From the smiley welcome to the well spaced, clean environment all the food was presented well and tasted as good as it looked!! Would highly recommend the dessert Death by chocolate to finis off a superb meal!! A treat not to be missed!!

We went there for dinner and I was delighted to see how well they have reacted to the Covid precautions. Most important to was the staff wear shields, unlike other places we have been to. Hand sanitizer visible at multiple places. The service was very good, and the food was great. Will be back for sure 👍

We had a beautiful meal, Homemade burger, with bacon & cheese, chunky wedges with coleslaw followed by Warm Apple pie with ice cream and a lovely cappachino, great value for money, good atmosphere very relaxing and well laid out covid signage, social distancing and sanitizing stations. A definate must if your in the area.

So glad we went here! Found this randomly as a close lunch option to the Cliffs of Moher, and not only was the food quite good, but the service was outstanding. We felt welcomed and at home (the kids even got to meet the chefs and help wait tables).

We showed up about 8pm no reservations, room was great went over to the restaurant sat at the bar and had a wonderful chat with the man who ran the restuarant. Was retiring that night. Next morning went to breakfast enjoyed the food and kathy the owner. Very happy with our stay.

I came upon The hunters lodge quite by accident and what a happy accident it was. I’d been driving through the Burren and by 2:30 I was ready for dinner (aka lunch). The proprietor (Robert?) was convivial and fixed me up right with a brilliant turkey / veg / a bit of mash and even threw in a salad! Delightful. I even learned what he meant when he told a regular patron that the Guinness was “soft.” Seems there was a refrigeration issue and the pint would not have been the usual 3°. Highly recommend sitting by the hearth for your nourishment and drink! Cheers!

Your traditional local Irish pub. The locals were super friendly to my two crazy children and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The food itself was great. The kids food seemed to consist of actual meet! I hope to visit again if I'm on the west coast of Ireland.

Basic accommodation in centre of Newmarket on Fergus plenty good enough for 1 night stay. I'd go for upstairs rooms due to a few squeaky floorboards. Breakfast provided average. It is what it is. Ring for best price
