I don’t recommend coming here unless you plan on partying all night.
Myself and my partner came for a 1 night staycation on Valentine’s Day. When we arrived we were blown away by the customer service at the front desk and the interiors in the room. When we came back to the room for the night, there was a lot of noise in the hotel from around 9pm onwards. We didn’t mind this at first as it was still quite early in the evening. We were woken up from 3am-7.30am as there was people slamming doors in the hallway, talking very loudly and playing music in the rooms next to us. We were shocked how management could allow this. It sounded like there was 6 people or more in the room next to us drinking and playing music. We came to the dean for a relaxing night away but unfortunately we came home exhausted . We understood when we booked the hotel that there was nightclubs nearby but the issue wasn’t the outside noise it was the noise inside which was insanely loud. I mentioned this at the front desk when we were checking out and they seemed shocked and said they do walks of the hallways during the night but the noise was so loud I didn’t understand how they couldn’t have heard it. They offered to compensate us with brunch in Sophie’s rooftop which we appreciated but we turned down as we wanted to leave.
Overall, lovely interiors and customer service but it is definitely more of a partying hotel than a relaxing quiet one. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

We had a fabulous stay in The Dean. The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was gorgeous, the mini bar /snack area had everything you could want. Perfect location to walk into the bars and restaurants in Dublin City centre. The breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay here for 2 nights and our whole weekend was a relaxing dream from start to finish. The staff in reception, the gym and Sophies rooftop couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. A great few night's sleep and incredible food and a break away for a new mam and dad. What more could we have asked for. Would recommend to all and look forward so much to staying again!!

I have been The Dean's guest for the last 3 years and I never felt away from home there. I will not obsess about their retro-industrial design which can easily be considered a design movement of modern Ireland. It is worth going on exploration venture of other related venues, The Mayson, The Dean Cork, etc, which are equally pleasant. However, The Dean Dublin remains my favourite. On my last stay I could not be more proud and grateful of how The Dean took care of my guests, which reflected greatly on my business. My guests were really touched by how they felt pampered during their whole stay. The Dean surely won a set of loyal customers. I could not recommend it more.

We stayed overnight in The Dean recently. It has a chilled out buzz. All the staff are dead sound, room was really cozy and food was delicious. I’d highly recommend, a real treat and something different than the norm.

Very pleasently surprised with this modern hotel. Only stayed one night but would certainly have stayed longer if I knew what I was in for. Rooms are very cool and very comfortable, swimming pool is a real hidden gem!! Highly recommended...

I had a fabulous one night stay here recently. From stylish interiors to friendly helpful staff. I can't fault anything. And the breakfast was exceptional with stunning views of Dublin.

Had a fantastic stay in the Dean, such a quirky spot with a nice chill atmosphere. Majority of the staff were amazing particularly Marcus on reception who looked after us very well. We had been put to the “quieter” side of the building where there was no noise, lovely air con and a great sleep was had.
There was some dust in the room and lightbulb not working but hey nobody’s perfect, will certainly be back again.

I was at a function here recently and it's a very nice place. We decided to have a drink in the bar before we joined our friends upstairs, the barman that was on (lobby bar) didn't seem to want to be there, he certainly could do with more people skills or maybe he was just having a bad day but a smile wouldn't have hurt him. Anyway we had a great night and the rest of the staff were very polite and professional.

From the second we walked in the door it was just brilliant. My partner and I were doing a staycation for a couple of nights for our anniversary. Second night staying at the dean. We arrived very early as we checked out from our previous hotel at 12. When greeted by reception we asked would it be ok if they would hang on to our bags until check in while we were heading out, and he responded that we had been upgraded and our room was available right away. We were very happy then as no need to worry about the bags. He did mention that our room could get very noisy and to call down if we had any concerns. They also gave us some water too before heading up which was a nice touch.. The room was brilliant, very big great bed, record player, tv with Netflix , fully stocked mini bar and clean. We had a couple of drinks at the bar upstairs before heading off and the staff were great. Later coming back we had dinner at Sophie’s at night. Again great staff, fast service and couldn’t fault them. I have to say the staff make this hotel. They work very hard and are very friendly and made this experience great. Can’t wait to come back again. Only thing is if you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at the weekend, as it does get loud but they do provide earplugs. But it honestly didn’t bother us at all. 5 STARS.

Just spent a night at the Dean and I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. The location, facilities and food (in Sophie's) were all exceptional but the hotel's greatest asset has to be its exceptional staff. Every single person we interacted with was genuinely friendly and professional and, on the whole, the staff really made our stay!
I. E.
The service was amazing all the staff was lovely and very pleasant to talk to. The room we stayed in was always top quality and very thoroughly cleaned. Could not ask for any better. The restaurant Sophie was delicious I’d highly recommend going for breakfast and dinner. The only con was there isn’t a smoking area for residents to go to except outside.

I was recently here for a wedding, the food was delicious, the rooms were uniquely designed, and the staff were lovely. We hope to be back soon
D. t.
All around amazing experience. Staff were brilliant, really really nice. The hotel wasnt too busy the day we were there so they upgraded our room and let us check in early for no extra charge. We had food in Sophies rooftop which was 10/10. Als made good use of the pool and gym which was great. Definitely coming back soon

Just walking into the foyer of the Dean Hotel makes you smile with its warm and comfortable surroundings welcoming you.
Sophies bar has a panoramic view of the city.
The staff were not only friendly but extremely efficient with their service.
As for the delicious food, clean plates from 12 friends says it all.
I have to mention the absolutely amazing desserts as my favourite, alongside the wide variety of cocktails.
The restaurant was spotless and for our time there Covid was a distant memory 😁

An achingly cool, high standard hotel, with lovely staff in a great part of Dublin.
You'll walk into an exceptionally Instagrammable lobby to be greeted by the friendliest staff who are delighted to tell you everything Dublin has to offer.
The rooms are huge, beds great, the mini fridge is a Smeg, free Nespresso, proper big telly, and the panoramic windows are well sound proofed (though we didn't have to contend with the nearby club during Covid).
The shower might just be the best I've encountered.
The hotel gym is excellent, and my wife loved the pool/sauna.
Breakfast is in the rooftop Sophie's restaurant, with some cracking views. Never had dinner in it (if you want to book well in advance), but judging by the quality of the breakfast offering I'm sure it's great.
The local area is nice, with tons of cool beers/restaurants. The shopping area is an easy 5-10 mins walk, with Temple Bar a 15 min walk.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
T.
Very cool stay. Great vibes in entryway and rooftop. Well situated Intown. Rooms were lovely. Maybe avoid some rooms on the 4th floor to not risk some noise from the roof.
I. C.
Had a really good experience here, especially the gym and pool. The place was spotless and the gym was really well equipped, especially the free weights section. Paddy was really helpful and informative and I would definitely come back again.

Lovely hotel. The room was fab. Staff very friendly. Had one issue. Rang reception and within t minutes it was sorted . Will definitely stay again

Brilliant place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, the décor is interesting and fun and everything feels like it's well thought out. Great quality throughout.

I spent two nights at the Dean and it was fabulous. The room was small but so comfortable and well designed that it just felt cosy. Food was lovely and the interiors are really nice, but what really made the stay special was the staff. From the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff to the ladies who cleaned my room, everyone was unfailingly friendly - they all went above and beyond.
E. L.
Excellent gym, big rooms with a comfy bed - excellent location in the city center

2020 is the year of the staycation, but it still feels a little strange to go to a hotel in your own city. However, the Dean staff make you feel at ease and as if you're on a holiday no matter where you're from. From the moment we arrived Tom at check-in was very friendly and professional, and made everything very easy even though I was using a few different vouchers as part of payment.
We stayed for just one night and had a 3 course meal in Sophie's as well as breakfast the following morning. Despite being busy, dinner didn't feel rushed, and the food was really good. We had some cocktails in the bar downstairs and then ordered more up to the room.
The following morning we ordered breakfast to the room, but the restaurant was very busy so they asked us to push it back to later. This meant we had to change it to late checkout, and again Tom facilitated this no problem. I would recommend the Dean to anyone staying in Dublin briefly or for anyone Dublin locals doing something different. They have a deal at the moment of €300 for 2 people for one night, which includes 3 course meal, 4 drinks, and breakfast the following morning.
W.
Really nice hotel with cool decor. Record players in the rooms are a nice touch with random records in each room.
All of the staff were great and really nice.
Yes it is noisy as you are right next to coppers which goes on until 4.
If you are there for a night out this shouldn't really be an issue. If not and you want a good night's sleep I would still go here just ask for an odd numbered room as they are on opposite side.
There is a really nice rooftop bar and amazing restaurant called Sophie's. It's great for dinner and breakfast.
The only downside is the noise but the hotel is priced accordingly for this and is really cheap for Dublin and the quality you get.
A. D.
The Dean is a really hip and cool hotel and seems quite popular with folks for drinks and food (Sophie’s has a beautiful view and good cocktails).
Staff are super friendly and helpful and always wore masks and were very thoughtful about helping with luggage.
The rooms however are really small. The showers in the room are great though and the beds really comfortable.
Location is really handy for some of the great things about Dublin including parks, shopping and history.
Like most folks have said noise is the big issue. The room I had was of a hallway that had a fire door that just kept banging with everyone that entered at any time of the day or night. And in general the noise level is pretty much constant from folks coming back late at night (even during COVID). I can’t imagine how noisy it gets when the bars are open.
No parking at all and no valet either - you can park in the QPark in the Stephens Green (drop off your bags at the hotel before you park as it’s crazy to try to get suitcases down the elevator in the QPark during COVID it literally fits 1 person)
A. R.
We loved the Dean Hotel! It was small but quaint and rooms are definitely on the smaller side. We had two big suitcases and nowhere to really put them but it was okay for one night. It was loud you could hear the music from the bar and people talking well in to the late hours of the night but we didn’t mind. Amazing restaurant on the rooftop. Front desk staff was very nice and got
Us in a room quick after being exhausted from our flight! The lobby smelled amazing and felt warm and cozy. Dean hotel- What do you use in the lobby to make it smell so incredible ?!
G. F.
Spent 3 nights over a weekend here, amazing facilities. Great location just outside the main parts of town but well within walking. The rooms were fantastic and the attention to detail was great! Staff was amazing and even being located next to a late night club [my room particularly close] the ear plugs provided were a great comfort. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Dublin.
E. W.
Very nice venue for a private party. Excellent service!
m. M.
Tasteful decor and great service.
The rooftop and bar are beautiful and offer a nice view of the sky.
Yes you can ear the nightclub nearby from your room but the complimentary earplugs on your nightstand are doing the trick.
Overall a great stay
G. M.
Absolutely love the Dean Hotel. One of my favourite places to stay in Dublin.
D.
Had a great trip over the weekend. Staff were fantastic. Food was lovely, and the hotel was fantastic. Can't wait to go back
L. H.
I stay in the Dean a lot with work and it’s always a fantastic stay. I stayed last week with a colleague and Dave the GM looked after us very well! We had a fantastic cocktail (Shoutout to the bar tender for a fantastic margarita) and then ate at Sophie’s on the 5th floor where both food and service were exceptional! The same goes for breakfast and the room as always was very comfortable and clean. Looking forward to recommending this hotel to other colleagues and to staying there again in the very near future.
d. c.
My favourite hotel in Dublin, always a great stay. Although there is a little bit of noise from the club's on the lower floors they do provide ear plugs but I've never needed them. Staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly. Not to mention the amazing roof top bar, which has a nice chilled vibe and great cocktails! I'll be back again very soon!
f. d.
stayed here over st patrick’s weekend as t was the cheapest available at short notice!
had a lovely time. it’s such a beautiful hotel. very nice interior, smelled amazing and staff were all very nice, helpful and available at all times.
unfortunately there was work going on outside the hotel, so the view from our room was obstructed with cranes.
snug room was very small but manageable for two people on a short 4 day trip. interior was lovely, very clean. there wasn’t a lot of surface space to put things on, in the room and also in the bathroom. more shelving would be appropriate.
overall it was lovely. would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel to stay in if your looking for a modern/urban feel. The staff are very helpful, from the front desk to the bar staff upstairs.
As the Dean is above a nightclub you are expected to hear the noise but this is told to you in advance, I would ask how near your room is to the left side of the building in advance.
I would recommend the Dean to anyone young and looking for a great night in Dublin, it is right on the main street with all the big popular clubs.
J. S.
I have never checked into a hotel where they tell you there are complementary earplugs in the room! Noisiest hotel ever! The bar below really ruins what is a nice hotel.
Room was modern and clean but spoiled by some heavily stained armchairs 🤮
Rooftop restaurant was great for breakfast.
I feel that the hotel needs to warn about noise on website when booking.
A. B.
Awesome location near Pubs/Clubs/Restaurants. Had a lot of fun with the record player in the room. Cheeky and fun decor. It is loud due to a night club next door but we barely heard any noise from the bar/restaurant upstairs. The volume is well advised in their website and they provide foam earplugs. We had a romantic stay to end our honeymoon.
A. M.
Stayed here with our two young kids. Originally I was worried about the noise from the nightclub, but it didn't cause any problems, it just turned into white noise and the kids slept great. The hotel also provided ear plugs which was a nice added bonus. We stayed in the James Suite, great attention to detail. My kids loved the record players in the rooms, I loved having a proper sized fridge.
My only criticism is the mattresses. The pull out couch mattress is little more than a lumpy cushion with springs poking at you. King size bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together. Get some good quality mattresses, and maybe add some actual white noise machines in the rooms to help drown out the club scene noise a bit more.
I. R.
Really nice place to grab a bite to eat or have a meeting. Rooms are great. Funky and a little different. Sophie's is great.. always busy but they seem to get us a seat even so.. Staff are really friendly and fun. Scallops were yummy..
A. C.
Beautiful, unique, boutique hotel with quirky fittings and features. Sophie's upstairs is stunning. Great staff, lovely setting and ideal location next to the Luas.
The air con/heating in the rooms, charging cables, Marshall speaker and well-stocked minibar with Irish treats deserve mention - great extra touches. I tried to order room service at 11.30PM but couldn't as their night porter wasn't on that night, which was disappointing as I was told before going up to the room that I could order. Either way, good selection of restaurants in the area to order Deliveroo from - the receptionist dropped it up to my room without me asking, which was really lovely.
Definitely recommend if you're visiting Dublin and looking for a unique, modern Irish experience.

Amazing hotel right in the city center of Dublin. Best choice if you would like to go clubbing in the weekend, or sip fancy martini's at their rooftop bar.
We had the SuperRoom, which is vary spacious and has everything you need, even a vinyl player. If you are sensitive to noise during the night, this hotel is probably not your best choice, as there is a club next door, they have dj's in their bars and potentially also some noisy customers who had a drink too much in the hallway. Once we went to bed, I used the complementary earplugs and slept just fine, but I could understand that for some people the noise is bothersome.
Hotel staff was super friendly. You can ask for complementary water bottles whenever you want at the reception, they store your luggage and you can even get a nice tote bag from the hotel if you want.
D. C.
What can I say, I've stayed here multiple times and would definitely stay again. More than just a clean and comfortable space to rest up. This place has so many fine touches it's difficult to list. Beautifully finished urban chic interior set in one of Dublin's historic Georgian houses.
N. P.
The Dylan suite was very comfortable. A ton of space which was great. Kid friendly: they provided a portable crib. There was some noise from nearby nightclubs. There was also some noise from neighboring rooms. Nothing too bad though.

So we chose to have our wedding party at The Dean.
After deciding on Dublin, we looked at loads of other venues; mainly as I wanted something a little different to your standard ‘hotel style’ wedding. Looking at The Dean, it’s not really your standard hotel but it still took a lot of convincing for me to be satisfied with our choice, but man, we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better. It does not feel like a standard hotel, definitely has an alternative vibe.
I am writing this review mainly to help others, maybe like me, who are looking for something a little different. I whole heartily recommend.
We were arranging the party from the UK and Fiona was really helpful and flexible around our needs, making suggestions when we needed.
We had our meal and party in The Blue Room. The venue was perfect. The food was amazing. The service top class. The music provided by Sam was exactly what we wanted.
We had a tasting in advance and were made to feel so welcome by the staff In Sofia’s, in particular the lovely Spanish waitress, I’m sorry, i can’t recall your name.
The chef came to discuss the menu and made everything so easy.
I met Andy the DJ as I was concerned about the music, he was great and put my mind completely at ease. Sam played in the night and as I said it was just what we wanted. He played tight yo the bitter end!! :)
The guys on the evening catered to our every need. We had the meal and party in The blue room and moved to the terrace at Sophie’s for the turnaround. All worked very smoothly, with the added advantage of spending time on the terrace with the fresh air and amazing views.
The reception and lobby staff were great also in the days running up and just after.
I can’t recommend The Dean enough for a wedding/party/any other event. We will definitely be back.
We didn’t stay here for our wedding but will definitely be back to try as we did experience the room as a friend stayed and they look fantastic, plenty of space with everything as described online. Can’t comment on the ear plugs!
C. O.
I can't even begin to say how amazing the staff at this hotel is. Connor, the bartender, was so incredibly friendly and spent hours with us during our worst period of jetlag. The front desk gave us solid recommendations for food and even gave us a little local info. While we were so tired we didn't get to do everything, the hospitality was amazing. The rooms are small but honestly, it didn't matter. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and the restaurant upstairs was delicious.
L. K. H.
Amazing hotel, great ambiance and superb location. Noise from the club next door, but not really a problem. Cool rooms with lots of chic details! A fun place to spend the night! And yeah, the hangover breakfast does the trick! I'll be back :)

Had a great stay of 5 nights! Lovely room, great hotelbar and The rooftop bar Sophie’s is some next level stuff! Well worth spending The extra cash on a great experience!
Special mention to Tom from reception; looking after us and making sure we were entertained The whole way through! Also; catch him playing piano at The Bank on Sundays!
C. D.
A very cool hotel. The staff are brilliant and the decor is incredible. We stayed in the 'Punk Bunk' which was comfortable and had some lovely features - the waterfall shower and speaker system was great. My reason for a 4 instead of 5 rating was that the room wasn't particularly clean. Dust everywhere and hand prints on the doors etc.

NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP BEFORE 3:30AM.
We checked in on a Sunday. Hotel staff were very friendly, rooms look exactly the same in pictures. The service and visual aesthetics was great. I do recommend the rooftop restaurant and bar. Great place to visit for a drink or 2.
However, there is a crazy brazilian night club located next to the hotel. Hotel staff made sure that guests were informed about the noise and gave us earplugs. But, not even earplugs + noise cancelling headphones would keep the noise out. We could hear and feel every beat of music played from the club. The club goes on 7 days a week till 3.30 in the morning. We would not have mind the noise if we were planning to stay out late. But unfortunately, we had a work meeting in the morning on the next day - Monday. Worse night sleep in a hotel that we've ever had.
If you plan to stay out all night - then this is a hotel for you.
If you want to sleep, - book somewhere else.
C.
Lovely rooms, very nice aesthetically. Staff friendly. We stayed during the week so was quiet in the neighborhood. Be warned there is a club next door with loud reputation. We had a large room with great windows and space. Location is easy walk.
S. T.
Stayed here for a quick night on a business trip. The hotel is nicely done, I like how the rooms have been built-out. They are very small, but done in such a way that you do not feel claustrophobic. Bathrooms are nice.
Keep in mind that you are in a noisy neighbourhood. When I was there, there was noise through the window from the ventilation behind + venues, inside the hotel from the other guests and noise from the discotheques around (you could feel the rythm in your chest). They warn you, though.
If you want a nice, friendly hotel in the middle of the party district, then the dean is your choice. Breakfast & food is quite expensive.
N. B.
Very nice hotel. The rooms are modern and beds are comfy. You can hear quite some noise from outside though but for that they provide earplugs in the room. Joseph is the kindest and most patient receptionist, thank you for all your help! We had a great stay!
P. C.
Being upgraded to a bigger room was a great start to our stay! Decor is very quirky but nice. Vinyl player, retro mini fridge and a lovely selection of goodies were a great touch too. City View from our room. Great stay overall.
K. L.
Hotel is lovely, rooms are good and the shower is powerful and breakfast at Sophie's was delicious. However it is in the nightclub area which I completely missed when booking it. They do tell you when you check in and provide ear plugs but the club is open and noisy until 5am. So be warned!
J. D.
I loved the atmosphere and all the details in the room, the artwork, the interior and the swings at the top bar elevator! Very nice and helpful staff. If you have troubles sleeping in a noisy environment this is NOT a hotel for you since there are two (three) night clubs in the basement which are open until 5 am in the morning and you will definitely hear the party sound from these. You receive free ear plugs in the room though. :-P
C. P.
Very hip and cool hotel in the heart of Dublin. We've stayed here twice and loved it. Rooms are very stylish and clean. Added bonus points for having a turntable in each room with a choice of vinyl records. Rooftop restaurant Sophie's offers a great view of Dublin.
E. H.
Great hotel with nice staff. Rooms are clean, have Marshall speakers, Netflix, nice bathrooms and airconditioning. There is a bar / club next to the hotel so there is a little noise till 3.30 AM. There are earplugs in the room. We only used the restaurant for breakfast on our last day. Great view.
I. F.
Absolutely fantastic place. The hospitality is second to none. In a busy part of town a short step away from Stephen's Green. I highly recommend going to see Tom, Rachel, and the team who can tell you absolutely everything that's worth doing in Dublin! Very accommodating, comfortable beds, a record player in your bedroom, and great food and drink either downstairs in the lobby or up top at Sofies! I simply can't say enough great things about this place. It's the perfect spot for hen parties, bachelor parties, or if you're travelling with friends. We'll definitely be back.
t.
Me and some work colleagues came here for our after work party after holding a swing vote in the office and let's just say we were not disappointed.
The beers and wines in here are of such quality that I had to have one of each in each hand at all times and felt myself unable to put them down, even to take a quick selfie. Too good to drink even. So good was the quality that I didn't drink any of the produce but instead walked around holding the bottles in my hands.
Lovely nice polished furniture with sliding seats.
If there was a drawback I'd cite perhaps a lack of supervision or instructions on how to use some of the more specialist furniture.
I've have it on good authority that some people have come into this establishment for a quick drink and left thousands of euros better off and set a new personal best 10k a short few weeks later, such was the positive effect of coming here.
I'd really recommend coming to this hotel.
M. T.
So much effort has gone into the design of this hotel. There are small details everywhere - including a record player and vinyls in the room!
The reception area has a large long table with power points so you can sit and catch up on work if you arrive early or late.
If breakfast is included in your room rate, you are able to choose from an a la carte menu.
I thought this hotel had a great atmosphere and felt fun to be in. Definitely aimed at the young trendy crowd!
A. F.
Great hotel,great location
And staff either at reception or restaurant cannot do enough for you, highly recommend!
L. H.
I was up and down like a yo yo with this hotel. The staff on reception are absolutely fantastic, nothing is too much trouble which is where alot of branded hotels go wrong...where everything is too much trouble. Simply not the case here. I was shocked at check in that we were informed there was eight nightclubs in the vicinity and ear plugs were promptly passes to me, I was kept awake by not long local clubs, but a wedding in the hotel AND a DJ downstairs so in a room with no air con,no ability to open the window (due to the noise) it wasn't the best night sleep I've ever had. Sophie's is nice food, great service but expensive and the view is OK, the roof terrace for drinks outside is quite small so suggest you book. The room we had - punk bunk was perfectly formed but awkward to get around with two people in the room (it houses three) so heaven only knows how that's supposed to work. Great location, near Saint Stephen's green and a five minute walk to Grafton Street. would stay again but not at a weekend, on a higher floor in a bigger room.
C. B.
Pros are very stylish, clean and upscale feel. The rooftop bar is awesome and rooms are impeccable. The rain shower is the only one we found in the last 4 hotels that actually has consistent hot water and water pressure and is very relaxing. Flat screen TV is nice and they even have Netflix and real cable TV (not weird hotel channels). Staff is informative and helpful. Cons are no parking available, they do validate for a garage ( around 18 euro for 24 hrs) but it's a 10 minute walk with luggage. Also there's a popular night club literally right next door and is very loud at night, the music was going and patrons were outside until at least 3am, which we could hear even with the ear plugs provided. Overall would recommend if you are traveling light and you're a heavy sleeper, otherwise just come get a drink at their rooftop bar/restaurant.
C.
Hotel looks cool, bed was very comfy and location was good walking distance to the center. But in close up you can see a lot of wear and tear. Paint coming off, furniture looks used. Stains here and there. Huge amount of dust on the fans. We were given one of the quietest rooms but with earplugs in you could still hear the bars below very well. Overall it was “alright”, but not really more than that.
S. C.
Fantastic food, drink and Service was excellent in Sophies. Rooms were immaculate and bed was extremely comfy! Myself and my girlfriend had the most perfect anniversary! Thanks to everyone from the dean and Sophie's! 👍❤️😍
S. O.
From the moment I walked into The Dean hotel this place has a unique in a good way feeling, plus staff very friendly. Rooms have everything you could possibly need from the best mini fridge and treat options, party in your room wouldn't be an issue. Had meal at Sophie's which I would reccomend.
J. L.
Great hotel, gorgeous room, great location. But holy hell, the single loudest hotel room, possibly on Earth. 12 feet from the window was a massive 1000w speaker blasting music into the club next door until 6am. The ear plugs at check in are a finger in the dam.
K. G.
Possibly the greatest public view of the city. The top of the Dean in Sophie's bar is 270 degrees of Dublin skyline served with good cocktails and decent selection of craft beers along with the usuals. The food is of good quality if slightly on the pricy side for what it is ( I have only ever had egg related brunch items ) but that is a small price for the great interior design and stunning view. Good layout with booths against the glass and a island bar in centre. The coherent design is everywhere with the bathroom being of the same decor and even the bar staff aprons being same pattern as tiling. Great date stop
T. M.
Best Hotel staff anywhere (Thanks Tom), quirky, cool rooms , great restaurant and lobby bar. Would definitely stay again. Great place to take day walks all over Dublin, close to many great pubs, historical sites and restaurants.
S. A.
Super hotel! Stayed in The Dean Hotel for one night in December ‘18 with husband for wedding anniversary. Our room was fabulous (on 4th floor). Every detail about the room was wow. A real treat. And loved Sophie’s on the top floor. We had a couple of drinks there and wished we had dinner... definitely next time.
Ps Dave who took care of was was exceptional. Thank you Dave! You made our stay even better!
M. J.
Loved the hotel and staff. They’re absolutely fantastic people and the overall experience was wonderful. Tom, Joseph, David and Dylan are rockstars. I would recommend sticking to the more popular nightclubs such as Harcourt and Copper Face Jacks.

Excellent location to Grafton steet and st Stevens green so there are lots of shops and places to eat near and its right next to a number of nightclubs. The hotel its self is very kitch, from the lobby to the art work, Marshall speakers in the room to the SMEG fridge and Nespresso machine, the room feels distinctly boutique and a level above some of the 5 star places we have stayed. I'm a very light sleeper and happy to say the bed was excellent however due the the local clubs the base generates a level of noise, even on quieter side on the Monday and Tuesday that we stayed. This is something that's communited at check in and ear plugs are provided which were comfyer than most for sleeping and block out the sound very well so I did get a decent nights sleep.
T. A.
We had a drinks reservation that the company made at the bar in the Dean Hotel. At first sight the place is amazing, however, after getting to the fifth floor we've noticed that the table provided was outside. Now, we are in Dublin , at night, which means that the temperature was about 0° . We asked for a table for 20 inside since we've seen that there's was more than one available and we were told that they would only provide one if all of us ordered the main course. Obviously we left and went to Opium bar that gladly received us and provided an excellent service. So, overall, a very pretty place , maybe we had no luck in that day.
H. K.
I would live here if I could. I love the vibe, the absolute helpful and nice staff, the interior, the view, the vinyl. Yes, it's loud, you're surrounded by nightclubs. But there are quieter rooms and if you're not there for a early night in its just fine. Been there twice and will be back soon!
R. D.
At over $400 a night, it is expensive, loud, and inconvenient. Here are some issues: 1. Elevator does not have a stop at 3 or 4, instead stops at 3.5. You have to take stairs with your bags, and take the key out to get into the corridor to get to the room. 2. There is no body lotion in the room, 3) they nickel and dime for the snacks in the room, and 4) while the breakfast is good, does not start until 8:00 am. So if you have a fight at 12:30 pm or before, you cannot avail it even if you have paid for it. Why 3 stars? It is centrally located. That's about the only positive I can think of.
H. G.
Great place..
Very friendly staff.
For those who wish a relaxing quiet hotel.
It's great.. however not if you an early night person to bed person.. can be a bit noisy with the night life.. however it is in the city centre..so it's supposed to. .
However slept soundly.
Will be back...
B. C.
Beautiful hotel, especially if you get the Vinyl room. Very chilled. Great food but a little expensive. €25 for gnocchi is a bit much.
David in Reception was excellent.
H. L.
What a beautiful & vibrant place to have dinner, Decor is amazing. We could not fault anything. Staff where so attentive, if we needed anything there was always someone near by to offer a helping hand. Had worried it would be very expensive but we where very surprised when the bill arrived, very reasonably priced. Great offerings and we will be back. Thank you to our amazing waitress Sarah, a wee gem you have there guys. Holly
J. B.
Good sized room, mostly comfortable double bed (but was two beds shoved together), good amenities, great bathroom. The scent of the toiletries isn't great, but worse than that, there's a horrible Abercrombie & Fitch type of scent that overwhelms you when you enter the lobby. That's enough to not stay here again.
M. S.
Beautiful Hotel. The hotel is located at the club district, but if you got a higher class room you will not really recognize the clubs in the night. The hotel is also next to temple bar and all other sights in Dublin. We really enjoy our room.
S. M.
Really nice hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed for one night and found that while you can hear Sophie's bar at night, it's only barely. Not enough to disturb sleep, unless you have very delicate hearing. The room had a record player with records to listen to, on a Marshall speaker with Bluetooth capabilities. A massive Samsung TV with a Netflix account for the Dean logged in. There was free bottled water in the room and a nespresso machine. We felt very well taken care of and we are already looking forward to our next visit!
L. K.
The staff is super nice and the design of the whole place is great. Even though there are night clubs downstairs we heard nothing in our room. The cleanliness is good but could be a bit better. Great location.
A. K.
Simply amazing! First time in Dublin and I’ve never felt more welcome before in my life. Bless everyone that works there. I will highly recommend this place to anyone I know that will be traveling to Dublin in the near future. Thank you for making my stay even more special. Thank you
C. G.
The hotel staff were phenomenal (especially the night staff at the main desk) and the suite was beautiful. I was thankful for the complimentary earplugs on the Saturday night though because y'all sure know how to party in Dublin.
M. T.
I spent one evening in the lobby with the bar. lovely and kind service, good drinks, stylish ambience and I loved the music in the background, loud enough to be heard but not interrupting with conversation. we did not need to shout to each other.
R. M.
Excellent hotel all around. We stayed in 3rd floor hifi room. Spacious, record player and vinyl, big windows, fairly quiet. Ate dinner and breakfast and 5th floor restaurant. Both were great. Location is perfect for walking Grafton.
A. L.
Beautifully restored with sensitive touch of modern architectural fittings, ground floor is in neon-illuminated sittee with intimate atmosphere, function room is long and with separate bar. However, the place falls short of providing adequate snacks and foodstuff even when ordered in advance; the biggest feeling I remember from a party there was hunger and everyone had to go out to some shop for a bite.
E. C.
I actually loved the style and rooms of the hotel, the bar at the roof top. There's only one big but for me it's surrounded by lots of bars so the noice is a lot. You even have ear plugs on the room cause it's really a lot. Beside that it's a nice place.
D. P.
Don’t come here it you actually want to sleep. The smallest room doesn’t even have space to put your suitcase and it feels like you’re sleeping on a sofa in guest house. I was upgraded to the penthouse on the 2nd and 3rd night which was amaaaazing! I’d gladly pay for it next time. The food is excellent also, and the staff are incredible.
P. D.
Room is confortable and very well equipped. WiFi is good and allowed me to attend video conferences :)
The bar at ground floor is really nice but unfortunately super noisy: I was participating some conversation from my 3rd floor room :/
There are earwax in the room however...
P. C.
Very clean room, relaxed and professional staff....our favourite hotel in Dublin
D. K.
The rooms are funky and the staff are excellent. I always enjoy staying here. The restaurant serves good food for dinner and breakfast and offers a great view of the city. Due to the hotels location it can be noisy late at night in the rooms but I wouldn't knock the hotel for this
C. R.
We've stayed here twice now and will definitely be coming back. Can't fault the Dean on anything, and they have such lovely staff, especially Dave at reception.
J. B.
Really cool spot and very stylish and contemporary rooms. I’d suggest having a few drinks before sleep or wearing the earplugs provided as Coppers next door goes on till 5am and can be a bit noisy!
J. K.
Reallu enjoyed our stay here last night. Easy check in really friendly staff. Cool atmosphere for evening drinks and super tasty breakfast at Sophies.
S. M.
Excellent hotel, decor is kind of hipster but really cool. There are record players and records in the rooms, and all the TV's seem to have Netflix too.
We got upgraded to a suite which was amazing.
D. C.
A place famously for its view. It must be the ugliest view of Dublin you can get. Its interesting tho, how ugly it is. It reminds me of Dublin in The 70s/80s. It's very expensive for food and drink that doesn't warrant that kind of money. But if you want to get a feeling for what Dublin. Was like in the 80s go there. Not much else to say
T. C.
A great hotel with a trendy bar, great Italian restaurant (Sophie's) and even trendier rooms. Special mentions to the Nespresso coffee makers in the rooms, Smeg fridges, massive TV and vintage record players. Only thing stopping a 5 starreview here is that the hotel boarders a busy nightclub which means the volume stays on until 3am.
P. P.
This is by far the coolest hotel I have ever been to. If it was an apartment, I would live in it. It's like someone reached into my brain and pulled out an ideally decorated hotel.
The only issue is that it is surrounded by loud clubs, and the noise can go late into the night. But it's worth it.
R. C.
Loved my room was quirky and had a few nice touches. The club beside it can be loud but it didnt ruin my sleep. Maybe a light sleeper wouldnt enjoy that.
S. B.
Friendly stuff, great location. Rooms renovated in an inspiring way. There is a roof bar that looks very busy. Worth checking
N. W.
WOW!!!! Honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Staff were so helpful especially those at reception (I think her name was ali or alison and clarabelle) It was a very personal experience. Bryan was also great (general manager) he is from the countryside and really knows his way around Dublin, he took the time to show us nice bars and restaurants to visit during our stay. Cant praise this place enough. Ashling who manages reception is also great, found her to be very friendly and engaging. Go ash
S. R.
My friend and I are staying here we just arrived yesterday and the place is amazing! In just one night we had so much fun, from the DJ upstairs on the rooftop bar to the friendly & fun security guys downstairs I highly recommend checking this place out! Goodtimes!
E. C.
The cocktail bar is impressive to look at. And the cocktails are first class too! A great start to a good night out.
C. G.
The hotel staff were phenomenal (especially the night staff at the main desk) and the suite was beautiful. I was thankful for the complimentary earplugs on the Saturday night though because y'all sure know how to party in Dublin.
G. G.
1st Timer.Very nice spot for food and drink. Lovely staff, nice steak, did not have to ask for another drink. I was told they don't have Jack Daniels
M. R.
Good room with a central location in the nightclub area. A shoet walk to temple bar area. Good rooftop bar as well!
B. K.
Excellent meal and are ice
R. M.
Excellent hotel all around. We stayed in 3rd floor hifi room. Spacious, record player and vinyl, big windows, fairly quiet. Ate dinner and breakfast and 5th floor restaurant. Both were great. Location is perfect for walking Grafton.
D. R.
Really cool hotel in the heart of Dublin. Highly recommended for some urban style funky decor. I stayed in one of the suites as a treat.
D. F.
Had a wonderful stay, fabulous view with the breakfast
S. O.
From the moment I walked into The Dean hotel this place has a unique in a good way feeling, plus staff very friendly. Rooms have everything you could possibly need from the best mini fridge and treat options, party in your room wouldn't be an issue. Had meal at Sophie's which I would reccomend.
J. M.
Superb location, service, accommodation and ambience. There is nothing that comes close to this hotel. Staff were friendly and good humoured but efficient. Prices were very reasonable and an all-round grate experience.
S. E.
Staff were great. Lovely hotel.
H. R.
Love it...the rooms are great.
J. K.
This hotel is conveniently located and has a fun vibe. The bar is fun, the rooftop restaurant is fantastic, and the rooms are stylish.
Conveniently located to shopping and bars this hotel is highly recommend.
M.
Okay.. first. This is a noise Hotel. Because there is life going on! So if you can accept that. Welcome to one of the nicest Hotels in Dublin with very great and helpful People.
M. E.
Loved the room here, small but quirky. It was pretty noisy at night due to the room top bar, but if you're not looking to get up too early the next day it's fine.
S. A.
SUCH a cool place! The decor was so fun, it’s in a very lively location, so it can get a tad bit rowdy on Saturday nights, but that adds to the ambience.
G. G.
1st Timer.Very nice spot for food and drink. Lovely staff, nice steak, did not have to ask for another drink. I was told they don't have Jack Daniels
I. C.
Boutique-style. In the disco area. Great staff and atmosphere. Good food and bars. Barman said to knock off at 6am.
F. L.
17km from Dublin Airport.
The urban-chic rooms offer free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, minibars, and tea and coffeemaking facilities; some have bunk beds, record players and/or Nespresso machines. Suites add separate living areas, kitchens, fireplaces and/or foosball. Room service is available.
Loaner bikes are provided. Breakfast is available for a surcharge. Other amenities include a lobby cafe, and hip rooftop restaurant with a terrace and a bar.
A. B.
Amazing room immaculate and everything you could dream of. Food in Sophies was out of this world and staff so nice and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.
M. E.
Stayed here on a visit to the RDS, room was very nice, massive shower & cosy bead. The view from the restaurant on the top floor was fantastic, food was good, would definitely stay again.
M. H.
Fantastic Hotel, loved the funky room, a great space to be in. Would absolutely recommend..only 1 issue, the expense of the room and breakfast was not included, seems a bit steep.
T. O.
Very cool and slightly swanky venue. Good clientele, mostly dressing to impress but without being too over the top. Decent enough drinks.
A. X.
Excellent. Press up hotel and bar. Great service and decor. Trendy and never disappoints
D. B.
Had a great experience here last Sunday lunchtime when I went to see Rasher's exhibition and met the man himself, whose work is genius to my mind, and his lovely wife Gillian who helped to organise the event. The craic in the downstairs lounge was fun and the excellent staff member Arron Hickey who went out of his way to ensure my friend and I were served quickly as we had time constraints. Thanks Arron. Also a shout out to Aidan from the bar (hope I remembered his name correctly). The Dean Hotel is lucky to have two such professional, smart thinking gents workind there. Thank you.
J. D.
Trendy boutique hotel - lobby is a cool hangout with bar and good food for lunch. Even better wraparound restaurant on the top floor with olives trees and great views .
K. M.
Lovely hotel, amazing interior. The moment we walked in untill the moment we left, we felt completely at ease. Kudos to the very friendly staff.
J. C.
Really nice place, fantastic views on a clear day and food is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful as my cousin just had a big party in the Blur Room recently.
c. f.
Tell the Chef he is a top man. Great fooding dishes.
E. S.
Wonderful, staff so welcoming. Heard it was nice but didn't realise it would be that nice. Definitely going back
c. n.
It's a very cool hotel definitely not for older crew over 40s or so, it's very funky hotel, room we had was very masculine and dark
C. K.
Really cool place and lovely rooms, but the noise coming from Harcourt Street is palpable and might be difficult to sleep through if you're a light sleeper.
R. M.
Brilliant hotel. Cool lobby, helpful chatty staff, good coffee and Sophie's for breakfast/ dinner/ drinks was beautiful.
R. Q.
There is a night club next to the hotel or even in the hotel not sure. If you want to stay for a good party! Great place
If you need to work the next day look for a more quite place...
Other than that, beautiful hotel!
E. C.
The cocktail bar is impressive to look at. And the cocktails are first class too! A great start to a good night out.
D. R.
Really cool hotel in the heart of Dublin. Highly recommended for some urban style funky decor. I stayed in one of the suites as a treat.
A. S.
Great location, quirky room but gets very noisy at the night due to the pubs that surrounds it..very hard to sleep at the night because of it
v.
Nice ambiente, big rooms, perfect location.
The snack selection and minibar is the best i‘ve ever seen in a hotel with this size
A.
The Hotel Bar staff were very friendly , efficient and generous. Relaxing bar in the ground floor and nice 1930s throwback decor.
S. M.
Staff are great but please stop putting your fingers on the ice when scooping it into a glass for a customer's drink, standard bar pract
M. R.
Good room with a central location in the nightclub area. A shoet walk to temple bar area. Good rooftop bar as well!
N. O. C.
We had a great party for over 100 people and the space was perfect for that number of people. They supplied ok food and staff were nice.
R. R.
Amazing customer service, all of our questions were answered before we even asked them and most importantly the room was lovely!
C. S.
Pretty cool, trendy hotel with friendly staff. But they aren't joking about the noise level of the night club district, which is the only draw back.
D. W.
Great hotel, rooms clean, staff friendly, but if you’re having a few drinks avoid the swings there are no instructions in sight, how can anyone be responsible for themselves without instructions, I fell off and hurted my pinkie finger.
B. S.
Fabulous art. Lovely ambiance, but candles at 9am seemed slightly odd. Would love to visit on a social occasion rather than work.
M. C.
Great food in Sophie's, cool rooms as well.
A refuge from the outside world.

A. M. H.
AMAZING in all regards.
J. H.
Really nice place, great staff, and Sophie's restaurant on the top floor is great (awesome coffee, along with everything else).
V.
Wonderfull sightseeing on the rooftop and highly recommended Benedict eggs. Will come back every time for brunch!
M. B.
This place is awesome - only downside is the location above busy night club. Make sure you ask for the room not facing the dancefloor!
J. V.
This place is AWSOME! The decor is really nice. And the staff is super cool. You have to stay here.
A. M.
Amazing cocktails, beautifully presented and unusual blends. Good and strong 🤣

r. m.
Staff were super friendly but not pushy. Nice atmosphere and lovely interior
J. A.
The hotel is very nice, but be aware of the nightclubs on ground level.
G. S.
A place with great potential, but somehow lost in identity. A restaurant? A pub? A bar? Tries to be all, excels at none.
Y. G.
Love their rooms, Sofie's are the best- cool place to hung out!
Z. M.
Loved this hotel! Great place, service and atmosphere.
