We just stayed one night midweek in January so it was very quiet. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast in the room, one of the best I have had in a long time...with really polished cutlery! We had a lovely stay.
K. R.
We loved our room at Dunraven Arms Hotel! It was very roomy and comfortable. The bar downstairs had delicious burgers! We loved breakfast especially the potatoes. It was in a convenient location. The only downside is that there is no elevator, so I'd suggest only brining in a small bag not a large suitcase. It was hard to lug it up the stairs to our room.
V. G.
Beautiful family room unfortunately no microwave or kettle for bottles but after we requested kettle we got one for bottles. Restaurant menu very high end not suitable to all people . Bar was lovely. And staff were amazing

I had the most amazing facial with the lovely Fiona while my husband had the full body massage. Would defo recommend a visit to the spa💆
The hotel itself is beautiful, staff are very helpful.
I think that the bar menu would benefit from a wider variety of food
Great place to stay 👍

Great hotel fab food lovely rooms. What more would you want. A few rashers at breakfast would be lovely though missed them from the breakfast. Other than that had a great stay

The treatment rooms at Adare beauty are cosy & relaxing!!! Fiona the therapist is excellent at what she does, satisfaction guaranteed!!!! And you will definitely want to come back for more!
C. K.
Really fantastic stay, beds were extremely comfortable, food (dinner _ esp the beef and deserts, and the breakfast) was exceptional. Service from all staff was excellent, Denis in the restaurant was such a gentleman, and good fun. Also got a number of treatments done in the beauty room, Fiona was excellent.

We stayed here one night on our honeymoon and it was great! The room was incredibly spacious and had an amazing bathroom and huge bed. It was beautiful and charming. I would definitely stay here again!
K. C.
What a wonderful experience it was to stay at this hotel. From check in to checkout it was a mixture of decadence and luxury. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Had the best night sleep ever.
O. H.
From the outset the staff were so welcoming, pleasant, attentive and efficient. The breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant were beautiful. The bar menu was a bit limited as was the outdoor seating but overall a beautiful hotel experience
A. M.
Very comfortable hotel with a homely atmosphere. Dinner was excellent as was the service professional yet friendly. Cooked breakfast option was very tasty but no cold option🤨

September'21, good Covid check, sanitizer and distancing.

Lovely meal, lovely room an great staff
M. D.
Stayed recently for my birthday, hotel was fabulous, staff all so friendly and helpful. However we were disappointed by the dinner portions.
F. L.
Super friendly staff, delicious food and an overall excellent dining experience.
D. O.
Very nice stay. Only 2 little problems, 1) Directions from the carpark very small and was hidden by a car parked in front of it. We walked all the way around the hotel before entering the hotel from the rear. 2) Very limited bar lunch menu. Everything else about our stay was perfect.
C. M.
Customer service was amazing, the room was beautiful and the food was top quality.
Looking forward to going back already.
F. O.
Love the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant .
Lunch (hake) was beautiful - potato portion a little small.
Excellent service from every person 100% of the time.
Room is huge - WiFi signal drops and TV picture was low res- but was slick and span and tasteful .
My biggest gripe is the narrowness of the range of craft beers in the bar.
I would be a loyal but intermittent customer . Would always come back .
A unique establishment .
Price was very reasonable as well .
M. W.
This hotel is very charming. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent! Our room was large and clean. Our only issue was the mold. By the time we got checked in and then noticed it neither one of us had the energy to ask to be moved.
C. S.
Fab day out with the family. Dennis took good care of us . Really really uplifting after all the lockdowns. Would love to go again..sooner rather than later .. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
T. K.
Beautiful location, food excellent and fantastic staff
P. M.
A warn, friendly, cosy well managed establishment in charming Adare. Nice sized swimming pool and gym and cosy reading rooms for those who like to relax and chill out. Top class locally sourced food stuffs magically transformed into the tastiest of menus for evening dinner or morning breakfast. The historic town of Adare will be enhanced when it is bypassed (asap)
L. O.
Staff in all areas, the best ever!!! The room and bath very large! The dining room food was fantastic and the head food butlers were superb! The staff could not have been more wonderful, friendly, willing to help in any way from the second we arrived, to the second we left. As a matter of fact, we had to leave for the airport early and they made a big breakfast spread for us at 530 am so that we could eat. We were only two people, so we were very impressed. We asked the day before if we could get a roll or hard boiled egg to go, but they gladly offered to set up early breakfast for us. The night reception man was so willing to help us at 530 am! We were blown away by what they set before us. Only one tip for the owner; the rug in our room (35) needs to be upgraded. The room was big and gorgeous, but the rug was worn, thin and yellow. You could "pop" that room with a new rug. Other than that, the entire place delivers friendly, fabulous service.
O. P.
We enjoyed the whole experience.
Large twin room on the 2nd floor, separate bathroom and dressing room, great shower. Beds very comfy, lovely view over fields. Bar food great. Restaurant beautiful evening meal, breakfast very good, something for everyone. All staff very welcoming, friendly and courteous with attention to detail at all times. We hope to return.
A. A.
We stay here when we come to visit my sister and her family. love it, we tell all our friends to come and stay, it’s amazing how many people we meet who also love it. Sad not to have been able to visit this year but we will be over as soon as we can!
C. L.
Got a warm welcome, very clean , sanitizers very visible, staff and guests observing social distancing. Very confortable bed and breakfast was really tasty. Would recommend a visit to this hotel
S. H.
Overall a comfortable stay. We had a great view of the cottages across the street and an easy check-in processes. Wide variety at breakfast. The only slight inconvenience was that it was difficult to blow dry and use a hair curler since the only mirror with electrical outlet in the bedroom was behind a big lamp. Would have been fine if it were over the desk instead.
N. K.
One of the best hotels in Ireland.
K. M.
Very nice place. A bit on the expensive side. Our "junior suite" listed for 260 euros (or so they told us) but they gave it to us for 160€. Nice looking comfy 4 poster bed. Big shower with plenty of water pressure. Morning breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold items and an attentive staff. Overall a very nice place.
R. M.
Stayed last night. The hotel have gone to great lengths to make guests feel safe and welcome. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Recommended.
T. R.
We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was awesome. Very spacious and well appointed. There were sweets in our room with a handwritten welcome note from the manager! The room was dark and quiet, and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful. I really couldn't fault it.
V. K.
Great hotel. I enjoyed several breakfasts and dinner at their restaurant and the food was delicious. Always a variety at the morning buffet with fresh sliced ham roast. As like most historic hotels there was no air conditioning. We were traveling during a unusual heat wave. They provided a fan .
P. M.
Outstanding hotel, was lucky enough to have my wedding there in Aug 19, came up again four our anniversary and was warmly welcomed back by there Outstanding staff, have the place brilliantly set up for the current restrictions and have managed to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
B. G.
Very lovely clean & spacious room. We had booked late & our room was facing the busy road, & very bright street lights. I would strongly suggest black out shades along with the beautiful curtains. Other than that it was perfect. Breakfast was amazing. Anything and everything one could eat. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back.
T. M.
We really enjoyed our stay this week. Our room was spacious, well located, newly decorated with one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in.
E. H.
We booked this hotel directly late in the afternoon in high season. Our room was in a loft type area of the hotel but was still enjoyable. It's 200 years old so shows the footsteps of the past with its character. The Irish award winning Breakfast included was amazing and a real treat. All in all very charming and staff were lovely.
A. C.
Bar staff are very polite and very friendly
F. M.
This is one of my favourite hotels.
Didn't stay here but had lovely light lunch.
Soup home made bread.
Tea and fresh scones
Wonderful old world place. Lovely professional staff, very helpful.
Pleasant conservatory where we had lunch.
Big function room for weddings and large gatherings.
Member of Small Luxery Hotels of the World.
Interesting photos and letters on display from former guests. Easy parking.
Adare is a lovely town or village. Real character and a pleasure to stroll through.
Definitely try it. Don't pass by.
D. R.
At a wedding. Drinks reception in the garden was a nice setting. Well organized. Bar is small but service good. Hors d'oeuvre s were tasty but sparse for the attendance. Room was comfortable. Nicely decorated. Meal was nice without being spectacular. Service was average at best. Overall a nice place for a wedding. Could improve quality of the food.
E. R.
Superb accommodation, fantastic restaurant ,

I always read reviews but don’t frequently write them. I felt I needed to after staying here and seeing this shows up as a 4.3 rating. This place was spectacular and I would highly recommend it. We arrived very late due to car trouble. We were sure we would be eating a bag of potato chips for dinner. The receptionist immediately took our bags from us and escorted us to the dining room where they stayed open late and served us an incredible dinner. White table cloths, waiters and waitresses in white shirts and ties, all just standing by in case you need anything.
When we finished our meal, we were shown to our room which was perfect. Of course it’s an older hotel but isn’t that why you came to Ireland? If you want the Hilton you’re in the wrong country 😊.
The attention to detail is something I have rarely seen, even at the best US hotels. There was always someone cleaning something or shining the glass. There was also always someone nearby in case you needed anything.
The gardens were gorgeous and the service was second to none. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
S. O.
Lovely hotel in the countryside that has retained it's charm and character despite being a really nice high quality hotel. The staff are really friendly and attentive and the food is divine! Love going here for events and even for a quiet drink. Well worth a visit!!
m. l.
Great location close to a great Restaurant called 1826 fab food. The Staff are friendly. When booking hotel 'Caveat emptor' prices are subject to availability but probably don't exist. I'd question their newspaper adds. Needed to say that and it is a great experience.
d. m.
Gracious hospitality. Fun, charming pub. delicious dining breakfast & dinner. Large, comfortable, well-furnished guest rooms. The middle of horse country. Perfect location in charming Adare village. Love visiting the Dunraven multiple times. Cannot wait for my next one.
m. m.
Dinner was extremely good but i was a little disappointed with breakfast felt we were rushed through the process. If you are travelling with a buggy ask for a ground floor room no lift available so going upstairs required physically lifting the buggy.
W. G.
Had my wedding reception / party here recently. I cannot speak highly enough of the venue, staff and service. Went above and beyond, so attentive to make sure day was perfect. My wife and I could not be happier and we are excited to revisit for many years to come. The Murphy's that run the place (Louis and Hugh) are incredible. You can tell they take great pride in everything and that comes across with every person there. Thank you!
S. S.
Plush furnishings in an ornate building. Spacious room. Beware very firm mattress and curtains not black-out. Food was good but a negative comment on one course passed to the chef led to nothing which should not happen if service were a priority. Will not return.
A. D.
Stayed in Adare for two nights. Cliffs of Moher and Limerick easy to get to. The town itself is just picturesque. Probably my favorite little town in Ireland. The hotel was big but felt cozy. Great bar and the rooms were lovely, would definitely go back.
B. K.
We got a last minute upgrade to a junior suite, very clean room. The breakfast was the highlight, freshly cooked and very tasty. I liked the old feel off the hotel also.
F. W.
This is a fantastic place to stay and from the pictures on the wall, several celebrities agree including: Gwenith Paltrow, Michael Douglas, and Catherine Zeta Jones. The accommodations are quite nice and the staff helpful and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the water hot. My only complaint is there is no air conditioning. However, they will provide fans upon request.
T. G.
The town is very quaint and lively. The hotel has its own parking lot which is nice. Includes a could American plugs which is always a pleasant surprise. Room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed.
E. R.
Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food was fine. They bake their own breads which was the best part of our meal. Apart from this the food was nothing special. Coffee is very good. Child friendly too.
T. O.
Beautiful old style hotel with traditional food and hospitality. Roast beef is really wonderful. Loses a star only because it's expensive but if you have the money it's great and still better value than some of its competition in the area.
M. F.
I recently stayed at the hotel for a wedding. Whilst the overall style is a little dated it is well kept and totally suits the village of Adare. Just a few tweaks and it would be real special. Adare is a great example of Irish tourism done well.
I am writing this review though for the staff. They were excellent and showed real patience and professionalism with me and others. It made the stay a real pleasure and I would love to return.
From the reception through to the waiting/bar staff and cleaning teams I felt really looked after and each member of staff was friendly and helpful to a fault. Well done all round.
E. R.
Great overnight stay. Fine big room, very warm on a cold night. Shower adequate poor spray. Beautiful dinner. Breakfast very good, lots of choice and good coffee.
s. m.
It was adequately clean, just glad the sheets were nice. Loads of drunk kids everywhere which is normal for a hostel this close to the city centre. The check in was really messy cuz the guy was all over the place but other than that, it was a place to sleep so it worked.
P. M.
Visited this hotel today after a perfect weekend with family in Castlegregory...we all found the staff to be so genuine and interested in us as customers. The place was spotless, food top class...highly recommended.
A. D.
Really lovely hotel, beautifully presented and with real character. Right opposite a stunning golf course, it's bigger than you expect. Lovely breakfast and warm hospitality. Will stay again!
M. S.
Super cute and cozi Hotel. Rooms have a great view and employees are Super helpful. Reception service needs a bit of improvement but other than that it was great
b. o.
My family and I stayed overnight at the Dunraven Arms last weekend, and we found it charming, it is a hotel with character, and the little sitting rooms were an added bonus. I would definitely recommend staying there to my friends.
P. M.
Fine venue, good food and restaurant. Reserve yourself a window table when making reservations. Beautiful location on the entrance to town. Views of town and countryside. Excellent location. Friendly staff.
W. C.
The staff is outstanding. The facilities, which are quite old-fashioned, are nonetheless extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant is very good as well.
J. B.
Fantastic hotel. Old world style , food , service and staff are excellent. Rooms excellent also.
S. B.
We just spent a couple of weeks traveling around Ireland. The time that we spent in Adare at the Dunraven Arms was our most enjoyable by far. The property is charming with tons of character, the beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious, and our bathroom had recently been updated.
The hotel is old, which in my opinion added to the experience. The location was perfect - directly across from the Manor where we had an Adare Country Pursuits Falconry experience scheduled and within walking distance of everything that we needed: grocer, chemist, local pubs, and the heritage center.
I can't recommend them enough and look forward to returning.
C.
young personal of the bar fantastic

Met the owner in the Pat Collins bar in town and he promised the best breakfast in Ireland and we were not disappointed..

We stayed at the dunraven our last night in Ireland. We were flying out of Shannon the next day. First thing I noticed about the hotel is how old it is and you could smell the age throughout all the wonderful hallways. Looking at the royalty that had stayed the night before such as prince Harry and Michael Douglas showed me what a special place we had found.
Only problem was each outlet had its own light switch bit I assume this is meant to save energy, and was only a minor inconvenience.
We had a few pints in the hotel bar which was relatively empty. There was some Gaelic sports on the telly that were absolutely mesmerising. I asked the barkeep what it was and he informed me it's called Gaelic Football. To me it seemed a mix of soccer, rugby, hurling, and dodgeball. Quite lovely. The rooms were very nice bit I don't understand why none of the hotels had sheets. I found the big comforter too hot and that was my only option to keep warm at night. This was the case at all hotels we stayed in Ireland and not just the dunraven. We didn't stay at the dunraven too long but it was an overall great experience and we had no trouble getting to Shannon and catching our flight out the next day.

M. H.
Excellent upscale hotel. Comfortable rooms, excellent food and a nice pub in the hotel. A lot of history here giving a nice ambiance. Just a short walk from the downtown.
J. N.
The location is very good (in the little town with pubs and cafes). The hotel seems a bit outdated (carpet smells old) but still nice.
J. C.
Excellent service especially breakfast, lovely old but warm well equipped building. Real Irish hospitality especially upon late return.
B. V. d. B.
We had a very nice room with a view on the garden which was illuminated at night. Very spacey room. Well decorated. Very nice bathroom. Ample breakfast choices.
A. L. M.
Limited lunch menu...but nice atmosphere
C. O.
Great rooms and good staff. Bar service was consistently bad. Rude staff unhelpful and lazy. The notion that anyone wanted a drink seem alien to the proprietors.
D. L.
Lovely hotel. Large rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyable experience.
D. R.
Old world charm with a genuine warm welcome. Top class food only surpassed by great service, check out those scrambled eggs for breakfast yummy
P. S. O.

Expensive but worth it for a treat
M. D.
Service excellent, venue bright, sunny, delightful, but I felt the lunch menu was lacking & limited. Despite that, what I chose, was beautifully presented & tasty, but again lacked that little extra touch in order to set it apart from any other normal deli. For a 5* star hotel, a thick puree soup of leek & potato soup is too winterish. A little more imagination required from the chefs to stretch the creative knowledge to raise the standard & palate choice from season to season.

(Translated) Nice hotel. Unfortunately, very old. You can not paint over everything with paint. The coffee for breakfast you can save yourself and here for once drink tea.
(Original)
Schönes Hotel. Leider schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Man kann mit Farbe nicht alles übertünchen. Der Kaffee zum Frühstück kann man sich sparen und hier ausnahmsweise mal Tee trinken.
