My family and I landed down here a few days before Christmas to gather ourselves after moving back home from abroad and are so glad that we did. It was a perfect stay and a great way to dip back into Dublin life. The staff were incredible; really genuine, warm and friendly. They were so kind to our two children. It's a beautiful little old style Dublin hotel full of gilded mirrors, paintings and winding corridors; its full of character. Our room was very spacious and warm. The beds were very comfortable. If you are staying I would highly recommend opting for the breakfast- the quality of the food was really excellent. The location allowed us to stroll down to the South William Street area in the evenings and it is also located right beside the National Museum and a short stroll from the Natural History Museum and National Gallery. We spent a lovely evening relaxing in front of the fire with a Guinness from the hotel bar that I still remember very fondly. I haven't a negative word to say about the place and are actually considering making a December stay here an annual thing for us.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Dublin City. Very welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Only issue was the over-plumped pillows on the bed.

We found Buswells Hotel to be comfortable and quiet. I loved the uniqueness of the building and the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is close to everything as well.

My husband and I just stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have picked a better hotel or location! It's very classy but not pretentious at all. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was wonderful with a nice, spacious bathroom and the hotel lobby was very cozy with a few fireplaces. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant too. Out of all the places we stayed in Ireland, this is the one I would go back to.

We spent two nights in Buswells hotel on the 3rd & 4th September 2021 and it was extremely enjoyable. We had a spacious triple room and breakfast each morning. It was the first time I had ever stayed in a city centre hotel in my own home town and it was an absolute pleasure. We will certainly make a return visit in the near future. Thank you very much to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

I stayed here on August 20th with my husband. I am very impressed by the staff, starting with the reservations, reception, bar, and breakfast bar. Everyone was very friendly and the service was very fast and very professional in the current conditions. They deserve more than 5 *.
Very clean and welcoming and in an ideal location if you are planning a day of shopping in Dublin.

Stayed in this beautiful hotel last week with my Mum - it has it all. Great location and access to parking. Rooms were clean and so cozy and well kept. The staff were absolutely fantastic , so attentive, welcoming and kind, we were so well looked after. 100 percent will be back :)

Wonderful people who made the stay pleasant, and were always ready to help. A benefit is that it is right in the city centre, close to St Stephen's Green Park which is a 'Must See'. Downfall is that the Hotel is at the Parliament building, which gets very loud with Protests. The room we were situated in got very hot, there is no air-conditioning. The floor level above us creaked a lot through the night, which made sleep restless.

Close to everything.Hotel staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Got to check in at 6 am from our overnight flight. Robert made our already delicious
breakfast even more enjoyable with lovely conversation and excellant service

Attentive service in beautiful old world, elegant surroundings. Completely charming. We would definitely stay again if returning to Dublin.

Just spent a lovely night in Buswells Hotel catching up with good friends in relaxing comfort. Though we all live in Dublin we seen it as a chance to treat ourselves, we got a great deal €170.00 per couple including dinner and breakfast. Rooms were fabulous, spotless clean, food was delicious and staff were lovely, all delighted to be back at work. I would highly recommend Buswells and I look forward to going back. Thanks Guys. x

Lovely atmosphere. Great staff.
Top class food.

this hotel is central, it is part of the original Irish hotels, it is evident that it is very old, it has an ancient charm, but at the same time very beautiful ... the crystal chandeliers give the rooms the right brightness ... my room was for 3 people, a little small but very comfortable .. it is equipped with water, coffee, kettle and biscuits ... the room was clean but with some imperfections .. nice and friendly staff ..

A beautiful hotel to relax and unwind Staff so nice and attentive and food really good with exceptional service with a smile

Lovely hotel and so nice for lunch. Staff are so pleasant and accommodating.

Always a nice place to visit when you want to step away from the hustle and bustle of town. A short walk from Grafton Street and the Stephen's Green centre

My Wife and I had the pleasure of staying in Buswells Hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time. If you want a traditional service delivered by kind hearted people who care about what they do then the Buswells Hotel is the one for you.
In addition to the excellent service the hotel throughout was exceptionally clean, thanks to Mary & her Team, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding luxurious. On a personal front a special 'Thank you' for Paddy who always makes us feel so welcome.

I can't sing the praises of this lovely jewel in Dublin enough. We stayed for a night as we attended a conference a few meters away. The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable. Our heating wasn't working and immediately someone came to check on it and also provided a mobile heater which was a lovely gesture.
The bathroom was gorgeous and the shower pressure was amazing!
Even though it was in the city, the rooms were quiet and the noise of the city was drowned out.
They were also quiet generous with the complimentary items in the room: tea making facilities, water etc.
Will definitely be staying again!

Great food and lovely warm bar with excellent staff.

Pro: Hotel was adorable, and the staff super friendly! Great location for walking around, as it is close to tour buses, shopping/eating, and Stephens Green. Tea was lovely. Has a restaurant attached with reasonable prices.
Con: Would have loved a bigger bed, and the key to our room hardly worked.
Would highly suggest!

Stayed here on a number of occasions and have always been impressed with the service. Really nice easy going atmosphere and very welcoming.

I absolutely loved our stay at The Buswell in Dublin. This historical property was full of charm, and the location is perfect. All of the employees were great and extremely helpful. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel restaurant. I subtracted one star for room size; it bothered my wife more than me. I would not hesitate to book a room here for our next trip. We also had our kids with us, and I would consider the hotel kid-friendly.

Cosy old fashioned atmosphere and good service

Great stay! Our small group of friends - as always - had a lovely time. Everyone was so helpful and the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the lobby and bar is fabulous. Rooms were spotless and breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of everything. Will be back!

Good staff, well run hotel
J. T.
Stayed here during the snow last March. The hotel room was very comfortable and suited my needs perfectly. It is located right in the centre of the city - 90 seconds walk from the main shopping street of Dublin.
The bar food was also quite tasty

If you haven't had the experience staying at Buswells, you haven't experienced Dublin. The rooms so comfortable and it's staff so cordial, I would put it on a "must" list of places to visit. It was charming, food delicious. I'm not sure how they are training their staff, but I have to say it's unlike any hotel experience we've ever had and we've stayed in many five star hotels. I think the experience that is hard to replicate is that everyone at Buswells cares that you have a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you Buswells!
W. C.
We stayed to do some touring in Dublin before going out to spend Christmas with family. We found Buswells to be a gracious setting in a wonderful location. It was convenient to many of the sights by foot and to the hop-on/hop-off bus for visiting more distant locations. The building is lovely and was beautifully decorated for the season. The room was a good size although not as well-appointed as the public areas, and the bath lacked shelves where you could put out toiletries. The staff were always friendly and gracious. The food and drinks were first-rate - wonderful breakfasts.
A. L.
If you are looking for accommodation right in the heart of Dublin with elegant atmosphere, look no further. Buswells was absolutely the best experience for weary travelers; the staff saw to our every need for the entirety of our stay.
The rooms were very comfortable, especially the spacious bathroom. It was warmer outside during our stay, and the hotel doesn't have air-conditioning (but neither do most historical buildings in Dublin). Opening the window was just fine, and the street directly in front of the hotel wasn't busy at all.
If you are interested in being close to all the museums and shopping, and don't care as much about the bars or pubs, this is perfect. The restaurant was also wonderful, as was the plentiful breakfast.
L. S.
I love Buswells for lunch - venue is very relaxing, varied lunch menu and staff are really friendly and profesional. Good to see too that 99.9% of staff wearing visors which is great to see. Worth a visit 😊😊

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times in 2017 for 2 and 3 nights at a time and it's my preferred choice in Dublin. Having said that, it would be nice if they had a loyalty/rewards scheme.
The welcome at breakfast is particularly nice and staff do seem to remember me from previous visits.
Overall, I've found it to represent pretty good value for money, but at busier times, it's been harder to say that.
T.
The excellent service we received while staying at Buswells is what made our short stay with you exceptional. Everyone from the night clerk who checked our bags after arriving in the wee hours of the morning, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and bar took really good care of us. Breakfast was great, and the bar/lounge area was a nice spot to spend a quiet evening. Leonore at the front desk is an absolute angel for letting us check in early, she really saved the day as we hadn't slept on our overnight flight as hoped and were completely exhausted. Irish hospitality at it's best! I will definitely stay with you again next time.

I love returning to Buswells Hotel. The 1st warm greeting &smile comes from Paddy. He is so willing to please &helpful with every query. I love the ambience of this Hotel I feel so comfortable &cared for away from the very busy world outside the front door! The bedrooms are very comfortable with a delicious breakfast to look forward to.The bar is a delight also &you never know who you might meet! Looking forward to my next visit on my next trip to Dublin.

Loved, loved, loved this hotel! My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights and we really enjoyed tge hotel experience as part of our Dublin experience. Rooms are wonderful. Staff was beyond kind and helpful and the restaurant was a comfortable place to hang out for coffee or food. Highly recommend.
T. V.
We had a six night stay at Buswell’s and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everyone on staff was very nice and friendly and we got to know several of them through our daily interactions. The hotel is in fine shape and exudes warmth and elegance. It is quietly situated but near all that Dublin has to offer. We will be back!
R. Z.
This was the best hotel of the entire vacation. They are located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Dublin. I have never seen hotel staff who were that eager to assist and they make you feel like royalty. The food in the restaurant was delicious but especially the full breakfast was absolutely amazing.
N. L.
If you are going you spend a week at a hotel in Dublin, Buswells Hotel is a perfect choice. Grand and beautiful while being quaint and homey. Close proximity to everything in Dublin. Quiet street, perfect location. Wonderful access to all Dublin has to offer. The staff was lovely! Having all of the amenities of an upscale hotel without the exorbitant prices. The bar and restaurant within were also top notch! As a guest, a nightcap, late-night cup of tea or coffee are always available, even after the bar closes to the public. Come down late one night and sit by the fireplace with a book or just to catch a quiet, peaceful moment. Highly recommend!
L. W.
Loved our hotel room here! We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the splendid breakfast each morning. We loved the location as it's essentially just across from Trinity College and within a 15-20 minute walk of a lot of the major attractions to see in Dublin! The staff were all very friendly, very helpful, and went out of their way to make sure their guests were comfortable.
S. E.
We stayed at the Buswells for the second time this year and were happy with our choice. Luiz and Paddy were extremely warm and welcoming, as were most of the staff members we met!! Our room on the third floor was a bit outdated and became quite stuffy, even when the heat was off and the windows were open. There appeared to be some construction going on throughout the hotel, so it seems that our room will likely be renovated. The bed was comfortable and can be requested with feather-free comforter and pillows if needed. The breakfast was good, but there are lots of little breakfast options in the area so be sure to explore if you are there for more than one night. The hotel location is perfect- walking distance to everywhere in the city. My husband and I are looking forward to our return visit in the spring and will be sure to request a recently renovated room.
C. L.
The decor and ambiance of the hotel are luxurious and pleasing. My room was large with a giant bed and the covers were the perfect tog. The bathroom was perfect and the shower was easy to use, even without my glasses.
The bar was warm with fires and lots of areas for people to sit and chat.
In the morning the breakfast was one of the best I've ever enjoyed in a hotel. The cooked breakfast included the best of ingredients and was perfectly presented. The buffet included pastries, cut fruit, continental elements (cold meats and cheeses), a variety of juices and everything you might hope to have in the morning.
The only thing I would improve about the facilities is the television. There was no list of channels and those available appeared to be the basic.
M. M.
We stayed at Buswells for a week with three young boys and found everything to be wonderful. The location is perfect - short walk to nearby attractions and public transportation, but also situated on a quiet street. The amenities are nice, and the hotel staff was very friendly and provided great service.
M. O. T.
Lovely hotel.very clean, well run and managed. First class breakfast with quality ingredients cooked to order. Reception staff particularly helpful. Only downside is that the bedroom was very small.
M. D.
Really great location, a central location but just far enough from the hustle and bustle to. Be unaffected by the noise. A brilliantly old school hotel where you have to leave your key with reception when you're heading out into town. A vintage decor but modern appliances. Staff are very helpful.
S. C.
The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Such a reasonable price for an awesome experience. Loved the cozy fireplace sitting area in the lounge. Great rainfall shower and nice touch with complementary sparkling water waiting in your room. Also within really short walking distance to some great pups (shout out to the Dingle whiskey bar and O'neils) as well as St Stephens Green, a lovely park with a pond.

Excellent service and friendly staff and great to see it open again

We chose Buswells primarily because of its ideal location. The hotel has real character and the staff were welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection to choose from. The family room was warm and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
J. M.
Very good accommodations, vintage, the room we take has a good size for 3 people. The shower is very good. It is well located but the price is a little bit high.
K. M.
We loved our stay at Buswell's. If we visit Dublin again, this is the hotel for us. By pass all the hotel chains and take in the history and charm of this Irish Boutique hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is fantastic. Dinner was superb and the breakfast was plentiful with many choices to start your day. For those people that need caffeine in the AM, the coffee served at breakfast will do the trick. No Starbucks for me!
A. A.
This was a lovely old boutique hotel in a convenient location. The concierge was so helpful and gave us great recommendations. I stayed in a single room and it had the best bed of my entire trip to Ireland! If I am back in Dublin I would stay again for sure!
M. J.
An oasis of calm. Bar lunch offers good varied menu. Staff very well trained. A delightful meeting place.
B. M.
Buswells is a beautiful treasure in the heart of Dublin. Very clean, bright, relaxing and quiet. Really lovely bar with comfortable public space and nice open fires. Great food and fantastic staff. An oasis in the city. A weary travelers dream!
S. S.
Great choice for our first trip to Dublin. A few blocks to shop and enjoy the restaurant scene. Staff attentive, beds are comfortable and breakfast included with rate.
A. T.
Buswells is like going back to late Victorian times and I mean that in a good way. Comfortable and unpretentious. Food excellent. The bar and restaurant are popular with politicians from Leinster House nearby but somehow imagination peoples the bar
with Nationalist MPs having a drink or nine before going over the North Wall to vote for Gladstone and Home Rule!
G. K.
Excellent hotel in lovely Dublin. The hotel is top notch, but the people that work there make my decision to return only to Buswells in the future. I have never been so well treated by staff in any of our past stays in hotels all over the world.
S. M. J.
I would definitely stay here again. The only frustrating thing we experienced was flying all night from the USA and not having a room for about 5 hours after we arrived to the hotel. We requested early check in, but it was never guaranteed to us. We were told a room would be available at 2pm but it wasn't until about 230. Trust me, this half hour after flying over really made us that much more tired. Overall, the location is amazing, especially for first timers to Dublin and the other services are fantastic. Everyone is very nice.

Best chowder in Dublin amazing staff
B. M.
I loved my stay and felt very secure and comfortable for three nights. Only thing, as my room faced the front street, with a window opened I could smell the smokers cigarette and cigar smoke below.
It would be fabulous to have a French Press coffee maker and grounds in the room too.
R. W.
Great location for walking to many tourist sites and pedestrian malls. Thriving area with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops. Hop on hop off bus goes right in front of the hotel. Lovely breakfast in the hotel. Welcoming lobby. Compact rooms.
S. M.
Highly recommended for its charming Georgian atmosphere, quirky layout, excellent bar, and just about perfect location near the heart of Dublin. Friendly and helpful employees made our stay enjoyable. This is a small-ish but popular hotel, so you have to book well ahead to avoid disappointment.
V. S.
We spent 4 nights there and I really liked it! The hotel itself is really clean with amazing service.
But the best about is the good location. You are really central and go everything by feet.
N. M.
Lovely hotel in a great, central location with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is good and freshly cooked coupled with a selection of fruit, cereal, breads and cold meats - couldn't fault it. I'll definitely be back.
C. H.
This was our first trip to Ireland and I can't imagine it having started in a better place! We got in at 4:45 am and we had coffee brought to us in your seating area and it was just so very nice after such a long flight. Your staff worked on getting us into a different room so we wouldn't have to wait and everyone just seemed to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant, quick to smile and offer directions or places to visit. And your hotel is just gorgeous!! I enjoyed sitting and looking out the front windows while we waited. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to anyone traveling to Dublin. Thank you so very much for making our stay a memorable experience and starting out our trip of a lifetime with excellence.
D. D.
Buswelll's is a very charming and nice place to stay if you are visiting Dublin. It is in a good location close to the airport and there are many nearby attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here.
R. W.
My top favourite hotel in Dublin. Friendly, welcoming, efficient with a warm old world atmosphere. Excellent service throughout and the breakfasts provide a marvellous start for each day.
C. O.
We enjoyed our break at Buswell's very much. It is a gem of a hotel in a great location for sight seeing, shopping etc. Staff definitely make the hotel with their friendliness and helpfulness! The bar is a lovely place to meet up and have a bite to eat and has a lovely atmosphere. Our bedroom was on the front, and unfortunately on two of the three nights there, an alarm, which I assume was an office alarm, went off on more than one occasion and kept us awake. (I appreciate this is nothing to do with the hotel, but thought it worth mentioning). We were slightly disappointed with the service at breakfast on two of the three mornings, i.e. on one morning, the hot breakfast arrived before I had finished my cereal, and so was cold by the time I got round to eating it. The breakfast staff need to be more diligent in checking that everything is on the table before seating guests, and in taking of orders. These are small points, as we had a wonderful three days in a very friendly, comfortable hotel, and we definitely be back soon!
M. C.
Exceptionally good overall. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is the Hotel's best asset. I would certainly recommend Buswells Hotel to my friends, and would go back again myself if Tariffs were a bit more reasonable for Pensioners.
M. M.
Lovely upscale hotel in the heart of Dublin. For the price & location, I was very surprised at the spacious and well appointed suite we received. The service & wifi were similarly excellent. I did not have a chance to sample the bar or restaurant.
j. h.
Very enjoyable. Staff 5 star.
T. C.
Cannot say enough good things about the experience we had with this hotel. All employees were friendly, helpful and pleasant. We have travelled extensively and there was not a hotel anywhere in our travels where the staff was so wonderful to us. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
N. O.
Great city-centre hotel. Very nice period features, clean and modern rooms, with very good breakfast. The bar was a bit of a letdown - too bright and a bit impersonal, but the lounge and lobby area is a good substitute. Good value for the location.
J. R.
Buswells Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Quiet, offering a full service bar and restaurant, and enjoying an excellent location, it is an ideal place from which to visit and explore Dublin. We very much enjoyed our stay and will book again on our next trip to Dublin.
G. M.
I have stayed a few times in this hotel, and love everything about it, highly recommend it, bedroom was lovely with a front view looking into Leinster House on the right, lovely bar, excellent location near the shops, restaurants etc, lovely staff in particular Vicki on reception who remembered me from staying before, a sign of a good business woman. Look forward to returning very soon. Well done to all the team at Buswells Hotel
A. G.
Always enjoy my stay at this charming hotel - the location is perfect for shopping and restaurants; feel very safe in the general area. Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Hotel is very comfortable and always clean to a very high standard. Have and will continue to recommend it to others.
D. S.
Good breakfast and a good restaurant here. Rooms are nice. Great location. Wi-Fi works well. Unfortunately there is a very large construction project, a new building next door - see the photo which is the view from our hotel room. Loud noise all day until evening. I liked the breakfast except for the coffee
j. i.
Our experience at this hotel was excellent. We stayed four nights in October 2015. The service of the staff, (Desk, Concierge and Room Maintenance) left nothing more to be desired. The Front Desk staff in particular was very accommodating, including confirming our scheduled trips in Edinburgh, Scotland).
The concierge was well aware of the evening hour activities in other establishments and completed reservations for us.
The overall 'feel' of this establishment was very comfortable.
This hotel is also well situated for walking to various parts of the city, Including crossing the river to the north side. Grafton street was lust a few blocks away and Trinity College (The Book of Kells), and St Steven's Green are literally 'around the corner locations.
As tourists, we feel that we could not have made a better choice in terms of of hotel quality and location.
M.
Fantastic value hotel with good access to main Dublin attractions. Perfect ambience for an afternoon drink before spending the night on the town. Staff couldn't do more to help us.
M. T.
Our family group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were comfortable, the food and drinks outstanding, and the attention to care and detail from the staff was most appreciated. The central location made navigating the city easy in the short time we were there.
V. F.
What a wonderful place to stay in Dublin. Warm and welcoming as if it were someone's home - truly you feel part of the family with the attention and services of an Old World hotel in the cultural heart of the city.
Comfortable, neat, friendly. You can feel the history and poetry of Dublin and walk to some of the most significant cultural places in the city including the incredible Yeats Exhibition in the National Library right across the street.
We will be back. Thank you!
F. D.
Was wife, myself & wife's sister. There was a separate room for the sister to sleep. That was nice & unexpected. On the downside, it seemed the shower had no COLD water. So the HOT only shower was like lava ( your water heater is VERY efficient ). We could not actually stand under the water. It was way too hot. It turns out, the knob that adds COLD to the mix was just very tight. It seemed to move to a point & stop ( and leave you with the lava shower ). But if you really force it, it turns further, and the shower become NICE. That was the only complaint. If not for that, I'd have given a 5 star rating. We intend to travel to Ireland again, and will be looking to stay here again.

This hotel is perfect for visiting central Dublin. It is comfortable and very relaxing. The staff here always put the customer first .A special thanks to Mr. Paul Gallagher for his kindness to us. I highly recommend Buswells.
S. O.
Room comfortable. Lift didn’t work for a short period on the morning of our departure, which made it difficult to move around with a buggy. Breakfast was terrible!!! Waiting up to 20 mins between the first hot plate been served to the last plate. Plates from the cold buffet were not moved and we had to request them to be removed to make room. No toast served?? Coffee was not nice.
J. K.
You can't beat the location ... right in the middle of all the main southside attractions. The hotel is nice, with very friendly service. And the breakfasts were very good with a nice selection of hot items along with the usual breads, cereals and fruits.
L. T.
As my very favourite hotel I find as soon as I go into the foyer I feel welcome.
The staff, the atmoshere ,the comfortable and stylish rooms , all meet my expectations.
Great location and a very convenient centre for a stay in Dublin .
S. Z.
Excellently located - close to lots of amenities, eateries and attractions but still quiet, and with nice large rooms. A great base for visiting the many museums and galleries in the area. The only issue is that there are numerous small split stairs, so people with mobility issues might find it difficult.
J. M.
Lovely bedrooms very comfy. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
b. m.
Great location, just around the corner from #TheIvyDawsonStreet. The decor is a little dated in the halls but everywhere is beautiful. Such a great location for a weekend. The bar is lovely and the staff are so nice.
D. L.
Charming hotel with comfortable rooms and plenty of hot water. Great location with easy access to sights. The overnight parking is paid by hotel. Easy to hear halfway traffic from bedroom in compact double room. Advise a big room for a quieter stay.
J. B.
We've stayed here twice now, and wouldn't consider anywhere else in Dublin. Besides being a great hotel, it's close to the City Centre, Temple Bar, Trinity College, and literally across the street from the admission-free national museums.
B. B.
A beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, and delicious food! The rooms were lovely with very modern bathrooms; and the building is in a wonderful location near Trinity College and many shops just a quick walk away (I'm 25 though so judge for yourself).
B. D.
The Buswells Hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious, staff attentive and service very good. Add this to the convenient location of the hotel and we will definitely stay at the Buswells for our next stay in Dublin.
D. O.
Had a xmas lunch with my former workmates today
Excellent food cud not be better allied with the top class and friendly staff.
Buswells is one of the best and cosy hotels in Dublin.
R. W.
We were able to have a late night sandwich in the bar. Also, they found a a musical to go to and printed the tickets out for us and we had a great time. They called the taxi service for us. Being able to buy Eros there was helpful. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
M. T.
Home from home in Dublin.
Buswells, Bewleys, Burdocks - 3 of the best.
P. H.
For one thing, the staff was excellent. The location was perfect. The room was impeccable and the food tastefully done. Having backpacked Ireland 46 years ago when I was a 19 year old college student it was a refreshing stay 4 days before heading to Waterford and onto Waterford Castle for my eldest son's wedding. Buswells made our trip memorable and one I would definitely come back to. The rich Irish history made it more impressive than I could ever hope to imagine.
W. B.
Great hotel, great staff, great room, great location. Definitely worth the stay! It is comfortably-distanced from Temple Bar so you can walk there if you'd like, but can also fall asleep at 10pm.
J. R.
We arrived a day early for our tour with a Rick Steves group. If Rick Steves uses a hotel, you can be sure it's a good one, & this is no exception. The location couldn't be better; easy walk to so many places in Dublin. The National Museum is literally across the street, & bus service is too. We were exhausted from the time change when we first arrived from the U.S. & when we checked in at the front desk, the receptionist noticed & asked if we wanted tea. She ordered some for us to have in the lobby since we were early in the day & our room wasn't ready yet - & didn't even charge for it. Service the entire time was like that - warm & welcoming. Our room was wonderful - clean & comfortable. Thanks to Buswells for such a friendly first impression of Ireland!

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Rooms are comfortable. Close to everything in city centre. Reasonably priced. Parking was very expensive even though the hotel picked up some of the tab.
S. T.
Great value for money in centre of Dublin!
This hotel is in a quiet street but very close to all the attractions (around the corner from Trinity College - but on the quiet side - only 5 or 10 minutes walking of pub and restaurant life). The rooms are very clean and quiet and the beds are very comfortable. My wife and I stay here for 4 nights. The first night we got a dark room with no view (room no 115). We contact the staff and they gave us a new room on top floor without any arguing. Great service! The room (no. 302) had a lovely style (see my photos) with all the facilities you'd require. Large bed and well appointed bathroom - but the floor tiles were the coldest I've ever set my feet on… There are free Wi-Fi in the rooms with OK speed but a little difficult to connect.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good range of choices from continental cheeses and meats, fruit, croissants to a full Irish. And what a beautiful breakfast area (see my photos).
A delightful hotel full of character, open fires and lots of small niches to sit in and read or watch the world go by! The entire staff was so professional, courteous, and went out of its way to accommodate every need we had during our stay.
So if you are on a budget, I would highly recommend this hotel!
Regards
Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

Love this place! Beware lots of odd half-floor stairs and lots of fire doors, which may be a problem for someone with disabilities. Pub had yummy food options. Perfect location for access to museums, shopping and restaurants/pubs.
B. K.
A very pleasant and satisfying stay in very comfortable accommodations. The parking option was helpful and the location couldn't have been better. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant, and I appreciated them being willing to help us even after we had checked out. Service above and beyond the call!

We had to change hotels after a tour, and thought Buswells looked like a good possibility, not knowing anything about it. We were pleasantly surprised by the central location, close to numerous sights we wanted to see. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had to deposit our bags there several hours before chek-in time. The layout was somewhat quirky, which is understandable when we read the hotel's colorful history. Adjacent buildings were added, resulting in jogs and level changes in the halls. The rooms are not big, but sufficient. Our room and bathroom were newly renovated. The modern bathroom was especially appreciated after having recently stayed in several more historical bathrooms in vairous grand old hotels.
We only visited the diningroom for breakfast, which was on par with several of the four star hotels we had recently visited. Our stay was only three days, and again, we were happy about the central location. It allowed us to pop into the room and rest a couple of times during the day and, for instance, just cross the street for another visit to the National Museum. We requested a taxi for the day of our departure, which arrived at the agreed upon time. We would defininitely stay at Buswells again, and not hesitate to recommend it to fellow travelers.
G. B. D.
Good room. Outstanding customer service. Nice location. Old, but well conserved building. My window was facing a wall and there were people working just outside of it at 8am on a saturday. A little bit noisy.
M. H.
While in Ireland we stayed at a total of 11 hotels and B&B's. The staff at Buswell were the most helpful and accommodating! It was so appreciated! Their commitment to service, suggestions, and assistance really put our 'once-in-a-lifetime vacation' on a great start! There were a few other places we stayed where I had wished they had the same excellent service as Buswell! Thank you!
P. C.
I love Buswells, it's location and old worldly charm. There are too many hotels that all look the same and have no character or warmth about them. Have recommended Buswells to several friends and hope to return before the end of the year. Keep up the good work and pass on our compliments to all staff for a job well done.
D. C.
Another memorable visit to Buswells which is not quite an annual post marathon pilgrimage but it's close. Good fare and fine pints and plenty of room. Sure you couldn't go wrong.
K. M. C. O.
Having traveled to Ireland on 8 different occasions, never - never - would we stay anywhere other than the Buswells. Conveniently located to such "must see" locations as St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, and the Temple Bar district, no reason to consider other hotel options. Great service and a very fair price.
J. B.
The service is exceptionally good... The downstairs bar is warm and inviting... Breakfasts are delicious... Location is perfect. Very nice old-world feel... like staying at some one's home... creaky stairways and all!
A. C.
Overall we enjoyed our time in Buswells Hotel and would consider staying there again. Staff were very professional especially for breakfast and at Reception. Our only gripe was the standard of the first room we were given (claustrophobic) so would need to ensure a good quality room next time. Also cut out the noise in the corridors early in the morning.
K. S.
Lovely hotel right in the most fun part of Dublin, near shopping, restaurants, Trinity College. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was good, and the bar was a nice, cozy spot.
D. P.
Very good Hotel.
Our room was very nice with a big comfortable bed, very friendly employees, totally clean and silent. Well we will come back.
Y. B.
Great hotel. Close to shopping, transportation. Parking was rather expensive. The hotel cover only overnight charges. Good fresh breakfast. Staff very attentive. The building is old, and so, no elevater. Narrow hallway. Comfortable beds.
J. B.
I enjoyed a very nice afternoon today with a friend. We found Buswells Hotel very comfortable and food lovely. The staff were friendly an service excellent. A lovely visit and i will be back again soon.
M. L.
I don't know Buswell's could be better. It's a pretty, well-located place with excellent staff, a good restaurant and bar. I would stay there any time I'm in Dublin, and will certainly recommend it to anyone traveling there. For those in Dublin on business, it would make a fine meeting place.
S. M.
Nice spot for tea and scones. Friendly staff but just over €14 for 2 tea and 2 scones was a bit steeper than I had expected. Maybe I’m too long out of Dublin and too used to prices down the country.
S. M.
We found the hotel staff very helpful and looked after our needs when requested. Really welcoming hotel which we like to use whenever we're coming to Dublin. Breakfast was superb
S. B.
My second stay at Buswells. This time I brought my parents along. They loved it. It's our new home when we visit Ireland! Fantastic location. Very helpful staff.
B. C.
Homely feel, excellent service in all areas, staff very efficient, friendly. Good choice for accomodation, central location, good range of meeting rooms, bar and dining room clean and comfortable, and the penultimate test, price of a pint of plain rates very competitively with nearby bars.
t. k.
An oasis in the city. Always peaceful with friendly staff and a reasonable bar food menu..
K. S.
Really lovely hotel in the centre of Dublin. Large bar area and wide range of menu choices. Staff excellent. Have already booked for our next visit to Dublin. Recommended
E. G.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city...just a quick stroll to all of the major sites! Service was excellent, and the food in the restaurant was delicious :) Definitely will stay here again on my next trip to Dublin!
D. R.
The atmosphere was just right. Busy but with time for everyone. NB The head waiter knew us and welcomed us even after our second appearance on the first day. Worth his weight in gold.
D. C.
Excellent hotel in an ideal location. Staff are very professional and friendly. Breakfast is top class. Looking forward to further stays during the year.
B. A.
This hotel was a hidden gem. We absolutely loved everything about it!! Hope to be back soon. Staff we worked with were the absolute best and went out of their way to make our stay great. All three of them!!! Big shout-out to Luiz, Dino and Andrew!!!
N. B.
Room was very nice and freshly renovated, but still smelled a bit of fresh paint. Staff was delightful and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
R.
The only disappointing aspect was that on a number of occasions during our stay, parts of the lounge were roped off or marked as "reserved", with no one sat there. Only once did a reserved sign give a 'time reserved from' sign.
On one occasion, the seats in the reception area also had reserved signs on the tables. It turned out that the reservation was for people who were not staying at the hotel. As paying guests, we found this practice rather irksome, as we had been asked to move elsewhere from the reception area - there was nowhere else to sit!
M. O.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Robert the Restaurant Supervisor in Buswell’s hotel today and to say that he took customer service to a new level is positively not an exaggeration. Impressive to say the least. His colleague’s have a lot to live up to to reach Robert’s level.
Simply the best!
M. F.
Stayed here 1 night. Overall, great experience! Loved the location, perfect area to walk around and explore. Room was decent. Nothing luxurious, but clean and comfy.
a. s.
Met my daughter for a quick coffee and ended up staying for lunch. Food delicious and reasonably priced. Great little resting area.
C. H.
Buswells has a feeling of old world elegance, but not in a way that is stuffy or uncomfortable. It is charming and friendly, as well as very conveniently located for everything we wanted to do in Dublin. If I am ever fortunate enough to return to fair Dublin, I will definitely consider staying there again.
E. N.
This is just about the bar: nice atmosphere, central location, lots of room. The coffee is even decent for a filter. I wasn't expecting to pay 2.80 euros for it though!
M. C.
A wonderful hotel, clean, and neat. The staff were helpful and efficient. The hotel itself was central enough to be walking distance to everywhere, but still quiet enough not to notice
M. M.
First time visit but won't be our last, great little quaint hotel in Dublin Centre and just a short walk to both Grafton Street and St Stephens Green.
As good as any 4 or 5 star hotel in the area.
👍👍👍
A. G.
Lovely hotel, wonderful location within close proximity to Trinity, St Stephen's Green, Grafton St, Dublin Castle and Temple Bar. Staff were wonderfully accommodating and kind. Great stay.
M. H.
We really enjoyed our stay. From the excellent service from the night porter, Dave (who made us coffee after our overnight arrival), to all of the staff. Just perfect.
J. L.
Room was lovely, maybe bed was a bit small, Service was good. Would go back no problem.
J. N.
The staff were all very friendly and so helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. The location of this hotel is perfect.
p. h.
Cosy old fashioned atmosphere and good service
B. H.
I first stayed in Buswell's in the 1970's with my wife and young children on visits from Brooklyn. Over the next 20 years we would be there on regularly. Later I was frequently in Dublin on business in the 90's and Buswells became became my office as well as home away from home. Then one of our small children who was with me in the 1970's married an Irish girl and we now stay at their home on our many visits to Dublin - so now the bar and restaurant are our regular meeting places as well as our invariable stop for lunch. Paddy, the doorman for many years had the idea that I looked like President Kennedy. Whenever I would arrive I knew I would be greeted by "Welcome back Mr. Kennedy'." Now when I come in the lobby I see his photograph and can hear him welcoming me again in his wonderful Dublin accent.
M. K.
This was our second stay with Buswells. We enjoy its old world charm, and warm feel. Should we plan another trip to Ireland we would be delighted to return to this location.
M. F.
The only negative comment is the interior temperature of the hotel. We found it much too warm; however, we did notice that seemed to be a common practice in many places we went to in the south of Ireland during our week's visit.
N. W.
Fantastic Hotel. Central location. Staff wonderful, who go above and beyond to help and make your stay comfortable. Would highly recommend.
M. C.
A classic hotel of the old school in the best way. Great location, good decor, traditional feeling and helpful staff. I am happy to stay here and return.
A. M.
Wow this place has changed enormously in the past 10 years! While something of a cultural landmark due to its location & the varied kinds of intellectual activities held therein the place is now a lovely cosy 'old school meets new school' hotel restaurant & bar with helpful kind staff. Great place for hanging out.
A. Z.
If it's about ambiance, this is a fabulous place to stay. The folks that took care of us, from the front desk to the bell hop to the multiple requests for room service, The people were marvelous!
S. E.
Completely enjoyed our stay - wonderful breakfast; room small but cosy and comfortable! Location was great to walk to everything we needed!
s. b.
I've stayed here six times so far and will be here two more times this year. I will always stay at Buswells while in Dublin. It just has everything you could ever want in a hotel. See you soon dear Buswells!! 😘
J. A.
Great location at center of city!! Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. The staff was fantastic and saw to our every need. Highly recommend!
K. I.
We loved our stay at Buswell’s Hotel! The. Location was perfect, accommodations lovely and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We would definitely consider staying there again.
D. H.
Lovely hotel with comfortable, clean bedrooms very well located to the shops. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble
H. S.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Just a shame we were in a room which needed some updating and was also loud in terms of hearing other guests walking around and banging doors.
C. H.
Very nice and clean hotel! It has an old irish look, but it's spotless and the staff is very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
E. P.
Everything was excellent, staff, service, food, bar. The only draw back was the room was small but this did not spoil my overall experience and would always stay and recommend Buswells hotel.
J. H.
This is the kind of intimate, comfortable and gracious hotel you always dream you'll find in a city! The lovely helpful staff, comfortable beds and beautiful furnishings, the great location ... We will be back again!
C. J.
Buswells is a singularly superb traditional hotel the like of which is fast disappearing - in all honesty the finest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff are long serving and treat you as an individual not a number. You'll never find another Buswells.
R. B.
Our first time to Ireland and I would recommend the Buswell Hotel to anyone. The hotel staff can't do enough for you. Rooms were perfect, restaurant was delicious and the location was prime.
M. S.
A great old fashioned hotel with service, food, comfort all absolutely top notch. A couple of areas of decor and fixtures need some TLC but hardly a cause for concern. Would 100% stay here again.
c. h.
Overall this is a good place to stay for the location and convenience of the bar and restaurant. A little more attention to detail and improved staffing would elevate this hotel from good to great or possibly excellent.
J. W.
A great place to have afternoon tea in this well known hotel. Service friendly and prompt. Relax into the soft seating and ambient surroundings
D. K.
A family get together for a concert.
Hotel in a nice, quiet area, close to all restaurants and bars.
A charming place. very traditional.
Breakfast a little disappointing.
M. P.
A very nice hotel in the heart of Dublin. Excellent staff. It is very close to the National Gallery and other cultural sites.
J. H.
This is the second time we have stayed here on trips to Ireland. We love that it is centrally located to the major sites in Dublin and the get on -get off bus, it has excellent service, and is a very comfortable hotel.
A. M.
Great place to meet friends for coffee or a drink. Was there for a meeting. Excellent facilities for same. Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. Historic venue also.
C. D.
Warm, friendly, relaxing hotel. Will stay again. Hope there is no mix up with the bar bill next time. Everything else was excellent.
J. C.
Really nice hotel but letdown by the bathroom. No hot water and mouldy. At over 200 euro for one nights stay you expect a clean fully functioning bathroom as standard.
k. j.
Good hotel. Some rooms are small some different but an experience nevertheless . Decent breakfast. Right near St Stephens Greens
A. B.
Came in with a 1.5year old kid and was treated to free bawl of veggies and very nice and helpful staff. That was not my first visit here; held meetings earlier. Very good place.
M. M.
If you want a great central location , wonderful service and value for money stay here. This is our fourth visit and we'll be back again soon. The location is so good. Just a stroll to Grafton Street, Stephens Green etc.
R. C.
Honestly, we looked over the skylight from room 104. While a view of the roof wa not the worst thing in the world, the noise of the seagulls kept waking us up and because there is no AC we were unable to close them.
A. G.
Great place to stay. The customer service was great and the overall atmosphere very nice. It's an older hotel, but very well maintained.
D. O.
Great hotel in a great location.
Only negative point was noise from the street, next time I'll ask for a room at the back of the hotel.
Will return for sure.
C. P.
Lovely rooms. You really get the feelig of old town homes. Service is beyond amazing. Looking forward to returning.
G. M.
I like this place more than others, has an old world feel to it and although quite nearby to Dawson street area remains quiet and restful place to meet-up with friends and have a chat without background noise.
L. L.
Pleasant comfortable hotel in fabulous location in the heart of Dublin's cultural and shopping district. Very clean, excellent service with welcoming efficient staff.

The hotel had everything you would need, was happy to spend time in the hotel as the warm friendly service you got made you want to stay in. Will stay here again if travelling to Dublin again in the future.

I was here for a focus group so I didnt use any of the bar facilities ..but the coffee available was nice but the drinking water could have been colder.
B. S.

D. B.
Very well located old style hotel with plenty of character. Would like to stay again......even though we live within 12 km!

Loved how close the hotel is to restaurants and museums in the heart of the old city. Great access to the Hop on/Hop off buses and walking distance to other attractions.
D. L.
We are so glad we found this hotel for our short stay in Dublin! Everything was wonderful--the staff was helpful and friendly and the decor was beautiful.
L. B.
We would stay here again as it was a very enjoyable visit. Anyone who desires a clean, quiet, and friendly hotel should consider staying here.

Group of 6 travelling for concert
Half group greeted by fabulous member of staff
Other half who arrived 30mins later greeted by not as friendly staff member
Location great
Parking available close by and hotel pays overnight rate
Breakfast and service of was very good and very efficient
J. R.
Nice decor. Good staff. Given its location you would expect it to be totally pricey but not so on a number of drinks and food available.
B. F.
Outstanding service, warm friendly and go the extra mile.
Location is perfect for exploring with National Gallery, Library, and the Archeological Museum all within one block from the front door.
M. M.

Smart hotel in a great location. Only there for a quick one nighter but the room was clean and smart and the staff exceptional.

C. P.
It is what it is and in this case a venue for presentations and press conferences. If they could install some decent lighting a hoarde of camerapeople and photographers would be very grateful.
