The dining in the evening is ok, I had the Jacobs ladder which seemed to be the best dish, my partner had the roast which wasn't great. The staff are very good and there is a good atmosphere through the hotel
T. M.The best hotel we have been to in years! The staff was so friendly! Les was a gem, helping my sister with a toothache, helping us connect with a friend from the golf course and just knowing how to be friendly! We had breakfast 3 days ijn a row, with a variety of choices and Les always made sure we connected. Today I had french toast and it was made perfectly. This afternoon we sat outside in the sun and enjoyed tea and a slice of apple pie. The chef who made that made my mother proud! Tonight we enjoyed dinner with Arancini balls, Crab cake, stripsteak, curry chicken, duck and more! All four of us enjoyed clearing our plates! Dara provided a lovely old fashioned form the bar and was quick to point out where we were when separated. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds were wonderful! Highly recommended! Will stay again!
D. C.Room lovely and staff where also nice, apart from the night porter that man handled me. He was very aggressive and very rude. I had to call for the manager . I was staying in the hotel and waiting in the lounge for my friends to come back with the key for the room when he approached me . I won't be staying again. Not very professional. He should be fired.

C.Great location, attentive staff, delicious breakfast (one of the best Irish Breakfast I ever had) with plenty of options to order, highly recommended. We stayed in an Executive Room, it was great, super-sized (probably the biggest room we had stayed), very comfy bed, jacuzzi BUT no mini-fridge, a patio view quite claustrophobic (the window was very close to the wall) and a peculiar location: to access the room on the ground floor you have to go up to 1º floor, cross half of the hotel and get down by stairs (rooms 148-150). Despite that, we are looking forward to coming back but we will be asking for a room more accessible with some "fresh air" next time 👌

Noreen from the bar was amazing throughout and we got engaged here and she gave us complimentary Prosecco which I thought was a nice touch, we stayed 4 nights and had an excellent sleep each night. The hotel is spotless we felt very safe during our three day stay. Breakfast was really good and there is a great menu to select from with all food served directly to your table. Dinner was also very good but for me it was the staff who made our stay so great and we look forward to visiting again very soon.

All the staff are lovely we always have a great time when we go there . please God when the situation gets better we will be back.

J. B.Surprisingly large, with a lot of hallways, clearly added on over the many years. Furnishings are nice, but a map would be useful. Restaurant was good, staff were excellent. I still cant resist saying it, The hotel looks like the one from the shining, but the service and rooms were excellent.

Close to Ross castle and Killarney National park Can take a horse drawn carriage ride to the castle. Food and shopping right outside the hotel. Parking on the street. There is a parking garage nearby but it us expensive with an hourly rate. Parking on the street is free from 4pm to 10 am.
M. E.Next time I go back to Ireland, I will absolutely be staying here again! Great staff. The rooms and amenities are very well done. And located in a very convenient part of Killarney.
p. b.There was a giant spider in my bathroom. They obviously don't bother dusting the cobwebs out if the corners. The kettle was weird and had an exposed heating coil. Also the rooms use real keys which sounds cute but the key fob is larger than my cellphone.
The access to the sports center was nice and the beds are pretty comfortable.
D. T.It was fine a decent 3-4 star hotel with decent size rooms and a decent mattress, bit firm for me taste but not too bad. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is it was overpriced, I could have been staying in a premier inn for all the difference it would have made and at 135 a night in November is way overpriced, but then again that's killarney hotels in general, decent but nowhere near worth the money

S. S.I stayed in exec suite. Room was very high quality. Hotel staff were pleasent and food was good in the hotel bar and restaurant. Walking distance to train station was ideal. What made the difference was I actually ordered two whole breakfast plates to room service because I'm an idiot and just wanted two eggs. They only charged me 6$. That was super nice!! Would stay again

W.My fiancé and I had a horrible experience with an AirBnB- we were right above a pub and the noise was unbearable- I went into the international at 10:30pm to see if they had anything available for the night and she was able to get us in!! It’s within walking distance to almost everything and has busses close by for a lot of touristy things.

Quaint bar had reasonably priced drinks, stays open ‘til late which is a very nice plus.

M. W.I simply cannot give enough stars for this location. I am shocked they have only 3-1/2! The staff is courteous and friendly, the price is good, the location is even better! Upstairs from what seemed like endless bars, pubs, restaurants and night clubs we had no trouble whatsoever finding active nightlife here during our stay! We especially loved the nightclub downstairs that played live rock music every night.
As for the room, it was medium sized, bed was comfortable and plenty of European plugs available. One minor thing is that I thought a hotel named "International" might have some plug converters from around the world *ahem* American *ahem* but that was no biggy we had a converter anyway. No points docked there, just a note.
The room was clean and well stocked, and I loved the biscuits with the coffee tray :) Breakfast downstairs is wonderful, too. All you can eat for 9 Euro which included some incredible spinach eggs Benedict (Had mine without the bacon).

Killarney is a beautiful, welcoming town in arguably one of the most idyllic locations in Ireland and The International Hotel is located right in the centre of it all with easy access to all of the routes to the local "must sees" - Muckross Abbey, Muckross House, The Torc Waterfall, The Ring of Kerry, The Gap of Dunloe and Kate Kearneys Cottage, The Black Valley and a base for longer excursions to the Dingle Peninsula, Bantry Bay, The Blasket Islands or the Iveragh Peninsula and the Skelligs or north to The Cliffs of Moher. This is a party town, make no mistake, but it has no impact whatsoever on those of us who are looking for hiking, history and peace. Even the revellers - of which there are many - are no trouble. The Hotel is fantastic - the décor, the games room, the quiet alcoves, the breakfast room are all top class. The sauna (66 degree max is ample - 4 max occupancy) & leisure centre are perfectly adequate for a property that does not base it's appeal on this aspect of the offering. The rooms are simply excellent and the WiFi is 5*. I have been before and I will be back again.

A. N.We were not at the hotel but we were having dinner there. We only have good things to say, the food was excellent, we ordered some pork fillets in sauce and a kind of crepe with seafood and fish inside that was delicious. The treatment was unbeatable, we had a waiter (Les) who treated us very well, and not only that but we also had a problem with our accommodation and he was concerned about helping us. A site of 10.

J. R.Quaint Hotel in the thick of things
Stayed two nights in May 2024
We enjoyed our stay in Killarney and the room was decent but it was also stifling for most of the evening. My partner was convinced that our room must have been located directly above a pizza restaurant or something (he even called down to reception to check haha) but that was not the reason.. I think it just lacked airflow. Nice shower and coffee set up though. Bed was comfortable and hotel is very quaint with historic info and details throughout.
And the staff downstairs were lovely. We didn't partake of the breakfast offerings since the hotel was overrun with tour bus visitors and there are so many awesome offerings nearby.
S. B.Ordered the Club sandwich and the tikka wrap. Sandwich was dry but everything else was outstanding. Service was second to none they honestly couldn't do enough for us. While we were eating outside an elderly lady tripped on the cobblestone path. Staff instantly rushed to her side, rang her husband for her, brought her an umbrella to keep her dry as she gathered herself and then brought her inside to allow her to clean her face before she set off again. Should be very proud of your staff

Rooms were beautiful and bathrooms were large.

W. B.The International Hotel was awesome and we had an awesome room while we were there! Going to the hotel we realized there was a small loading zone area where we could offload the luggage making it really easy even though the car park is just a bit away. The car park is toward the center of town but there is an alleyway making it easy to walk to the hotel, so it's not really an issue once you drop off your luggage. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas time and we could tell that the hotel was luxurious with the tasteful decorations throughout complimenting the older charming feel.
There were several 1/4 flight stairs taking us up and down on the way to our room & then one more flight of stairs to go down to our room which was somewhat strange but once we got to the room we found the trek was worth it! The room was very spacious and had a walk in shower along with a jacuzzi tub making it a great place to stay with nice creature comforts.
The location is pretty close to everything around town as well so walking is very easy. We ended up just leaving our rental in the car park until it was time to leave since everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing while we were here, very friendly and helpful!

We were part of a tour group and they went above & beyond to make sure our group could be served breakfast before an early departure. We had two servers, a male & female, I'd say in their 20's.
We are "Golden Girls" in our 60's & 70's, but the way these two fabulous young people interacted with us was just brilliant.. 🤗
They were uber effecient but managed to make the time to have the chat & craic with us. They really made our experience so much fun!😛 Management, take note... These guys are a brilliant asset to your business!
We had the Beef, Salmon, Eton mess, cheesecake & trio of ice-cream.. Mains portions were so generous & each bite was nicer than the last.. (Homer Simpson drool kind of nice 🤤) Deserts were just absolute sublime too🥰
Price per portion /quality was 100% on par.
Would we go back again? Absolutely!

D. S.There was no way to load and unload baggage when checking in and out of the hotel. No drop off area made it extremely difficult. Guest must be able to navigate stairs. Can not get to room without numerous sets of stairs making it difficult for anyone who has trouble ambulating or is elderly

T. M.This is the perfect place to stay in Killarney. It is centrally located in the town center and a very short walk from the train and bus station. Beautifully appointed hotel with old world charm. Public areas ( lounge, library ) were great with warm, comfortable ambience. The entire staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant served delicious, inexpensive food. Breakfast was served in the breakfast room which again was lovely with a fireplace, and made to order breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Killarney.

O. C.Old world charm, excellent service, friendly staff (which we come to expect in the kingdom) & excellent food. We were down for the night at a 70th, they have the best (literally) finger food we have ever tried. We have already booked another night before Xmas and are bringing the kids.

M. B.Went to Hannigans Bar for a Guinness and cup of tea after an evening stroll in town. The staff were friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the tea and Guinness was just what we needed before our walk home in the rain.

We liked the setting, the kindness of the very attentive and attentive staff, the traditional Irish cuisine of good quality compared to what we tasted for almost the same price in other restaurants in the city. S. C.Excellent hotel in a central location. Upon our arrival the employees John and Luka looked after us as best they could. The room was spectacular, the bathroom with Jacuzzi tub deserves a special mention. Excellent welcome decorations in the room. Breakfast more than satisfactory. The adjoining pub is also excellent. Try the toblerobe cocktail for those with a sweet tooth.
K. v.Very good hotel, good food, delicious beer, excellent service by very friendly staff! We really enjoyed a short six-day holiday in this hotel where we honeymooned forty years ago and have now celebrated our fortieth anniversary. The special attention that the hotel paid to this very surprised us and we really appreciated it.
