One of the beautiful hotel I stayed in Mayo for the good price. We booked street view but we all got river view rooms. All clean and beautiful cozy setup. Very helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of shops and takeaways near the Hotel.
There restaurant foods are amazing.
There cutleries and plates are not soo clean. The once we get for room service, We had to wash again. Best thing was there hot rack for the wet clothes, best ever. Not most of the hotels provide that.
Overall experience is very pleasant. Will go again.

Lovely Hotel and staff. Some areas a little dated but very clean. Staff in dining area couldn't be nicer or more helpful and food absolutely gorgeous with huge portions of everything. Great location too. 👌

Though the room was a little bit dated and there is a whine from the water pressure when the WCs are refilling, it was a very very quiet and comfortable stay. Staff where extremely helpful and very friendly. Would definitely look to stay here again. Food in the restaurant was exceptional.

Pool was closed but despite this the hotel was gorgeous. Our room.looked out onto the river and the bridge. The staff were lovely. We only had breakfast but that was well cooked with good ingredients.

Small rooms 3 channels on TV and a towel radiator beside the toilet u have been warned ,but on plus side brilliant staff and met the owner lovely man

I plugged my adapter in and it blew out. The electric isn't strong enough to charge my phone. Our shower stall is 2'×2'. The floor of the shower is 12" high and if my wife, my son or I don't break my neck trying to exit the shower that is tucked in behind the sink by the end of our week's stay I will be very surprised. We have no windows in our room and no place to open up our luggage or put our clothes. But we are in Ireland.

B. D.
Nice food and very nice hotel,it's central location is very handy
L. M.
Very basic functional place. Definitely not a 4 star hotel
C. O.
Good local hotel which is great value if you are doing any of the local marathons that are regularly organised here. Top floor "penthouse" is perfect for a very large family or group. Only gripe is lack of parking spaces in the tight underground carpark. But plenty of on-street parking nearby.
l. o.
excellent food always consistent never had a bad meal. Staff cant do enough for you, so nice. Great with kids and "their" special menu is only €10 for starter mains and dessert value for your money, very relaxing with beautiful view overlooking the river moy. Cant praise the food chef and staff enough my favourite place to eat in ballina.

The double bed I had with my daughter are outdated, no colouful bed through, no bed cushions also the room very dark, unlike the picture you put on internet, also the TV are very small, the hotel bedroom need a designer. But the bed are comfortable.

It was not satisfied enough because of some inconveniences. Usually in hotels staff put teeth brush, also it was some garbage in our room from previous tenants. Also we had a problem with parking because all places was busy.

S. H.
A very enjoyable few days with friendly staff and excellent food
A. M.
Great hotel, well located. Food in the restaurant onto the river was really great. I had the hake. Very nice.
Breakfast in the morning was standard and they cooked what I wanted which was not on the menu.
The berooms on level 2 are a bit of a maze, with many doors on the corridors which are hard to navigate if carrying luggage... or in a wheelchair would be very difficult.
Parking in hotel is limited but they do give u a pass for a surface carpark about 150 metres up the road.
Great location and a sroll from the cracked jug a pub up the hill.

Stayed HB basis at the Ballina Manor Hotel 12th and 13th July to attend part of the Ballina Festival, Mainly the Heritage Day. The hotel was packed with travelers from a variety of countries but despite the fact they were busy the quality of service was excellent. All staff from every service position were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, rooms cleaned daily and the food was excellent. If you wanted something not on the menu they tried their best to make your request. Will definitely stay here again.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Ballina Manor Hotel, and although we didn’t stay overnight, we were absolutely blown away by the experience and will definitely return to stay in the future. From the moment we arrived, the ease of parking made a great first impression—super convenient and hassle-free!
The restaurant is pure luxury, with an elegant, almost magical ambiance enhanced by the soft glow of candles. You could easily mistake the setting for a beautiful wedding venue. The stunning views of the river added even more charm to the evening.
The food was not only visually stunning but incredibly flavorful. The portions were huge, and to our surprise, the prices were very reasonable for such high-quality dining. I ordered the duck, which was so tender it melted in my mouth. The kids’ menu was also fantastic, with plenty of options for little ones.
The staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, making the experience even better. This place offers a perfect blend of elegance and comfort—it truly feels like a hidden gem. We can’t wait to come back, and next time, we’ll make sure to stay overnight to enjoy more of what Ballina Manor Hotel has to offer!

I have only eaten and had functions there, but I can say every time the staff were friendly and helpful, the food has always been to a good standard .

Just my first holiday for years.and having been before, was anticipated a return
The results are astonishing, had an large dinner last night and to top it all, had another full Irish Breakfast that I had to walk off. Wanted to visit the cathedral as my mother s family migrated from Mayo to Kildare in the 1950s, always loved Ballina and the hotel staff are excellent. Well located in the center of ballina, only 700 metres to the train station which I am catching

This is a great location with great rooms. Extremely helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.

We enjoyed an excelling lunch at Ballina Manor Hotel. Food was delicious. I had roast beef which was tender & tasty with creamy mashed potatoes & selection of vegetables in a cream sauce. Service was friendly, quick & attentive. The view overlooking the River Moy was amazing. It was wonderful to have dinner on tables set in traditional white table cloths, enjoy good food in a relax in beautiful surroundings. I certainly recommend this restaurant.
P. M.
The staff were very friendly and helpful with the children but the service was excellent great time Thank you for to the staff the Sunday service was excellent great beef dinner it was very tasty we come back again Thank you for your service waitress.

It was okay but the walls are very thin I could hear the person next door snoring all night and anyone walking by their conversation can be heard very clearly even if talking lowly.
My shower was also broken which is not great when staying for 4 nights, had to use the bath instead.
Food was lovely and the staff are amazing just the room was a little bit of a let down.
C. H.
Shower not great. Otherwise all good
But I like a good shower.
A. K.
The staff first of all were just so wonderful, both professional and friendly.
The breakfast and bar food was delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding.
My room 318 was my favourite part, I loved the view of the river.
Finally the location could not be better. I will be back

It's an old fashioned hotel with lots of character spotlessly clean from. You enter it. The staff are very attentive and courteous and breakfast is freshly cooked in the morning when you order it great choice. Food is first class. Ballina itself is a lovely place to visit and this hotel is so central to everything.lhave no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel for a short stay. I hope to return in the near future. Read some bad reports about the place and had reservation about visiting but that all went out the windy as soon as I entered the hotel in other words don't believe all you read.
V. C.
Great location. Not a stitch of furniture to put your clothes in or on. You have to live out of your suitcase all week, which is sitting on the floor. One key to the room. Hard to get back in when someone else took the key with them. They do have plenty of outlets for charging, which is rare for hotel rooms.
N. M.
This review is in particular for Ciara who works at reception. I cannot remember ever coming across a friendlier, more helpful and thoughtful member of staff at a hotel before. Ciara went above and beyond during my brief visit to the hotel. Thanks once again.
B. H.
Great place, great staff, very helpful with room requests, will definitely be back.
c. m.
A lovely relaxing time. Beautiful view of Moy River. Service is good. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Attractive, quiet places to go to read or just sit quietly.
T. M.
5 stars for the staff service. This is a great hotel. Quirky in good ways, that give it character. Rare in these days of hotel clones.
Nothing was too much trouble really!!
The food was top notch, portions were mega! Variety of choices were excellent and best of all, in my eyes if not my good lady's, was the bar prices.
A pint for less than 5 euros man dear whats not to like??
The room was grand, spacious and comfortable and being Ireland, warm.
All this overlooks the world famous ridge pool salmon fishery and a mural Irelands favourite adopted son, Jack Charlton. Sublime.
Do yourself a favour, check it out. Just go with it, relax, you'll love it.
A big Congrats to Edel and her brilliant staff team. Regards. Tony McCormack.

The location is ideal if you're looking to stay in Ballina. The hotel is a little outdated but it's perfectly clean and well maintained. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. The biggest issue this hotel has is the lack of parking. The available underground parking is minimal and spaces are tight. On street parking is free overnight. I'd stay again and would recommend.
E. M.
We have holidayed all over, and without fear of contradiction, I believe the people of Ballina are the friendliest we have ever encountered. The hotel were excellent from our arrival until we left. Some inconsiderate guests had been smoking in our room, and the smell of stale tobacco was in the air. Whilst we taking this in, Tamara, an exceptional staff member, had a shock when she saw us, and promptly showed us two other rooms. We ended up staying in the first room, and with the aid of loads of air freshener and the windows left open, there was no major problem. All meals that we had were well cooked, fresh and enjoyable. Although to be honest, I would have preferred my breakfast a tad hotter. It's ideally situated right on the river bank, and only a short walk to the town centre. There was no WiFi available as new guests couldn't log on, which I missed. Two places to go if you head down that way. An Bolg Bui, a bar just around the corner, and Inishcrone for its spectacular views and beach.
S. O. C.
The hotel was nice, the staff were very nice. No swimming pool. No guaranteed parking.cooked breakfast not great. Bar area dirty with cobwebs. Plenty of bars within walking distance. Room clean. Will be back in the future.
G. H.
What a great hotel, very very clean, loved the decor, the room we had was amazing with a river view , staff were all so polite and helpful, my one and only gripe was the morning breakfast , was a full Irish breakfast, now it was either on really large plates or we had a very small portion of everything , but didn't let that spoil the very comfortable time we spent there .
S. M. M.
Lovely central hotel right in the heart of Ballina.
Staff are so lovely and helpful. The food is always delicious. Never got a bad meal here.Gorgeous dining room overlooking the beautiful River Moy

We had a lovely stay in the O'Hara suite; the dinner (Christmas party) and breakfast was fabulous but most of all everyone who looked after us was just lovely!

The 3 night dinner, bed and breakfast is great value for money. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The bedroom was very comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Great hotel so far so good...downside is only limited parking spaces but they do have the use of a local carpark free of charge

Proximity to 'The Lanten' Chinese is second to none. They do a fabulous Dry Hot Chicken Dish (in 'The Lantern')
J. O.
Well if you are in there you should try the Kelly's black pudding stack I loved it,next time I am there I must take a photo,I had it eating when I thought of it.

GreT 3 day stay great hotel.Staff fantastic food first class.Highly recommended
E. M.
Beautiful place to stay, lots of shopping around, great place
D. g.
Privately owned hotel, run with love and care that is so absent in chain hotels
D. K.
Very nice little hotel in a very good location which allowed us in the evening after dinner to go for a drink with a few people from the group. The stylish furnishings are very refined and you feel good there. We had a very pretty room with a view overlooking the river and a very beautiful bridge.|There was everything we needed in the room, even two very thick dressing gowns and pairs of slippers. It is true that for Getting to the room had long corridors but if we had stayed more than one night we would have quickly figured out how to get to reception or the dining room quickly. In any case, almost all the hotels in Ireland which accommodate groups all have long corridors with fire doors.|In any case, I highly recommend this very charming hotel
S. W.
charming hotel in the city center, quiet by the river. We were lucky enough to have a room with a river view. Spacious, clean rooms. Hearty Irish breakfast. Good welcome. Staff available and helpful. Excellent evening meal
G.
A real labyrinth. Closed and heavy doors in the corridors are practical for suitcases! A single, tiny elevator for a hotel with all these rooms.|A pompous dining room with a chandelier and a team of unfriendly waitresses. No smile, hurry
A. W.
Great hotel in the center, and very friendly staff.
