N. B. (.Was a great experience. We were a party of 6, everyone ordered something else, and everyone loved their meal. Was extremely tasty. I had the asian veggie burger on a bed of salad, was one of the nicest veggie burgers i have had in a long time.
P. O.We got wings as a starter and the portion was just crazy, the taste was good. Custom made burger was a good idea and tasted real good.
s. a.Good burger and especially the fact that it is halal chicken. Really nice potato fries also and nice and clean with good service. Onion rings were okay but on the whole, good to very good.
D. 1.Food was fine. The nachos were not bad, although it is a little bit expensive. The staffs were not very helpful, a bit slow and they would keep customers waiting. Food had to be chased for a couple of times after ordered. Food was at average, but due to unpleasant experience and plenty of other options out there, I wouldnt go back.
R. W.My husband and I love eating here. He always gets the chicken wings and says they are delicious. I sometimes get a burger and sometimes nachos, depending on my mood. I have always enjoyed my meal. The fries are especially delicious and the portion size is very generous.
G. H.It was really busy when we arrived so we just sat at the counter. The burgers were absolutely delicious. We built our own. They were so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Good milkshake choice and cocktails too. The staff were lovely.

The burgers were exceptional.
A. C.Busy burger bar in Dundrum shopping centre. What makes this place different is you can design your own burger based on a large selection of ingredients. This is great for those who want to try something different or something unusual. There are plenty of pre set options too for burgers and sandwiches. Fries are proper skinny fries and delicious. They don't seem to take bookings so when busy can mean a wait but tables turn over pretty quickly. Upscale fast food. Have a bar menu too. Food is good and fairly consistent. Large selection of milkshakes and again you can add ingredients to customise them. Service is mixed. Seems to depend on who you get. It was busy when we where there. Orders were taken and delivered promptly but no follow up once the food arrived. Had to go to the bar to Pay the bill or could have been waiting longer. However it was busy. I would return again. Lots of choice in that area for food options too.
O. F.Got lunch here, service was a bit slow, waiting over half an hour for me and my wife's food. Got the counter burger which was nice but a bit dry and over cooked. Wife loved the chicken sandwich.
M. M.Burger was pretty nice, but the service was horrendous. We were waiting a long while to be seated, and despite that , the waitress that was looking after us did not work very briskly. She cleaned the table she was showing us to very slowly, and then stopped in the middle of it to do something else, all the while ignoring us. Then, when she showed us to the table, she forgot to give us the service basket thing with the menus, straws and pencils. That delayed being able to order further, because you use the pencils to make the order

O.Went with my sisters and my nephew (2), there was a queue for tables and we had to wait in the cramped area inside the door which didn't have space for the buggy, then were told not to bring the buggy inside as there's no space by the table so we had to leave it in the doorway even though it didn't fit there either. It was very busy inside and there were not enough staff on. They weren't very child friendly or attentive to customers. We had to wait a very long time for them to fill glasses of water and other tables were also asking and waiting. We finished our mains and asked a waitress can we order desserts which she did for us? Or did she... 25 mins later we were still waiting with our empty dinner plates and had to ask again for some service. She took away plates then and brought cookie dessert which was rock solid and burnt. I was very disappointed and won't be rushing back.
It would be a lovely place is there was enough staff and they were more attentive.
o. s.I'm not really a fan of The Counter, everytime I've been the burgers have been way over cooked.
This time unfortunately was no different. I created my own burger with organic bison, Brie, onion marmalade, bacon, lettuce mix, spinach and grilled red onion.
First of all the reason why you have organic meat at all, is not just for the flavour, but so you don't have to cook the life out of it, and that's exactly what it happened,again. Over cooked and dry. The burger was saved very much by all the other ingredients which shouldn't be the case.
I went with my girlfriend, we I ordered the burger, sweet fries and a Coke, she ordered a burger bowl and chips and it came to over €40, seriously bad value for money. I've no problem paying for good food but the price doesn't match the quality in any way.
The service however was fast, and the waiting staff were professional. But in regards to the food, I remember exactly why I'm not The Counters biggest fan, and won't be going back in a rush.

The negative for me is that it misses a 'wow factor' on both burgers and fries.
Nothing that would make me rush back even though it was decent enough, a nice fill and fairly reasonable in price.
B. B.Food is amazing but service is terrible. Thought before maybe it was a once off but been about 3 times since the first bad experience a few months ago and you're still waiting at least an hour for the food to come out. They also have gotten my orders wrong a few times and never brought out some items resulting in me having to ask twice.
Also have never had a waiter come over when the meal is finished to get the bill. Always have to go up to the till yourself to pay because the wait is too long for any service.
Food is 5 stars but service brings it down.
S. C.Yes you can build your own burger but it was the quality of the burger patty that was the best. House sauce is yum. Good standard of service even though they had a few trainees on the go behind the bar that night. Would go again to the Dundrum branch.

C. E.Great choice of food, the burgers are always cooked perfectly. An interactive experience getting to customise every detail of your burger, from bun, meat or veggie burger, cheese, toppings, sauces and sides. The buffalo wings are also really good, with deals for wings and a cocktail. Their milkshakes are also good, especially adding booze to them. Turkey burger bowl is a favourite.
M. O.Great selection of food and the options to create your own burger is fantastic. You can choose from the healthy options to the all out fully loaded. It's reasonably priced and good for a quick bite. Will have to try the "loaded" milkshakes sometime.
A. H.Great food but the service has to be improved. Always take soo long to get the order plus the waiting for the meal. I have been in there several times and it's always the same. This last time I asked for a salad that it was supposed to come with cheese which it wasn't and when I asked for it they just put a tiny spoon of it on top. Also as soon as we finished our meals, they brought us immediately the bill which we didn't request and when there wasn't even people waiting for a table. So rude! I definitely will think twice before I come back to there.

A.The wait for a table can be quite long, and service isn't great as there isn't a designated server to one section, so trying to get anything after you order, ie extra drinks can be difficult. The actual custom burger is quite good value at €10 for a basic burger.

S. S.This is definitely my favourite place in Dublin to grab a burger. You can get really creative if you choose to build your own burger and there's a lot of ingredients to choose from. Unfortunately due to the popular and busy nature of the restaurant you can't book a table and there is normally a bit of a queue but order a drink while you wait, the wait is definitely worth it.
v.Love this place, brilliant, friendly service, great choice of meats and toppings for your burger, milkshakes to die for, all at a reasonable price, side orders are huge too and very tasty.
Well worth a visit if you haven't been, one of the best burgers you'll have, certainly within the area and as good or better as most anything I've had in Dublin

Wasn't as expensive as we thought it was going to be..... it was busy when we arrived thay took our names and told us too come back in around 20 minutes, we had no problems get a seat When we returned. A. R.The Counter has a great menu for food and drink, and is in a great spot in Dundrum Town Centre's Pembroke District. What could go wrong? The only real detractions are the length of time it takes for them to make those delicious burgers and sides, and the fact that you can't book a table in advance (although that's fairly common in Dundrum). Still - well worth a try. My personal recommendation is for the salmon burger with BBQ sauce, and some sweet potato fries - proper order.
