c. f.Drive past this place nearly everyday but haven’t been able to call in as much as I should. Have to say the food hit the spot. Simple things like putting a gherkin in a burger (95% of Irish restaurant burgers don’t have gherkins!), crispy skinny fries, brioche bun and friendly service to boot. Look forward to coming back again

V. K.You have to remember this hotel was closed for a 3 month lockdown and only opened this morning,
Rooms we adequate for what we needed, shower was a tad small but the water was piping hot and lots of gel and shampoo.
Loads of hand gel and good information about Covid all over.
Food was fantastic, there was 7 of us in total and the bill for a 3 course meal and loads of drinks was €235, great value, well served and the staff fantastic.
I would stay here again, double room and a room with 3 beds cost €170 again great value.
Staff work hard so please tip well.

The person checking us in was friendly and helpful and the room had a coffee pot with tea and coffee, but the room itself wasn't the cleanest and had damage on the ceiling and walls. Seemed like a safe area and the restaurant/bar downstairs served very good food.

Follow up review
2 years ago I wrote the above review and I would like to add that Hatton's is still superb. Have recommended to several friends and will continue to do so. Food, staff and facilities are excellent!!!!
S. O.We were booked in for 2 nights and ended up booking an extra night because we loved it so much. An absolute bargain for such a beautiful place. I was going in with very low expectations because of the price but I left very pleased. We stayed in room 15. Staff were very friendly too
C. R. V.Given the area the cost was fair but ultimately expensive for what they have to offer. We ordered burgers at the bistro and I was disappointed by the lack of effort but the salad was great. Seems a little understaffed and I don't know if the waitress was wearing pants at all because I saw about a quarter of her bottom quite a few times, unprofessional in my opinion. Checking out was a hassle as there is no place to leave keys until 10am, leaving keys in rooms or outside seems a little dangerous. Terrible WiFi , wouldn't be going again if I had a choice.

Hatton's is extremely well located on the R158 half way between Kilcock and Summerhill and within easy reach of numerous high profile tourist attractions.

Restaurant: Cozy. The food is nothing special, but okay. It is not flavored at all. The mashed potatoes were also very hard.
The wait staff forgot our beer.
Hotel: Cozy and clean. We had almost no toilet paper left. But we did not realize that until nobody was there anymore. In addition, two lamps did not work, so it was relatively dark. The room is large and the water pressure is above average for Irish standards.

Restaurant: Gemütlich. Das Essen ist nichts besonderes, aber okay. Es ist überhaupt nicht gewürzt. Der Kartoffelpüree war auch sehr hart.
Die Bedienung hat unser Bier vergessen.
Hotel: Gemütlich und sauber. Wir hatten so gut wie kein Klopapier mehr. Das haben wir aber erst festgestellt, als keiner mehr da war. Außerdem funktionierten zwei Lampen nicht mehr, weshalb es relativ dunkel war. Das Zimmer ist groß und der Wasserdruck ist für irische Verhältnisse überdurchschnittlich.
