Went there for a family Sunday lunch. The rooms are so well laid out in terms of creating a welcoming ambience. The food was exceptional but the service made the whole experience come together seamlessly by being welcoming, efficient but not overbearing. A highly enjoyable experience to a highly recommended location. Well done!

Wonderful restraunt situated in the beautiful village of Clover Hill. The staff could not be friendlier nor more helpful. The food was, without excption, delicious, each and every course. In terms of value for money the fact that this is not my first time there nor will it be my last, speaks volumes.

Fantastic place to get away from the world. Very welcoming, lovely atmosphere, fabulous staff. The food is excellent and in these times of covid, the staff took every precaution to protect my family and themselves, unobtrusively but effectively. If anything speaks to their dedication to an outstanding experience it was their care and friendly efforts to make us feel comfortable and safe. Highly recommend a visit for a meal or a night or two.

Oh wow this place is fantastic. The food is just simply the best service is amazing. Very highly recommend. One note, it is custom to order your meal in the lounge area before heading to dining room. I had never ever eaten this way but was told it is local custom. This place is simple perfect.

Went for dinner here one Saturday evening recently with my partner and could not have been more thrilled with the experience. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. We were served by a very sweet and attentive brown haired girl, lovely manners and very polite. all staff were very welcoming. Would definitely come again if not only for the dessert which was fabulous(my partner ordered the crumble which I ate most of because I didn’t order one myself, needless to say I won’t make the same mistake!)

Had delicious meal, beautiful restaurant, excellent staff, so friendly and polite and not in your face every five minutes. Yet they were very attentive and knew when you needed something. My daughters wedding day plans were changed (due to Covid restrictions)to a small intimate gathering of 16. I contacted Laura in The Olde Post Inn who was extremely helpful & accommodating. Nothing they couldn't do to help & make them feel at ease, stress free! From beginning to end it was a lovely day. The food was excellent with a lovely menu choice, the staff were very attentive & helpful, the atmosphere was charming and cosy. 10 of the guests stayed overnight, lovely cosy rooms & great breakfast. The staff followed all the Covid guidelines. I would rate The Olde Post Inn 10/10 and wish to thank all the staff in The Olde Post Inn for making Niamh & Fearghals Wedding Day so special & memorable. Excellent food fantastic service. Beautiful location. The only weird thing was you order dinner in the lounge area while waiting to be seated. Seems this is normal in Ireland. But highly recommend.

A bright modern setting with a touch of the old we were welcomed into the waiting room by a warm friendly staff. We waited in comfort and had our orders taken while we waited fir or table. An excellent place to relax and eat. Being a bit out of the way you will need Google maps to get there (if not familiar with the area).

We had a meal there and it was very pleasant. Food is tasty and well presented but courses are not very big for the prices. I must say that the Indian waiter has an excellent personality and very polite with the customers and that goes for all the staff. All in all a good experience but expensive

An absolute treasure in West Cavan serving the most divine foods be it for evening dinner or Sunday lunch. Good choice of fish & vegetarian options too and their early bird menu is certainly a good deal. It's a real treat with an extensive wine list. Offers overnight accommodation at reasonable rates. Great and knowledgeable service, and always with a smile. Well worth a visit.

During my visit I was very lucky to be invited in this restaurant. A warm welcome followed by super food. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection. It reminded me of George Blanc 3 stars restaurant dish. A must if on menu. The wine list is also very good and you will find a good compliment to all dishes on offer.

The atmosphere is relaxing and calm yet there's a faint sound of the busy kitchen in the distance. The food is the finest I've tasted. The flavour is just amazing. The Chef Gearoid Lynch is a gentleman and a genius. Staff are so warm and friendly. First class!

We've had our wedding reception at they olde post inn on Friday, everything was exceptional, the staff were brilliant, the food was just perfect, extremely high quality, plenty to eat and exceptional to look at. Tara, Laura, and everyone have been so accommodating and so good with us, I cannot recommend the olde post enough. The building itself is stunning and worth a visit on its own.

Booked a table on the 25th Nov 2018 for my wife & I for 5.30pm.Traveled from Kilmessan Co Meath . Did not know what to expect as never there before. Has to be the best kept secret in Cavan . Everything about this restaurant is just excellent . From Laura meeting us in the bar, to explaining the menu .Also the sample of venison sausage given at the bar. Very nice . Food & service could not be faulted . Very professional from start to finish . Have eaten all over the world , but this restaurant has it in every way . Nevin Maguire watch out . From the moment we stepped inside we were made to feel welcome and important..coats were taken and we were shown to seat beside an open fire to enjoy a drink before dinner...while waiting we were given our menus and our orders were taken so upon being shown to our table we had nothing to do but enjoy the wine...service was professional and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble...the food was first class ..we had a small delay with our desserts due to a mix up in the kitchen and besides apologising profusely we were offered a round of drinks from the bar on the house...a nice touch..only draw back is the menue is a set price for a 4 course meal so you cant just order a main or 2 courses...it was a little pricey but the food, staff and atmosphere made it worth it...no small portions here either
