i. c.Had a 4-course christening meal here (9 people) and service and food were both excellent. Aisling was superb at being in contact and organizing it for us to have our own corner, providing nice little touches that we hadn't thought of. The portions were not only huge, but also of high quality and staff-member Tracy went the extra mile to settle our baby so that we could enjoy an uninterrupted meal and was very efficient and friendly with her service.
Great place, and locally-owned, meaning the money we paid stays within the village, rather than some multinational. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a great meal and support local business.

Afternoon tea in the piano cocktail bar ,with beautiful Christmas decorations and a warm open fire added to a truly a memorable experience.
I would highly recommend afternoon tea with a selection of mouthwatering sandwiches, cakes and other delicious treats. Amazing cocktails made by Shelby, so friendly and accommodating really added to our wonderful stay. Highly recommend can't wait to visit again!

B.Although the rooms are tired and need updating, there’s no lift for disabled access and it looked like there was paint on every surface of the hotel room I still give the hotel 4 stars because of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us from the morning staff right through the the reception. The breakfasts were first class and the bar was opened for us specifically. Nothing was too much bother. Some investment in interior and a lift, and this place would be a gem.

B. H.This hotel and restaurant feels like a timeless mainstay in the town. Highlight was the warm, cozy, traditional lobby with an always-lit fireplace and lots of little comfortable nooks that is a great place to take a drink from the bar to. The restaurant was very good as well and the views if you can get a front facing room are great. Room 5 is very large with a king size bed. The shower had lousy water pressure, but that was the only real downside.

P.My wife and i enjoyed a meal here whilst staying nearby on a weekend break on the friday night so much so we decided to go back on the saturday night but could not be seated despite seeing empty seats in an area just off the bar which must have been for breakfast but could have been used we werent the only ones turned away , however we returned on sunday night at 7pm again to be turned away because service had stopped ? Now i must say the staff and surroundings were very pleasant but owners may neef to review some policies, turning business away when there are options is surely not the best business plan ?

Great fresh food made to order based on preference.3 out of 4 at table were vegetarian and although there went many options, what was available was beautiful & for a change nutritionally balanced, fresh & interesting. Only negative is men's loo (im told) was yukky but they fixed it immediately. 👍

However, the rooms are very out-dated and old-fashioned, but apart from this, Arnolds Hotel is probably the best place to stay in Dunfanaghy.
J. K.Just back from a fabulous stay in Arnolds Hotel. We had such a blast that we tried to extend our trip but alas it was booked out. Aisling, Ciarain and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful..planned out our whole stay for us. I'd never been to that part of Donegal and couldn't get over how beautiful it was. The location of the hotel was great - everywhere was walkable - and the kids loved the playground up the road. We ate in Cafe Arnou on the first night were we had the best burgers. On the second night we dined in the hotel which was also delicious and a great kids menu too. Atmosphere in both places was buzzing also. Children were very welcomed in the hotel - staff chatting and engaging with them. Will definitely be back - sooner than planned.

S.Arnold's hotel and Dunfanaghy is the nicest and most picturesque place I've ever seen.Lovely staff in hotel with a cosy feeling to the place.The we main Street has some interesting craft shops.Plenty to go and see around the area from beaches,mountains,forests and Horn Heads cliff which is stunning .My girlfriend and I loved this place and with proper wet gear and clothing we enjoyed Walking many sites through rain wind and muck which just added to our we adventure.As Arnie says "il be back".

A. K.The food is fantastic. Best ingredients prepared super tasty. The staff is great! The rooms are renovated and clean, many also have new bathrooms. Some of the furniture is old, but functional and in order. Many comfortable seating areas and a fireplace round off the stay.

• Well located (supermarket, café and pub right next door)
• Directly by the sea (!)
• Great activities possible (horse riding along the beach, diving, extensive hiking tours, surfing school and much more)
... I really enjoyed my vacation there, the residents and hotel staff are incredibly friendly
And everything else was GREAT!

P. Q.Food has improved here! I ate here 3 days during August this year (2018) and I was not disappointed! I basically started out with chips and a piece of chicken which was undeniably delicious. Another night I had a kind of noodles that were on their menu as "tender strips of chicken" or something like that. The meal was delicious but I suggest you get chips with it.
