The food here is great, the fish sticks are the best, it opens late and there are many people

What can one say about Doolys? It's an institution isn't it :) you never leave Tramore without your bag of chips from Doolys. Just one gripe, the afternoon chips are a real let down. One would expect, especially as they've just opened for the day, that the chips would be fresh and delicious. Instead you get a box thet feels like it's been made ahead of time and just reheated. Awful. This had happened 3 times now so unless I'm staying late, when the chips get better, I won't be having any just after opening time. Aside from that they have all the usual foods. Good service. Good choice. Worth queueing for usually. 7/10 if only for all the chips and stuff over the years. Just avoided straight after opening time.

Beautiful fish & chips! Kids loved their burgers & chicken nuggets too. Q was big & took us 30 mins to get served, but it was worth it. Gluten free fish was divine, ** but they do not sell it from main street takeaway, you have to go to the one further uptown. Just so you don't Q at the wrong place like I did. 😁

Do yourself a favor and download the Dooly's app. I spent an hour yesterday trying to find somewhere to get food after work. First place told me that there would be well over a 2 hour wait for takeaway, I then went across the road and put in an order and went to pay by card but turns out they didn't accept card, then I went to a place directly opposite and a typical Karen on holiday who already received her food pushed in front of me and started shouting at the poor young lad behind the counter because "I ordered chunky chips and these are not chunky enough, I want a refund" 🤦 the poor fella. I gave up and pulled out my phone and ordered food on the Dooly's app. I walked the 15 minutes home and I was no longer than a couple of minutes in the door when the delivery guy knocked and as always with any of Dooly's staff handed me the food with a smile. The food was still piping hot. The best fish and chip in Waterford and as always a good sized portion. If you want to skip the massive queue at Dooly's on the prom in the summertime or don't want to wait over 2 hours for takeaway and have your food delivered straight to your door and fast without listening to a Karen complaining about the minute size difference in her chips, then download the app. 10 meals and you get a free meal - I'm one away. Saving that for my next cheat day 😅 Long live Dooly's Tramore 😀

A great bit of fresh fish. The chips were nice. Staff very friendly. I was lucky it wasn't too busy when I called. It can be very busy at times.

The chips are cat, other food like burgers and fish are good but not the chipper it once was a few yr ago, service is quick which is a plus, they always have plenty staff on so no waiting even in big queues. Still the best in tramore in my opinion as the others are dire altogether

I know. Dooleys has long queues which gives you the perception that its iconic. But the chips are limp, soggy and greasy. It's not the staff's fault that they are so busy, so you cant expect any relaxed cheerfulness.

Not much in place of covid restrictions so with the long queues outside expect to have people bumper to bumper waiting to place an order. Cod goujons are mostly batter featuring a small piece of fish, very oily too.
