Very nice place near water and real big rocks.

Myself and my husband are just back from a very indulgent 5 night stay at Parknasilla. This was our fifth time staying here and yet again we thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive and as always very friendly. We were extremely lucky with the weather and so availed of the beautiful walks around the resort as well as venturing out to Derrynane beach which is worth a visit, it's absolutely stunning. I had 2 treatments in the Spa and my husband had 1 and I have to say the facial I received from Rachel was exactly what I needed and I would highly recommend her. We will definitely return to Parknasilla in hopefully the not too distant future.

Had a wonderful 3 days in Parknasilla Hotel. Lovely friendly staff, comfortable room and fantastic food. We walked several trails which were rugged and great fun. Jacuzzi lovely and warm as was the pool. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at Parknasilla! It's a magical place, even though the weather did not cooperate at all. We loved the restaurant, the live music and appreciated the first-rate service. Our only disappointment was that the wind and rain canceled the meet the owl program. For US travelers, it also would have been nice to have more USB outlets in the Lodges.

Have just come back from a five-night stay here, staying in the courtyard accommodation. The accommodation was satisfactory, although not as pictured on the website. Furniture was fairly worn and stained and some kitchen essentials were missing. A blind is also badly needed on front doors.
Can’t say I was pleased to discover that as courtyard guests, we are only entitled to eat breakfast in the hotel during a one-hour slot between 8am and 9am and that we would be charged €1 each to borrow a towel to use the leisure centre, restrictions not imposed on ‘real’ hotel guests. It would seem that although we were considered guests, we were in fact ‘lesser guests’.
An email received before our visit outlined all the dos and donts and mentioned The Tram which would offer takeaway food on site which would be provided for our convenience. This we found was closed for the duration of our stay, and it seems for some time to come.
On arrival back to our accommodation on the night before our departure, we were greeted by what can only be described as an eviction notice on our front door, reminding us to leave the next day by 10am and to pay the bill. I very much doubt that hotel residents got the same treatment. Nice hotel, lovely views but us lesser guests won’t be back.

We stayed in the lodge and was great. All the staff are lovely. The warm seawater pool was amazing after coming from the sea.

We celebrated our engagement at the weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable experience, especially Shauna who made sure we were looked after in every way. Will definitely be back again. Absolutely beautiful hotel and wonderful friendly staff

Just back from the best hotel stay I’ve ever had in Ireland. Myself and my partner stayed here this weekend and everything from check in to check out was just perfect. This weekend was very special for us as I proposed to my girlfriend on Friday. The staff were so friendly and helpful and they made everything amazing for us. Thank you to all at Parknasilla. Myself and Anna have found a special place for us and we will be regularly visiting here for that magical experience that the hotel promises. Two very happy guests. Can’t recommend Parknasilla highly enough. 10/10

Staying here at present, the staff are kind, friendly and helpful. As a family we've been eager to get away in these strange times and support local tourism. The location here is stunning and the weather makes it very picturesque. The food is varied, fresh and tasty.

We had a fantastic stay here, everything was spot on. Highly recommend it for a weekend break or a week away as there's lots to do onsite

One of my favourite hotels on the planet. Breathtaking scenery and long walks around the grounds. Great leisure facilities. Food is second to none. Staff very friendly and helpful, even in stressful Covid times. We never have a bad stay here.

Lovely hotel set in a beautiful landscape. Staff were very friendly and I will definitely visit again

We had a magical family reunion in Parknasilla. Natural amenities and views can not be beaten anywhere in Ireland. Sea swimming and kayaking spectacular

We went last year, we’re going this year, it’s just a great place to get away from it all, beautiful setting and perfect facilities for the kids.

Only done a delivery there so all I can comment on is the scenery and that's stunning well recommend

Stunning location , favourite hotel in Ireland despite the weather !

Amazing food, our room was stunning. Fab walks and places to swim. Would definitely go back

My new wife and I spent 3 nights here for our honeymoon this week. I am surprised to see some reviews of poor service when we experienced the best service we have had at any hotel ever. Reception, Front of house and dining room service was always excellent, timely and friendly. We were also very graciously upgraded to an amazing room for 2 nights of our stay. We spent the first night in one of their smaller back rooms but this room whilst not the roomiest was spotless, comfortable and very well maintained with a view of the forestry to the rear of the hotel. The food was very good all 3 days of our stay, I recommend the chocolate fondont it was the best desert iv ever had! The staff, hotel and stunning location provided us with a very special stay and we were also talking briefly to a couple of have been coming to the hotel for 27 years, I think that speaks for its self. Thank you to all.

Beautiful setting, a place everyone that wants to chill out should stay. Top class.
F. S.
This hotel seems to be somewhat of a classically loved hotel in Ireland but I have to say I was really disappointed.
The setting is beautiful, and that's probably the only reason I'd recommend going there.
The food is just not up to standard for price. My chowder was bland and the fish for main was overcooked and chewy.
Shower in room leaks all over floor.
Generally, the place is in need of a large update to the food offerings and decor etc.
Staff were great.

Special place where leisure and pleasure go hand in hand. Friendly staff and fabulous food served with a smile despite the visors and masks. Irish and non Irish eyes are still smiling. Some thirty years since our first visit this old lady of hospitality retains her majestic charm.
L. L.
The staff are so warm and friendly, nothing is a problem for them . The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, the food is amazing, their covid standards are very good and I felt safe and distanced properly at all times. A full 10/10,
I will most certainly be back 😍

Fantastic resort and the golf course is not too bad either. Friendly staff and good food
N. K.
Not the cheapest but pure luxury and worth every penny. Lovely setting, top rate accommodation and such a kind, helpful and respectful staff. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

We booked a 2 night break for 2 adults, three kids and 1 dog. Just brilliant. We got an upgrade to 2 joining rooms with balcony. Brilliant service, excellent food. We wanted quiet and yet with activities. We paid for golf and archery with kids. Both well done. Swimming and spa excellent. We will go back here again. Check out the dog kennels for 10 euro a night. Clean, kennels but not heated. We had warm weather so not a problem. Give it a go.

This place encourages you to unwind and relax and absorb the tranquility of the magnificent location. It is a real antidote to the regular hustle and bustle of everyday.
The hotel room was a quiet haven and comfortable with views over kenmare Bay. The restaurant served a great choice of seafood and meat all in a lovely setting with excellent friendly service. breakfast the next morning had plenty of choice of hot and cold foods.
We always enjoy the various walks and trails around the estate.
Overall a enjoyable stay.

Best Hotel in Ireland. Stunning views, beautiful food, pier jumping, followed by soak in outside hot pool.
B. D.
beautiful location food and service excellent...
lack of a bar/lounge a disadvantage...

Classy Irish resort. Spotlessly clean with very efficient and pleasant service. I'd like to thank staff and management for creating and keeping atmosphere. You can just sit and read in the drawing room and feel like George Bernard Shaw will come and sit beside you.
S. R.
Didn’t stay at the hotel but had a bite at the restaurant downstairs. Amazing view while you eat. If you aren’t, eh, part of the crowd here, there are some reasonably priced items on the menu and the service is great. If nothing else, definitely worth a stop for some tea and scones if that’s something you fancy. The building itself is beautiful.

Words cannot express how much I loved this resort. The grounds are breathtaking and very well managed. Rooms were very comfortable. We especially loved the bar entertainment. Our massages were very well done and the thermal Spa was out of this world. I would return in a heartbeat. I truly think this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.
J. D.
Super hotel, excellent staff. Room had a super view of the bay area. Room was cozy, but very well presented. Breakfast was probably a buffet before Covid but with table service it was very good either way.
B. H.
A cousin of mine was on holidays from in England for the week in the holiday villas. My mum and I went to spend the afternoon with him and his family. Beautiful scenery, lovely grounds and gardens to walk around, the sun was out spent time in the beach area and had refreshments after in the bar. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Very impressed with the holiday villa. The afternoon rolled into evening and our visit was over. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful place, great views and a really stunning walled garden set within the castle ruins. Well kept and stocked with a variety of plants and edible treats for hotel guests this is just a fantastic addition to a great place. (do not help yourself to the fruit n veg you will be reported via the CCTV) A lovely set of trails n walks take you in and around the woods. The Lobster was filmed here and it's a perfect setting.

Great location for a family.
The facilities for families are very good. The swimming pool is up for children from 10am until 6pm. There is a playzone area mainly aimed at younger kids, under 10. There are activities throughout the day for kids and they have people who will look after the kids while you grab a drink or something to eat.
There is also an area for older children with table football and table tennis.
For an extra charge kayaking and other activities can be arranged from the hotel.
The lodges are approximately 15 minute walk from the hotel itself. And they do not do room service to the lodges. However, a tram street food is located at the entrance to the lodge areas. This servers food from independent suppliers 4/5 nights per week. Usually burgers and pizzas but the quality is very good.
The grounds of the hotel are amazing and you could spend hours walking around and not cover the full grounds.
N. B.
Very nice place with great views. When we stayed here the staff was clearly overworked and stretched and didn’t know how to cope with the number of visitors they had.
We had dinner here too. The food was very good, slightly expensive for what you got. The restaurant was very busy and loud which took away from the wonderful view and romantic setting you are paying a premium for. The staff were completely overwhelmed and very slow. They had run out of the wine we ordered and when we got the bill, they had charged us for both bottles (which got amended of course, but still disappointing for a place that clearly wants to market itself as sophisticated).
M.
My partner and I stayed here with my mother for her 80th birthday in 2013. Unfortunately she has passed on now. I shudder to think how much a week's stay must have cost, but the hotel was superb. We stayed in lovely large rooms with beautiful views of the sea. The furniture was sumptuous, the food was excellent, the spa was luxurious. In the evening an excellent pianist performed in the lounge. The staff helped make the place special because they were so friendly.
Unfortunately because of the cost and it is a long way to travel, I doubt we will stay here again. But I strongly recommend it.
g. c.
Stayed in the 3 bed villas with our two kids(2 and 5). Had everything you would need. The hotel itself was also great. If the weather is good there is endless outdoor activities and on the off chance it rains plenty to do indoors. I look forward to returning.
R. M.
What an amazing place where to spend a weekend getaway with family or, as in my case, with friends. We stayed at the resort’s Woodland Villas, self catering accommodations in the middle of nature. The Villas are big, cozy and spotless clean. You can reach the hotel with several
walking paths along the coast and I strongly recommend it. We had lunch at the hotel, the staff was professional and extremely nice and the food was good. We also went to the hotel’s spa and spent a lot of time in the jacuzzis that had the best view on the sea. It’s hard to top this experience and I am looking forward to going back.
K. B.
This place is outstanding! One of the best hotels in Ireland I’ve ever experienced! Such a gem! Stayed for a weekend while attending a wedding and every little detail was catered to. Great staff and one of the most beautiful locations I’ve seen in the country. A must visit.
W. F.
We stayed in the holiday lodges as we have 2 small kids. They are perfect home away from home. With all the facilities of the hotel which is lovely. Great amenities, lots of walks, great walks for kids and hotel staff very friendly and a great support.
L. O.
Lovely hotel, we stayed in the woodland Villas. The villas are great to stay in if you are with a larger group. They sleep up to 6 people and have their own open plan living/dinning/kitchen area. The rooms are large and nicely decorated, although some basic maintenance wouldn't go a miss.
The grounds of the hotel are lovely and very scenic.
The Spa is quite large with many different treatment rooms and very well kept with some lovely views.
The staff are very friendly, professional and are very willing to help with any issues. The service at the hotel was excellent!

Breathtaking scenery. Beautiful hotel. Excellent food. Staff go above and beyond to help in any way. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Well worth a 5 star rating

I have dined in the hotel Doolittle Bar as a non resident several times and found the food consistently very good. I dined here on 28 Aug 19 and had a great steak dinner. Nice ambience, views and pianist music.

Great experience overall!
But, i just had my first "Non alcoholic Irish Coffee "
Yes, someone forgot to add the Whiskey!!!
Dear coffee.

Great hotel. Beautiful location. Majority of staff are exceptional. Was there during mid term and it was busy with lots of kids so I would recommend couples avoid school holidays if you are looking for a quieter break. Good choice at breakfast. Plenty of local walks, activities for the kids including a press full of board games. Reminds me of castlemartyr in cork but this having better service. Food was excellent in both the bar and main restaurant.
B. F.
Excellent service and very friendly staff. Food was top class. Pool and Spa really good. Walks were most enjoyable, made better of course by the good weather. Was here a number of times before & will look forward to my next visit. Many thanks. Bill.

Beautiful classic manor house hotel situated with views across the water to the northern peninsula or county cork. Relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. A must see if visiting this part of Kerry. Wonderful for lunch or teas and coffees with beautiful walks around the estate. Accommodation is second to none with even the most conservative rooms offering luxury and amazing views. There are scheduled events on set days advertised in the lobby, the animal morning is not to be missed from 11 am on Thursdays and Fridays, we were lucky enough to catch a wonderful Owl display.
T. D.
This was my favorite hotel out of the four different ones I stayed at during my first trip to Ireland. It is tucked away in a beautiful nature-surrounded area. This place is gorgeous and the staff are all lovely. The grounds have several walks that can be taken ranging from thirty minutes to over an hour that are each filled with beauty. Our room was facing out from the back of the hotel with a breathtaking view of a forest with mountains in the distance. I highly recommend a stay at this oasis. If you can, stay multiple evenings!
D. D.
A Fantastic family resort in a beautiful location. It is surrounded by trails laid out for enjoyable walks and also has an adjacent golf course. Kids are well catered for and we really enjoyed the exotic pet display.
J. S.
Great resort with terrific location on a bay into the Atlantic . Lot of areas to walk in the woods or along the water
Or to golf on as scenic a course as you'll see anywhere
The food and staff were wonderful
I'd give them a five we're it not for the 2 or 3 dozen children under three everywhere morning , noon or evening . They seem to have a special for young families to stay in the cottages. Except they don't
So if you want to stay for a couple nights or weekend you better ask if they have a daycare special . If they do , save a thousand euros and go to McDonalds with a playground and you'll have the same effect !
N. C.
My wife 3 kids and myself stayed with Parknasilla for their Christmas package.only words to describe our stay would be magical. Location incredible, facilities amazing, food delicious and the staff are out of this world. Truly the best way to spend your Christmas. You get to spend every minute with your kids and family who are lucky enough to also be there and to be waited on hand and foot and just chill. My recommendation a must to experience.
F. V.
Very nice location for a quietly retreat. Huge domain with a lot of path. Spa, swimming pool, golf, a playground for the kids. The lodges are well equipped for self-catering and autonomy. Very quiet environment. The countryside is beautiful.
D. H.
We have stayed here in the self catering villas for 3 summers now. The facilities are excellent and the kids love it. Staff are all excellent.
The local area has a lot of outdoor attractions. Beaches are beautiful (weather depending) and you are not far from Killarney.
Can't fault the place.
L. P.
We had an amazing week at The woodland Villas. We will definitely be back. We loved having a home away from home with a beautiful hotel close by. The facilities are fab and we always felt welcome in the hotel with the kids. There are so many different walks we didn't have enough time to do them all! Top of our list was the fairy trail and the treasure hunt. My 4 year old was in her element. She loved the pool and the playground. The Tram which served takeaway food at the playground in the evenings was a godsend.
J. O.
Amazing place. Couldn't say enough good things about it. Stayed in the lodges which are generously sized and great value for a family vacation. The walks on the grounds are the highlight. The spa is amazing especially the heated stone recliners.
A typical day was a 90 minute walk with the dogs followed by an hour in a well equipped gym. Then a swim in tge sea off the pier in front of the hotel. Immediately I to the hotel and 15 minutes in the outdoor hot tub. Then a selection of saunas and steam rooms finished off with a snooze in the heated recliners.lunch in the hotel and then either more walking, a round of golf, or a trip to sea in a rib to see the seals and the islands.
The restaurant is top class. Staff who cannot do enough, a great wine list and the one occasion we had breakfast was memorable.
The only slight criticism was we had several memorable home cooked meals in the lodge and the availability of enough crockery cutlery and utensils was a little hit and miss. But overall the experience merits 5 stars.
S. H.
Tranquil but informal family friendly hotel. Stunning setting. Fantastic scenery and countryside nearby. Multiple walking trails within the expansive grounds. Great spa. Teenage hangout with table tennis tables and air hockey / table football. Daily varied activities including watersports and a guided walk with a super and local marine biologist. Friendly helpful staff.
K. D.
View from our room at this spectacular hotel. Cannot wait to go back. The food was devine, the various walking trails on the extensive grounds, the total effeciency of every staff member we encountered, the list goes on and on.....
A. O.
We go every year, have for years and so did my grandparents. It is the most fantastic place, even in snow, and rain.
The staff are great too, probably the greatest hotel staff in the hotel world. Seeing the same faces for years and years gives a great sense of continuity and really makes you feel relaxed.
a. b.
Beautiful location, very nice comfortable rooms with good facilities. Pool and spa along with outdoor hot tubs overlooking the sea. Stayed here for our wedding anniversary, staff made a wonderful effort to make it special for us, as well as engaging with us with genuine interest. Only thing that would make it perfect - real milk in the rooms for the tea!
P. S.
Epic service, food and loads to do. We had a brilliant time.
M. K.
Amazing beds and gorgeous views. Very attentive staff and a great spa area. We didn't have food but the drinks at the bar were excellent aswell. As 2 youbger couples we still felt warmly welcomed even though we usually don't stay in fancy places. Breakfast was also very delicious and offered a huge variety from charcuterie over granola to full irish and fresh fruit. Flawless.
M. S.
We spent a lovely relaxing weekend at Parknasilla. It's a magical place. We were so well looked after and had no fears regarding Covid as it was managed so well..
B. C.
Fabulous hotel, food, staff and the most important relaxing and so safe for our staycation. Fabulous choice. Greats trails and views
P. D.
We go here every couple of years to rest and recharge, it a wonderful tranquil place with amazing scenery and beautiful walks. The hotel restaurants are fantastic, we normally take a Woodland Villa for a week and have family stay at the weekend. The villa sleeps 6 and is very hi spec, warm and comfortable .
A. S.
This is such a beautiful hotel. The spa is superb: The thermal suite with an amazing view and the two hot tub Jacuzzis outside, overlooking the water are complemented by the beautiful and clean facilities and swimming pool.
Would heartily recommend for anyone.
P. B.
Stunning location, great service, lovely food, pricey? But worth at least one stay for the experience!
D. D.
I stayed in the self service accommodation here recently with some friends.
The house was brilliant, really high spec, really warm too.
(there was a leak in our house that was fixed really promptly by the plumber from the hotel)
We were just a short stroll from the hotel and were able to access all the facilities(the spa is amazing)
The grounds offers some stunning walks within the grounds itself, i found it was great for mountain biking too.
Less than 5 minutes from the local town for a night out too.
Overall extremerly happy with this resort
S. J.
An amazing experience in an amazing location. The staff here are incredible, nothing is too much and with the new normal we are all facing, they are leading the way in making you feel relaxed and so so welcome
S. R.
Had an excellent stay! I was served cannon of lamb at their restraunt on site and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff was very friendly, and the accommodations were fantastic. Make sure to go on the nature walks they have on sight!
K. L.
Not what we expected only herd good things but was let down by the experience.

This resort located on Ring of Kerry and on the water. The resort itself gives a nice rustic old Castle feel. Rooms are specious and updated to the latest decor but does not have either AC or a fan. While being in the Ring of Kerry, one can easily access the loop but if you don't feel like driving, you can enjoy 10 different trails at the resort which are well maintained and easy to navigate. Resort also has two restaurants. Both restaurants had great service and good food. You can enjoy great water front views while eating your dinner.
D. W.
Excellent hotel. Stayed in the lodges which are a short walk from the hotel itself. Lodges are perfect for couples or families with ample space and everything that you need. The hotel facilities offer pool, spa and gym amongst others. The grounds of the Parknasilla are amazing. So many trails brings you along the edges of Kenmare bay and through scenic woodland.
M. P.
Great setting great food and great staff.
Z.
Great place. Food is exceptional. The hotel's appointments have a seductive and sumptuous 'country' feel. That said, there's a refreshing absence of pretension or even formality about Parknasilla: it's unmistakeably great for kids: the staff are reliably warm and cheerful and there are plenty of kids-friendly facilities, like an indoor games room and a pool which children are welcome to use up to 6pm. There are lots of nearby walks, the longest of which lasts an hour and a half. Naturally, Parknasilla is a great place to bring dogs, although they have to spend the night in kennels, rather than either the hotel or neighbouring apartments. There are loads of organised activities, the highlight of which is probably group whale watching, followed by individual or paired kayaking on the sea, or in the adjacent lagoon (on days when shelter matters most.) Worth a visit, even if it's to drop in for lunch, or tea and sandwiches. Views are epic. Everything, in fact, is pretty exceptional, which is reflected in the prices.
J. O.
Top class resort and facilities. Stayed in the courtyard apartments. Lovely walks around the resort. Pool is too deep for kids under 5 if they have to stand.
S. O.
Parknasilla is beautiful, lovely location, such beautiful scenery. Only downside is distance to the 3 bed lodges, I mean it not far but if u wanted to get dressed up and go to the hotel for dinner it's a trek in heels 😔 Maybe a little shuttle between 7 and 12 would be a good idea
C. H.
lovely hotel in beautiful part of the country. Rooms very spacious . Fantastic shower . Cocktails and food amazing. Really worth the stay particularly if the weather is nice. About 20 minute drive to Kenmare and 3 minutes from sneem.
C. M. S.
Nice hotel with fabulous leisure and spa facilities, rooms are slightly small but clean and modern. Reception and downstairs area could be modernised slightly as it seemed a little bit battered. Breakfast was standard, but great waiting staff that were very friendly. Good hotel in fantastic scenic location, would definitely recommend.
O. M.
This is a lovely stop along the Ring of Kerry. We stopped for the view and we’re enchanted by the hotel. We’d love to return here and spend a few days enjoying the spa, the kayaking and the hiking.
E. O.
To quote George Bernard Shaw about his time at Parknasilla - "I tell you this place does not belong to any world that you and I have ever worked or lived in... ...it is part of our dream world"!
M. M.
Didn't realise it was a children's resort. Came to get away from it all and relax. The surroundings are wonderful and the room was lovely. Unfortunately the place is designed around and marketed for parents to take their children to, so we were surrounded by lots of running and shouting children. I like children, but when we go away to relax, we won't be coming here in future.
O. A.
The hotel is set in a stunning location. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. The rooms are spacious, and comfortable. The hotel grounds are beautiful. This place is magic!
G. H.
Stayed in the Lodges. Staff is very friendly, spa is good and bigger than a little pool. The jakuzzi is on the balcony with a view to the ocean. All the surroundings are beautiful, highly recommended if you can afford it.
A. F.
Stunning location.. middle management are very rude. Food very standard fair for the money. The four stars are the location and the building.. service just a 3 star...
A. M.
Great place to stay and explore the ring of Kerry. Staff are friendly and attentive. Plenty to do for adults and children. Scenery is spectacular and grounds are beautiful
M. M.
Large beautiful room. Gorgeous grounds. Called to ask how to turn off heat, front desk sent a porter to turn it off. Man was verry brusk. Marched in with a short hello, turned off heater then said is that it, we replied yes and he marched out and slammed the door. Disappointed by his behavior. Walked on grounds were lovely . Location is well out of the way. If you want a resort to stay at this is great. If you want to see the sights in kilarney i thought it was too far away. Drive was long with difficult roads. Narrow winding.
D.
4 star hotel but aspiring to be 5. Great service nice people good food at reasonable prices. Grounds around hotel are fab. Lots to do for kids. Don't hesitate book now.
H. U.
Nice chill vacation spot, spa with a scenery. Good food, lovely staff. Villas are a little bit far from the main hotel. Need 15 min walks. Villas wifi pass are in the tv.
G. M.
Amazing resort... Staff V friendly....
D. M.
Incredibly friendly staff and nice grounds. Sadly this place is expensive, exceptionally expensive for what you get. It cost us €800 for spa, two nights and dinner. Versus your options, there are better venues in the area. Wouldn’t return sadly.
S. L.
Amazing relaxing spot.. Loved it all
A. M.
Great place for a family holiday. Our kids loved tramping around on all the trails. Really secluded and peaceful. Re-booked for next year already.

Sits on the edge of the sea 🌊 Did not go indoors so can't comment further.
M. C.
Shall return. Location has amazing scenery. Hugging coast set amongst a natural forest. Not all activities inclusive. No fishing. Children's room poor. But rest excellent. Self catering villas high spec.
o. b.
Expensive spa and swimming pool for what it is at €25 per person, we did not stay in the hotel itself so can not give any review on that side og things. The grounds are gorgeous and the view is astounding.
A. O. C.
Wonderful break away from reality! Great facilities and food. Friendly staff. Children amused. Beautiful scenery and walk ways - what more could one want?
A. F.
Beautiful location, stay & staff

Wonderful Hotel, friendly staff and 5 star service. We asked if we could move to a loft room and they were very accomodating. They had our bags moved when we returned to new room after lunch in Sneem, and had a complimentary box of chocolates in our new room- Thanks Georgina! The Pool area inside and out are lovely- no kids from 6pm. The walks and hikes built around the hotel and superb. Food in PYGMallion restaurent was delishious, fresh fish and lamb. Breakfast was fit for a king. Enjoy your stay!
D. 0.
Great place to stay. Staff are very helpful but discreet when needed be. Facilities and and accommodation made for a queen or king. Fantastic views.
B. M.
Cosy old fashioned resort hotel nestled on a point by the sea. The main building is very old school, huge open fires, ornate woodwork and fancy furniture. Great views out over Kenmare bay from the front of the main building. Loads of little walks to do around the grounds and places to explore. Plenty of activities, kayaking, etc. Didn't partake of the Spa facilities but the outdoor hot tub looked inviting. The bar has open fires and a good selection of local craft beer and local spirits.
S. S.
Lovely place, stunning views. Friendly and welcoming staff... And the Steak is incredible.
j. b.
The views of Kenmare bay and the Kerry mountains are beautiful. The staff are very healpful I have been in the self catering lodges a few times. Everything is lovely 🤗
a. l.
Its amazing.. Brilliant Location.. spectacular Views.. and on a Clear Night.. All the Stars You Can Count... Good Food and Drinks at Good Prices...

Good hotel, clean and has lots of activities to choose from (some activities you need to pay extra)
Friendly and helpful staff
The only thing is the food, it’s a hit and miss . But the staff always tried their best to fix the problem.
J. D.
If you like peace and quiet this is for you .It is about 2 miles from the nearest village.c With long and short walks. And beside the sea. A bit on the expensive side in the hotel but their are houses to rent on the property also.

(Translated) An absolutely fantastic magical world. Located directly on the Ring of Kerry, the hotel offers everything your heart desires and much more in a spacious area. The hotel is excellently equipped with everything, the staff is super polite and accommodating, the bar with the live music was a real experience. We very much regretted having to continue after 2 nights.

T. K.
(Translated) Had booked over booking there. Unfortunately, our room category on site was then no longer available and they put us in a really dark room. Nothing with sea view, but on the exhaust fan of the kitchen. Staff was hard-working but not more. Will not stay there more based on this experience, although the hotel is actually very idyllic and well maintained. I remember the breakfast as good but not exceptional.
(Original)

(Translated) This place is always impressive. You are just relaxed from the first minute. The opportunities for hiking are fantastic and the spa area offers everything you could want. In addition great food and sometimes also live music.
With the rooms you have the choice whether you want a very classically furnished one in the main house or a modern one in the extension.
There are various courses and excursions, from guided hikes to canoe tours and archery. There is also a golf course that I have never used. Maybe next time.
At the most, one could improve the WLAN coverage. Each room has its own here and there is one in the main hall. In the rest of the building you have none. Since I usually use my stay for digital detox anyway, this is not a big restriction for me.
(Original)

(Translated) If you are in the vicinity, you have to go here. The best house far and wide. A huge old Irish mansion, almost a castle, perfect service, very luxurious rooms, terrific food with even more magnificent views of the bay and the sea. Perfect service. Not cheap, but the value for money is definitely right.
(Original)
M. N.
(Translated) We did not book a room here, just the spa! Although this is not publicly advertised, but highly recommended. The entrance fee is 25 € per person. In addition, one should not be confused - go into the hotel in front, down the stairs and then you get to the spa reception. If you do not have bathing caps you have to buy them for 1 €.
The spa has a gym, a swimming pool overlooking Kenmare Bay, and two outdoor hot tubs that provide beautiful views. There are also two showers, four saunas / steam baths and a small relaxation area. Water is free to drink.
The price-performance ratio is right here in any case and is really a small insider tip, since it is very quiet and you can really relax. A large part of the spa may be entered but only from 16 years.
(Original)
