If you are not home, An Post will leave a calling card with details of the local Post Office where you can collect your order. S. L.Well stocked for all DIY needs with some good brand names available. Somewhat more expensive than wholesaler prices but alot better for general public with longer opening hours. Great range of garden plants and accessories.
H.Bought a flower pot from here and they told me to leave as I cant skate through there on my skateboard. The situation got a little escalated and I walloped the lady working behind the till because she told me to leave. She wasn't very happy about this and ran away.

M. B.I visited Woodies to get weed-killer to use on my path and non green areas around my house which seem to attract weeds. I bought a small disposable container of the product and told the assistant that I had a much larger but non disposable container of the same product which I was never able to open and she told me to bring it in to see what they could do.I intend returning on Monday and I look forward to the outcome.

I caught the attention of Deborah as she was passing while she was assisting an elderly couple, and true to her word she came back and found me in the store to help me with information on their garden furniture. Deborah was extremely helpful but also very friendly. I will definitely be recommending family and friends shopping at Woodie's to ask for Deborah McCann. She's a star thanks Deborah

She went totally out of her way to ensure we got the items we were seeking. Totally good manared and professional in her work. If you go to woodies ask to speak to Deborah. It's staff members like this that keep businesses alive.

You can get there loads of building and decorating materials, many starter tools, equipment and PPE as well as impressive range of gardening products and plants. Also you can order helium balloons and events decorations there. And also you can get your door keys copy cut.
M. M. M.Easy to find at Dundalk Retail Park. There is plenty of parking. The store is spacious and well laid out. It can be a little bit difficult to find some items if you don't know the layout of the store, but I have found the staff very helpful over the years that I have been going here. It caters for most building, gardening, and DIY products, with a selection of household products available also. I have found them to have an excellent returns / after sales policy. During the winter months, the shop floor area can be quite cold, and there are regularly cars pulling up in front of the store, which can at times inhibit those cars leaving the carpark.
S. F.Good variety for diy and self assembly furniture also has garden and lighting section wallpaper and paint section, work trousers and hi his jackets can be a bit pricey on some items have a good display at Xmas and usually have good sale on items
R. N.They have really a lot of products, but I'm not really satisfied with prices, except when there are some discounts. I like the most their gardening part because there's a lot of garden flowers and compost, and I don't know where else I could buy it.

Honestly , not my favorite place for shopping. Of course this shop has plenty DIY "stuff"in stock.... However , most time price tags on shelf differ from prices at the cashier till, if you make payment by card it will still appear on you bank statement with name "Atlantic DIY" store. Which by the fact not existing about 9 years or so.... BTW sometimes you can actually find item on shelf with old "Atlantic" price tag on it....
Don't get me wrong , this place is probably useful if you stuck in the middle of the work on Saturday afternoon. I'm only visiting this shop sometimes, for special offers or to purchase flower plants etc. Why? Because : bit messy place , mostly overpriced, lack of staff, old stock on shelf's.....
If you are professional , you know where to go in Dundalk to not "get ripped off"on small pack of screws for example. I have to confess I was shopping several times in Woodie's Drogheda....totally different place ,in good meaning. So sorry in this case only 3 stars.
G. M. C.It's a bit of a hit and miss in this store, not like the one in Drogheda. I went to buy a bag of fertilizer. The guy at the till asked if I would like someone to carry it in to the back of my car, I said yes. He told me to pull up my car to the front of the store, which I did, and waited, and waited and waited and waited. I had to go back in to the store to ask what was happening. The same guy asked the assistant to use the bag on display ( to save him going to the gardening centre for a fresh one). When he lifted the bag of fertilizer, it was busted with a hugh hole on the side of it, so he ended going all the way to the back of the store to the gardening centre to get a fresh one anyway, which he should have done in the first place. I also went in to bells for a cat collar, and found only dog products and very very little cat products. I ended up going to the pet centre 2 doors down.
B. J.Great variety of household and outdoor goods; prices are very favourable. They also offer a key cutting service. Staff go out of their way to help and are very knowledgeable.
