We are a group called the bee 🐝 girls and every single person in the hotel made us feel so welcome. The bar staff are the best in the country they are like one of your friends fun polite and a fantastic laugh. Would go back tomorrow just to see them . b. m.Had my elderly mother and aunt out for Sunday lunch my down syndrome brother and 3 other family members..my mam was in a wheelchair and the staff made sure our table was able to accommodate her... food was delicious and nutritious and excellent value for money... the poor waiting staff when desert was proposed.... only one word to describe her Angel.... Glenside hotel can't wait for another visit.
D. H.Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is very quaint. It's a little mixed at the moment as some parts look great from the upgrade but other parts still look dated.
Our room was okayish - it's a decent size and was clean - but it really needs to be brought up to date - especially the en-suite.
The extractor fan had not been cleaned for quite some time.
Breakfast on the Friday morning was continental only - breakfast on the Saturday morning included a Full Irish. The breakfast overall was okay but the inconsistency between the two days was irritating. A huge positive was that the fry was very hot - pity about the quality of the produce.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - a huge asset to the hotel.
However, with the hotel & it's services as it is I would not return - it's just not worth the €120 B&B per night rate we were charged.
L. D.We recently stayed over night on a family break. From start to finish we had such a lovely time. We had dinner in Henry's restaurant which was just beautiful. The food is delicious and staff are so friendly and very accomadating. Lots of options for all. Our 3 children cleaned their plates. Then we went up to our family room which had a double and 2 single beds in it. Perfect for a family of 4. Rooms are very clean with a great big flat screen tv too. The next morning we enjoyed a very tasty breakfast with a variety to choose, from continental to home cooked breakfast. A really enjoyable stay.
m. r.Just celebrated my sons confirmation in the glenside this evening and I have to say the staff and service we received was excellent. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was beautiful, everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Im finally getting around to thanking you, Aoghan and all the staff at the Glenside. We had an amazing wedding day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fab, our experience was so relaxed and could not fault anything. I would highly recommend for anyone planning a wedding. A special mention to Christine who was so friendly, helpful and great with kids. She was just the loveiest lady.
The Glenside will always see us regularly and is a wonderful asset to Drogheda and surrounding areas. Many thanks again.

D. K.My wife Suzi and I got married at the Glenside in August 2021. We couldn't thank Karen, Clair and the rest of the Glenside staff which helped to make our day so Special. During such a difficult time for all hospitality, Karen and the team in the Glenside always remained totally flexible and were there to assist us every step of the way, allowing us to postpone 3 times due to Covid Restrictions. I couldn't recommend them enough.

e. h.We stayed here for the whole weekend for my sisters wedding. The hotel is beautiful, the food (all of it) was amazing. But what made the whole experience was the staff. Karen and Aogan have been so helpful and took the stress away for the day to go so smoothly. We especially would like to thank Jennifer for all she done for us. She was with us every step of the way through the wedding and even the next day made sure we where all ok. We wish you the best in your new role. Thank you all again and we will DEFO be back.
J. F.Wow what a day we had for our wedding September 24th 2021. The Glenside Hotel went above and beyond to make sure our day was as special as we imagined. We had our date in June 2020 and due to Covid this had to be changed 3 times and the hotel was so accommodating with all our changes. We also decided last minute to have our ceremony outside and this was no problem to the hotel. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. It was a magical day and we can’t thank Karen, Aogan and the staff for all they done for us on the day.

A. C.I was here for a function and based on past experience of functions was not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. The hake goujons in batter were tasty, the baked salmon fillet was moist and well cooked , the profiteroles were well presented. Overall a very satisfying meal all the better for being unexpected. Mask wearing and distancing were in place due to the Corona virus but the staff wearing P.P.E. were efficient and cheerful.

R. O.We are holding our wedding reception in The Glenside Hotel after having to postpone in April due to the current pandemic. In a time where a wedding could easily become a day to dread, the Glenside have been incredibly supportive and accommodating all the way. No amount of fairness or consideration has had to be teased from them, it's already in play from the top down. We are now faced with the possibility of having to halve our numbers and again the Owner himself has displayed an immense 'customer first' attitude that so many other venues have been found lacking, we have all heard about those. You can book your wedding here safe in the knowledge that you and your custom is valued and that you will be treated well even in these turbulent times.We can't rate this hotel and it's staff highly enough.

V. O.Delighted I found this little gem of a place just outside Drogheda.
The rooms are compact yet plenty of space for 2 people. Beds are very comfortable with summer weight duvets excellent for this time of year.
The standard of hygiene is 5 star and in the current climate of Covid 19 we felt very safe and well looked after during our 3 night stay .
The staff are attentive, friendly and professional 5 star standard, good old fashioned customer service is alive and well.
The grounds ar spacious and I found a nice little table at the end of garden for a little early morning peaceful reading while being serrated by the birds in residence.
The restaurant menu is varied to cater for a wide range of tastes. Food was excellent on the night we dined there.
Laytown, Bettystown and Mornington beachs are all within a few km.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely use thus little gem when we come back to Drogheda.

P. C.A lovely little hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and very reasonably priced. My mum lost a very expensive ring during our stay. The staff searched everywhere and found it. Really impressed with all aspects of the service too. We are there for a Christmas party. There are probably 150 people there.... menu was great, food was pipping hot and the courses were served very promptly. Excellent overall... will definitely be back.

E. W.This was my first time in the Glenside Hotel. Our group had a Christmas dinner there, followed by music and dance. Obviously, most of the time it is what you put in you get out, and the people in our group really were and had a lot of fun, dancing non-stop to a country-like band that invited for line dancing. Still don't know how to do this....must get YouTube tutorials. Anyway, the food was absolutely gorgeous. Plenty to choose from. I decided on vegetable soup for starters. That soup was home-made and delicious. Crunchy rolls with butter were served alongside. The perfect Harmony. Apart from vegetable soup, people could choose voule-vent with chicken, or liver pate with mungo chutney (great combination), and another starter that I had forgotten. As a main course we could choose roast beef, turkey, vegetable tarts or salmon. I went for turkey. It came with an incredible stuffing, a roast potato, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Yummy!!! Dessert came in the form of either apple pie, pudding, pavlova with fruits, ice cream and cream. I took that, and even though I was stuffed already, I managed to finish it together with a cup of tea or coffee. The staff was fabulous. They always had a smile on their face, looking out for the guests and possible wishes. It was a great evening. I heard they also do Sunday dinners. Must try that soon. No cooking, hurray.

F. B.Returned on 13th June 2019 for lunch, to my surprise the hotel has improved its foyer and toilets area. The dinner service was excellent and the food very tasty. The reception layout has improved. This renovation of the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant has a cosy feeling and can cater for large or small parties. All these changes has diffently place the hotel on the map for a return visit. (We did not stay at this hotel over night) Car park all clean and car spaces marked up. Special affordable rates for weddings, and well worth to call the hotel.

Called in for lunch at 14:00. The service was excellent and the food tasty. Price to suit every pocket. Definitely I will return.
Managenent have invested in the hotel and given the place a good makeover that was required.

It's conviently located outside of drogheda with ample parking.
There's a well known carvery lunch menu in the bar area most afternoons and the food is delicious.
There are two function rooms, a medium and a large sized. Fit and finish of these are good and there are plenty of staff to cater for an event.
I have not stayed overnight here so cannot comment of the bedrooms.

Valves broken on radiators so heating stuck on all night. On the plus side the staff were really friendly and breakfast was good, albeit a bit small.
