap, good beer options, great service. If you're looking for a burger, look no further.
A. M. M.
Simple, excellent tasty food. Not a major fan of not having wine glasses but the delicious burger makes up for it
A. A.
Best burger in Dublin. Incredible how they can make something so simple taste so good. Really shows the quality of the ingredients. A must go!
C. L.
Well made juicy burgers. Simple but with excellent quality ingredients. The regular fries aren't too interesting but I like the sweet potato fries. Staff are friendly.
H. A.
Probably the best burger I tried in Dublin so far, I don't think I'll find any other burger like this one. Staff is very friendly and the place has great atmosphere
n. L.
Burger was as good, if not better than anything I can get in Austin Texas. Well done to this restaurant. If they were trying to get the American cheeseburger right, they nailed it.
D. C.
The best burgers and sweet potato fries in Dublin for me! I had to knock off 1 star because the music is always way too loud - my friend and I were literally shouting to try and hear one another.
E. E.
it's ok. nothing special. the burger was tasty enough but the "hand cut" chips were a huge disappointment. 6 euro for a tiny beer is outrageously expensive..
J. W.
hands down the best burger I've ever tasted, such a simple but tasty creation. id definitely go back and highly recommend it to others. best in Dublin
w. m.
Best burger in town! They only do one thing and they do the right way.
Menu fits on a business card, just burgers, but the flavour and the taste are just amazing!
J. L.
Food is lovely with attentive staff, double burgers are very tall and thus a bit hard to eat. Tastes great with long wait when busy so make sure you've 45mins free at minimum
S. L.
The best burger you can have
J. M.
Probably the best burger I've had! Limited toppings but this is a good thing because the burger itself stands out! I had a cheeseburger with the sweet potato fries and couldn't finish it!
E. M.
Among the best burgers I've had. Confident short menu, burger or cheeseburger, which I like. Put your name on the list, go for a drink in Keogh's while you're waiting to be called, and enjoy it.
L.
Delicious. Benchmark for a good burger
S. F.
Latest in the Bunsen chain, get very busy, but you're able to put your name on a list and they'll text you when your table is ready. Great burgers, fries are enough for two people
G. B.
Love Bunsen. Great beef, really nice burgers. Only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is bacon! They definitely need bacon in their burgers.
김.
Juicy patty, nice chips. Recommended.
R. K.
Quite simply the greatest burger you'll ever eat. Always full though so make sure to allow extra time and go ask for a table 20-30 minutes before you're ready to eat.
F. M. M.
Best place for burgers in Dublin, in Ireland, and (I dare to say) in the world. Limited menu, endless joy! Five stars are not enough.
P. S.
Bunsen is THE place to get a nice hamburger or cheeseburger in Dublin, genuinely fantastic taste, and sure to their minimal menu (burgers & fries) they have mastered the craft. Have one of their nice craft beers with it, and the shoestring fries!
P. G.
Good burguers in a good atmosphere. The ingredients are fresh, so the burgers too. Limited menu allows to put the focus in the quality! Highly recommended
S. M.
Best burger I've ever had, and the quality never drops... But the poor staff are run off their feet! They could do with a few more servers per shift.
D. F.
The best burger I've ever had, the staff are great, but the place is crazy busy. I wouldn't look for a seat during lunch... Unless you're early.
이.
The quality of burger was great
C. S.
Bunsen is always the place to go for burgers. Fair price, delicious meat, good and quick service. I only wish they had something like a house sauce for the burgers or maybe an artisinal mayo? Well, this would be just a plus. Bunsen is perfect as it is!
C. G.
The food was good. For all the hype I don't know what I was expecting though. Simple menu, and I love the wait list will text you when your table is ready. Chocolate milkshake was amazing.
W. J.
One of the best Irish Beef burgers in town, try their handcut fries. Long wait on avg. 30m on non busy days, better book on phone.
l. b.
Best burger place in town. Service is not very professional. Often they don't make the burger according to level you like it done
K. B.
Love Bunsen every time. Only for they cook burgers can be ordered medium cooked, I am sold. Also very tasty and excellent service.
T. H.
This branch is still cooking the burgers a proper medium, haven't been able to get a nice pink burger in any of the other branches in ages. Could have done with a slight bit more seasoning though.
C. F.
Absolutely delicious fresh made Burger! The meat is a 3 cut and daily minced. I enjoyed it two times that trip! My personal recommendation.
J. A. S. S.
The best hamburgers in Dublin.
S. M.
Simple menu on a business card which is a cool idea. You can sit outside or inside which is great. The food itself is lovely and simple. More of a casual restaurant and perfect for lunch or dinner. Only negative was the music was loud at times
D. S.
This place is the best burger place I can walk to from my office in 10 minutes or under. This radius would include a lot more places if I just jogged for 10 mins instead but how could I jog if I'm eating a burger? Get off my back ok?
S. A.
The best burger in Dublin
F. O.
Great burgers! Very simple menu, but everything is cooked great. Reasonably priced for dublin too, so well worth a visit.
V. K.
This place is phenomenal. Simple menu, efficient service and it's absolutely delicious! The price point is completely reasonable and it's a far stretch from your typical "fast food" experience. I'm highly impressed, I work on Grafton Street and this will be a place I'll refer people to over and over now!
T. M.
Probably the best burger I've ever had. Fast service and nice atmosphere were also among the list of the many reasons why bunsen deserves 5 stars.
D. K.
Fantastic burgers. Plus a really chilled out atmosphere. Store is a little hidden, so it may be a little difficult to find.
The Bunsen chain is a locals favourite.
T. W.
Very nice burgers, limited non-alcoholic drinks menu. Overall highly recommended.
S. S.
Minimal choice, but that's even better - you don't have to spend hours deciding what to pick :D Burgers were good. Medium readiness for the meat is recommended.
T. L.
Juiciest burgers I've ever had! Super delicious.
Can highly recommend the sweet potatoes fries.
A. C.
"Meh" is how I would describe this place. I'd heard a lot about it but in fairness it's very overpriced for what is really just a very average burger. I wouldn't exactly be in a hurry to come back again. Not bad but not great either.
C. A. G. H.
Best burgers I'm Dublin. It's a must if you're a burger lover. Also, don't miss the sweet potato fries!!!
r. 2.
A good burger, but can't live up to the hype. You will find several other restaurant with a similar burger taste.
S. O.
Delicious burger with gorgeous skinny fries. I don't ever eat potato but those fries were to die for. Next time it'll be sweet potato I'll have (which I do eat) and I can't wait!
R. S.
Best burger in dublin! BUT that may have gotten over their heads and sometimes the treatment of the staffs towards a group of people or people who want take aways has not so good. They thought that such people were drunks!!!!
H. D. M.
Nice burgers and pretty OK prices. Only order the double burger though if you are really hungry, as it's quite huge (lot bigger than what one would expect).
W. B.
A bit of a waiting time because of how popular it is. The burger was good and done as asked (medium, well done etc), although not very hot. Can recommend
a. e.
Good burger and unusual for Ireland they ask how well would you like it cooked. Simple menu but your here for the burgers anyway :)
C. B.
Absolutely best burgers, chips, everything you will get at such a great price. Could not recommend Bunsen more
B. Ş.
Great hamburger in the city. I love the idea of having the simplest menu on the earth. If you dont like/are afraid of pigeons, grafton street bunsen is not a great idea for you as they eat your fries on the table.
R. B.
The best burger in Ireland and one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere and I lover burgers. Service sometimes is slow but it’s worth the wait.
G. F.
While this is the greatest burger in Dublin the service at this particular branch on South Ann Street wasn't great. Walked in originally and was told a 20 mins wait for a table. No big deal I gave them my phone number to SMS me when it was available. 30 mins later still no message so walked back, the girl says it will be another ten minutes.
She apologised which is fair enough. Eventually got seated upstairs. Very small and not much happening upstairs.
Sit waiting to order for ten minutes or longer. The girl behind the counter is polishing glasses and staring into oblivion. I walk over and ask can we order. She is startled and then says "yes". We sit for another five minutes before she comes over. The food arrived and was excellent as always. Definitely go to a different branch for a better experience.
S. O. R.
The burgers are amazing and you know exactly what you're going to get every time. Waiting times can be a bit much and you may have to leave your number and come back but worth the wait.
B. S.
Best burgers anywhere in the world
C. W.
The best burgers in Dublin hands down, can't beat them, only have a few options on the menu but everything is great!!
B. H.
Great text system when a table is available. Best burger I've ever had. Incredible. Very good staff, simple menu, and very affordable!
N. K.
My hopes for the much hyped Bunsen Burger shone bright as all the bunsen burners in the chemistry labs back in Christian Brothers Monkstown. A shame that these hopes were extinguished in a rain of h2O, with only a mediocre burger and freezer bag fries for comfort
A. S.
Cool place, great burgers!
A. X.
Very good burgers. No dips tho, only for a good pllain burger
p. h.
If you like good meat burgers this is the best. Great quality and volume. Cannot wait for my next visit to Dublin.
G. M.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere food tasty and plentiful. Good wine . Staff were all professional and friendly. We will return on our next trip to Dublin.
T. J. S.
Delicious burgers! You can really taste the quality of the meat with every bite at this place. Great service too.
r. m.
Food here is unbelievable for a great price. However the server we had acted as if everything bothered her. Made the experience much less enjoyable as I felt on edge. Also her outfit was not very appropriate for a place of work.
A. K.
Some people say it's the best burger place. To my taste, not quite, but it is a pretty great, pretty straightforward place. Service can sometimes be inattentive
E. C.
Really delicious burger! Simple, straightforward menu 😁 good place for a quick, easy, tasty bite.
M.
Good Burgers for a decent Price!
W. S. M.
It's like if Rick's had an upscale restaurant. Great burgers, very easy going place, simple menu. It's cheap and it's good, no wonder it's so popular! I'll be visiting regularly!
F. E.
Best burger I've had in a long time. Perfect for a quick stop and refuel while visiting this wonderful city.
T. R.
Bunsen is still decent, but while they offer Gluten Free, I do have the question how much they communicate that to the kitchen! Just be careful for cross contamination here.
M. S.
A basic burger done well. Choice is limited, but his keeps it quick. The staff are friendly and this place is often busy, so be prepared to wait.
B. F.
Best burger I have ever had in my life, and I am from the Angus county in Scotland!!
W. M.
OMG their food is amazing. The restaurant is very straight to the point, the only have burger and cheeseburger, and for sides sweet potatoes or chips and that's it! Delicious!!!
B.
5 star food. Never lets you down!!
T. L.
I went because of all the hype about the place, the burger is good, but not great, the one thing that they have going for them is that the burger is constantly good, but for my taste, not great.
D. C.
The best place to eat a burger in Dublin. They are incredible. I would recommend the double cheeseburger if you are hungry.
T. M.
Best burger in Dublin but bread is getting more and more soggy and the steak used to be a tiny bit more flavourful and juicy.
M. T. (.
I'm a big Bunsen fan and I go at least one every other week. Great concept, and amazing brugers! However, I prefer the other two locations (Temple Bar, and Wexford St) as they are more spacious and the wait has been shorter than here (up to 60+ minutes).
N. P.
Simply one of the best burgers I have had, fresh tasty and fast.
S. U.
Super friendly stuff, short waiting time for a place outside but worth every minute - the burgers are great, so are their fries :))
M. A.
Best burger i have ever had, staff is awesome well organized even thought its usually crowded.
F. M.
The most amazing burgers I've ever had. I don't even like burgers. But these are quality. Derren Brown sort of magic burgers.
A. P.
Still one of the best burgers in Dublin. Simple menue but great taste.
M. B.
If you want a burger, give this place a try. It was busy and really good burger, fries were ok.
F. A. F. L.
Insanly good hamburger and polite staff. It didn't take long before the food came and the many was very readable. All in all, a very good meal.
H. C. C.
The burgers are amazing! Really worth a visit!
The staff is helpful and nice!
The beer is pricey for the city.
P. M.
I love the simplicity of this place just burgers, fries and shakes/beer. Definitely the best burger in town nowhere even comes close for value either
i. m.
The best burger in Dublin, very simple and cool menu that doesn’t confuse you with many and foolish options.
J. T.
When you're in Dublin and you're looking for a SOLID burger... This is your place. Great flavor, ai please menu, and affordable!
P. T.
Simply the best burger in town. No fancy recipes, no exotic combinations, just the best meat and the few classic toppings.
N. P.
What else?! Awesome burgers and the menu is super not complicated! Good for a quick bite before going out or after work
H.
Delicious burgers, only tradition options of cheese, no cheese, single or double party. Sweet potato fries are expensive at 5 euro.
K. G.
Top quality burger , I have been looking forward to trying Bunsen for a while and it didn’t disappoint.
W. P.
Simple menu, lovely burgers!! Can be a bit of a wait at busy times but it's worth it.
t. a.
Amazing burger, well worth the visit. Staff were efficient and friendly.
S. H.
Very nice burgers, highly recommend if you are around South Anne St.
C. U.
The burger is so good and tasty. The service is great too. Highly recommanded.
A. O.
There has never been a time when I did not have a very good visit to Bunsen, been going to this place since we stumbled upon it in Camden Street - Truely the best burger out there.
A. M.
People rave about this place, but I found that the burgers taste pretty much like McDonald's burgers. They have nice sweet potato fries though
C. W.
I'm amazed how it does so well with no signage at all, can be busy, but it's the same great burgers , try the sweet potato fries. You're in and out very quick
R. M.
The best burgers ever. Excellent quality food and fabulous service.
D. M.
Best burger in Dublin by a long distance. A must visit. Fairly priced and good service
R. C.

A.
Yummiest burgers at Dublin. You can expect a constant crowd here due to a reason! Very well made and filled burgers
M. M.
Bunsen is still the best burger in town, even after 3 more openings. However, don't let the quality slide too much
S. S.
The burger was one of the best in town. However, I would please put some bacon as an option, that way would be awesome!!! :)
R. R.

The burgers are absolutely out of this world. They claim to have perfected the burger...and they most certainly have; no burger from any other place even comes close in comparison.
C. P.
Good burgers. Nothing special, but very well executed!

Disappointed.
B. C.
Basically a thicker, better Five Guys, as far as the burgers go, at least. We got lucky and got in without waiting.
J. L.
Great burgers (definitely one of the best in Dublin) in chilled atmosphere.
M. S.
Yum! .. as the bun soaks up the juices from the perfectly cooked burger.. up there with the best burgers.
