L. C.Great spot for a drink and top place to watch sports. Huge t.v. Upstairs has a dance floor also. Would highly recommend this place when visiting Kilkenny. We were there for a stag and no trouble with staff or bouncers
G. B.We did did the ghost tour and dinner package. Absolutely loved both - I had a steak sandwich and it was really good. The tour was great fun and would definitely do it again. I had a pint but my friend didn't so could be a great start before drinks in kilkenny or something fun to do on a Friday night if you're not drinking!

J. B.Barman was a professional, kept everyone's pints full while having a chat with everyone and keeping everyone happy. He doesn't like Islands Edge.. I don't blame him. Great food. Bouncer was rude to a member of staff in an unfair manner so will dock a star for this.

M. S.We stayed in the new “apartments” that the company is branching out too. We slept two families, so there is quite a bit of space. Our reception inside wasn’t great but outside you can get signal. Besides not yet having wifi, and a few other kinks of opening a new place, the apartment was good.
The apartment is next to the old city wall, the outside has a nice private sitting area with a picnic table.
There is a hob, oven, mini fridge, and microwave. As it is new there isn’t a collection of leftover food/cooking ingredients from previous guests so we had to buy a few bits n bobs.
The customer service was good. he met us at the gate and showed us the place. He also brought us extra pillows and blankets when we asked.
The apartment is right in the city, you couldn’t get more central. Quick walk to the dunnes shop, near the castle and within walking distance of almost anything in kilkenny.
Overall good stay, the price was a bit more then we would normally pay to stay somewhere. But we enjoyed our time and would probably come back again.

R. D.Soul less wannabe Bar. Lost identity. Doesn't know if it wants to be a Diner, a Sports Bar or a Pub. €6.50 for a pint bottle of Bulmers? Seriously? It's not in the middle of Temple Bar. It's Kilkenny. Won't be back.

C. E.We were looking for a lunch spot after visiting the Kilkenny Castle and we saw this restaurant. There were 8 of us and we decided to stop in since the menu had something on it to satisfy everyone.
The food was very good, the service was great and the prices were right. The servers couldn't have been nicer with us.
We had a very nice time, thoroughly enjoying our lunch.
While there, we were able to view a giant screen television that was showing soccer (football) during our meal. I have never seen a larger screen television than this one. I can imagine that during a critical soccer (football) match, this restaurant could be full of devoted fans rooting on their teams. This could become a fun place to be very quickly with a television screen of this size.
Stop in for some good food, good drink, good friends and giant screen entertainment. Good times!
C. C.Service was slow for food and my son wasn't happy with his dish no curry sauce and then when he asked for the curry sauce he was waiting 15 mins if not more then the curry sauce was cold when it arrived won't eat here again
M.My husband and I went here for the Hurling Experience and then stayed for a meal after. The hurling was fantastic and our guide taught us the history of the game before we walked to the pitch and played. I would take the tour again! The food was okay but the beer was fantastic after playing for two hours.

C.Went in here just to see what it was like. Didn't really get a great vibe from it (Saturday night). Although the bar does food, I didn't get any but from what it looked like, it looked nice, so may have to pub in to try it again. The bar in itself is massive inside and there's alot of Televisions and around. Would be a great spot for the big matches.

Staff are great, great drinks selection and there was a good offer of 2 for 1 cocktails. Can't wait to go back!
R. F.Ideal for a stag, and the rating is based on this suitability. I wouldn't recommend here for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amenable, conscientious and entertaining throughout. They even opened the bar early to watch the lions match at 9am. I'd recommend it for a stag/hen but be warned if you're here for something else.

N. T.Food was phenomenal and the live music was great! They lost our order in the back so we went without food for 50 minutes, but the manager noticed and bought us all a round and the food was just that good. Would definitely recommend.

G.The place was packed when we arrived at about 11p on a Friday night, but we were able to squeeze our way in and make it to the bar where we actually got a good amount of space to stand around and grabbed some bar stools. We ran into what we thought was a stag party since one of the gentlemen was wearing a BDSM outfit and a ball-gag, but as it turns out he just found it at the last bar in the bathroom and decided to put it on for a gag. So those of the types of people you're luckily to run into here. The live traditional Irish music was loud but good and the place did have a club-like atmosphere, but even the 60-year-olds in our group had a great time.

S. C.Lanigans is a great little pub in Kilkenny. They have an excellent whisky selection, and surprisingly we're able to put American football on for us. The staff were friendly and helpful and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
C. K.Rowdy crowd on a Thursday night. The Irish band was great but the crowd was wasted and rowdy, a little too much for our taste but if you want to get pissed with the locals (in Ireland that means drunk, not angry!) this might be a good place for you!
