C. P.Amazing burgers! They are made with fresh and quality ingredients. They have a huge variety of hamburgers, chicken or beef. They also have great starters. The chicken wings, delicious! Very good service, friendly staff. I will be back!
J. G.30 years ago a American man, from Ohio brought a taste to Ireland... And God bless him for doing it right. A huge selection of burgers, and I have complete confidence they all taste fantastic... Just based on eating there twice.
Be careful though, Americans do bigger portions so you know you will be well fed. The pattys are all handmade and juicy. They offer sweet potatoes "Yams" fries, which I recommend if you don't want chips.
Of the desserts, I would only recommend the Apple pie. Not saying the other desserts are bad I didn't even try them. But Instantly you can tell apple pie is different. They make this themselves and you will not find similar in Ireland. The surprise of this is the base which is a cake mixture. Soft, sweet and works better than a normal pasty or shortcrust base.
And somehow if you finish your meal and are still hungry, like any American Dinner they have a challenge. The 5x5! See pics and you will not believe the record for 5 Burgers, 5 cheese slices, 5 bacon strips, 1lb coleslaw, 1lb of chips.

C.Amazing food, huge portions, great customer service. Always give extra portion of wings for free and I mean they give you double the amount of wings you order! The chocolate cake comes with separate chocolate sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. Would love to eat there in person when restaurants reopen, I only had takeaways so far from Scottys and have been very pleased. Amazing Friday night treat!! 😋

Experience was a delight from start to finish, found through a quick Google search today having never heard of it before said we'd give it a chance..
Pulled in and just when I was going to get out to go up for a menu, an absolutely lovely lady, Jenny, landed out with one to us.. the menu is huge, take 10mins to read through it if you haven't visited before..
We got wings (sticky BBQ for the win), potatoe skins and tenders in a meal deal thing along with a side of chips between us.. could not fault anything in any way shape or form it was all delectable.. the portions were huge and the only downside was we were too stuffed to finish it all..
Very reasonably priced as well, think it came to about 26 or 27 euro including drinks.. when 2 adults can go out and be fed to the point where they don't have to eat for the rest of the day for less than 30 quid, that is as good as it gets in my book..
As an added bonus we got 10% off for ordering directly through them and this is really something to bear in mind when ordering from any restaurant really, don't use just eat!! Just eat takes 14% of the price of the order from that restaurant which is borderline criminal so please, and again this goes for any restaurant, don't be a lazy f****r and pick up the phone and either ring them or walk in!

The food is absolutely gorgeous and never disappoints! We celebrate all special occasions there because of the special atmosphere that Scotty, Jen and their amazing team create. We have brought family and friends there and everyone thoroughly enjoys their visit as much as we do. The burgers and wings are our favourite. The food is always so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Scotty's. The food and service has remained second to none throughout lockdown. We can't wait to get back to a sit down meal as soon as restrictions ease. M. M.Really nice greeting, I had a pineapple burger with a side of chips and BBQ chicken wings. The burger was massive, in both size and taste. Incredible burger! The Chips were superior to most other places to eat so I highly recommend the chips. BBQ wings are so different everywhere you go, Scotty's BBQ wing were amazing. Absolutely no complaints from the second I walked in right up to leaving. Highly recommended.

I remember going to the Middle Street restaurant as a teenager, when there was nowhere like it in the city. In many ways, there is nowhere like it again: amid all the hipster joints with reclaimed odds for furniture and ware, named for some pun in Old Norse, growing their superfoods on the outside of the building, Scotty stands alone (albeit a little further from the Square), cooking quality food well, a little bit decadently.
I see too that the crew there seem to respond to a lot of their reviews on here, which sets them apart in at least one more way - they actually care that their guests enjoyed their experience. That's all too rare in the town these days indeed.
To summarise, get the wings.

S. F.Nicest service I’ve ever experienced. Unbelievably friendly and kind. Always willing to answer any queries or solve any issues you have. Huge range of beef and chicken burgers to choose. Specials are always really good. I recommend you ask for for a brioche bun if you don’t mind white bread. Portions are very big so the moderate prices are definitely worth it. For students the double scooter is the best value for money. The ONLY criticism I can make is that the starters are a little pricey.
Overall, best service in Galway with fantastic burgers.

Arrived without a reservation and with a starved 3 year old , this was in no way a problem for the lady at the door who greeted us. She let us know we had until 6 to finish (this was ample time as we arrived at 5) this was all down to the new Covid Protocols. Crayons and colours for the little one which she could bring home :) she had a cheese burger and twisty fries, and there was no difference in the patties, the kids get the same high quality mouth watering burgers that the adults do. The twisty fries were a big hit too, changing up the regular old chips and the portion size, was more than adequate. For myself I got the cheese burger and cheese fries and my god was the burger good, actually good is an understatement, it was saaaavage. Now , if I'm to be huuuuglely critical and if i had to pick out something i didnt like, it would be the bun. While the bun i got was actually flawless, a beautiful brown bun and soooooo fresh, i would have preferred a typical brioche or simple white bun, but again, this is me being needlessly picky. If I got the exact same burger again I would be just as happy.
Overall, brilliant experience as always, fantastic staff and chef and the waiting staff are fantastic too. Never too far from you if you need something, but not on top of you either. Very family friendly , especially with the little ones, and considering the ingredients used and the quality the food is more than well priced. Highly recommend and will definately go again ( when I think of it) and you should too :)

Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic diner experience if you are visiting Galway. Huge selection of burgers also and the menu is up online so you can see what you want before you go in! I'd love if it was open more often as it only opens Wednesday to Sunday and closes quite early in the evening which is the only down side !

With over 58 burgers to choose feom (beef or chicken) not to mention the mouth-watering starters, you will read that menu like it's your last meal! Finally, please note, your burger comes out with a steak knife through it . Jenny will tell you its to keep that perfectly stacked burger just the way it is for you to enjoy. T.This place is a true diner experience, really attentive great service, a chat if you want/ need it and the food is delicious. Highly recommended and it's an old school staple of Galway city. It's a little bit out of the city (15 min walk, 5 minute drive). Suitable for all!

D. H.Went here with my wife and two kids on a Saturday early afternoon after their activities and we all loved it. The wings were lovely, my burger was fantastic and everyone else was happy too with food particularly the signature twisty fries. The Orea milk shake at €5.50 was particulary nice. We will definitely be back to Scottys - it was a little pricey but good food well prepared costs money!! Staff were very attentive and friendly. Not a huge place so probably need to book a table at peak periods. Imagine parking gets tight too. But if shopping in town or Terryland then this is a great option.
