Reviews of Bunsen Temple Bar

Amazing place, very tasty meat and burger, very much resembling the ones from In-N-Out in America. The location and the prices are superb. If you're a fan of burgers you must definitely give this a try.
I. V.
It was actually very nice - the place, the menu, their service, how they pack their burgers. Just one thing I wish was better - the meat was a little salty. Other than that - close to perfection!
J. B.
When the menu fits on a business card, you know you’re about to have some good burgers.
Definitely in the top 5 burgers I’ve eaten on this planet. Went for the classic double cheese burger and was not disappointed at all! Patties perfectly cooked, and full of flavour, cheese delicious and the bun absolutely bang on. The fries, probably the best hand cut style fries I’ve had, crispy and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, I want to know what they seasoned them with because they were amazing!
Really cool burger joint on temple row, really cool interior and atmosphere and really friendly and polite staff!
If you’re by the river in Dublin, make sure you hit this place up!
J. K.
They have a small menu with just the basics, but that's definitely enough if you are looking for a quick burger with fries. The prices are fair as well, so it's a good place to go when you are looking for a slightly better fast food burger.
L. H.
Lovely and affordable place to eat in the heart of Dublin City.
Nice employees and good food.
Unfortunately I didn't make a photo of the food, but their menu is on their website and you can so download the allergy map to see what food you can and can't have.
V. P.
Very good burger and fries!
Not many choices. Highly recommended
D. B.
The menu is minimal but the few thing they do in this restaurant are amazing 🇮🇹
Really nice meat.
L. A.
This is the best burger in Dublin for sure! I think the best places of burgers are the ones that offer a short menu, because they know that is more than enough a good bread and a good beef. Is very crowded because everyone knows this is the best place, but still, you won’t wait for more than 15 min. Is very cheap! And the chips are amazing! Dear owner: if you are reading this, I think it would be a great idea if you offer a mix of the three types of fries! All of them are amazing!
A. A.
Very good burgers, simple ingredients, short menu, affordable. Can't go wrong.
Be mindful that the Irish like their meat very cooked so you might need to ask for the least cooked they do
S. A.
Personally my favorite burger place in town, haven't had a better burger in Dublin. The menu is very small and simple, they only do few things but they do them so well. The burgers are done to your own preference and I personally like the double cheeseburger. The ratio between the burger patty and the rest of the ingredients in the burger are perfect and then buns are immaculate. I also like ordering the sweet potato fries as they are soo good. They have the normal sodas and their own milkshakes. The place itself is really nice too and there's plenty of room. Overall this is an amazing burger place and I'd recommend it to everyone.
The only one reason I am not leaving 5 stars is the fact that we were 4 people who all wanted to pay with cards but they weren't able to split our bill 4 ways although it was a big enough of a value. So be aware when going.. Make sure to let them know you will be paying separately by card at the start!

Simple menu. Burgers and fries! Single or double meat, with cheese or without. Thin or thick cut fries and sweet potato fries. I had a single with cheese and tried all three fries. I seriously could not decide which I liked best. The burger had the thickest patty I have ever seen at a burger place and the bun n was grilled and delicious! . Advice: if you want it cooked all the way through order well well. I ordered medium well and it was still very pink in the middle. I had them cook it more and well still not done but it was so good I ate it anyway. I am not a burger person but this one made me reconsider. If i have one I almost never eat the bun. I ate the whole thing bun and all.
P. H.
Excellent food! I never get asked how I want my burger cooked anywhere else, and it was just as ordered, not a gimmick.Great staff too. Good craft beer brewed exclusively for Bunsen.
B. Z.
Visited Bunsen burger on a weekday lunch, wasn’t many people inside, nice timing.
They do not have many choices on the menu, but people are here for their burger right! So we ordered cheeseburgers with some fries. I definitely suggest you to get the sweet potato fries! It was so good!
We had our meat cooked medium and medium well. I had the one with medium cooked patty. The meat was so well cooked and juicy. Must try burger in Dublin.
M. I.
Great food raved about by my Irish mates. And it totally is. Dedicated to just burgers and fries, it's perfect.
Only gave 4 stars as I can compare to Shake Shack in terms of flavours. I have a different number one that beats both ;)
d. o.
It's straight to the point, not lot of variety of burgers, but it's very delicious, well priced
D. D.
Burger was just fantaestic, fries were right up to snuff. Friendly ppl and good music. One hell of a smackin food joint 😤
A. M.
I love this place and always stop by when I’m in Dublin. This place only does burgers and that commitment to a small menu is what makes these burgers do excellent! For my brothers and I the single patty was more than enough. The fries are definitely big enough to split. The chocolate and strawberry milkshakes are our favorite! We’ll be back!
M. A.
Bunsen’s main menu only has two options, with or without cheese and it’s because they know to make burgers right. You’ll find the portions to be generous and their dedication to making a fine beef paddy to be excellent. Alongside the food, you’ll find excellent table service. Because of how large Bunsen is I don’t think you’ll find yourself waiting for a seat unless it’s crazy peak hours.
L. L.
You can build the burguer you want! Simple choice but great! The cheeseburger and hand cut fries are perfect for a meal.
B. S.
Food was really good as always but service left a lot to be desired. Visited at opening time on Sunday. Ordered drinks including milk shake. Received drinks but no shake. Asked twice for it and told it would be a minute. Food arrived still no shake, told again 1 minute. 5 mins later, food almost gone, asked again and with a literal eye rill was told "we didn't have time to make it". I asked for a cake instead and with a tut and an eye rill was told the shake would be a minute. I said it was too late, got another eye roll and a can of coke. Instead of maybe apologising or offering the replacement coke as complimentary, I was handed the credit card machine and given explicit instructions on how to tip on the machine.
As I said, great food, bad attitude
P. M. R.
Best burgers in Dublin. And I've tried as many as I could, don't get tired of these. Way better when enjoyed on site, take away makes them not taste as good as just made.
F. S.
Just the best burger of Dublin, in front of the famous Temple Bar (it worth a visit too!). You cannot miss it! The place is not too big and you could wait a little bit to enter: you can just leave your number and the local will call you back!
S. A.
I was looking for the best burger in dublin on internet, and this place often was recommended as the best. The Burger was good..but not outstanding.. unfortunately when you are pointed often as the best, expectations are high, and i think they didn't live up to it. I comprare it with some burgers i had in Italy or Usa, and this is not as good as them. Also, for some reasons, they don't use bacon 🥺. Still, it was good and much better then five guys or another one i tried over there.
P. R.
Very nice but not the best I’ve ever had so four stars not five. Really good service, it’s very busy here so expect to join a line at lunchtime. Had the double cheeseburger with shoestring fries. Excellent array of condiments. Make sure to order your meat medium (the rarest they go). It is the nicest burger I’ve had in Dublin..
D. C.
Same as always unbelievable, all location and everything on the menu top notch. Definitely the best burger to be had anywhere well everywhere I've been so far
B. L.
Ordered a Bunsen Lager and a double cheeseburger. Meat was good, but as you can see, the burger is quite plain. You can choose your toppings, but not you kind of cheese (only American cheese). All in all, it’s a good place to get a cheap burger. If you want something more fancy, you might find something better a hundred meter from this place.
C. M.
Bunsen never fails - simple burgers with fantastic flavours. This place can be very busy so don’t be surprised to ask to wait around 45mins for a table. Four burgers on the menu, three types of fries - and that’s all you really need.
L.
Casual trendy burger joint with a no frills atmosphere and a relatively young crowd. Easy place to get seated quickly on a street that's usually packed. There are tons of tables and a bar area in the middle which is good if you're flying solo.
Menu is short and simple - burgers and fries. You can choose how well done you want your burger and pick the add-on ingredients, and there are 3 types of fries: hand-cut, shoestring, or sweet potato. Drink options are milkshakes, soda, beer or wine. Water is free.
I'm not a big burger person but it was tender and tasty. The fries were also quite good. All around, this is a good option for a quick meal, especially for travelers.
S. K.
BEST burgers in Dublin! Simple menu that fits a business card. No frills or fuss but jist perfection. I would go here again and again. For the burgers and the milkshakes as well. I dont know when I has such delicious milkshakes. Chocolate highly recommened! Giving it a 4 for the long wait in getting our order.
v. j.
Very nice burgerplace. Tasty burgers fries and everything. Lovely place i really recommend this place
S.
Fresh burgers Fresh, sweet potato fries and delicious milkshakes. Good value too

You'll read review after review stating Bunsen has hands down the best burger in Dublin, and every person saying that is 110% right. The one thing that needs to be said is they also have hands down the best fries in the city!
So it's been my second visit in the space of 3 days and that should speak volumes of the food quality in this place. Both times I went with the same burger, a good ol Hamburger cooked medium, which a treat since most other establishments hand you out burgers where someone asked it to be double well done! This placed delivers quality burgers the way you want to them! To accompany them in triumph is the fries which seem seasoned to perfection whether it be hand cut or shoestring.
I highly suggest they change their tag from "Straight Up Burgers" to "Straight Up Burgers & Fries" because they can claim their reigning champion in Dublin on both counts. This joint is a must visit for any burger fans around the country let alone city!
i.
In The Bunsen you can find one of the best burguers from Dublin. I tried the Double Cheesburguer with all the toppings and it was very tasty. The only thing I missed was that you can't order your meat medium-rare because the minimum is medium. The price is very good so anyone can enjoy a very good burguer. I will come back to The Bunsen for sure!
G. M.
Best burger I’ve had in ages anywhere and in Dublin ever. Strongly recommended. I will be back for sure!
J. r.
Best food we had in Dublin. Really nice price and quality. Great staff and attention. I have not a single complaint about the restaurant, it was an awesome experience and I look forward to come back to Dublin just to have another meal there. 10/10
C. M.
Just needed a cheeseburger and headed towards Temple Bar to see what I could find. Stopped here because it looked interesting. Small menu. Basically just burgers, fries & shakes. My burger was cool perfectly for me. Toppings were delicious. Shoestring fries also great! Very pleased & would eat here again.
E. C. M.
Gorgeous views, very delicious & good vibes. Burger wasn’t bad either
G. R. O.
Love the burgers and the fact that they take the COVID passport check seriously, using the app and checking ID. Doing their part in this. Well done.
A. V.
Hamburger restaurant offering limited choice. Tasty burgers.
N. B.
Wanted a Burger but a decent one. This place last pled popular and it wasn’t too expensive. Had a regular (well done) with hand cut fries and all the trimmings. Good burger but there were just too many chips for me. Service swift and polite. Seating a bit hard and space was limited but hey it is in the middle of the tourist centre. Toilets were clean.
J. 5.
Fast service. Amazing burgers. Amazing fries. No wonder it's made it to the TOP 100 BURGER RESTURANT IN THE WORLD. And you can even have a beer ! Best burger in Dublin.
B. C.
Simply the best burger in Dublin, nothing more, nothing less. Oh also the staff is real nice
R. H.
Straight up burgers as they say, with two main options of Cheeseburger or Hamburger with the option to go double for each. Excellent for those who seek a classic burger experience.
H.
Bunsen is definitely one of if not the best burger in town. There are 3 different locations in Dublin city center. Alright th temple bar location may be slight to very busy but service is fast, menu is simple and they serve variety of original beers too. Must try if you're visiting. You already know it if you live there.
k. k.
Truly delicious burgers. Good prices, great location
A. P.
Best burger in Dublin!
Double cheese burger, medium or medium rare cooked!
Delicious
T. H.
Bunsen used to be the best burger in town but I think the standards are slipping. It's pretty much impossible to get a medium burger, always comes well done! It's good apart from that, but if you offer medium it should come medium.
G. G. C.
Nice hamburgers with a very kind service. The best of the place is that when the place is packed, you can book a table and when it is ready the notify you can with an SMS. Even you can see online your position in the queue of people waiting. Recommended
C. B.
One of the best places to eat a burger!
T. S.
Nice burgers. The difference between a regular and double cheeseburger is ver reasonable so choose the double if you like it meaty!
M. M.
Amazing burgers and chips
A. D.
Amazing food and staff looking forward for the next one🍔🍔🍔
D. O.
Best burgers in Dublin!!! Get the double cheese burger and you won't regret it. Burgers are always juicy and the menu can't confuse you...
S. C.
If you’re an American and traveling in Dublin and wanting comfort food, come here. They don’t have a wide selection, but it is delicious. The reviews and pictures speak for themselves.
H. K.
The best burger we tasted in dublin.
Very recommended
p. r.
Bunsen just does one thing, but they do it best! One of the best burgers I have ever had. They could use a few more toilets though.
A. M.
Turned up at 8pm on a busy Saturday, in summer, in Temple Bar and we only had to wait 20 mins at an adjoining pub. They txt'd us when our table was ready and the tiny burger/fries/drink menu was cute. Food was simple and perfect. Better than the good reviews we had heard.
J. G.
5 star rating but order at your own risk. Their burgers will ruin all non-bunsen burgers for you in the future- its that good. Seriously.
Y. D.
The food is amazing! We can taste the quality of the products!
D. s. (. 이.
Maybe I had high hopes for here, so it was mediocre. But still, objectively decent and nice burger, I would say. Good for tourists....
C. B.
Simple and super tasty. Opted for cheeseburger with all the trimmings and shoestring fries. Good food, fast service. Can't fault it. Don't change a thing!
E. Z.
The burgers were nothing special - I’d say on average - but the employees were very kind :)
E. C.
Extremely simple menu. Great cheese burger! Average chips. Friendly staff.
S. K.
Excellent sweet potatoe fries. However, the hamburger itself wasn't amazing. Good, but a bit dry to my liking.
M. G.
Amazing burgers, but take a double if you’re hungry.
C. G.
These hamburgers are hands down delicious!!!! I loved the menu, and it's a great place to people watch.
S. M.
One of the best burgers that I have ever had. Slightly expensive but worth a try nonetheless!
M. W.
Best burger (now chain) in Dublin. Pic doesn't do it justice. Super simple menu, always left satisfied.
J. L. R. M.
One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten, fries are delicious too, and they have a good variety of beer.
R. F. D.
One of the best burgers of Ireland (or of the world????) Simple, tasteful and speechless! Love that place ❣️
M. B. e. S.
My favourite burger in Dublin. Perfect combination of toppings, balanced and fresh. Can get really busy though, too close to Temple Bar.
D. J.
Best burger I’ve ever had. Really recomendable. 10-12€ per person.
A. M.
Amazing burger, very delicious, worth to try it
S. B.
Amazing burgers that actually taste like meat. No fuss about the seasoning of the meat like most places in Dublin. Also a fair amount of chips. Leaves you satisfied if not hungry for more. Despite their small menu, its really worth trying.
R. Z.
Even if it’s a chain, it’s worth to go there because it tastes amazing and the staff is very nice ! No unnecessary waiting because they have a smart service that sends you a text. Enjoy 🧡
M. K.
This is my best hamburger in Dublin and the best sweet potatoes 🍔🥔🍔🥔🍔lovely
T. F.
If you’re looking for a great burger then this is your place! Tiny menu with great burgers and fries.
N. M.
Fantastic Burgers! This is by far the best burger place in Dublin. It’s juicy, a nice piece of meet with tasteful cheddar and perfect sauce.
A. S.
Simple menu, but very best burger.
T.
Best burger I've had in a *long* time... WARNING! A single burger will sate most appetites.. I struggled with the double (pic)
K. S.
An amazing homemade burger. Lovely place and music!!! Fair prices and very nice staff.
P. M.
The double cheeseburger is great and exactly as a good cheeseburger should be! My only comment is that they didn't want to make if rare 😊
F. V.
Burgers were great as always.
BUT.
I have to know what's the story with the 'eye of providence' on the bags man ;)
J. P.
Really good burger. Really basic menu that works. Freshly cooked. No draught beers. Would recommend as a good lunchtime snack.
J. O.
I usually get great milk shakes here, unfortunately the last two weren't really up to par. The burgers are great here, highly recommend them. A simple menu which is perfect. The staff can be very nice most of the time. They have beer too if you'd prefer. For me the double cheese burger is huge but my friends loved it. They have three types of fries/chips fat, shiny and sweet potato which in my opinion are the best. Toilets are clean, service is fast and it's probably the best burger in town and the price is great for what you get. They close earlier midweek so don't be left out. Enjoy!!!
Y. F.
Great food for not too expensive prices, very friendly staff and good music as well! :D
L. D.
Proper tasty burger, no messing about
L. B.
Bunsen has a minimalist approach with their burgers and fries which makes it easier to deliver a higher quality end product every single time. It's probably the tastier burger in town and they don't even have bacon.
C. O. C.
Best burger in dublin at a decent price
R. I.
Good food, great and fast service. Clean and tidy, amazing location
P. B.
Is this the best burger in Dublin? I think so, but don't take my word, try it for yourself. A really simple menu makes deciding easy and everything is good, so you won't be disappointed. A must for burger lovers.
A.
Kind service & simple tasty burgers. No fuss, just a bit of a wait.
T. V. d. W.
Prices went up quite a lot but still one of the best burgers in Dublin for sure. The simplicity is really helping them to deliver top quality... Just a few choices but what more do you need in a good burger place 🙂
C. B.
Pretty good, but in our opinion it didn't live up to the hype. Service was very courteous, but we ordered our burgers medium and they were served what seemed to be well done. Toppings were really basic to focus on the meat, which is great but in that situation I think you need to make sure you cook it properly otherwise it dries out. Definitely worth trying, and it certainly wasn't a bad burger... It just seemed like it was over-hyped. For the money we would rather go to Five Guys.
A. H.
Absolutely fantastic burgers & they offer beer to.
Love the menu aswell 👌
H. W.
Great burgers although service was surprisingly slow given so few things on the menu!
V. S.
Simple and really tasty burger-diner! I would say the prices are absolutely okay for the quality of the meat.
I actually went there for the gluten-free burger. They knew what celiac was and prepared it with care. It was delicious! 😬
The menu is really simple and I liked it.
J. A.
Another visit after a couple years and the quality still the same or better, Poloco is definitely on top of it!
C. M.
One of the best burger joints in town in my opinion. Great service and friendly staff. If you're in town and looking for a great burger this is you're place.
A. D.
Great staff, fast service and most importantly amazing Burger
S. S.
Great burger. Maybe a little slow but top quality.
J. B.
Food very nice. Staff not too friendly though
J. L.
Had a burger yesterday take away of course and it was the best burger I can remember.
The detail of precautions they are taking and care of wrapping is impressive. Good work guys! 👌
J. R.
Top class. Best Burgers in the city 👌
P. M.
This is a great place. It's got a great no nonsense menu that fits on a business card. Both the burger and fries are great. The fries (I ordered hand cut) are plenty crispy but also soft on the inside, especially the larger ones.
Unfortunately there's no beer on tap, but there's a good and unconventional (for Dublin) selection of cans and bottles. Is it blasphemous to say that the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was the best beer I had in Dublin (yes, I did do the Guinness tour)?
C. K.
By far the best Burger in Dublin! Definitely visit this place. The service is quick and friendly. You might wanna plan some time before getting a seat. You can conviently grab a pint Inna pub and receive a text when your table is ready :)
C. M.
Burger with good meat. Very simple menu.
M. A.
Great! Really simple menu (so small that it’s presented on a business card!) but the quality is fantastic. Beautifully cooked burger and fast friendly service. We were looking forward to trying Bunsen having read all the reviews and we weren’t disappointed! House beer is great too.
S. D.
Some of the best burgers in Dublin
j. g. r.
Great burgers; pity that they no longer make them rare.
M. G.
Cracking place for a burger.
Bunsen have spread out to open different restaurants around the city. I was wary of eating in this one in Temple Bar but the burger was superb as ever and the staff lovely to me. It's reasonably priced too. They keep the formula simple and works very well. Highly recommended.
W. F. M.
Amazing burgers that you can get done medium. prices are reasonable!
K. M.
Beautifull burger full of flavour.
T. O.
Some claim it to be the best burger in Dublin, I don’t know, why I do know is that it is a very strong contender.
Simple menu, simple design equals long waiting hours (circa 20 minutes), who would have guessed, especially here in temple bar
Staff are too busy to assess. They might seem unfriendly at times, I’d say it’s because they got about a million things going through their head on top of their own problems..
Burgers are lovely, juicy, succulent, top with some very nicely cut shoestring fries that go down well
Try it out, give this a thumbs up
D. B.
Good burger but over priced for what it is
S. B.
As a Californian, this is as close to in-n-out burger as you can get overseas. Small menu with simple and delicious food, and great service. This place is excellent for cheap, reliable eats and their shakes are the best I’ve found in Europe. I only wish they stayed open later.
Z. R.
Great burger, great price, great service
G. H.
Best burger in the country. FACT. End of.
I no longer get a burger anywhere else because I know it won't be as good as Bunsen so I'd only be disappointed.
If you haven't been, they've a limited menu - burger or double burger, with or without cheese, skinny or thick cut fries or sweet potatoes fries. With a selection of drinks, including milkshakes or a good range of beers. That's pretty much it. But it's perfect if that's what you're looking for cos you won't get better.
They've a few locations, all awesome.
i. s. l.
Good burgers if you want the classic ones
M. S.
THE best Burger in Dublin town. The quality of the beef that they use is second to none. A visit here is my favourite treat. The chips are savage. The service fast and friendly. Can't recommend enough. Top class!
R. B.
The best burgers ever. I think they give meaning to the saying "less is more". The menu is so small it fits on a business card, and that's a good thing. you can pick from 4 burgers - single, single with cheese, double and double with cheese. You can add some toppings as well, and also you don't have a lot to choose from, but that's just perfect, as it really let's the true hero to shine through. THE MEAT. Just go there if you can, and see for yourself.
F. N.
Nice and tasty burgger small straight forwad menu...
D. I.
One of the best burger places in Dublin. Very simple menu. Sometimes it might take a while to recieve your food when it's busy. So take that into account if you're already hungry :)
E. S.
Definitely one of the best burgers in Dublin. The menu fits on a business card. Burger single or double with or without cheese. One of three fries options and toppings in fine print. Just check the blackboard for wine and beer selection.
This is a busy place. Expect to wait about 10 minutes at the least for your burger. Not too bad. The burgers come out of the kitchen in batches.
The bigger problem is the time you spend waiting to be seated and then for your order taken. The place is always on the verge of being understaffed but not quite.
The presentation of the food is simple. Paper wrapping, plastic tray, no cutlery (unless you ask for, I guess)...But Bunsen iş that kind of place. No nonsense, bare essentials burger and fries experience.
So everything rests on the quality of the burger. And Bunsen delivers. Everytime I order a burger it is cooked an excellent medium. Seasoning is balanced, and meat juicy. Buns get a bit soggy with the toppings but I tolerate.
Double burgers are very unvieldy. Do not order unless you absolutely must have a double burger.
Considering its class, this is an easy 5 star
V. “. H.
If burgers are your thing, then this is the place for you. Although the main course options are very limited, the menu is literally the size of a business card, what you get is excellent , succulent and meaty, probably better than Shake Shack and Five guys. The burgers were definitely four star but I have docked a star because of the limited menu. Good value for money at €60 for four burgers with fries a couple of sodas and a couple of beers.
N. G. F.
This is one of my favorite place to eat hamburger in Dublin and in the world so far. There are only two hamburgers to choose from. It's always very busy, not surprised hehe they are great handmade. Try the sweet potatoes too, they are amazing! It's a must have if you visit Dublin.
d. k.
This place is similar to Five Guys in that it only offers your basic burger and fries. The food was pretty good but I don't think it really needs table service, they could get away with doing it takeaway style like Five Guys. Everything is gluten free even the fries. The only things that aren't are the regular buns and the vinegar, however they do offer gluten free buns which are soft and delicious.
M. K.
They have good burgers, the wait could be problematic. I kinda feel they recently changed ownership. Most of the waitresses are new and the prices have gone up by about 5 percent. Berger's are still good nonetheless, definitely better than their own Grafton branch.
O. M.
Bunsen essentially do one thing, but do it extremely well. Probably the best burger in Dublin. Ordering a medium results in a slight pinkness to the meat, which is perfect. Fries and chips are average enough, but they're not the reason to visit. From memory the cheeseburger cost €8.35.
Seating is at a premium for groups any larger than 2, so book in advance or be prepared to wait. They do have an automated waiting list, you'll get a text message when they can seat you, so a sneaky (and expensive) pint 10 metres away in The Temple Bar makes the wait easier.
T. W.
Great place! One has to wait often quite some time, however that's made easy. One can just give the phone number, leave the place again, and you will receive a text once the place is available. In the meantime, we went for a pint and enjoyed temple bar. All in all I recommend it when you want a burger in temple bar.
E. V.
It doesn't get any better than this when it comes to burgers in Dublin. The menu (the size of a business card) mainly offers a hamburger and a cheeseburger. Simple or double patty. And what happens when you only have 2 types of burgers in your restaurant? You master them. I love Bunsen. You can also add fries and a drink (soft, beer or milkshake) with that burger. Yum yum. Enjoy.
M. C.
If you want a classic burger with no fuss about it this is the place to go. Simple menu with only few options, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Prices are more than reasonable especially considering quality of the food and the location.
A. J.
I tried going to Bunsen twice in a week, once waiting for 45 minutes and the next getting seated immediately. The servers were polite, if not conversational, and the speed at which the food came out was fairly quick considering how busy they were. I imagine the place would be fairly difficult to access for a disabled person but I don't think it would be impossible for some.
The burgers are gorgeous. Juicy, tender, and accurately cooked to the level you order, I highly recommend them to you. Also, it's basically the only thing on the business-card-sized menu, so you won't really be able to get anything else if you eat here. I ate the chips/fries but heard from a friend that the sweet potato version is fantastic as well.

Tasty! The burgers are simple, the fries are just right. There's usually a long line, BUT they have a nice reservation process: get in, give them your phone and they will text you once they have a table available.
Highly recommended.
D. L.
Awesome medium burgers and great local beer! Loved the simplicity of the menu :)
E. C.
I can't say any more than that they serve the best burgers in Dublin... At busy times you will have to wait up to 20 minutes but it is very much worth it. The menu is not extensive but when the food is this good it really doesn't need to be.
B. G.
Hands down the best value for price you can get in regards to Burgers in Dublin. Straightforward menu - a burger and fries. Cheap prices. And yet one of the best burgers I ate anywhere in Europe so far. If you get a chance to visit it, do so!
R. C.
I would describe Bunsen as the best place to eat burgers in Ireland. I've visited them a few times and each time is the same excellent experience. Burger Taste 10/10, Value: 9/10 (Very Affordable) and Customer Service 10/10 Highly Recommended.
D. E. A.
Very simple and basic burgers. So if you're in the mood for some crazy experimental burger, this is not the place. The burgers they do have are however fantastic. Perfect texture/consistency and wonderful taste. Great fries as well
W. T.
Simplicity is the only perfect word to describe this place. And it's a simple in a good way. The burger is really good, maybe salty but good. Pity one has to wait so long to catch a table. But that's ok because they'll text you when it's time on the queue. It's very recommendable.
M. M.
Bunsen is simple and great. 10 item menu, good service and quality burgers. No bells or whistles, just good burgers. The skinny chips are great as well and the cost is very affordable. (Less than 10 for a cheeseburger)
k. q.
A small menu but what they do they do really well. I only wish they sold coffee also.
A. Š.
I am impressed by the business idea which hides in Bunsen. They have 5 things on their menu, no cutlery or dirty dishes involved. The restaurant is always full but it never takes more than 10 minutes of waiting for a table. Their burgers are probably the best that I have tried in Dublin. And I keep coming back for more :)
I. W.
Quite simply the best burgers in Dublin. The food menu is the size of a business card ...literally. Why you may ask? Because this place does one thing but does it really really well. Exceptional food. Will be back again for sure.
C. W.
Someone told us that they had THE best burgers so we popped in the day we arrived. It was very crowded and we had to wait about 20 min to get a table. It's a limited menu, but if you're looking for burgers and fries, this is the place. They were devoured quickly, but that might have just been the effects of being awake for almost 30 hrs. LOL It's right in Temple Bar so it's close to a multitude of pubs for an after-dinner pint.
M. V.
The best burgers in Dublin and probably the restaurant I visit the most often. The service could improve as sometimes they get the order wrong (and the menu is quite simple really) but they are very friendly. Really good overall. Super long wait especially on weekends but they have a very convenient way of handling the queue with a messaging app.
C. Q.
I've visited two Bunsen locations in Dublin, and this is the better of the two.
Service is quick and the burgers are tasty, but you'll struggle to be seated right away. There's normally up to a twenty-minute wait before a table becomes available, but the staff take your details and then send you a text when a table becomes free. This means you can have a wander around Temple Bar while you wait.
The food itself is always very tasty, especially the sweet potato fries!
It's no more expensive than other dining experiences in Temple Bar, or Dublin as a whole, but be prepared to spend quite a but here
J. D.
Never disappointed by this place, service is as quick as possible, food arrives within 15 mins. Nothing beats a Bunsen burger when you fancy a real burger. Staff are always lovely in all of their locations. Couldn't ask for more.
E. C.
Burgers might be the best in Dublin! However the sides nothing special, but we didn't get the sweet potato fries we ordered because of a mistake somewhere, instead we were given hand cut fries, which we didn't order. The burger was amazing and for the location you can't beat the price.
C. R.
Great burgers, really simple cooked to perfection.
Shockingly good value too.
Only minor issue was limited sides e.g. wings and toppings onion rings, bacon.
But for 'Straight Up Burgers' n fries,
Spot on!!
B. R.
Bunsen is definitely worth a visit if you are into burgers. I have always had to wait at least 20 minutes for a table. They have a mobile messaging system to inform when one's table is ready. The short menu is a business card which is left lying on the table, making it easy and quick to pick your order. Food comes out in roughly 10 minutes. The burgers are of a very descent size, and a lot tastier than the stuff you get in McDonald's/Burger King. If you go for the large burger, chips and a beer you'll spend roughly €19. I have been here several times and the food and service are consistently of good quality.
T. R.
The best burger in town, period. Succulent meat, perfect brioche bun and the exact right amount of toppings. Comes with delicious fries. Quick service and very laid back atmosphere. Couldn't live without a Bunsen burger
Á. M.
Best hamburger of Dublin and one of the best of my life. Great meat, sweet and soft home made buns and perfect size. High quality and low price and now they opened two new places (one in front of Temple bar). More than recommended
F. C.
Best hamburger ever
R. P.
One of the best places to go for burgers in Dublin
T. V. d. W.
Prices went up quite a lot but still one of the best burgers in Dublin for sure. The simplicity is really helping them to deliver top quality... Just a few choices but what more do you need in a good burger place 🙂
M. A.
Great! Really simple menu (so small that it’s presented on a business card!) but the quality is fantastic. Beautifully cooked burger and fast friendly service. We were looking forward to trying Bunsen having read all the reviews and we weren’t disappointed! House beer is great too.
n. s.
Awesome
D. R.
Good food I like the small menu makes choosing very easy. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.
R. B.
The best burgers ever. I think they give meaning to the saying "less is more". The menu is so small it fits on a business card, and that's a good thing. you can pick from 4 burgers - single, single with cheese, double and double with …
T. P.
What can I say, these burgers were so incredibly juicy and good. Very straightforward menu. Very reasonable prices and decent portion. Highly recommend!
S. B.
If you're looking for a simple but excellent burger and fries, look no further!!
Absolutely fantastically priced for temple bar it is a steal for what you get.
Highly recommend the double cheeseburger with everything and home cut fries. Mustard is also a must.
C. K.
By far the best Burger in Dublin! Definitely visit this place. The service is quick and friendly. You might wanna plan some time before getting a seat. You can conviently grab a pint Inna pub and receive a text when your table is ready :)
M. B.
Cheap place to eat great burgers 🔝
C. R.
Tasty burgers but slow service and limited choice reflect the rating. The restaurant was super busy but could have done with just one more member of staff working to bring out the food more efficiently - ours was stacked under two other tables food and had cold fries (which they quickly replaced). Worth going but make sure you do it on any day apart from the weekend!
N. S.
I tried this place during a short trip to Dublin. Initially, we were put on the waiting list, but after less than 10 minutes, we received a text message, telling us a table was ready for us! The burgers were definitely worth the wait. Just perfect for a quick meal!
N. H.
Good food for a reasonable price. Recommended for a quick meal. The sweet potato fries are great. Milkshakes are very good as well, made from real fruit. Beer was a bit pricey. The waiters were friendly and patient. Would visit this place again, if I'd return to Dublin.
D. A.
Dublin has far to many burger places, and it is probably Bunsen's fault. Bunsen will last the test of the time however because the food here is incredibly tasty. No nonsense, tiny menu, great beer and the worlds best burger. Not expensive. If they ask you to wait, then wait, you will be well rewarded.
J. M.
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend for lunch. The burgers and fries were fantastic, and they even had a very good gluten free bun option, which I appreciated. Great spot right next to The Temple Bar.
T. E.
Bunsen has become a stable in Dublin and whenever those eternal lists of good eats come up Bunsen is always there.
Simple menu, simple burgers but made to perfection. I always find myself coming back. This is a very simple 5 star for any burger lover.
J. L.
There are so many burger bars opening up now days, you gave to do a bit of research to find a GOOD patty, and Bunsen has them! The food is served on trays and wrapped up, like a old diner. Kinda pretentious and wasteful I guess but that really doesn't matter once you've got into the food. I had a simple cheese burger and fries, everything was cooked to perfection and not too expensive.
C. D.
Click and collect off the website works great. Best burgers and milkshakes in Dublin, hands down.
W.
Great burgers, excellent location but slow service. They seem understaffed with a chaotic unplanned system, the food is top notch as I have been a few times ordering all they offer. Ideal place to go with friends for a burger before going for a pint but don't expect a dining experience.
I do recommend you try and visit but hope they work out a better system, as it is supposed to be fast food after all.
R. S.
This might have been the best burger I've had on this side of the Atlantic. Easy to select from the menu: single or double, with or without cheese, one of three types of fries. It was quite a messy experience, maybe providing wet wipes to the tables would be a good idea.
T. H.
This is a next-level burger experience. The entire burger from bun to burger is selected, sourced and crafted with care and I can affirm it shows. I absolutely do not miss Bunsen when I'm in Dublin. I don't care what else happens, it's a must visit. It's crowded (and with good reason) so plan for a wait during busy hours. They do only a few items and they do them exceptionally well. You will not be let down. I often try to think of excuses to get back to Dublin just for these burgers.
E. C.
They were so great until health and safety made them start overcooking their burgers. Rip to the only place in Dublin you could buy a slab of almost raw burger and make your friends guess if that was blood or ketchup dribbling down your chin.
D. M.
Excellent burgers worth the reputation and wait for a table. Not a huge selection to choose from but what they do have is done to the highest standard. Not really a place to sit and chill out much after the meal as seats are limited and there's always another group waiting for it. Prices aren't over the top considering the quality
J. W.
AmaZing excellent burger! Must go to for a great dinner! Simple menu, burgers and fries. That's it. Simple. The double cheeseburger with all the toppings is fantastic. I highly recommend to check this place out for a bit to eat!
D. A.
The best burgers in Dublin and at a very good price too. Be warned - the double burgers are very large. Beer, soft drinks and milkshakes also available. You can't book but pop in to get on the waiting list and they'll text when a table is ready.
C. G.
Great quality of beef and good cheese 🧀. Probably one of the best burgers 🍔 in Dublin. Order a side of sweet potato 🍠 fries as well. Minimalistic menu (it fits in a business card)
J. L.
Best burgers in Dublin! Menu is limited (a good thing when your burgers are this good!) and comes on a business card. Good selection of craft beers as well. If there's no tables available when you arrived, staff will take your mobile number and text you when you're table is ready so you can go elsewhere for a pre-dinner tipple!
Z. L.
Very friendly staff, good burgers at a reasonable price. Can't complain.
K. S.
As the menu is always the same everywhere , you know what to expect it's great simple, fast, tasty and in nicely designed spaces. Even the temple bar one is spaceful kids love it . You avoid the awful smell of other this type of food chain. Great fries You can even enjoy a beer.
A. S.
The best burger I've ever had (confirmed by the 5 other lads I ate with saying the same). Will make sure I get back the next time I'm in Dublin and really glad to learn there's now one in Belfast!
G. Ó. M.
Best Burgers in Dublin. Simple menu of classic burger and ingredients. Fantastic Irish meat of the highest quality cooked as you prefer.
s. b.
Burger cooked to your liking. Tastes amazing .
N. L.
This Bunsen location is just as good as the first. One of the nicest burgers you'll get in Dublin. The menu is small, simple and to the point! Service is quick and always friendly. Highly recommended.
k. p.
Me and my partner were told about the burgers here so decided to visit while we where close by....And oh man I'm glad we did. The menu is very simple and small enough to put on a business card, the place is quite trendy and hipster'ish but not to the point where its off putting. We both ordered the humble cheeseburger and waited about 20 minutes, which is pretty good considering by the time we sat down the place was queued out the door. The burger is built excellently with pickles, sauce and lettuce built from the bottom up with Patty sitting on top, which meant every bite you took you tasted everything instead of having it all up in the roof of your mouth! We also ordered a portion of fries which was more than enough for the both of us, the fries where crisp, hot and well seasoned they were near enough gone before they could turn warm. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go again, next time it's the double! I would also reccomend if your heading there on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday just to ring a head and get a place reserved you could be waiting to get a seat.
A. K.
Great burger
Huge sides
Highly recommend it
N. M. C.
BEST BURGER. Simple but tastyyyy! Milkshake is to die for and I also love the sweet potatoes. The only downside is that you will leave smelling like you were at the kitchen frying the burgers yourself... but hey, it's part of the experience!
J. “. B.
Best burger in town. Simple but flawless. You can choose between hamburger or cheesburger. Single or double. Toppings and 3 kind of fries. The menu is like a business card. 10/10 would eat again.
B. P.
Definitely one of the best places to get a burger in all of Dublin. Really can’t say enough - it’s a small menu and that’s exactly the way it should be because everything on it is delicious.
A. D.
Can't get enough of bunsen! Burgers are always delicious and plenty for later snack too. Staff are also super friendly and attentive! Also not bad for money either, medium price range but delicious results
C. L.
Best burgers in Dublin. Basic but great ingredients and executed well, juicy and delicious. Consistent with their other locations. Staff here were friendly and fast.
A. C.
Great tasting burger! Go with the double and skip the fries. My burger was HOT and seasoned perfectly. Will be back on my next trip to Dublin.
K. L.
FABULOUS BUGER STAFF SERVICE
COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE
D. D.
Amazing burgers but its the sweet potato fries that keep me coming back!
Choice is limited, burger, cheeseburger, double burger or double cheese burger. Thats it. And of course fries or sweet potato fries. blessed, blessed sweet potato fries!
Service can be a little slow when they are busy but overall after 3 visits, I've been really satisfied with the food, the service and the atmosphere! Great selection of beers too.
Two thumbs up!
D. K.
Best Burgers in Dublin. Tables are a bit small and there's a short wait for your food although they are very busy so it's perfectly acceptable. The small menu means you're in and out fairly quick, sometimes I wish there was a coffee or dessert because I don't want to leave so soon but I've been back several times. Can't go wrong with a rare double cheese!
A. S.
the menu is incredibly minimalist but that doesn't matter. what they do serve is done well. the staff are friendly and service is pretty quick.
The only issue is that it's so busy it can take some time to get a table but that's just a sign of how good it is. they have some system where they'll send you an SMS message when there is a table free for you so you don't need to hang around the doorway waiting.
N. L.
The best burger in Dublin!
Great beef, with the option of having it medium and not fully cooked like most of the places.
Always really delicious, with great price and service
j. m.
Thw double cheeseburger was one of the best burgers ive had in a long time. Shoestring chips were also amazing.Decent price. Wasn't bussy at all but waited nearly 40 minutes for our food but staff was nice and appolagetic over the inconvenience.
P. J.
Great restaurant. Worth waiting for if it's busy they will just send you a text when you're tables ready. Food is really good and super filling. Great burger!
V. M.
Best burger in Dublin, no doubts about it. A few options, listed on a funny business card instead of a menu. And the quality of the meat is incredible. No need for extra toppings, when meat is at its best!
P. S.
Some say it's the best burgers in Dublin. Not sure about that, but definitely the best fries (take the shoestring). Minimalistic menu (3 burgers & fries), and they serve beers. Always busy though!
A. K.
Our favorite burger place in Dublin. Simple perfection - the burgers and the fries. Normally, big queue, so better to come during off peak hours. Staff very friendly.
C. A. G. H.
Best Burgers in Dublin for sure. Tasty beef, incredibly good buns, more than enough toppings, and the best sweet potato fries in the country.
Definitely check any of their (OMG I just realized they have a third) 3 restaurants in the Dublin city center.
D. C.
Burgers are simple and that's they're main allure. Shoestring fries are addictive. It's nice and cozy but can fill up at lunch hours.
J. H.
A good burger, served medium (my choice) and juicy, let down by slightly undercooked and unseasoned fries.
M. M.
Both Bunsens are awesome! The Wexford St. one is the original one, the one that helped us discover what is burger excellence. This one is bigger and there's some waiting list but not much. The good part is that they take your number and they text you when you have your table. Being in Temple makes waiting really easy.
I don't exaggerate if I say that this is the BEST burger you will ever have. It is also super cheap (for what it is).
They offer 4 types of burger and 3 types of fries, but it's all you need.
Just enjoy whatever you have and pay around 10-15€pp (burger+fries) to have the best burger experience in your life!
B. C.
The burgers and fries were delicious! Plus the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. They cook your burgers to your preferred level of doneness and they come out perfect!
D. K.
I really like the strategy of Bunsen keep it simple which makes it delicious every time. The best thing in Bunsen is that if you would like to eat a good burger you can trust in them. They always produce the same quality ( sometimes it may depend on the location;))
Everybody should try a Burger in Bunsen!
S. C.
As always a delicious meal, great staff and an overall lovely restaurant. Bunsen, although they don't advertise a vegatarian option when in the restaurant they offer a grilled cheese which is the burger without the meat. My friend said it was delicious and we have returned because of it. Would really recommend going and enjoying a meal in bunsen.
A. O.
If you like a good burger and chips come here. No frills at all but the burger is incredibly tasty and the chips are some of the best I've ever had. The price is very good considering the quality of the food, and it's bang in the middle of temple bar. Great location, great food, great price.
P. J.
Bunsen presents itself as the champion of the decent plain, well cooked, well presented, unadulterated burger. Indeed, the menu only has four items, and they are all burgers, and all without the usual flutey blue cheese dill pickled bacony bits type choices.
It was really busy when I went in. Warning, the crowd is young, and it doesn't help your agey insecurities when you are seated at the back at the "losers bar".
And the burgers? Well, after a reassuring wait the raison d'être for this business was kinda dumped there on in front of me on a small plastic tray. It's not even a glorified McDonalds type presentation. Look, I'm being harsh here, but shouldn't they celebrate their core product a bit more with a bit more pizzazz?
The burger is the star though, with pure meat cooked to medium rare, additive free perfection, so much so that, while gorgeous, it just lacked that little hint of seasoning, and I did miss that little bit of charring on the burger that gives it just that little bit more flavour.
€15 bought me an almost too big for me double burger, gorgeous shoestring fries and a coke, which I didn't think was unreasonable. I shoulda really gone for the milk shake though. They also have what looks like a fine collection of craft beers. The staff were effective, can't say more than that.
I will be back, but overall left a little disappointed that they just missed by a hairs breadth the chance to really celebrate their core product.
T. Z.
Delicious food, simple menu, nice location. Highly recommended.
M. E.
Food is amazing, staff incredible and well organised. Therefore, we got a table close to the entrance which made us freezing!
Nothing the staff could have done for us, but the owner definitely needs to rethink how to protect its customers from the cold when doors are opening. From now, kindly ask to get a table far from the entrance if you come in a cold day/night
R. g.
It's simply one of the best burgers I ever taste.
They have only 4 options of burgers but all are really good.
I would recommend the place without any dould.
T.
Very good place to take your friends. I loved the milkshakes and the burgers were good aswell with a big portion aswell as the chips too. The place was packed and was great experience with friends. There were a few thing though, the food came out a bit slow and there weren't that many things on the menu but apart from that it was great. :D
B. A.
My favourite humbug! Love this place!
I. M.
love the burgers :) best burgers in town :) you can not book a table unless you are more than 8 in the group, so you might have to wait. It has many tables but on the busy days (Weekend nights) you might need to wait 30 to 45 mins.
N. T.
Best burgers in Dublin with fast service and delightfully simple menu. Good selection of beers and wines and their milkshakes are delicious. Highly recommended.
N. D.
No fancy menus here, Bunsen keep their menu very simple because they can. Their burgers are cooked to perfection everytime. Plus the sweet potato fries are definitely worth a try.
M. M.
The girlfriend and I spent a few days in Dublin last week. On our first full day there, we were wandering around killing time before our Jameson tour and wanted to grab a bite. Now, Dublin is SUPER touristy, and we had a hard time finding a place that wasn't a) super expensive, or b) crowded as all hell (it was a bank holiday). Bunsen fit the mold. We're American, and eating burgers and fries in Dublin wasn't really what we had PLANNED, but for the price and quality of food, it was great. I felt right at home. Thanks guys!
V. L. C.
Very delicious burgers for a good price as always. You most likely will have to wait up to 30 minutes If you're a big group, so plan ahead.
P. R.
Burgers done right. I love the sweet potato fries and selection of bottled beer as well. The menu is small but that's fine, you come here for a great burger and that's what you'll get.
J. B.
I love this place!! Menu is great, on a business card, simple burgers done well. Quality is fantastic. Can be very busy in the evenings, but they will text you when your tables ready so your not awkwardly waiting around the door!
A. S.
Best Burger in Dublin. Love that tidy, little menu.
G. B. (.
Can't go wrong with a Bunsen, a burger cooked to your liking, great selections of beers, right in the middle of Dublin.
Building is cool too! Great atmosphere!
This goes for all of Bunsen's locations, highly recommend them to anyone (except maybe vegetarians).
C. A.
Delicious and every cent worth it!!
The Burger was very delicious and the Fries/chips were just perfect!!!
I love the interior!!
You will see me again !!!!
A. M.
Bunsen. It does what it says on the tin. But very well. Burgers are yummy. Including the toppings and buns etc. Fries and sweet potato fries are also spot on. Small but good selection of beer. Mixed crowd of locals and tourists. Casual vibe. Fast, friendly service.
F. C.
Seriously, this is the best place to eat burgers in Dublin. They do just a few things but they do them very, very well. Simple but extremely tasty is the perfect description for their burgers!
Y. T. (.
Simple burgers made great! (Double) hamburger or cheeseburger from medium to well done, thick/thin/sweet potato fries, soda or beer. That's pretty much all they offer, but it turns out it is really all you need.
On weekend evenings, you might have to wait for 45min or so sometimes, but you can go and they'll call you back when they're ready.
R. R.
One of the best burgers in Dublin. Always busy so expect some waiting time. Very short menu, simple and effective.
I. D.
Love this place! Eat here once a week !
S. K.
Best burger I've had in the city in a long time! Simple menu but delicious so don't be put off by that!
C. H.
Great burgers, friendly staff. Handy place to go if you're on your own, bar style seating available. Looking forward to calling again soon 👍🍔🍟
M. R.
Excellent burgers. I recommend the shoe string fries. Very straightforward burger that knows what makes a burger good. You can order the burger to your level of done.
P. G.
Delicious burger, simple menu, food served quickly. There could be more space between tables but once u get your burger there is no need to talk, just enjoy :D
M. M. C.
Best burger in Dublin. Very simple menu. Great shakes as well
C. W.
Hands down, this is one of the best burgers I've had anywhere - especially with the sweet potato fries and a milkshake! Great way to invest 10 euro.
N. B.
Best burger in Dublin. Milkshakes are great too. The perfect meal is a shake and a burger. The fries are nice but you just don't need them...Too much.
B. S.
It's the best fast food burger in the city. No frills, no fuss. Get it right up you
J. E.
Food was amazing and the restaurant beer was really good, too!
D. C.
The best burgers in Dublin. I don't have pictures because I ate my hamburger very fast. Really really good place. I totally recommend to everyone.
M. G.
Busen has the best cost benefit in Dublin! With a simple menu and amazing artisanal hamburgers (goods sizes as well) we can have a good meal for less than 8 euros.
C. W.
Seriously some of the BEST burgers. The meat just feels so tender and fresh. Staff are nice too.
I recommend the milkshakes and sweet potato fries .
S. T.
Simple, fresh and tasty. They’ve got a tiniest menu ever with four kinds of burgers. It gets so busy in the evening and they don’t take a booking in advance.
A. G.
Great burgers in a busy bustling location. Very small menu, just the basics, but done right. Definitely one of the best places for a burger in dublin.
G. H.
A restaurant that knows what it does and does it well! The burger was to die for and the milkshake - well try it out yourself and you will see what I mean. Only burgers so the menu is the size of a business card - quirky and so likeable.
B. G.
Best burgers in Dublin, hands down. Simple concept with great execution, good service and unbelievably delicious burgers. Prices are actually quite low for what is offered.
O. O.
By far the best burger in Dublin. The menu fits on a calling card and they don't need more. Always busy but quick and easy service.
D. H.
Best burgers in town. With a 4 item menu, you need to have a burger here if you are just visiting Dublin. Milkshakes are great too!
A. D.
Tasty burger. It is served on the rare side, so go for medium-well if that bothers you. Nice selection of customisations. Because of the various options though; I would say it is missing a signature style like Honest or Dirty. Fast and pleasant service.
K. Ś.
Very good food, nice stuff and gluten free beer on board 😁
J. L. R.
Cracking spot ....best burgers in Dublin in my opinion
L. D. O.
In a town full of trendy burger bars, Bunsen is the hands down champion. The glossy brioche buns are a complete delight (gluten-free option available), but obviously the star is the patty. Ground fresh with meat from FX Buckley, cooked to order - always a promising sign - accompanied with sweet potato fries or chips. The chocolate milkshake is a meal in its own right.
E. F.
Good burger joint dining experience with great service. Popular with trendy twenty something's. Menu is displayed on business cards which is nice quirky touch. An enjoyable fast food experience.
M. K.
The best burgers in Dublin
S.
Best burger I've had in ages. Simple and delicious. Not a great fun of the queuing system where you have to go for a walk until you're texted. Being able to book a table would be great.
N. M.
One of the best burgers in Dublin. Very affordable. Wait times can be a bit long at peak times but well worth the wait!
a. “. M. m.
Order was missed at the start. No big deal. Food was lovely and when I went to pay . They wouldn't accept any payment even though the delay was minimal.
That's pure soundness ..
Happy Monday
A. v. A.
Excellent sweet potatoe fries and burgers - glutenfree option available!
G. B.
High quality of meet, service quick but accurate also I really like from the begging. Key word Quality Winner choice of all time. When i come to got a burger in Bunsen come in my mind the best pizzeria of my city Naples and i would make a fast mention Pizza was born in Naples.
Why I did that cause "da Michele" pizzeria in Naples you can choose just three Pizza flavor... Why?? because that's the Centenary tradition of Pizza.
So i love to see Bunsen keep this culture of "Simple and Good"
F. B.
Great service, food is nice, but my life wasn't changed by the burger, as I had been told by literally everyone. Decent for a quick grab. Pricey enough but that's Temple bar!
C. M.
One of the greatest burgers I've had, very good drinks too. Staff are nice. It is costly but worth it.
D.
Their menu is so simple~
Ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with medium rare patties and it was amazing.
K. M.
Great burgers, very juicy, had a chocolate shake to die for. Fries were perfect. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend
S. M.
Best burger I've ever had, and the quality never drops... But the poor staff are run off their feet! They could do with a few more servers per shift.
M. O.
Excellent burgers, probably the best in Dublin
T. M.
Truly a great burger! Excellent service despite how busy the place was at the time (6pm). The fries were alright, but nothing to write home about.
H. S.
Top notch burgers, best around if you ask me. Great beer selection. Gets very busy so work booking if you plan on eating there Friday it Saturday night.
H. M.
Simple, delicious burgers. Don't bother going for the double though, the patties have quite a small diameter but are pretty fat, so they end up slipping over each other.
D. O.
Not sure there's a nicer burger in Dublin. Place only does one thing (various toppings on a burger) but does it so incredibly well I don't think anyone would leave unhappy.
V. O.
Always a good meal. Never disappointed. Love that they keep it simple. This would be fine stars but again I ordered medium well and got medium rare.
P. S.
Best burgers I've ever tasted.
I had rare burger because the quality of the meat is so good and it was delish.
Good chips too.
Great service.
B. H.
Best burger I have ever had and I always go to Busen whenever I am in Dublin (Sometimes twice in a day)!
Great staff and nice environment.
V.
This bunsen is a great place to eat but unlike other bunsen burgers this one does not have a vegetarian option, i am not vegetarian myself but went with a friend who is! We expected it to have a vegetarian option like others we have visited
J. R.
A modern place that has its style really well defined and they are focused on their best product: hamburguer. You can choose between 4 options, regular or double and with or without cheese. Wichever you choose, you will enjoy and be amazed about it. Staff is very friendly and they take care of every detail.
J. J.
Lovely place in the heart of the city centre. What makes it better of course is their delicious burgers and juicy milkshakes.
I would fully recommend this to someone who isn't sure of trying.
T. R.
Just as good as the original Bunsen, but with more seats and more space. Same business card menu and you can't go wrong with a cheese burger, sweet potato fries and a beer (all gluten free of course!)
E. C.
Food is superb, as its location. Prices are great.
D. Y. M.
love their fries, their cute name card aka menu
G. T.
Very recommendable! The hamburgers are really good and the hand cut fries delicious! Good price and attention!
M. M.
Food was good and it came out fast. Chips were nice and salty. I would go and eat there again! Also menu was nice and simple
F. M.
Good food and very good beer
R. C.
Popular gourmet burger joint. When I visited at lunchtime there was a 20 minute wait time. The menu is super small so don't have to think too hard about ordering.
K. T.
Sparse menu, indicating this place is serious about one thing: great burgers. Fries were delicious too. A must for Dublin’s burger-lovers
W. B.
Very tasty and great service. Superior Burgers and chips also tasty. Chips were vert small, mostly bits.
N. Q.
They never disappoint and serve one of the best burgers in town. Love the short, but sweet, menu!
J. N.
Simply burgers. The menu is just two types of burgers in two sizes and they are the best burgers this side of the Atlantic. There can be a wait during busy periods.
D. B.
What to say that hasn't been said before. Bunsen is the best fast paced burger you will have in Dublin. If you haven't been and are reading reviews. Just go already...
R. B.
Simple and amazing. Best burger in dublin. Traditional burgers not the gourmet type but really good. Try the sweet potato fries.
F. B.
Great place. Simple menu makes eating here a fun experience and leaves more time to enjoy their delicious burgers rather than trying to decide what to eat.
R. (.
Great burgers, very straightforward menu (love it! It's just a card) right in temple bar area Dublin and staff were really nice.
M. A.
Just the best burger I've had. And I've had a lot. Ate here two nights in a row while travelling for work. Will be back next time I'm in Dublin
G. G.
Everyone told me that in Ireland the food has no flavour.
I went to Bunsen and I can say that they were wrong!
A. T.
Very good burgers. Only normal and cheeseburgers available but very good and well made. The only regret are the fries which are just ok.
P. G.
Amazing food, easily the Best burger in town but the service really lets the place down, rude staff and very hard to catch an eye to get a drink to the table
T. O.
This used to be my absolute favorite burger place! Unfortunately they no longer make the burgers as rare as they used to, which was one of the major attractions, so it not the 5 star experience it once was, but still a great place to grab a burger!
M. C. N.
A classic. I always bring visitors here. They always have live music, playing some known pub songs that people can sing along. In terms of food, start with the bloody mary oyster shots! Don't go for the sandwiches, as they aren't very exciting. The platters selection is way better, and portions quite reasonable.
M. K.
Really good burgers but they can take 20 or 30 minutes after you order so be aware of that if you are expecting fast-food.
y. L.
Bunsen burger are generous and juicy. Maybe if the steak was less cooked and more rare it could be one of the best burger in town.
M. H.
Best burger ever
R. S.
Overrated, meat better than average, anything else overpriced. 20 Euro for a burger, fries and a can of beer is too much for small sizes. Wont come again.
O. C.
The food is okay, It's simple and easy with only two burgers which makes the amount of time the take to serve even worse. Really slow. You could see people leave because they were never attended.
T. (.
Very delicious hamburgers, pretty simple, fast, but the meat is surprisingly delicious! Would totally recommend it for anyone who wants to have a good dinner in the city
M. Á. G.
Awesome burgers! They have a very good system to notify you when your table is ready if you book. Original business cards as well!
N. M.
Burgers are tasty, but unfortunately too small. Also too expensive for their size. After so many praises I heard about Bunsen burgers, I must admit I am a bit disappointed.
B. P.
Great staff, affordable and amazing hamburgers
H.
I find their burgers really bland 😆
N. H.
This is a great fast food style burger at a sit down place. Completely satisfied. Very simple menu that works. I had the cheeseburger and fries.
D. L.
Best burger in Dublin hands down !!!
a. r.
Good place to have some burgers, the food is nice but maybe the menu it's too simple, only two types of burgers to choose
C. S.
Went on a Saturday evening and even though it was busy we got a table very quickly and the food came quite fast as well. Highly recommend the cheeseburger, the sweet potatoes chips (although it was a bit cold) and the milkshake!
B. S.
Hamburgers are good. I asked the shoelace fries they are cuted really thin and are crispy. Next time I will try the sweet fries.
m. c.
simple and straightforward menu, same as burgers simple and straightforward best...
J. O.
Burgers at their best! Place is always crowded, but they manage to be fast and efficient. Burgers are simple but a true delish! Affordable price, go for it!
P. K.
Burger was amazing and place as well. But I ordered also fries and I did not get them with burger. Later I told them, nothing happened. Second person I asked about fries brought me it.
T.
Brilliant, quality burgers. If you want a sit down meal after 1,i would recommend calling to book. Quality is excellent
A. M. G.
Small and to the point menu which fits on a business card. Beautiful burgers although a tad greasy. Can order your beef to preference.
F. C.
Four options to eat, but the burger is delicious. Great bear and wine. The location is amazing if you are lucky take a sit in front of the Liffey river
F. F.
If you want to have a good burger no fancy sides and friendly staff the way to go! Straight and very solid food!
E. A.
Great burgers, best in town. Straight forward menu with no confusion, only containing single/double and w/ or w/o cheese... highly suggested
G. R.
It's the best burger around the meat is the best beef you can get!!! and the staff are fast and friendly. Prices are really reasonable.
J. F.
I went in expecting burgers and milkshakes and that's all you'll get. Smallest menu ever but it's all good :) service is great and the place is huge. I'd recommend
D. G.
Great burgers and fries. Very tasty, with a definite homage to the best American burgers. Delicious!
R. F.
Hands down the best burgers in town! Be prepared to wait for 20-30 minutes on a busy day (you don't have to stay inside and they will send you a text).
M. d. N.
Nice laid Back vibe, friendly staff, and good burgers. It is a super limited menu (literally just burgers) but what they offer, they do well.
d. w.
Best burgers in Dublin, however, don't get stuck by the entrance on a cold day as it removes all the joy of being there as the door is constantly being opened and left open by people looking to eat...
T. K.
Best hamburgert I've ever tried in the world. Simply and that's why it's so good. High quality, highly recommended. Greetings from Hungary :)
L. B.
there are exactly four items on the menu (burger / double, cheeseburger / double), it's all fresh and delicious, friendly staff, good selection of beers, decent prices. will definitely be back.
D. R.
The only downside of Bunsen is that it's nearly impossible to go in the evening and find a table right away, but the wait is always worth it. Probably the best burgers in Dublin.
S. K.
The burgers are so good!!! Short of 5 star as the milkshake is great but not the best I've had.
K. H.
Beat burgers I've had in Dublin. No extra fuzz, just awesome burgers with good meat in focus. Don't forget, it's also dirt cheap!
I.
Nice burgers. Quite a busy place but they use a handy booking system where they notify you once your table is ready.
M. P.
Good meat and exceptional shoestring fries but all was oversalted a little. Some mustard got into a non-mustard order. Great cider.
V. B.
Good burgers at reasonable prices. No fuss, just a handful of options to choose from. The milkshakes are pretty good too.
J. W.
Older woman looking for fries and milkshake. .Food OK regular burger fare. But there appears to be a policy to sit "single" customers at a very narrow bar like long counter even though there were multiple tables available and no line out the door absolutely no elbow room when other customers were seated at the bar/counter. Nothing relaxing about this environment
A. C. A.
The best burgers in dublin, I absolutely love the place. If is full, they send you a message when the table is available, really confy
J. H.
Not a bad burger but was very greasy and the menu was very limited which wasn't the best.
H. K.
Burgers were yummy, staffs were nice
T. N.
Menu is burger, burger or burger. But top quality food with a selection of fries all gluten free. Gluten free buns on request!! Delicious food, v tasty.
A.
Ireland's answer to McDonald's? Chips are amazing but burgers taste just like your 4am McDonald's run. Lovely staff.
M. H.
Best cheeseburger ever
I. B.
Although Bunsen is run by ghosts (many reputable sources have conducted research in a number of Bunsen burger restaurants across the globe and have all concluded Bunsen burgers founder (Mephistopheles Bunsen ( who has been dead since the 1800s(btw))) is a ghost and still it's current CEO.
One of these reputable sources conducted a questionnaire in which they asked patrons of the Bunsen as they left, what type of ghosts the saw while dining (spooky ghosts was the top answer with Casper the ghost coming in hot second place)
Another reputable source also zip wired (like Tom cruise in the first mission impossible) into a satanic cult meeting inside a Bunsen restaurant after a number of noise complaints were made (apparently low whispers were heard with an occasional "UNO" being shouted) by nearby residents. As the trusty source zip wired in he was spotted by the hooded figures who then preceded to pelt him with burger buns and condiments.
Another source just straight up watched a Bunsen go up in flames as the laughter of a monstrous goat-legged man (who began dancing amid the flames) drowned out the screams of the people inside.) it does have one of the best burgers in Dublin.
B. S.
Bunsen offers probably some of the best burgers and milkshakes in the city! I highly recommend to stop by (early if you don't want to queue) if you are in Dublin
D. F.
Beautiful and delicious. Burgers deserve to be this good. If you’re in Dublin, you need this in your life.
D. R.
Good food I like the small menu makes choosing very easy. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.
S. H.
Even though there is only 4 types of burgers to choose from, they make you feel you don't need more. The shoestring fries are sublime!
J. P.
Top quality burgers, but the lack of variety on the menu leaves something to be desired
R. M.
What more can you ask for? Huge delicious burgers at a reasonable price, one of the tastiest meals around. Top class
J. K.
One of the best burgers in Dublin.
I recommend having the cheese burger with a milkshake!
Fair prices and great service
C. G.
Good meat for the burger. Much better than fast food and just as equivalent in price. Better option all around but there's limited choice in trade for quality.
M. A. W.
For me the best burger in town... Try the double cheese with handcut fries - amazing...
L. N.
Good hamburger. Chips were not perfect but 10€ each is the medium price. Nice place
T. M.
Best burger in Dublin. It’s most similar to shake shack but without the bells and whistles. Really great.
J. P. A.
Really Good classic Burgers, simple menu, simple preparation, but everything is on point, prices are reasonable. Restaurante can be a bit crowded.
S. S.
Very nice burger. Simple, clean and good quality! Bread and buns were perfect!
P. B.
Super good burger and fries 👍👍👍👍🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟 super yummy
S. V.
My favourite. Only place I know of in the city center you can get a real good medium burger too. Always a wait but worth it.
s. R.
Kind,delicious,good place
C. N.
A great burger spot in Dublin that's fast and relatively cheap. The long lunchtime wait reflects how good this place is.
T. T.
Great burger, fries and drinks, a lot of food for one sitting. Make sure you're hungry prior to going and choose your toppings wisely !
A. M. L.
Nice place, the burgers very good. Usually very crowed and just burgers and chips, don't loom for anything else.
S. A.
Food is unbelievable value, it's literally the best burger and fries in Dublin and the staff are across
A. S.
Good burgers. There's a grilled cheese burger you can order which isn't on the menu if you're vegetarian.
N.
Best burgers in the city! You can only chose between burger and cheeseburger (big or small), but both are really tasty!
D. G.
Great burgers and milkshakes. Staff were lovely and friendly. It was really busy and we had a bit of a wait but it was worth it
R. M.
Best hamburger in Dublin 😋
D. T.
The burgers are great, nothing fancy and pretty tasty. Their sweet potato fries are one of the best!
O. K.
I don't really get the hype. Super simplistic - I was disappointed with the few burger options they had. Burgers itself and fries were good, but I've had better.
N. M. M.
Very simple Menu. Chips & Burgers. Reasonably priced & tasty. Expect a small wait when coming here. They usually text you when a table is ready.
D. B.
I ate a big good hamburger, with hand cut potatoes. The service was very fast, I booked a table and went around in temple bar, then they sent me an sms to say that the table was ready, really cool!
H. W.
By far the best burgers in Dublin. If you are visiting Dublin am need a good but quick dinner - come here!
A. G.
So far, the best burger in Dublin, however, overall experience not that good, mostly because of a bun.
N. H. (.
Simple menu with focused taste. Bunsen Burger is deliciously pure. If you love burgers, Bunsen will not fail you.
W. v. V.
the best burgers in Dublin, no doubt about it. Fast service and a good system for getting a table. love this place
L. S.
Excellent burger and fries at a very fair price. The menu is simple, but that works in this place's favour.
J. C.
Great burger and super sweet potato fries but the staff seemed a bit rushed to kick is out.
C. S.
Bunsen has - for me - the best burger in Dublin and for a very good value.
This restaurant is often very crowded.
B. J.
Best burgers in town. Always made to order and as you like
P. C.
Possibly the best burger I've ever had. The fries are amazing, why aren't all fries this good???
B. C.
My grandson rates the burger as 10 / 10. They dont do coffee or tea only milkshakes.their burgers are excellent but I want a coffee with mine not a milkshake.
A. R.
Most lively place in Dublin for live music! And people out walling and partying. Also most expensive area in Dublin for drinks! Always a great time thou!!
