We had a family meal in the restaurant for my dads 80th birthday. Lots of family stayed overnight and were over the moon with a fabulous breakfast. From the start to finish everything was fantastic! Great food, a beautiful birthday cake, great service and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone who looked after us!

Long time since we were in Cooneys for lunch- firstly - all Covid compliant- very busy! Meal Service- was fast, food hot and we both had Omelettes- which were tasty, well presented. We were on a cycling holiday and stopped off in Cooney's Hotel. It's a realatively small hotel over a pub, but don't be put off as this is a real gem. There is a warmth and friendliness from all the staff that is getting harder to find Ireland today. The food is excellent, if anything the portions are a little too big. One thing that stands out is the cleaniness. They would really put many bigger more expensive hotels to shame. Well done to everyone working there, this is a credit to them all.

Clann gaels juniors in westmeath had there team bonding day in baysports and made the trip back to cooneys for dinner amd from the very first phone call to book in with cooneys Mick and josie were so helpfull, the food was absolutley lovely and the service from all staff was amazing, so on behalf of Clann Gaels team, managment and commitee we want to thank Mike, Josie amd all staff for a great meal it was much appreciated by all.

Lovely 3 course meal. Starters were fab! Waitresses were brilliant at serving large party, food all came out together, nobody left waiting. Orders all correct and handed to the right person.Kitchen well run. Very accommodating for vegetarian meal.
