P Dans is a great spot to relax with stunning views and great hosts,Pauric and Bernie. No fuss, informal with great food and drink at reasonable prices. Best crab claws I have had in years.

The food we had was only average, beef was tough, battered fish were small portions and though we had a reservation, we had only pub tables. Six adults and 8 children. Our waitress was only new and unused to large numbers, she grumbled at being asked to clean the tables before serving the desserts! We had been there before, but I will hesitate before going back.

We dropped in to the Ocean Lodge just after 2pm on a Monday. I had the best food i have tasted in a while. Fresh and cooked to perfection. My French companion was very impressed with the food and also the service. The staff were great craíc and could not do enough for you. The views of the sea were fantastic even if you were not on the terrace, the whole resturant has huge windows. Go and indulge yourself with very,very good food at reasonable prices.

Tranquility in the ever changing light of the West of Ireland, a must stop on the Wild Atlantic Way. Fabulous pint of Guiness and superb views while you enjoy an excellent dinner! Padraig, the bartender oversees the operation, well done!

A great view of the ocean completes the Fischerman ambience of the interior, good food at normal Irish prices and very friendly and nice staff give this place the last of 5 stars. Seh to recommend !!! (Original) Tolles Restaurant. Wir kamen hier auf unsere Irland-Rundreise vorbei und waren begeistert. Ein mega Ausblick auf den Ozean rundet das Fischerman-Ambiente der Inneneinrichtung ab, gutes Essen zu normalen irischen Preisen und sehr freundliches und nettes Personal geben diesem Ort dann letzten von 5 Sterne. Seh zu empfehlen!!!

(Translated) We were actually on the way to Lost valley / Silver strand and only needed a toilet in between and so we discovered Dan's Bar & Restaurant completely unexpectedly. A place that seems to be far from our time. With sunshine and a short rain shower beforehand, this fantastic area, with a view of white sandy beaches and up to the mountain Croagh Patrick, bathed in a light, was simply indescribable. In addition, a huge rainbow suddenly spanned the entire region like a dome. Great location and very nice, completely uncomplicated staff. Despite the fact that a larger family celebration was going on, we were immediately organized a seat and as soon as we had taken off our jackets, a delicious vegetable soup including the best Irish soda bread was on the table. There is only one thing for everything here - thumbs up and 5 stars! Until next time! Thanks of lot and see you! (Original) Wir waren eigentlich auf dem Weg zum Lost valley / Silver strand und brauchten zwischendurch nur eine Toilette und so entdeckten wir völlig unerwartet Dan's Bar & Restaurant. Ein Ort, der fern unserer Zeit zu liegen scheint. Bei Sonnenschein und durch einen kurzen Regenschauer vorher war diese fantastische Gegend, mit Blick auf weiße Sandstrände und bis zum Berg Croagh Patrick, in ein Licht getaucht, einfach unbeschreiblich. Zudem spannte sich plötzlich noch ein riesiger Regenbogen wie eine Kuppel über die gesamte Region. Tolle Location und sehr nettes, völlig unkompliziertes Personal. Trotz dem eine wohl größere Familienfeier im Gange war, wurde uns sofort noch eine Sitzgelegenheit organisiert und kaum dass wir unsere Jacken abgelegt hatten, stand auch schon eine super leckere Gemüsesuppe inkl. bestem irischen Sodabrot auf dem Tisch. Für alles hier gibt es nur eins - Daumen hoch und 5 Sterne!! Bis zum nächsten Mal! Thanks of lot and see you!
