C. M.I only stopped off here to meet a friend for coffee, but I was impressed. The car park has plenty of spaces. We went to the bar for coffee because the restaurant was shut. Before we went inside the bar we were asked for our covid certificates and weren't allowed in until we showed them. I was Impressed with this. We both had our coffees, which were tasty, and I found it to be a relaxed atmosphere inside the bar. Staff were very helpful and mannerly. I will definitely return here the next time I am in Athlone.
S. R.Stayed one night a couple of nights ago. Very clean hotel. There was an immediate smell of cleanliness as soon as we walked through the door to the lobby. The room 322 was very clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was very good in the shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top notch! Served full Irish buffet breakfast very reasonably priced at €10 pp and certainly worth it! Really enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure.

M. P.Lovely hotel spotlessly clean I was very relaxed. From the reception staff waiting and bar staff and household staff they were excellent. Two minor complaints are, the noise of cars in the garage but that's not the hotels fault. The other was the mattresses there very hard. But I lay on two duvets and this helped. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

L. L.Room comfortable and breakfast was ok. Found bar very dingy with ripped seats and absolutely no atmosphere. Thought with long time closed during lockdown that they would have made an effort to paint and have seati g repaired. When I reserved dinner I reserved the restaurant but all food was served in bar with a very limited menu. Never mentioned that restaurant was closed was very disappointed. Outside seating very sparce and not cleared off in timely manner. Could have fitted a few more tables in even with social distancing. This could be a really nice hotel if a bit of effort was put in to doing it up

Breakfast in the morning was fabulous and you were able to get seconds if you wanted but we were to full😋 Also is a fantastic pet friendly hotel one of the main reasons why we booked it .he got little treats on his arrival to the hotel. C.good, friendly, helpful staff, amazing cocktails, pizza and chips was delicious, menu definitely catered to a more mature adult instead of a slightly younger person, booked a superior double room however there was nothing superior about it, bed was comfy, service and reception were amazing, great amenities nearby, the guts of 400 for three nights was a bit steep when you take into consideration the fact there was someone else’s black hair in the bed (mine is blonde and straight), lovely and quiet and bathroom was nice but small (no bath just shower), food was a good price and worth the money, unfortunately two men sat beside us and were looking at us inappropriately but we enjoyed dinner and moved on with our night, breakfast moved a little slow the next morning, just over an hour from dublin which was nice, wouldn’t recommend for family’s as the lift is small enough but perfect for a little day or two break or a stop over when traveling. hope this helps :)

M. N.We went away for my partners 40th and we brought our dog Charlie. We had a lovely room and all the staff from reception to the bar were lovely and friendly. We stayed from the 4th to the 6th August 2021. Bar food is lovely and the cocktails go down too easy 🤣 we will definitely back again.

The bar at night was good but the lighting could have done with turning down to give a bit of ambience. The thing we really thought was a great touch was the chilled water and cordials on offer for the kids. Nice touch. Would recommend a stay.
R. F.Stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Really friendly place, even the cleaning staff greet you as you walk by. The room was lovely: pretty decor and very clean. Our room was located at the back of the hotel so we didn't get any of the noise other reviews have mentioned, it was very quiet.
The food should get a mention as we were very impressed by the restaurant. We had a voucher for a bottle of bubbly when you spend €30. After the first night we were really excited to go back to eat there again as the food was gorgeous, and not too expensive.
The second night was busy because of the community games so the bar just had a carvery menu. We were a bit disappointed but our mood lightened when we ate the food as again it was gorgeous!
We will definitely be coming back in the near future.

M. S.Was there on training and the service we received was impeccable. The staff is very relaxed and genuinely friendly which to me suggests good management. There's not much choice when it comes to vegetarian courses but the food is tasty and plentiful and the kitchen staff flexible.
One criticism though: I'd say that the table-cleaning regime during lunch time is a bit too lax for I've noticed that they only take away the previous punter's plates and cutlery but generally don't wipe the table.

L. G.Location and value was very good, the room was very good, bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent, apart from a bedside light that I couldn't turn off. I did get to see a friends room which was a much lower standard than the one I was staying in. The breakfast did let it down, especially the hot food which had dried up in the containers.

L.As a regular customer of the Creggan Court Hotel,l have to say that I am impressed with the bar staff a very friendly and go over and above the Call of Duty to help you all the chef's a fantastic however the bar staff which is made up of. Young lads and young ladies,, who are not afraid to work. The young staff who work on reception absolutely fantastic actually all young staff are a credit. They work extremely hard in the hotel and have time to study for exams also fair play to these Young staff. They should be very proud of themselves and sometimes a little bit of appreciation wouldn't go astray for the staff. After that the menu should be changed and that you should consider doing a barbecue in the fine weather. I also think the smoking ban should be brought in on allowing e-cigarettes to be smoked in the hotel. As a person that has COPD and as a result of anyone with an e-cigarette smoking in the building it just totally set's back a month to six weeks .

J. C. S.It is a fine hotel, not too expensive but you do need a car or bus to get to it as it is about 2 kms from the town centre of Athlone. TIP: next to it there is a petrol station and it has basic food at late night if you need it.

Great location for travelling around Athlone town but the hotel feels very old. Decor is outdated and overall the hotel is very noisy with doors and windows doing little to reduce noise from outside the room. The bar food was lovely. Very busy garage, mcdonalds and shop complex right outside door so very busy and noisy 24hrs a day. It was just ok for us.
Would not recommend for a family with kids.

Food is delicious and you can get plenty of it . Even tonight again receptionist was just so helpful. I love dropping off people on bus runs to the creggan because I know there ain't going to be any complaints. Pity all the places as a bus operator where we go are not the same. Any person involved in hotel business should book in stay the night and see how the creggan court do it .

P. R.Great value for money on the outskirts of Athlone. I've already booked my next stay. This hotel is everything you need and doesnt charge for kids. A short taxi ride into Athlone, the driver took us to Sean's, the oldest pub in Ireland and probably Europe, just one of the many attractions around. No hesitation recommending the Creggan.
