E. D.Overall a really nice stay here last year. Losing one star as there was no mention on the website that their pool wasn't open and I asked for a late check out and was simply told no due to "covid". Felt very fobbed off.
D. K.I always holiday locally in Belmullet but have always popped into the Broadhaven Bay for a bite to eat. The menu is always different and offering many delicious options. Not only that, I’ve been at some of the best weddings here at the Broadhaven where the service is outstanding. The staff are always willing to help and so friendly as well. My last visit was for a family funeral where they delivered their services with the upmost respect and compassion. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.
B. B.Have stayed here twice before and each time left looking forward to a return visit. Booked again for a four-day family stay recently but just wasn’t the hotel we had previously experienced.
Covid restrictions were quite rightly in place and adhered to throughout, so no problems there. Swimming pool and leisure centre were closed for refurbishment (which is stated on the website) but with no obvious signs of works being carried out.
Our room on the first floor was stifling in the hot weather which wasn’t helped by the fact that the only window in the room, as with all first floor rooms, opened just a couple of inches. Had a fridge in our room on each of our previous visits, but not this time Was told they had all been removed. Could not even keep a bottle of water cold, let alone medications. When the heat in the room became unbearable, went outside with my daughter and found that despite the lovely view from the front of the hotel, there was nowhere we could even sit to enjoy it. The only outdoor seating was being used for outdoor drinks and dining.
Staff were lovely, room was clean and tidy but moved on to a B&B which proved to be a better choice.

The arrangements were very well done and pretty. The food was very tasty as well. I did a mistake and didn't inform prior that I am a vegan so my options were low. Petty sure th y might have vegan menu if informer earlier.
However, I was never left out they made sure I didn't get any cheese or butter. They served me a vegan chocolate coconut cake that was epic.
Only thing that bothered me was the food quantity was very huge that most of us was not able to finish it. I hope the leftovers was used in someway.

The food is also fresh, plentiful & really well prepared by the chefs. We have had excellent cod, beef & gourmet sandwiches. The coffee is proper barista coffee. We also swam in the pool, €10 for non-guests (can use gym also for this price). The pool staff couldn't have been more helpful in sorting us out with togs & a hairdryer. Would definitely recommend this venue.

The staff and management were FANTASTIC, in general I cannot sit still without watching every detail that goes into running an event, I cannot fault you. You and your team are doing fantastic, the personal touches are what it's all about. Definitely worth travelling up those bumpy roads to get to this gem of a hotel. Plus your upside down Christmas trees in the function room were fantastic too... Cannot recommend enough!! And thank you for a great day and night!!

M.Was there for wedding staying one night. Staff were very friendly. Reception staff couldn't be more helpful. Clean rooms. There is plenty of parking around and outside is well maintained. Lovely view from front of the hotel. Close to Belmulet town so easy to go for walk if you have some spare time.
M. H.Stayed overnight and enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is situated half a mile outside of Belmullet a quaint little town on the mayo coast with nice pubs an shops.
The hotel itself is fairly large with lots of parking space front and back.
The bedrooms are comtfortable and clean and the food is average, with big Irish breakfast of sausages.. bacon..black and white pudding.. beans..toast.. eggs, to set you up for the day.
The staff are friendly and polite.

M. M.What a weekend in the Brodhaven Bay Hotel while attending the wedding of our friends. From the moment we entered, we were treated to the friendliest of welcomes from the reception staff. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our room was bright, airy and spotless with tea/coffee making facilities. The beds were soooo comfortable. We had the best steaks we had ever eaten, which were cooked to perfection. Breakfast was a feast, with ample choice to cover everyones wants and needs. And even though the staff were under severe pressure the whole weekend, they took the time to have a friendly word, and asked many times, if we were ok for everything. We could not find fault with anything. Well done to everyone working at the hotel., You did yourselves proud. We are looking forward to our next stay with you. M. M. (.We came to the broadhaven bay for a wedding and I must say it was a beautiful night. Plenty of room to catch up with family and celebrate the bride and groom. The rooms are very spacious and plenty big enough, just what you need. Breakfast is lovely and there are plenty of options and something to suit everyone. They are cereals, fruit, toasts and pastry and host breakfast like sausage, bacon, eggs etc... I would definatly recommend staying her if you are in the area. Oh and 1 thing I want to add is the views are AMAZING!!!!!

E. D.Reception at reception was fine. Friendly lady who spoke to us extensively. Unfortunately, everything was drowned out by running and screaming children. We could not go to the restaurant because there were parties. We were able to eat something in the bar. No sooner said than done. Unfortunately this was a major deception. No one came to the table to take an order, we had to contact a waitress ourselves. Then we had to wait more than an hour for our food. To make matters worse, we were kept awake at night by shouting drunkards. Breakfast was again fine and the service was very friendly at that time. We were probably just unlucky.

Location is excellent only a short walk into the village, but regular taxi services the hotel all day and late into the night if your not a fan of walking

L. P.Travelled here Monday to Thursday during the 2 week school break. Pool closed for renovation and this wasn't the case at time of booking and we were not told this before arrival.||No bar or restaurant, everything closed. They only tried to contact me the evening before arrival and I'd had this trip planned for months.||Distracted Reception staff, seemed totally disengaged and bored. The lady didn't care that we were disappointed.||Crushed pringles and crisps in bedroom carpet...everything else clean but I doubt the room was hoovered.||No pressure in the shower.||For the 1st week of the Easter break, the facilities and atmosphere here were awful.||Tired, old, shabby decor. I don't care about decor if a place is clean with a lovely atmosphere but it becomes a big issue when everything else is lacking.||I get the impression that they get their main income from weddings and they don't care about other customers. ||This could be a lovely spot and I would write more about all the little extras they could offer to make this a decent stay but I don't think they are interested in my feedback.||I tried to contact them directly about this over a week ago with no response so...a negativeTripAdvisor review it is! :0(
S. V.We spent a day here and we liked it a lot. The staffs were very friendly. The hotel and its surrounding are maintained very well. The rooms were Ok. There was also a complimentary breakfast available. We did have issue with our room as the water was clogging in the bathroom sink. There is enough car parking space just outside of the hotel. E.Initially everything seemed ok, apart from a cold welcome at check in when usually for the moment we encountered great kindness from everyone. |They gave us the room, warning us that they were still finishing tidying up (it was 5 in the afternoon!). |The toilet doesn't flush in the bathroom. We communicate it, a cleaning lady tries to fix it without success. They tell us they don't have maintenance staff and give us a new room. Too bad the new room is a nightmare. Dirtier than the previous one, with one of the two beds completely ruined. We call because it's 17 degrees cold, and the room doesn't seem to heat up, they don't send anyone from the reception. Let's try to fix the thermostat of the radiator which initially remains in our hands. |I was rearranging my bags to leave that shack and my husband manages to start the heater. |I have never found a hotel where, following an initial problem, they give you a spare room and don't care. |Really bad.
P.We booked the hotel on a golf trip through Ireland, among other things because there are cheaper green fees on the Carne golf course if you stay overnight at the hotel. The rooms are well equipped and both breakfast and dinner were good. The bar is also very nice and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is located just outside the town center, which means you can't reach other restaurants and pubs directly on foot.
L.The city center is within walking distance, the rooms are spacious and spotless and the setting is idyllic. Comfortable bed, large TV, clean bathroom, and no noise pollution. The breakfast is one of the best I tasted during my stay.
