A lovely clean hotel with a great comfortable bed.
The check in was quick ¬ Not all the facilities were explained to us, such as bar area & where breakfast would be served. That would be being picky as we both enjoyed the stay. A lovely touch left in our room upon arrival. Thanks
A. B.
It was nice. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff at front desk. Good location. The only thing I would have changed is no washcloths in the bathroom. We asked at front desk and were told you didn’t provide them. It’s hard to bathe with the provided body wash without a washcloth. Also the breakfast offered needs improvement. Bacon was dangerously undercooked and the eggs are disgusting. The staff for breakfast area was visibly mocking the guests.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Davenport. Every staff member we interacted with was professional and friendly and helpful. Room was great, clean and roomy. Love the remodeling job. Thank you for holding our luggage. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choices. We would definitely recommend to others. We have absolutely no complaints or concerns. Thank you for a lovely stay for our 1st time to Ireland.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Close to Grafton St, Trinity and all Dublin City locations.
Rooms very nice, and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside was food. Breakfast is self-service, no sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, took 15 min for more to arrive. Waiters did there best, but obviously kitchen not up to it. Ordered tea and coffee arrives. For prices charged they need up there game for a 4 star hotel.

Thank you for a lovely stay, from the moment we arrived the staff were exceptional. The restaurant is lovely and the food fantastic. I think what made the stay a most pleasant one was definitely the service from the receptionist, the bar and then the breakfast room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I shall be back.

Perfect location near Merrian Square. Walkable to most areas on the south side of the river; and very close to the Hop-on-Hop Off tour bus. Breakfast was very good and the hotel bar was excellent. Paul, at the front desk, was so helpful and has a great sense of humor. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Dublin in the future.

A wonderful hotel. The rooms are certainly on the spectrum of luxury with their classic design and modern fixtures. I also appreciated the subtle local touches such as the wool blankets on the beds. The location is fantastic. Very central and walking distance from Trinity University and a plethora of great shopping, sights, and restaurants. The staff was also incredibly pleasant and helpful! They gave wonderful advice on restaurants and activities as well as made my family and me feel very welcomed. For instance, they recommend The close by and excellent Gingerman pub and a near by coffee shop that will pair a free truffle with your drink. As an added bonus, they also have parking - a rare find for hotels in Dublin. I loved my stay and will only stay here if I ever return to Dublin, no other place could compare.

What a nice place. Fairly new upgrades. Comfortable rooms. Just wish their restaurant served dinner or at least the bar had heavy snacks later in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.
B. S.
This is a very nice hotel in a good location. Can walk to most places. Room was big, clean. Service was friendly. Unfortunately there was a noisy pub outside our window that seemed to be open half the night. Since it was warm we had to keep window open & it was hard to sleep.

I am not sure how many stars you claim, but we generally stay at 3-4 star hotels. Based on price and reputation, we thought the Davenport would be a 4-star. It was not. You do not have a fitness centre on premises -- walking across the street in the rain, in my workout clothes, not an option. No bathrobes in the room and when I called to inquire, the response was dubious. Breakfast at about a 3-star level (steamtable eggs, not cooked to order). A 10-euro deposit on borrowing an umbrella. And the suite we were "upgraded" to, 120, is noisy because it overlooks the lobby, and has no natural light in the bedroom. Would not return.
B. J.
Well located for transport links, tourist attractions and easy walk to the centre of Dublin. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were generally pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and offered continental and full breakfast options. Full breakfast menu would benefit with the option of vegetarian sausages and beans being included.
Dinner was good for most of our party but nonexistent for one who got hers after the rest of us were nearly finished. The waiting staff were very apologetic but getting the order right the first time would have been good.
Overall a good stay and would return again .

Beautiful rooms and location. Amazing breakfast and very helpful staff. We stayed in Feb 2020 and we cannot recommend enough!

The Davenport is a gorgeous, comfortable and clean. The staff are very nice. Due to our flight being rebooked we ended up taking a red eye and arriving early. They were able to accommodate an early check in and even upgrade to a executive king room. The king bed was two twin beds with an adjoining piece in the middle, however I didn’t notice this too much as the bed, duvet and pillows were so comfortable! The individual temperature control for the room was so great as I like it cool. We were on the 4th floor and never hear any sounds from the road or other guests. There is a 757 Airlink stop from the airport right outside, a hop on hop off bus a block away and two nice pubs across the street with good food. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling.

Beautiful building, and a fairly good location for the price. There isn't much around the area in terms of good restaurants, so you'll have to walk towards Trinity to find anything. Across the street there is a good bar though. The rooms were very nice, with very plush bedding. The bar had good food as well.
D. G.
Very nice hotel, but ever so slightly starting to show signs of age. The rooms could do with a little spruce. That being said it's extremely affordable and you are directly in the centre of Dublin. I think it would be in their interest to just give the rooms a little refresh.
t. j.
As good as last year - no decline in service (i.e. top quality). Although the designer of the shower cabinet must have been unlucky when he/she was thinking. A door that separated the actual shower from the towels and the rest of the bathroom would have been nice. As is, everything is in the risk zone of becoming wet.
L. B.
The room I stayed in was not that nice at all. Big but empty with a really tiny tv that had only 3channels it was ridiculous. The bathroom was not super clean nor new. There were only blank pages in the in room dining service and in general it needs a big refresh throughout...
D. H.
Fantastic Hotel with even better staff.centrally located, close to all the tourist attractions. Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely look to stay there again.
S. H.
Typical Irish hotel. Carpets everywhere, brown colors, not really my cup of tea but others probably enjoy it. The worst part about this hotel was the sink which had two separate taps for hot and cold water far away from each other. So either scold or freeze yourself. Staffs nice and food was alright as well.
C. G.
This was our second stay at the Davenport and we will most likely not return. The best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the excellent Gingerman pub next door which is a fine spot to grab lunch. It is a good location very near Trinity which you'll discover as you must walk all the way around the campus to get anywhere. The rooms are of reasonable standard but are showing their age. The TV is small and old with only a few Saorview channels with bad reception. This is despite their website which promised pay-per-view movies. After a busy day out we were disappointed to find the bar closing down at 10pm on a Friday night. The register was closed and no crisps were to be had. Being we were wrecked and only hoping for a pint, packet of crisps, and a movie this really made the hotel feel like it was for geriatrics.

My hubby took me to the Davenport on Sunday for afternoon tea as a belated mothers' day treat and I must say, I was blow away by the quality of the food and tea; by far the best I've had in Dublin or anywhere in Ireland to be honest! The cream scones and jam were an absolute highlight and I'll be back here with my own mother, girlfriends and/or colleagues at the next available opportunity! Highly recommended!!
T. O.
I had beer battered cod and chips at lunch time. The fish was so fresh, it fell apart, absolutely delicious. Lovely ambience for lunch. Waiter was very attentive and polite
M. P.
The staff were very friendly and your location is great but it feels like the hotel could do with freshening up. The decor was very tired in our room and I have certainly paid similar rates for a far more upmarket room than the one I had. I appreciate tradition is a wonderful thing but not if comfort suffers as a result.

Great place for lunch. Food is always excellent and the service is fantastic, notably Jackie. The bar is spacious and not too noisy if you are looking for a quiet lunch.
S. R.
Very nice hotel with helpful staff. Location was great right next to a beautiful park, and within walking distance of several places to eat, drink, and shop. I will definitely stay here again!!
B. &. C. B.
Would stay here again if we get back to Ireland. Place was clean and rooms were large. King size bed was a huge plus!
J. M. (.
Good location for where I needed to be. Only bad thing was takeaway breakfast, croissants put in with fruit in an open bag and just became a a mess of pastry. Bits, and basic ham and cheese sandwiches (for breakfast?). Breakfast not served till 7 so this is the only option before then.
G. P.
I visited the Davenport Hotel to try the traditional afternoon tea with my family in Dublin and enjoyed quite a lot.
Food was unbelievable and the atmosphere is quite relaxing - for sure I’ll go there again!
P. A. S.
A nice place but does not have the attention to the details that a place like this should know about. The breakfast staff is inexperienced and loud while there is peaceful string music playing in the background. The TV is small and poor reception. This place must have been something in its day but not now.
P.
Overall great hotel, welcoming and friendly staff and very well presented hotel. A little unclean and holes in bedding knocking it down a bit.
B. C.
Excellent service, clean hotel. Breakfast is included, so that's a plus. They were always very helpful and accomodating.
H. 2.
Staying on 6th flr. Here for 3 nights. Room is pretty shabby. Carpets are stained. Mold on bathroom ceiling and some tiles. Mold around window. Staff is nice but not impressed with the accommodations and would not recommend this hotel.
K. S.
Very nice hotel in the heart of Dublin. Lots of staff so service was ace. Rooms to a very good standard. Nice touches
L. J.
Everyone else was so nice at the hotel, the everyone at the front desk, restaurant, breakfast staff and the cleaning crew. We loved the hotel!!! It was a flawless stay!
M. O. M.
Staff were very friendly and helpful...unfortunately we could only be provided with one key card amongst 3 people sharing...our stay was on a Saturday night.. .and we had been informed via email that there was renovations in progress.. .but we were not expecting it to be happening at 8am on a Sunday morning.. .that was very disappointing...despite this.. we would go back again...location is excellent.. .
A. K.
This place was fantastic. I wish I had been able to stay longer. Staff was courteous and helpful. Located near Trinity College, shopping and pubs. I would highly recommend!
A. A.
Very nice hotel. A little out dated for the price per night. Not much around it, you have to do some walking to get to the places that have most of the food and shops.
O. D.
Wonderful experience. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful. Best breakfast I had in all of Ireland!!!
U. X.

Staff couldn't have been firendlier or more helpful - ALL of them. Comfortable, relaxed hotel in a fantastic central spot. Thank you/Go raibh míle maith agat!
T. C.
Great location and beautifully presented reception. Rooms need updating and staff were curt and uninterested.
L. G.
All was good, except breakfast on day of check-out: Breakfast is supposed to start at 7am but we (4 of us) didn't succeed to get any hot beverage until we left, at 7.30am
J. O.
Had lunch here. Very warm and cozy setup. Staff was very polite and helpful too.

I did the christmas party there with the company. Beautiful building bad organisation of a party. Barely finished to eat and the staff already started cleaning and sending us home at 12 am .

Only went there to deliver for an exhibition, but the staff were extremely helpful and gave us a complimentary coffee. Would stop there when in Dublin on a break.

Its location allows walking visitors (a little bit) to easily visit the main places in the heart of Dublin. Small plus two very nice adjacent Pubs at reasonable prices.

3.5. Tourist hotel. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Got us into our room before Noon, which was excellent after a flight. But tepid, at best, hot water.
M.
Hotel was beautiful, staff was LOVELY, breakfast was great. My only criticism — their website explicitly says they offer laundry service (as seen in attached photo) so I packed for 1 week even though I’m staying for 2. Turns out they don’t; only dry cleaning. I was at conferences and work dinners, so no time for laundromat. And all the wash/fold/delivery services were booked out for days, so no option to get it delivered in time. So now stuck with dirty clothes for another week.
J. S.
We stayed in this hotel and what an amazing place this is...staff where all very professional and very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again great value for money..are room was lovely and breakfast was great...
A. S.
The hotel was great, service, cleaning and equipment above and beyond only thing washcloths are missing in the bathroom. Breakfast included in booking with great value. Situation of the hotel is near a lot of sightseeings also restaurants, pubs and public transportations.
D. G.
We loved our stay. Especially the treatment of the staff (especially Miss Rosilex). Thanks very much.
J. C.
I stayed in The Davenport Hotel while in Dublin on business. The service was exceptional! Special shout out to Ronald and the rest of the breakfast crew who made sure I had my ginger and lemongrass tea every morning.
N. S.
Stayed here this weekend and had an amazing time. Simón was so welcoming and sweet when we checked in, made us feel very well looked after.
Room was a great size, loads of space and storage available. Very comfortable beds, the default bedding is down so if you have allergies make sure to say, we had no issues getting ours swapped really quickly when we arrived (we had forgot to say in the booking!)
Great location in Dublin City center, made it very east for us to get around. If you need a taxi there always seemed to be loads around, never waited more than 2 minutes for an Uber to arrive.
A. L. (.
I absolutely loved our stay at the Davenport while we were in Dublin. I was looking for a nice hotel in the city center of Dublin, but not break the bank. This was a lovely modern hotel with great amenities. The beds were comfortable, rooms very clean, spacious and well decorated. There were plenty of stocked towels and toiletries in the room. This may sound crazy, but I love the smell of this hotel. As soon as you entered the lobby, the sweetest smelling aroma filled the air. We also had dinner and drinks at their restaurant, pricey, but good, if you’re not looking to leave the hotel for a meal. The location was fantastic and there were a few pubs across the street and everything was within walking distance. It only took us a 15 minute walk to get to the Temple Bar area. Really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend if you’re wanting to stay in a more upscale hotel in Dublin.
C. W.
Nice hotel. Location was great. Service was really nice. Could have used some more natural light in the room but it is what it is.
P. C.
Stayed here with my wife and son a fews week ago for one night. Fully enjoyed the hotel from start to finish. Staff very friendly. Room clean and tidy. Good large room but natural light was not great. Breakfast was excellent with the choice of both a la carte and Buffett. The porridge from the a la carte menu with the whiskey and honey served on the side was the best porridge I ever had by far. My wife and son’s breakfast were amazing too. Will definitely stay again.
M. C.
Room and hotel were great. Room was perfect for family. Compliments to the interior designers, especially the lobby and dining areas.
Irish breakfast buffet was the perfect start to each day.
N. M.
We stayed here for two nights and loved it. When we landed in Dublin it was early and our driver brought us here. We expected to just drop off our bags since it was well before the check in time. Emilly Pinto at the front desk was able to get us all three rooms for our party of six and let us check in early! It was awesome! The location is great and convenient to walk to the St. Stephens Green Park, the Ireland Archaeology Museum, Art Museum, Natural History Museum, and Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. We also enjoyed walking through Grafton St to see all the merchant shops and the St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre.
We ate dinner once at the hotel and the staff, service and food was amazing. We ate breakfast every morning, which was included with our rooms, and loved each experience. Orla, the young lady overseeing the breakfast rush, was friendly and added to the enjoyability of our dining experience. The buffet has incredible breakfast offerings. Lots of options, plus you can order from the menu.
Our room had a spacious sitting area, very comfortable bed, and came with two robes and slippers as well as a pillow menu, which I took advantage of! We all loved our stay here and will miss it as we push on with our tour of Ireland. Thanks for the exceptional service!
Update: We Stayed here for our last night in Ireland. Emilly, who checked us in two weeks ago, also checked us out. She is very friendly and recognized us and asked us about our trip. We had a wonderful night in what was our favorite room, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast (again). Orla also recognized us. Very friendly, very delicious food! Thanks for a wonderful three nights (total)!
S. R.
Lovely, clean and modern, both the room and the hotel in general. Great shower, breakfast and restaurant food. Staff were absolutely fantastic. My friend had a bad fall in the city centre, made it to the hotel, where staff bent over backwards to help. Their first aider checked my friend's injuries, kept calling the ambulance until it was obvious it would be several hours, and kept us informed every step of the way. Phoned around to find the most suitable hospital, organised a wheelchair and appropriate taxi to get her there, checked back with us after we returned to the hotel and finally made a follow-up call after our departure to see if we arrived home safely. All despite the fact that the accident was nothing to do with them, not even anywhere near the hotel. Couldn't recommend the Davenport any more highly.
b. w.
Beautiful hotel and very accommodating staff . The service was outstanding. Great location within walking distance to parks , museums , shops , pubs and restaurants.
S. L.
Amazing hotel with a 5 star breakfast. Rooms are spacious, super clean and they smell amazing. Beds are too end.
Just one of the best experiences in Dublin.
Thanks!

Had the most amazing Fish n Chips here sunday 26th March. The crispy batter was really crispy just the way I like it. Service was impeccable. Many thanks to the staff in the bar and the chefs. I Will be back.

Place was fab!! Went to meet a mate coming from America and we had late lunch there. Food was good and service was top notch. barman Stephen was a sound lad looked after us with great detail.

Lovely staff, but do make sure you request fresh sheets. Mine were dirty on arrival, and the room was not cleaned to a satisfactory level mid stay
S. O.
Attended business event. Well-managed with fresh tea / coffee and pastries. Staff clearly visible checking room on ongoing basis.

This hotel was the nicest thing about my time in Dublin.
From the attention at reception from Charlene who was always looking out for our stay to be perfect, to the huge room we had, we were delighted and rested very well.
The food in the restaurant was very delicious, we ordered fish and chips and were very satisfied.

Marina.|The Davenport hotel has been a comfortable hotel that meets good conditions to have a great stay in Dublin. But if we have to highlight something else, it has been the hotel staff. We have traveled a lot, but this time it has been unbeatable. We have to make special mention of Damla, Rosilex (Rose) who has been wonderful with us and Zury who has taken care of our last minute problems with such diligence that we will hardly forget him. Thank you very much indeed.
S. (.
Hotel ideally located a few minutes walk from Piearce station and a few minutes walk from the city center. There are also many bus stops nearby.
The rooms are rather spacious and well maintained.
The soundproofing is perfect and the air conditioning efficient.
The breakfasts are generous (all-you-can-eat buffet)
The staff is great and attentive.
The hotel is also located in a very pleasant area.
We highly recommend
Y. Y.
Good service, great location, great rooms, good cleanliness and great food.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Dublin, well located and well served by buses and trams nearby.|5 minutes walk from Trinity College. |Calm for a city center hotel, it also makes people say that Dublin traffic is not as intense as Paris! Lol|It's a classy, opulent establishment, with charm and modernity, beautiful rooms and comfortable, well-equipped rooms, the view is not always there but as we were only there in the evening, it wasn't It wasn't very serious. |I recommend their breakfast if it is very good, very well kept, quiet and the little extra is that we were received by a French woman who found this hotel, Marie, who gave us good advice and was very kind. |The quality/price ratio is guaranteed!|I recommend it, the staff were very welcoming and very helpful. |Very good address.
S. H. P.
Perfect location! Fabulous hotel!
Thank you for the enormous professionalism of all the staff and above all highlight the fabulous work of Sofía, the waitress who served us at breakfast, who was very careful that everything was perfect, as if we were at home. Thank you!
