Wonderful place to visit and stay. My family and I had a great time. Catherine and staff so welcoming and warm.
Rooms are set up beautifully with a cosy sitting room to sit and enjoy a beverage, overlooking the garden.
Attended a one day cookery course with Julian which was amazing. I definitely recommend making this a part of your stay in Dunbrody house.
I look forward to visiting again.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend in Dunbrody House Hotel last weekend. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was top marks, every course was so tasty! Staff are 5/5 especially Pat so friendly and helpful also Evan so friendly also. It was lovely to spend Sunday afternoon having a drink in such a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to Catherine for being so friendly and nothing was a problem. We will be back thanks.

My husband and I treated ourselves to dinner bed and breakfast in Dunbrody County House Hotel for our wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. It is a beautiful house, lovingly maintained in a manner sympathetic to its original style. The owner, Catherine, greeted us on arrival and was the epitome of Irish hospitality. The staff were friendly, courteous and chatty. Our room on the second floor was airy and spacious with views over the extensive gardens. As for the food! Dinner was a culinary treat. Great food, locally sourced and beautifully presented. Delicious. We had drinks on the terrace before and after dinner. A lovely covered area just outside the bar, with a delightful fountain and gorgeous, scented, standard rose trees. Breakfast the next morning was delightful. Our table overlooked the garden, the food was cooked to order and the staff could not have been more friendly.
Dunbrody Country House is a calm, relaxing, luxury retreat on the Hook peninsula and I would highly recommend it.

Just returned home after 2 lovely days at Dunbrody House and will definitely be returning. It was like stepping back in time into a beautiful Gentleman's residence of bygone days. We stayed in room 206 which had a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. From the moment we arrived until we checked out we were made to feel so welcome by every member of staff we came in contact with. The evening meals on both nights were excellent as were our breakfasts.
The homemade jam on both mornings was absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking for somewhere different for a relaxing chill out few days with no pretentiousness then we would definitely recommend it. Can't wait to return.

My mam and I treated ourselves to a two night break at Dunbrody Country House. The staff were immensely helpful, friendly and courteous. Our garden suite was very comfortable with a back door leading on to the garden. Food was first-rate. The staff (inc. chef's) made every effort to accommodate my many food intolerances!
Special thanks to Catherine for her directions out of Dunbrody - much better than Google's!! We’ll be back.

Two friends and I spent one night in late September in Dunbrody. The quiet charm of the old house suited our mood perfectly. The staff was friendly, the rooms were lovely - mine was particularly beautiful - and the food was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dunbrody House, the house and gardens are beautiful, staff are very friendly and efficient. Lunch, dinner and breakfast were all delicious, the raspberry mousse especially so. The place has a lovely relaxed vibe, I would highly recommend and hope to be back again.

After a year of not travelling, we could not have imagined a more restful escape from the city. Dunbrody house and grounds are spacious enough to feel like the place is your own and the gardens are beautifully maintained. The food was a delight, especially the donuts (!), and we regretted not having more meals/opportunities to order the lobster, which looked incredible. The surrounding area has plenty to offer from beaches to historical landmarks and our two nights were not enough.
We were so impressed by the level of care, warmth and professionalism that Catherine (the owner) showed when dealing with a minor hiccup on our arrival and otherwise throughout our stay. All the staff did their best to make us feel comfortable and the family were so welcoming that we can’t recommend this place enough. We’ve experienced our fair share of country houses around Ireland. This one achieves the perfect balance of quality, price, location, and hospitality. We look forward to returning.

Top class. Stayed for 2 night's. Ate in both restaurants. Might actually have preferred the seafood bar just by a bit (I had the sirloin steak with bernaise sauce instead of seafood. .. gotta learn to make that sauce). Some fella who says he owns the place made scones on Saturday morning in his kitchen studio !! Been listening to his voice all over covid lockdowns.... and it made my wife's day/ month/year. Thanks to all the people there. Great experience.

Dunbrody House is definitely a place to stay, the bedroom was very cosy and the pillows on our bed were the best I have ever slept on.The food in both the restaurant and seafood bar was superb. All the staff were so helpful from Triona at reception right through the whole hotel.I would highly recommend a visit.Thank you to all for a most enjoyable weekend.

Tea and coffee was awful. Maybe something wrong with water. Curtains in room 207 wouldn't close and that resulted in my partner not getting a good night's sleep. No sugar on table. Despite all we had a lovely time. Would not return as there are many places as good at much better rates.

Very relaxing couple of days, couldn't ask for better staff anywhere, always helpful and polite, house is magnificent and the food as you would expect is spectacular

Just back from a fantastic 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Very warm welcome at the reception from a professional staff member who informed us of all the Covid 19 Protocols and a brief about the food and beverage offerings. The food at the restaurant is outstanding and service was warm and genuine.
We will look forward to a return in the winter when the fires are lighting.
Wishing the team continued success

I stayed in Dunbrody house for an important birthday with 11 family members.
Kevin, Catherine and all the staff went out of their way to accommodate us after reopening in July.
We stayed in the lodge with 6 family members, which was fabulous and other family members stayed in the cabin which was great value for 3 bedrooms.
We were probably a bit gregarious for the quiet couples who were there but fair play to Dunbrody for accommodating my big party of 12 and other couples staying in a beautiful country house.
Wonderful experience Kevin and Catherine thank you !

Dunbrody is world class in many respects. No hesitation in giving it a 5 star review. Staff and welcome is superb. Our bedroom was of the highest standard and very well appointed. It' was such a treat to just be able to chill and soak up all that was on offer. The very visible presence of the owners Kevin and Catherine directly serving and engaging with guests as part of a team that were focussed on making sure your stay was everything it needed to be. Just wonderful. This particular evening we had the additional benefit of west end musical pieces delivered right in the dining room by top professionals. Top class entertainment with amazing food and perfectly paired wines. All in all nothing we could fault from beginning to end and that is remarkable.

Had a fab weekend in Dunbrody house hotel with my daughter but very disappointed that Kevin Dundon wasn’t there to greet us he could have made the effort

A delightfully relaxing hotel, where the food is wonderful. The staff too were so friendly and very efficient.

Lovely place to call to for food, drink or just a stroll. Beautiful old house set in a lovely estate. Food was lovely and very well presented. Staff young and very friendly. After eating went for a lovely stroll around the gardens. They is also a bar on the grounds in the stable section. Walked to it for a look.

We came from New Jersey and were driving through Ireland. I client of mine recommended this place. I booked two rooms for my family for a one night stay. I came just for the food which was highly recommended by my client. We had a very nice experience. The lodge and grounds were impressive. My daughter did complain of mysterious bug bites all over her body after we checked out but she was the only one of us to have such a problem. Rooms were elegantly decorated and I liked that they had music running when we checked in. It is not a new building of course but it is nicely decorated and has lots of charm.
The restaurant was excellent. The food was excellent. We had a delicious meal which was preceded by drinks at the bar. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the lodging.
The owner was very personable and we had a nice chat at check out.

I've had several wonderful visits to Dunbrody over the last number of years. It's the sort of place you look forward to coming back to. The rooms (those beds!) are inviting and oh so comfortable. You can admire the views across the parkland from the rooms or enjoy the terrace. The staff are very friendly and as for the food... well scrumptious as you'd expect. The buttermilk pancakes at breakfast...mmm.
Fortunately I still have some reasons to go back... cookery school for one thing and another trip to the spa. Looking forward to it!
P. S.
I expected more of the food, salad starter was dry without dressing and our luch lasted an extra hour due to the length of time people were chewing the beef. No idea why that Yorkshire pudding sat naked on the side of my plate. Desert was delicious even though it looked nothing like an apple tart. Chef has a serious case of 'I know best' (or was away for the day). Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and grounds. On the cold day that we visited, the hotel was very cosy.

Loved Staying here - old house charm with a cool vibe !!
Staff are very warm and welcoming.
Bedrooms are elegant and the beds are soooo comfortable.
Love the option of dining in the dining room with the full menu or using the Champagne bar for a lighter choice.
Loved the "pub" too !!!
Can't wait to go back

We've been watching Kevin Dundon on PBS for several years, so naturally we wanted to visit his restaurant if we ever made our way to Ireland. Unfortunately the timing wasn't right on our first visit and we were sorely disappointed. However, on our next visit, we made it a point to travel to County Wexford. We were thoroughly pleased with the entire experience. Ireland is a beautiful country and Dunbrody Country House is a fine example of this beauty. The surroundings were charming and the gardens were well maintained. It was like a postcard. We had reservations for lunch on Sunday. We were promptly greeted and escorted to our table by friendly staff. The server was attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. We placed our orders and received our drinks, when to our surprise, Kevin came to our table and chatted with us for a bit. He even signed a cook book we just happened to have with us in the car. The food soon arrived and we were in heaven. We had been adventurous in our ordering determined to try new things while on holiday and we were not disappointed. The timing between courses was not rushed nor were there any delays.
All in all a fantastic trip and wonderful meal. Well worth the drive from Dublin.
If you are ever in Ireland, I highly recommend a visit here.

Lovely Country house hotel when visiting the Hook Peninsula on Ireland’s south coast with a mix of traditional luxury bedrooms and modern restaurant/kitchen. We stayed in an amazing suite with an adjoining lounge room with cozy comfortable bed and views over the countryside. A real home from home.
Friendly Irish charm family run by husband and wife team Kevin & Catherine Dundon. and when we visited the stunning Autumn colours of the trees and leaves were beautiful.
We had dinner in the Harvest room restaurant in the evening and had a memorable lamb rump and hake followed by Irish cheese platter and the made to order Dunbrody Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream. On another evening we had dinner in the Dundons Champagne Seafood Bar where we had Beef sliders and a fresh fish & chips.
One of the best parts of staying in a country house (beside relaxing and enjoying the scenery) is the Irish breakfast and we had a delicious Cheese, ham & salmon omelette!
Very recommended when visiting the area!

Decor, warm welcome and fab food. Stayed on cold wet winter night and totally enjoyed all the logs fres, candle light and great music playing in the background. Breakfast til 12 was a really unexpected treat. Could not fault our stay except that 1 night was not enough. Nudging hubby for a repeat trip in the summer so I can lounge on the terrace in the sun.

Beautiful house with nice areas to sit and relax. Bedroom we stayed in was spacious and beautifully furnished. Staff extremely helpful. The big let down was the food. We went for the tasting menu which was a disappointment. A lot of repetition of elements of dishes in different courses which just seemed lazy. Food in terms of presentation was not that impressive. Have eaten tasting menu in Gregans Castle which is comparable in cost to Dunbrody tasting menu but Gregans is light years ahead in every respect. Gregans is a real fine dining experience with dishes comparable to what you see on masterchef, Dunbrody very much the poor relation. Possibly we caught them on an off night. To be fair the food at breakfast was fantastic.

The Local Bar has a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely food. The prawn dish I had was delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back.

Love it here.. Stayed twice before.. The place had bad coverage of internet when we stayed, which was great!!! It meant we had to talk to each other and really relax together.. I hope they never change their internet provider..'The Local' is a great spot and the food there is fantastic.. Best Fish and Chips I've had in a long time..

Dunbrody Country House Hotel is one of Ireland's best places for when you need a few days away from the husstle and bustle of every day life or when you have a celebration like your wedding. The minute you arrive you relax in this amazing country house ( that every visitor immediately calls home away from home when they arrive) enjoying the friendliest of hospitality award winning Irish food and much more. To me the lovely walks in the gardens and woodland with a pint at the end in their bar it the Ideal few nights away. As a florist I've also provided flowers for many brides that choose Dunbrody for their wedding celebrations and this way I've seen every element of this amazing business. I'm so happy to award Dunbrody 5*****

The Dunbrody house and grounds lack the sophisticated polish of Mount Juliet Doonbeg but it's more than made up by the excellent menus and cosy atmospheric touches. Making weekend of it will not break the bank, and is in easy reach of Waterford city by river ferry...

(Translated) Beautiful place, as if you were in a Jane Austen movie. We did not stay there but we were able to walk around the gardens. They did not put us any problem. Very friendly.
Near the hotel there is a pub with live music which is great and tastefully decorated. Highly recommended to go through those lands
