Delicious food! We had dinner and dessert there Friday evening. Wide range of options available on the menu. Really tasty food, well priced, pleasant atmosphere and the staff were all super friendly.

Stopped here for brunch with my mam we were passing through and the food was delicious! I got the feta and squash toast with poached eggs on sourdough and I couldn’t fault it, eggs were cooked perfectly and so tasty. My mam got the chorizo skillet and that was so good. Great coffee and lovely staff super friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and next time I’m down that way would go again.

Was just in the restaurant before we headed back home from Kenmare and have to say I was so impressed with the service we received. The staff were so welcoming and pleasant and we felt truly looked after for the whole time we were there- food was lovely too! Really generous portion sizes will most definitely be back if we are passing through again!

Had the nicest lunch here today! I had the vegan bruschetta (I’m not vegan but it sounded lovely) and my partner had the black pudding and onion light bite. We both loved our choices, perfect size for lunch, very happy! 😁

You know when you eat too much and then you regret it...Ya no regrets here! I now feel like I'm carrying triplets instead of just 1 but by God the meal was delicious. I got the Creamy Pesto Farfalle Pasta with chicken. A large pasta bowl with just the right amount of chicken and pesto, topped up with almond shavings in a bed of rocket leaves. I'm typing this as I sit here at Davitt's, that's how lovely it was. The meal came appropriately quickly and it was fresh! That's a feat for any Chef. A quality meal. 5 stars, great service too, the staff are cool, quick and polite. I'm usually disappointed with deserts because they are rarely fresh later in the afternoon, but the Baked Cheesecake was as fresh as it could get, not too sweet either ♥️ Great job guys!

A beautiful restaurant with great friendly service. We had no booking and they were able to accommodate us by seating us in their well spaced out beer garden. The food was amazing and the wait was just right. If you are in Kenmare this place is well worth the visit.

My girlfriend and I had a a meal in Davitt's recently and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Covid Certs were scanned before entry and there was plenty of room between tables. We had the Chicken Curry, Fish and Chips and Crumble, all of which were excellent. The staff were attentive, pleasant and chatty which all made for a lovely meal and was very good value for money also. Very highly recommended and will visit again soon.

Class accommodation and brunch really excellent .I met owner and people running restaurant great staff very nice to chat with and food prepared from local producers class dishes very well run accommodation ,food and drink also .Coffee was very nice too they have wide selection for all tastes and owner works hard to please every customer I noticed very easy to deal with .Inside very clean and tidy lots of air lots of spaces between customers highly recommend for all culinary tastes and recent prices too .

We stayed in Davitts for 4 nights. We would highly recommend this hotel to all our friends & family. It's a little gem. Five Star treatment here. A big thank you to Kevin , Mary & all thier team at Davitts. Our room was a standard double but was huge with a large ensuite. It was absolutely spotless. The food was superb. We ate in the bar/restaurant two nights. Service was excellent even though the crew where stretched because of the short staffing issues that Covid has brought they never looked phased. The breakfast menu is fantastic. As I said Five Star. One to remember. Thanks for helping us enjoy our stay in Kenmare. Maurice & Jan.

The best food we had in Ireland so far! The mussels were awesome and the steak with pepper sauce was very well made. Seasoned veg is quite hard to find, but that was superb. The staff was great as well. Would always go back for dinner, when I'm in the area.

We ate here recently and the food was good. However, the staff were all over the place. The place wasn’t really that busy and we had 4 different waiting staff at some point during the meal. This lead to a lengthy delay receiving our main. To be fair to the management they were understanding and did deduct a good bit from the bill.

Superbly located in the centre of town, Davitts' is a 3 star hotel with 5 star customer service, food and hospitality. The staff here really were superb in welcoming us, cannot say enough about them. The breakfast was excellent with a range of options. We also dined in and am happy to report the dinner menu was varied and delicious. Superb value.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful in Davitt's. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family who visit the area. There were 5 people in our group, 4 of us had the sirloin steak and each one was cooked exactly as requested. We all sent our compliments to the chef. Lovely people, food and great atmosphere. Nice restaurant in the center of Kenmare. Very friendly staff, excellent food. Great for a Sunday lunch, nothing fancy but meat and fish (salmon) up to a high standard and at a very fair price. Great chips and fine wine and beer. The speed of service on Sunday afternoon when the place was clearly understaffed, was remarkable. We"ll be back!

Went here for dinner during our trip to Kenmare. Not the best restaurant in town. Lacks atmosphere and the food was just OK. I had the burger and it was super dry and overcooked, although my husband enjoyed his food. Good bar and friendly staff.

Beautiful meal, lovely atmosphere and good service.<br/>The seafood chowder was very creamy and delicious and the beef rib was extremely tender, the meat fell off the bone. This was served with creamy mash and crisp steamed vegetables. Delicious.

My mother and I got the roasted chicken on potatoes and bacon bits. It was incredible! My dad on the other hand got a rib eye and was not a big fan of it. Overall it was a great experience and we were asked if we would want to sit by the fire place or back in the restaurant. I think it may be customary to ask for your check when you are ready because we have noticed in many locations the check won't be brought to us unless we ask.

Excellent value for money guesthouse in the centre of Kenmare. The room, bed and breakfast were all very good. Very friendly and helpful host. The town's restaurants and bars are seconds to a few minutes away at most. Like other guesthouses in the town, parking can be a challenge, with restrictions on daytime parking on tbe street, although I was lucky to get a space at the rear of the property. I would happily stay here again.

Mary is the kindest hostess, and they make the best porridge imaginable. The rooms were clean and nice and had a fan to keep the temperature comfortable. It’s in a great location in Kenmare as well—right downtown next to shops, pubs, and restaurants.

We had one of the best meals EVER at Davitt's in Kenmare. We started with an appetizer of jalapeno potato pancake with a side salad that was the perfect portion for two. My wife had lamb shank, which was served on a bed of green onion mashed potatoes along with root vegetables. She shared, delicious! I ordered a broiled filet of halibut, which was also served on the green onion mashed and asparagus. It melted in my mouth! Fantastic service and great ambiance!

Review of the restaurant: i didn’t find a menu online, which I think is the only downside. We booked a table for 9 people and the restaurant was full and we still didn’t wait long. I was shortly disappointed that they didn’t have Irish stew, bangers and mesh or bacon and cabbage but looking through the menu I was convinced that I will find what I like. We had pasta which was delicious, basked salmon was great as well as beef steak. I had Davitt’s Medley of Pork which was great. At the end we ordered brownies and all of agreed they they were tasty. My friend who is vegetarian didn’t find any options on the menu, but the waiter presented her vegetarian alternatives. Prices seemed to me quite high for west of Ireland. I would go there again.
