I really must say, this is a hospital that is improving, a lot, it is actually a hospital that I would now be more than happy to applauded, from Dr.Kelly and Dr.Murray all the way to the kitchen staff and even management this is a hospital I am happy to have in the North West, the positive changes here are just unbelievable to see, little wait time, caring and dedicated staff, I would recommend this hospital, as someone with private insurance and a medical card I can genuinely say I would rather attend Sligo to other privet hospitals, well done on the changes here and I wish all the best to the staff and to the future of this hospital, if these changes continue, I can see this hospital becoming one of the best in the West of Ireland.

I can't thank Andrea (hospital shop) and Niall (security guard) enough who went out of their way to get some items to my mother (who I can't visit due to restrictions). These people were so helpful. pleasant and kind. Thank you so much.

Excellent emergency services. I had to dial 999 recently. The ambulance came in less than 10 minutes. All the 'paperwork' was completed on the 5 minute journey. I was being treated within 2 minutes of the ambulance arriving on site and was discharged within 3 hours of making the 999 call

Amazing staff at a very busy hospital. Good sized seating and waiting areas. Has the usual public facility's as most hospitals do. Small volunteer run shop for basic snacks, newspapers and reading materials, a small sit down cafe for hot drinks, soft drinks, sandwiches, and various odd bits like chocolate bars, biscuits and cakes and the like. Also a full restaurant and a small volunteer coffee shop.

I had surgery here for a fracture of my ankle and the service I received couldn’t have been better. Amazing surgeons, nurses radiographers and all auxiliary staff involved.

The family of Brendan O'Grady wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the care and kindness shown to our Dad/Grandad while he was in the Surgical (gynae side) with his fractured hip this past month. Every nurse and doctor and support staff really helped fill the void during the restrictions around visiting. I am sure Dad felt less lonely and abandoned because you carried all our (daily) messages to him, and patiently gave us updates even when sometimes it took several attempts to get through to the ward. We know that you are all run off your feet and would rather have you at the bedside than jumping to answer the phone, but you were all so pleasant and willing to help us. There is no better place to be a patient ...we have had many admissions with all our family members and are truly appreciative. Thankyou all again.

This is a good hospital staff are geat ,my brother in law who arrived on holiday had to be admitted to have his appendix removed,he returned home only to be involved in a car crash and is back in hospital in Germany he was on the phone asking for some Irish nurse's. As he thinks they are great warm people and have a sense of humor.

I recently visited SligoA/E department this week and received outstanding suberb treatment from Medical Nursing Health practitioners. They deserve a holiday in the sun when this is all over. The multiskilled professional Doctors Nurses Radiologist and support staff were suberb. Long wait due to arrive extremely busy A/E Sligo unit. Thanks again agai

I go here most weeks and ive never had any issue with the department i deal with. All renal dialysis staff are so nice. My nurse and consultant are anazing people. I cant praise them enough.

As foreign tourists we were on a travel through 🇮🇪 in june, when my wife suddenly got a very serious lung infection with high feaver and was delivered by ambulance car into the emergency department of Sligo Hospital. Of cause, being a non-English speaking stranger from abroad, she was especially dependent on how ppl take care about her. Despite all problems everything went absolutely well, thanks to the experienced, friendly and perfectly caretaking staff - doctors, nurses, clerks. Everybody was so helpful! Back in 🇩🇪, we still keep in mind all those great folks in Sligo Hospital. Great thank you again from Heidelberg, be sure we will never forget you, God bless you.❤️❤️❤️👍

We were in A&E recently during the weekend! Staff are doing their best during this Covid pandemic time. It took about 1-2 hours to be seen and get treated!

Parking for disabled not enough spaces got a fine.€50 When I eventually got a disability park space first time in about 18mths . Badge not in date ,explaining that I would get it but the process takes time this unhelpful park E.P officer was not interested I've a disability daughter is deitabetic and wife has arteritis. That said staff in hospital are friendly.5*for hospital staff As for E.P officer 0

I give the three stars for the medical staff. As usual, they are excellent. My beef is with the administrative side. I received an out-patient appointment & using the number in the letter, upon ringing to cancel as I would be unavailable, I went straight through to the Hospital Shop! They were unable to provide me with the correct number. Also, I found it impossible to find a number for out-patients online. Other than by post there seems no way to contact them.

Staff are the best from the Consultant down to the cleaners everyone is friendly helpful and could not do enough for you. A great team of international Doctors and Nurses. I had a recent unfortunate stay from December to January with Pneumonia and they discovered a rare blood disorder Vasculitis and cured me. My experience with the maternity ward was exceptional! I had a very bad labour ( and a very stubborn baby ) and the midwifes and doctors couldn't do enough for me , they were amazing!

My 5 stars are for the orthopaedic department, exceptional nursing, surgery and outpatients when I broke my ankle. All staff that I've encountered in this department are well trained, patient focused and caring.

A long day in accident and emergency , but I have to say what wonderful, friendly , caring ,, busy ,busy ,busy staff that were all working flat out from Dr joe and nurse Brona and another doctor and nurse ,sorry cant remember their names , anyway thank you to all that looked after my mother today ,,, and the lovely lady ,, a porter I think that seen we needed a wheelchair and went of and got one ...thanks again
