Amazing place with a mind blowing view. The food is great, you can enjoy it with beauty of the nature. I am sure that you and your family enjoy it here. Make sure to have a walk alongside of the beach. I enjoyed spending time here. I recommend this place.

Got there was not asked for our vaccination proof. Shown to a table and ignored. Had to go back up to the counter and order our own food and drinks. Shrimp was overcooked and dried out. Not impressed. Total disorganised . Same ever time we go there.I guess you don’t need to impress when you got a beautiful location.

Stopped at the Beach Bar Aughris for lunch today, and so glad we did. The seafood chowder was delicious as was the homemade treacle bread. My husband had the burger which was very good also. Ate outside looking out to the beach and Knocknarea in the distance. The staff were very friendly. Beautiful spot would highly recommend you stop here.

Great bar. Smashing pint of Guinness. The staff were great especially "Small" Sarah and Kevin. Bobby the dog is a welcome relief from the new normal. Thanks to the owner for a lift up the road. Check the place out its highly recommended.

Fantastic campsite with great bar and beach walk. Electric hookup, clean toilet and showers and very reasonably priced. We were completing the Wild Atlantic Way, the campsite was very accommodating of a late check in.

If you are hungry this is the place for food.I had massive king prawns and vegetables stir fry dinner and my little girl had lovely chicken goujon.Staff also very friendly but please be patient if no body serve you quick.I can see they dn't have enough staff due to covid I believe.

Great spot to stay! Beautiful views of the bay! We stayed in the B&B and had breakfast both mornings! The breakfast was amazing, my wife loved their veggie breakfast and said the sausages were the best she's had! The meat option was great too! Only tip here is to make sure that you pre book your dinner! They are very busy! High demand 🙌🏻👌🏻

Food was good and the place has a gorgeous view if you like to sit outside. Fish and chips was a winner, when they say lightly coated they mean it . Service was really slow though, took like 20mins to get attention for the bill and at no stage did anyone come near us to see if everyone was okay or if we needed more drinks. Shame.

Absolutely beautiful spot, friendly hosts, amazing views from our van parked in "the garden", plenty of spaces at the back of the building which also have electric hook up. Pub food great and can be taken out to your van if you want.Aughris head walk is beautiful, not very well sign posted but starts immediately to the left of the small harbour, well worth the walk.

Nice little pub with food. serving Fresh seafood and more standard fare such as Steaks. We just had bowls of soup (was Veg. on the day) & our daughters and their friends had fresh cut chips. Not bad. Not cheap. Can take awhile to be served if they get too much business. Maybe victims of their own success. The views are excellent and apparently it's one of the best surfing beaches too.

Nice location, we stayed in the b&b. The rooms are ok, not too big and they could be a bit cleaner. We had to move one table and bed and there was lots of dirt and dust below. Breakfast was lovely and the pub food is good, too!

This thatched pub is a bit off the beaten path. It is about 30 km from Sligo and although there is a quite nice beach right next to it, you have to want to go there - it is a destination, not a "oh, look, a nice pub by the wayside" kind of establishment. That said, it is totally worth the drive. The atmosphere is very nice, a mixture of old pub feeling and modern restaurant, and the food is truly excellent. They serve fish and chips, soups, burgers, sandwiches and even some pasta. The staff is very nice and friendly, and the prices are fair, yet not really cheap. But the quality of the food justifies the couple of Euros more you have to pay.

A truly unique and beautiful place. A real jem and worth a visit, the food is very tasty and the pint is top class. There is a great atmosphere here most nights. The beach is wonderful for a walk after a good feed. I'd highly recommend you try this place out.

Really a surprising location - I was biking and thought the name sounded interesting, was pleasantly surprised. No food until noon, ordered the wings as they were cheap. They came out pretty good - I can’t imagine you come here for the food but, it’s far from bad, and the location makes it amazing! Really secluded and two dogs that wander around the premise!

This is a beautiful location, with waves breaking on a broad beach and over rugged rocks. There is a reasonably large car park and getting there was quite easy and scenic. The bar was cosy and clean and had a good range of food. The service was very friendly and prompt. We were going to just have a snack, but ended up staying for lunch. This a must see spot during a Wild Atlantic Coast trip.

Loved this place.. food was excellent and camp site was great for the kids..We stayed in the B&B when temp dropped a bit too much for our tent stay.. B&B was great too - lots of space in the family room for the 5 of us. Freshly cooked breakfast was delicious.

Great bar and restaurant within a stone's throw of the sea and breathtaking views. Better to book a table at weekends as was very busy there on the Sunday we went. We still managed to get served with a party of ten. The main courses were excellent quality with very large portions and priced between 12 Euro and 17. Steak was extra. Deserts were hit and miss as my wife's Pavlova was delicious but the Chocolate Banoffi Pie I had was very poor quality and difficult to eat. I didn't eat it. Total cost of the meal came to 165 euros which for four adults and six kids is reasonable as this included some alcohol. The service was fast and friendly. My only other complaint apart from my desert was the bill which was not itemised and had each item listed as "open food" or "micl food"! This is just not very professional in a modern busy restaurant. Having said all that, I would go back and have booked it again.

Smashing little seaside bar in the Irish tradition. Spacious modern loos behind the traditional pub are a pleasant surprise. Good selection of ales and lagers, as you might expect, and a tasty all-day menu. Try the fish chowder and treacle bread. ££.

Beautiful and Peaceful. We were back in The Beach Bar on May Bank Holiday Weekend 2018. The weather was lovely, so we stayed 3 days. We stayed in the Caravan park. There is ample parking also in the main carpark. We frequented the Beach Bar for food daily. We had few drinks each night and enjoyed chat/craic with locals, management & staff. We will be returning very soon.

Fantastic bar right on the beach, has a real fire and a restruant. It stops serving food at 8pm which seems to catch a few people out. The barman Darren is great. There are some mobile homes for rent beside the bar.

Unless you need to stay in a castle, this is a "best buy." Everyone is friendly and you can make grand day trips from here to out and around. .

The Bar & rooms are nestled in a beautiful cove, with a great view of Mebhs Cairn. That nite in the pub, I was talking with a Gentleman, so decided to take his picture. It was the last picture my camera took. Teresa, a lovely woman who works in Sligo, took my camera in the next day to see if it was worth repairing, so I could stay at the Beach(Thanks again Teresa!!). Unfortunately I was now without a camera & @ one of the most beautiful places in Ireland!!! I did the Outstanding! 2 hr Cliff walk the next afternoon, with Clause (Swansea Biker from Germany) & Vicky the Golden Retiever that lives @ the pub. That nite, there was a music session, lots of Bikers from the Swansea Wales Chapter, & a young man only wearing a diaper - he really must love his Fiancee!!??!! I breakfasted with a room full of Bikers & Musicians, everyone in a great mood from last nite, & revving up for an even better Craic that nite!! Unfortunately I had to travel on.........:( The rooms are new, clean & reasonably priced, the beds comfortable, service great, food delicious, & the people lovely!!! Great place to stay for peace & quite -don't go to the pub - or a really lively, diverse evening :) P.S. if you are a single female, & you need your self esteem boosted, this is the place for you! Just had a family birthday celebration there a week ago last Saturday night. There were 20 of us and it was perfect! Some of us walked along the beach over to Dunmoran and Pullyholly Hole before dinner. Then dinner itself at the Beach Bar was fabulous, as it always is! Then the music started and everyone joined in. What fun! We had a late night, staying in Aughris House, the B&B, but the relaxed approach to time for breakfast was wonderful, the breakfast itself was fit for a king, AND we didn't have to check out until 12! Then another walk on the beach to clear the heads and some more lovely nosh for some before heading to our respective homes in the various corners of Connacht. If memory serves me correctly, the Guinness at the Beach Bar is also very good! It's one of my favourite places in Ireland to visit, and am planning on making my visits a regular event before the "summer" ends. My dogs would love the beach!

we arrived there by pure chance on our way back from Sligo, while we were looking for a little beach to take a nap. It feels like we're reaching the end of the world! Overlooking a lonely beach, this typical thatched cottage offers excellent desserts and beers, but also first and second courses

(Translated) Wonderful B&B, the nicest room we have ever had. Sea view, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and one of the best showers so far. WLAN top, breakfast as usual, full Irish freshly prepared, but you can also express other wishes. The pub right next door is very quaint, delicious food as you know it from pubs. Toilets are newly renovated and super modern. Campers are welcome, either on the small meadow next door or in the parking lot. Of course there is also electricity and there are showers and toilets behind the pub. Very highly recommended! (Original) Wunderbares B&B, das schönste Zimmer, das wir bisher hatten. Meerblick, bequemes Bett, großzügiges Bad und eine der besten Duschen bisher. WLAN top, Frühstück wie gewohnt, Full Irish frisch zubereitet, man kann aber auch andere Wünsche äußern. Greatest pub in the world!!!!!! The food is awesome. I didn't trust the store at all. This is the second time we've been here with the motorhome. The hosts are sooooo friendly and helpful. If we visit Ireland again, a visit here will be necessary again.

Very cozy "beach bar" we were totally surprised. We went to the pub at dusk... the beach was unique... also the greeting from the cute "pub dog" On our 14-day tour (October 16) we ate the absolute “BEST” burger here. The desserts were to die for. The young team was friendly and even when we had difficulties communicating, we got a smile. Anyone who is in Sligo or is driving through has to go to the "Beach Bar" :-)
