D. S.What a find! Went for one night and stayed for 3. Welcoming, accommodating and trusting owner. Good facilities, good showers & clean and well kept. Beautiful beach a few minutes walk away (the hills in the vicinity are brutal!) Incredible view from our pitch spanning Ben Bulben to Sliabh Liag.
Second morning was terrible weather and the owner light the fire in the kitchen area so everyone could dry out and warm up a bit.
Lovely small and friendly hostel and campsite, hope to return again soon. Did I mention the fresh eggs for those who got up in time?
S. H.Situated in a beautiful location with a fabulous view of Slieve League and surrounding area. There is a lovely fully equipped campers kitchen where the owner, Shaun, leaves fresh eggs from his chickens for the campers. As well as the chickens, there are 3 lovely rabbits in a pen. Shaun is lovely, really helpful. Nice showers and toilets. There are lovely walks nearby and the whole area is stunning. Highly recommended.

Had an absolute ball staying here. There were about 8 of us camping, the weather was awful, got soaked every day 😂😂
Buut we made the best of it and were well looked after here. Beautiful campsite, campers kitchen, and a real stove to dry u and your clothes 😂
The kids were amazed with the animals. Will deffo be back this year..loved the place.

e. m. e.Didn't get a chance to thank Shaun for his hospitality before we left as the overall experience was perfect for us. So here goes . We camped for two nights to do a spot of fishing around the area . Shaun's place is in an ideal location for taking in all that Donegal has to offer the world. The, showers, toilets and cooking facilities were a clean ,fully functional and a welcome blessing to us normally wild camper's who usually never have such lluxuries. Oh and the Shaun's hens freshly laid eggs each morning were beautiful. The pitch was great with some stunning views and the beach was only a short walk . Overall a really good experience and somewhere I'll return to. So a big thanks to Shaun for a great few days away.

S. M.A really lovely spot for camping. We only camped for one night, but I'm hoping to return again in the future.
Shaun, the owner, is a really welcoming and friendly host with a great sense of humour. On arrival he gave us a map and talked us through everything there was to do in the area. The location is stunning with views over Teelin Bay.
It's also great value for money. It has all the facilities you could need with full kitchen equipment, showers, hot water, toilets and picnic benches and everything was very clean. They were also taking the pandemic very seriously with alcohol hand gel, anti-bac handsoap, spray bottles of disinfectant and kitchen roll dotted around the place.

J. L. M.There is a great campsite beside the the hostel and it's got a great view. The man who owns the hostel/campsite is very friendly. There is a kitchen and toilet round the corner if you need it. Quite cheap, very good value.
J. L.Very comfortable stay here in the campsite. Loads of space! Sean is the owner, friendly and makes you feel relaxed. He gave me free wood for my wood burning stove and free eggs from the hens. My dog Paul and his Lucky made friends. We'll be back!
W. S.Great campsite with an amazing view of slieve league. Gerry was really friendly and helpful with advice on local walks, things to do, places to see. And of course, the freshest eggs ever.
We were lucky with the weather but they have a campers kitchen with a wood burning stove and a drying rack in case of wet weather.

The owner, Shaun is an extremely helpful person, giving advice where to visit, where to go for a bite to eat, or maybe where to go for an evening's entertainment.

M. C.Used the hostel as a base for a family holiday exploring south-west Donegal over Easter week and it was perfect. We stayed in an ensuite family room which suited us well. The main house was also a great place to relax in (make sure you ry out the free range eggs!) with a lovely warm fire/range.
Shaun is a great host, giving plenty of tips for food suggestions and of course plenty of local knowledge for places to visit. Looking forward to returning again some time in the future.

G. I.(Translated) On the way we stop at a Faktory Woolshop (see photo) and look for a camping. The Verkäferin tells us that her uncle has a small, friendly camping in Kilcar. And that's the way it is! From the campsite on the hill you have a beautiful view of the bay.

Unterwegs halten wir bei einem Faktory Woolshop (siehe Foto) und suchen einen Camping. Die Verkäferin sagt uns, dass ihr Onkel hat in Kilcar einen kleinen, sympathischen Camping betreibt. Und das ist auch so! Vom Camping auf dem Hügel hat man eine schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht.
