Just finished a 3 day stay at rafters and I have to say from start to finish the stay was 100% the place is spotless clean. The staff becky and abbie were very accommodating and went above And beyond to help and assist us all. A particular shout out to Gerry the owner his hospitality was absolutely great. Thanks to the chef for the amazing food it was delish 😋. And if your looking for an amazing cocktail ask for Peter. Can't wait to come back again soon.

Stayed in rafters a few weeks back on a stag. The staff were very accommodating and the food was fantastic! The rooms are clean and comfortable . Would highly recommend Gerry and the gang for a weekend away! Will definitely be coming back

Great location. Rooms basic but very comfortable. Breakfast was so nice and really fresh also plenty cold selection. Alan and all the gang couldn’t do enough for you 😀 would very much recommend to anyone visiting Kilkenny 👍

Good food , not a great variety though . Rooms basic enough , no tea ,coffee facilitiles in bedroom , beds not comfortable ,very noisy , window very bad could hear all the noise as if it was in the room with you , no lining on the curtains looked cheap let all the light in, could not sit on toilet properly as there was not enough space between it and the wall . Lowerthan a normal b&b i thought plus a lot of stags and hens staying there and could hear every noise from the room across and also from underneath as well

Our golf society stayed overnight here. We enjoyed a nice meal and drinks and could have a sing song till late. Accommodation was basic but it was all we needed.

Liked this pub. Great large screen for games. Good alcohol selection. Small pub but really friendly. Bar manager went out of her way to make me welcome. I'd mentioned, for example that my phone had died. Within seconds she was routing through a box of old chargers and had my phone plugged in and charged. It's the little things, her and the other bar staff's positive manner made all the difference. Definitely worth a visit.

Myself and my husband were up from cork for a few days and we popped in here for our dinner...such a welcoming bar considering all the guidelines...the owner(sorry i didnt get his name)was such a lovely man...he was so chatty without imposing...he printed of info about a climb we were doing the nxt day and anything we asked as on touristy .info he obliged us with his knowledge...the dinner waz top notch....really enjoyec it...we would reccommend this pub very much so👌👌😁

I had a lovely stay here the rooms could be improved but the rest was lovely. The staff was just so friendly and helpful and really accommodating. The breakfast really hit the spot full irish and there was also a continental breakfast there also loved it . Would recommend for a stag or just a group of friends put for a brill time in kilkenny.

There was a free soup offer with main course on which was very nice. Cod special was a bit dry and tasteless. good selection of food and drinks and food local bar.

We were given a room near the smoking area & didnt get a wink of sleep. There was also constant noise in the room above us. Floor boards v thin. If you are young & dont mind noise it would be ok. If the other side of 50 & want quiet go somewhere else. In its favour, the bar was fine & they had a gt band.

Great gig during the Kilkenny Roots festival. The place was packed but the staff handled it well and we got a comfortable seat. What's not to like?

Perfect BNB or just for the pub. We took the BNB option, the rooms have some private bathroom and toilet, we have all the space we want. ++ The pub is in the sme building, it really matches the expectation of an Irish pub.

Exceptional staff, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to satisfy our requests. Average food, great beers. Not suitable for stays longer than two/three nights but the location is absolutely perfect if you intend to visit the centre.
